Turkish Embassy Pre-Visa Form ONLINE For all applicants intending to study in North Cyprus or Turkey, you must fill the Pre-visa form online and book appointment. You don't need agents/touts to milk you or fill rubbish for you provided you have passed JSS 3 from your country and have access to the internet. Below is the link to the Turkish Pre-visa form irrespective of your location. A brief procedure is stated here: 1. Type the web address into the address bar of your web browser. 2. Select the country you will be applying from and the Turkish embassy in the country will pop up. 3. The pre-visa form has 5 stages and all most be correctly filled starting with your personal details. 4. In stage 5, you will be requested to upload certain documents depending on your country you are applying the visa from like your admission letter, telex, sponsor details, bank details, etc. For instance, applicants from Rwanda are asked just to upload Admission letter and telex, those from Mauritius only need admission letter, those from Uganda are asked to upload almost 8 documents and those from Nigeria just about 3-4 documents. So the country you are applying from determines the documents you will upload into the pre-visa form online. 5. After submission of the pre-visa form, you will see a button where you can book the appointment and choose the suitable date and time for yourself. 6. Ensure you print the submitted pre-visa form, have the originals of your documents and proceed to the embassy on the appointment date. 7. Be aware that because you paid your fees and obtained the confirmation of payment from the University does not translate that the embassy has received your details. Hence, allow between 1-2 weeks after you received payment confirmation/final acceptance letter before your details will appear on the embassy list. 8. For those travelling here, be aware that stuffs like winter jackets, laptops, noodles (indomie), etc. are expensive here. Thus, instead of spending an equivalent of 15, 000-20k Naira on a jacket, you can get those cheaper and quality ones from your country. This will help to conserve the initial excessive spendings. 9. Lastly, don't loan out money to people when you arrive here...because they mostly will tell you stories that touch the heart/anus and you mostly will not get your money back. 10. The essence of you here is education. Take note: education is not just by getting first class these days. It involves you to have practical knowledge, competitive skills in emerging trades and areas; ability to transform your education into success and legal achievement. 11. Lastly, the rate at which younger Nigerians/African are impregnating and being pregnant is alarming these days in Cyprus. The age is ridiculous considering the fact that these kids are being sponsored by their struggling parents. This atrocity will surely hinder the parties involve at such nascent age without financial, academic or business acumen to support these newborn babies. If you must have sex, please condoms and withdrawal tactics are not expensive here. Best wishes!

Adebola2010:Currently when you are applying for Turkish visa YOU will be the one to pick your own appointment date. Embassy won't send you appointment date but you will select the date and time suitable for you after you filled the PRE-VISA ONLINE FORM AND got it submitted. Do you fill the Pre-visa online form for Tutkish visa? If not visit Turkish embassy Abuja website and under INFO NOTE visit the new pre-visa wen link and fill the form then choose appointment date. Best wishes |
Adebola2010:To be honest I don't understand what your questions were! However, since you have gotten an appointment selected and if you are certain your name has been sent and received by the embassy...then you are on the right track. Just get all the necessary documents embassy required and get ready for the embassy. Best wishes! |
wizdavee:Start gathering now till that date. Best wishes! |
wizdavee:Which date do you get? If the date you obtain is early October. You can still go with that as most universities here will start proper classes in Oct and as a new student, you don't have any penalty. wizdavee:You can cancel and start all over. What it means is that you will cancel the entire pre-visa and start again. As I learnt recently, some touts/agents pre-booked some of the earlier dates and start reselling for victims in Abuja (at the embassy). Nigerians the way they make things difficult for another Nigerians require God and global intervention these days. |
maxpaine:It's strange yours is not showing any date. You may recheck this weekend and early next week. If such problem persist, you may have to visit the embassy to find a solution to it. Best wishes! |
wizdavee:Yes, just choose date and time suitable for you. |
Kj40:Yes CIU can issue admission, but EMU will only admit 2.2 applicants irrespective of the department. |
pascal2young:Advice I don't gerrit! University issued you admission and asked for a deposit...no advice on such case. For the students that required visa to come to Cyprus, they must pay the quoted fees before the university can send their details to the concerned embassy. What you pay is part of your tuition fees...so what do you mean by advice? Anyway if you need visa to study in Cyprus you must pay the fees to obtain a visa. Best wishes! |
pascal2young:Yes whatever deposit you make to any university is part of the tuition fees. |
taiwo92:I do receive, however, since you are still serving I think your admission is towards next year ? |
adey2014:Send me the following (university transcript, bachelor certificate/statement of result and international passport page). |
Kj40:Yeah |
Kj40:Towards the end of the online application, you will find a column asking if you wish to be consider for a scholarship with YES/NO option. |
Jayeby001:Happy mode! Best wishes in the visa interview. Welcome to the great island soon! |
Jayeby001:Since the appointment is free u can cancel and rebook. Best wishes |
Jayeby001:Yes you can cancle and rebook. |
willjoe:Cyprus is a big Island with a various number of universities in different cities. Hence, the cost of off-campus accommodation varies per city; the most expensive is Kyrenia which averagely cost 400 pounds per month excluding utility bills for 2 bed rooms. In Famagusta, a 3 bedroom can be shared and range between 300-500 USD monthly for whole flat. The older, and farther away the apartment to an institution the less expensive. So you can guide yourself with above estimates. Each university lists the cost of shared apartment on its website and sometimes state it on their acceptance letters. Campus accommodation in a shared room of 2-3 occupant will cost roughly 2000-3500 per 10 months (academic year) for one occupant. Yes, some university does have top-up scholarship based on grades each semester for excellent students. Feeding depends on the size of your mouth/tummy. However, cooking will save you cost than ordering or eating out as a student. Averagely a regular student will spend 100-300 usd on food monthly. For those that over eat, will spend higher, for those that smokes, drinks and womanise/menise will spend more monthly. For those that rent cars also spend more monthly cos averagely, it cost almost 15k to rent a car per 2-3 days here. So those are the vices that cost more here. |
willjoe:Unfortunately, I don't do mobile PM/chat. I have maintained this thread since 2009 and most questions regarding studying in Cyprus I have provided answers to it here. If you wish to apply, you can check my signature for the email address. Also, the universities in Cyprus also have information regarding way of life and living for incoming students on their websites. Best wishes! |
willjoe:Jobs are scarce to get; however some students have been able to find. Some of these jobs are time/energy-consuming and wages may only be for survival. Some have been lucky to find moderate and average income paying jobs. Regarding working and getting good grades; 1. theoretically/practically: the more time/energy-consuming jobs the less efficient the student will be academically. 2. Naturally: some students are talented with high IQ, fast learner and great planner...these sets can excel well even with time-consuming hard jobs. NOTE: All prospective students are advised to have stable/standby financial sponsor to study abroad. Ensure you have tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses to cover almost 80% of your duration here before you sign up to study. |
Kj40:You can find my email address in my signature. As a prospective graduate student, It will be great if you visit each university website, focus on your proposed department and see if they conduct research in your field of interests. Check each instructor in the department and look for his/her research profiles via academic searches. Check the department facilities, types of equipment, publications and nature of research being carried out. You may apply for both and by the end of your searches, you can decide on where to study finally between both. |
Kj40:Students are not stopped from taking a semester abroad if you find a university to spend the semester abroad. Also, most universities in TRNC do have exchange partner universities abroad. You may peruse on the university website to find the corresponding universities. Finally, the university does have personnel responsible for this. They will be best in providing you information on this. 2: which of the 2 schools is well recognise globallyI don't know which of the university is well recognise globally. You may do google or academic searches to get the answer. But I must point that due to the increasing economic, technology and knowledge gap currently, students should focus on personal improvement. Hence, applicants should direct their academic pursuit on institutions that can provide them with the serene living environment, universities that have about 80% of equipment/devices to make them versatile and competitive. Specifically, graduate applicants should be more interested in obtaining clear-cut skills, enhance their practical knowledge, research prowess, enterprising and management skills/experience. |
Kj40:To apply you can send me the following as electronic copies (transcript, bachelor statement of result/certificate and international passport page). The fees for master program in EMU, you can visit EMU website or check page 239 of this thread where I mentioned CIU and EMU master program fees. |
honypye:23rd Sept is very okay..........don't worry and don't waste your money traveling to Abuja unless you have too much money to waste as you won't be attended to without appointment. Best wishes! |
honypye:Hi, When is the application date? What do you mean by "if applying in person is a better option"? First, you must book an appointment to be allowed to submit your visa application and as far as am aware for two of my incoming students that applied just 3 days ago have available appointment dates for Sept. |
adesbaba:The total fees for the program of 7 courses+thesis and reg fees amount to 3800 and the program last for maximum 4 semesters. Each course is 350 euro so paying that initial deposit of 1000 euro means you have paid for some courses. The rest are paid as you move on after paying the reg fee. Accommodation fees are exclusive of scholarship and ranges 2800-3500 euro per yr. You only need to deposit 1000 euro to secure a visa, the rest fees/accommodation are settle after registrations. |
adesbaba:You can apply from November 2015. 2...can i get scholarship and will it cover all my 7 coursesYes in either CIU or EMU you will be granted 50% scholarship. After the scholarship, you will pay a total of 3800 euro at CIU or 6500 USD at EMU to complete such master program that last maximum of 2 years. 3..,with d scholarship will i still pay the 1000 euro deposit in CIUYes, you will be issued only 50% scholarship, and the fees are mentioned above. For CIU to obtain your visa, 1000 euro deposit from fees as mentioned above are requested, and 2700 usd is requested in case of EMU for now. |
izzieE:All documents NOT in English or Turkish must be translated to ENGLISH If you will be submitting to Turkish embassy. Most importantly, if the bank can't issue the statement of account in English he/she must request the bank to issue the reference letter that shows his/her banking commencement date and balance in English. |
tolam08:Visit the Turkish embassy website Abuja for details, procedure and documents required for visa. |
taiwo92:Yes |
Jayeby001:Upload your confirmation letter if you were admitted into EMU or unconditional acceptance letter if another university + Telex Transfer/payment receipt. |
taiwo92:I will advise you get a soft copy for the admission purpose, and hard copies can be addressed to your chosen department. Visit EMU website, click on the department web address and you will find the contact address. Ensure you mention the department name in your address. After arrival, you can visit the department to pick the hard copies for registration purpose. |
