Pls I need advise on cyprus visa, a freind called and assure me of the visa and work. Today's call, but demand small amount of money to run. I jus want to knw hw easy their visa ease and also confirm if there's any run on their visa going nw. Thanks
Which Cyprus? North or South Cyprus? In either Cyprus, you can only be partly employ or fully employ without trouble using your student residence permit, the common jobs under this category are construction related jobs, restaurant, dry cleaning, farms, hotel, mechanic works etc. The salary obtained from above mentioned jobs are relatively for daily or few days survival.

So if you are not a student, you must be an expatriate, professional or investor to live and work in Cyprus. Meaning your employer will provide you with work permit and pay your tax to the government monthly....so the salary obtained from this category is higher and sustainable as compared to above category depending on job type. Before you travel to Cyprus on this level, you must have secured the job and have job offer letter, conditions and salary structure agreement. Then, visit the embassy to apply for visit visa and on arrival after medical checks, your passport will be taken for work permit which your employer will be the one to process that.

If your case is not any of the above....then I will only tell you to run for your life.......Visa are to be applied by the applicants themselves. Most runs on visa are fraudulent as most of the agents end up to submit fake documents, group various lies and untrue information to support the application...these evidently will affect such applicant on a long run!

Pls oo how can I use my ATM card to pay for the official acceptance fee for EUL ($1000)
Unless the card is enabled for an online transaction, the limit allows for online transaction exceeds 1000 euro and the said university accept online payment. If all is yes, then locate the online link of the university and follow the payment instruction.

Hi Mr. Wip and good people in the house. Please do you have an idea of Istanbul Technical University tuition fee for an Engineering Msc. programme. Can't seem to find it on their website. Thanks.
Kindly email the international office or graduate office of ITU for fees or direction to locate the fees on the website. They are in charge of that!

Will the MasterCard be charged at the normal rate?
All cards either master, junior or visa cards are charged based on bank rates.

@wipp.....omeone said equivalent statement is for those who have not completed their degree that not for secondary school student that have certificate or statement of results how true is it this message for WAEC/GCE holders students? general house comment also on ur own circumstances pls
This is just simple English that requires straightforward translation. "Certificate of Equivalence” shows that the high school diploma of the candidate is equivalent to the diplomas of Turkish high schools...............The ministry of education does issue this certificate...I applied in 1999 and my brother collected his about 3 yrs back.

You can email or call Turkish embassy for further clarification. They will tell you what they need and you can supply that.

Good day mr wip,
Due to this new development, is it possible for my dad to use a MasterCard he got from a bank in neighbouring African country to pay my fees online or can l fund my cousin(a student in NEU) . naira account then he will withdraw and go to EMU and pay in CASH
First, try your dad card....if it has no limit on online transaction and amount...it would be the best. If not try your cousin if his/her card has not been limited as well.....You may have to ask your cousin first if his card is currently working and he is sure to credit the university.

If your cousin card or dad can't work...then you have to go for BLACK MARKETERS to purchase the USD.....for me I can credit for you also..... .....THE BIG BUT is that I will only do that at the same black market rate of the day you want the university to be credited.

In whichever decision you take ...be sure you can take the risk also (just to avoid stories that give heart attack).....

Best wishes!

Good day bosses,
Pls when paying EMU fees online, will the fees be charged at the CBN OFFICIAL RATE,BLACK MARKET RATE OR AT YOUR BANK'S MASTERCARD WITHDRAWAL RATE?
Urgent respone needed.
Thanx
Unfortunately you won't be able to use the card for foreign transfer again.

I just got below message from two of my Nigerian banks:

Effective 17 May 2016, your Naira Debit and Credit Cards can only be used for local transactions at POS, ATM and Online for Nigerian retailers. Owing to the current volatility in the foreign exchange market we no longer offer access to goods and services priced in foreign currency, including purchases offshore and online on international websites.

It will be charged by the bank rate, however each bank in Nigeria has different and similar rates. The banks currently are also doing like black marketers since they charge almost same rate as black market. Daimond charged me a total of 321N/USD yesterday and Gtb charged similar.

Note: the rate is not fixed and it changes every seconds..also most of the banks have limits daily per day on the card online while some don't have. So ask your bank before you proceed.

Best wishes.

Cool , I just want us to negotiate the black market price that's all ...I am paying $1000 to EUL
Sir,
I am only trying to assist you to credit the university while you credit me BLACK MARKET RATE OF THAT DAY (no negotiation).....Paying for you means I will save you bank transfer charges.

The cheapest option for you is to use the Nigerian banks FORM A...so you can be charged CBN Rate. You can also wait for the tension to reduce may be your bank can get funds available.

Mr wip , mr layzie , my bank is saying funds is not available ooo , is there a way you guys can help and I will pay in Naira .. Mr wip help needed .... Mr layzie put me through oo
Why can't you try another bank? Visit other bank or try and see if you can use your card to pay online.

For me I can help you credit the university here within 10 min upto 30,000USD ....BUT YOU HAVE TO CREDIT ME IN BLACK MARKET NAIRA RATE.

I think if you want cheaper option you have to try another bank.

@Mr wip7...yeah I confirmed the Equivalence Statement stuff @ the Min of Edu & was told they just started requesting for it not quite long, and may take a week before they can get it done for me (express). Omo the charge no be here o...wetin turkish embassy need am for sef huh huh
The stamps are okay. You went yourself to Ministry of education in Abuja and they told you they just started Equivalence Statementhuh or your agent told you?

No no no Equivalence Certificate is not new is being existing since ages. I collected it for myself in 1999 for 100 naira. ...dont let agents deceive you... its cheap and I mean less than 3k...my younger brother did his own when he was traveling for studies in 2013 for 1000 naira.

Best wishes!

Thanks a lot mr @wip...my father want to travel with me to turkey cos am only 17 years and we are about to submit our application. Can you tell me what purpose of travel will my father apply? am considering ACCOMPANIMENT travel purpose for him but im thinking its only for traveller on sick bed. can he apply to travel as ACCOMPANY?
Turkish embassy do have the Accompaniment policy for parents and direct family members and age is not a barrier. We have students as old as 30 yrs which their parents or wife or husband accompanied ( meaning they were issued visa). So no problem fill that since both of you bear same surname and under relationship it's indicated he is your dad. He will be granted visa sharply. Meanwhile you will still submit parents consent while applying for the visa.
Best wishes!

Thanks wip7. So how does one go about this Equivalence Statement? Is it like an official translation of my result to the turkish language or what, as I am confused. How do students usually go about it here in Nigeria

Also, it seems the online application won't allow me submit successfully if I don't upload the No. 2 document, ie Attestation Letter from my Parents (for those under 18) & I am way above 18. How does one go about this as well

Thank You
You can get the equivalence certificate from ministry of education in Abuja. Ask for that and they will issue it to you.

You will not have issue with parents consent letter while filling the form unless you have chosen earlier that your date of birth is less than 18 years. Is only compulsory for those less than 18.
