FIRST BATCH OF EMU AND 2ND BATCH OF METU AT TURKISH EMBASSY NOW For the applicants that have applied and paid the required fees to both EMU and METU. I like to confirm that the batch of applicants details have been sent to embassy last week and return fax today from Embassy indicated that they have the list now. So you can easily make your application for appointments. Best wishes! @terrywhyte @Dynamite I like to confirm that you guys visas have been approved by south Cyprus migration departments since 3days, however, I could not log into the mail due to security stuff. I will send the link probably in 2days. Congrats and I will be flying via south Cyprus Airport so I will check the landlady to advise on the apartments or not. Send your mil just to my official email address. |
Kiyah3: Kiyah3: worry357: You can help yourself by reading back through this section, all your questions are already answered. Also go to the website of EMU and research on there. Have you studied this thread well, do you have the requirement? Are you financially capable to sponsor yourself till the end of your studies as jobs are quite scarce or can only feed you in case you found one. Have you studied the university website? For me I can apply for you; however, am more interested in applicant that is financially capable, intelligently stable and academically sound to study abroad. |
analogiphone:You can email me......just look for my email address in this thread/in my signature. If your queries will benefit others, you can easily write it here and will reply here also cos I have little access to internet in my current location! |
analogiphone:Ok you can reach me, but how? Out of town on Vacation...! |
APPLICATION FOR FALL IN METU IS NOW OPEN- 2015
|
Santi10:The date you will indicate is "expected date", so is tentative and does not mean you must by any compulsion arrive on this date. |
gadafi101:Both university are private, the University of Nicosia is much larger in terms of size. The most important is they have almost all there programs accredited by the ministry. Very important thing you must note and for every applicant, south Cyprus institutions operate in a system that university may offer programs for years but yet to get ministry accreditation. After some years and the program meets the requirement then it will be accredited, however, some students might have graduated even before it is approved. In summary, Msc oil in both University based on my knowledge are both accredited and located in lively cities, so if you will be choosing based on popularity, age, size and web ranks: Then go for University Nicosia. gadafi101:Yeah you have 85% assurance you may meet up, as of last week the university sent me update that ministry has extended their application till end of August, so you may have to initiate the process now. |
benji93:I provided the info based on how major schools in Turkey and TRNC operate. I dont scout for info online but directly from the source based on personal contacts, personal working and professional experience. We have students that transferred from TRNC to public unis in Turkey and last 2 semesters I secured admission for 4 brothers into METU Ankara. The four brothers case: They all schooled in Turkish college in Abuja, have some basic and intermediate knowledge of Turkish language and have 1 year tourism multi-entry visas earlier and visited Turkey 2-3 times before. After admission secured, the major or public information is that student can pay tuition fees during registration however, this information may be misleading for those that needs visa to enter Turkey while many have gone this route. In order to avoid stories that touches the pile, they made payments stated clearly on the website relating to their programs, they earlier booked appointment and flew at the specified dates. They were able to convert the visas to residence permit. However, I have seen cases of those that were not able to convert while the police departments want them get student visas....district and regions differs! so plan well! Pertaining to your case, you have the guide book with you and you have made contacts with the university officials, then kindly follow. I do wish you success in your academic pursuit!! |
zeb04:I believe charity luba is an agent or organization related to that. They will probably know exact documents or materials you required to get admitted unless they dont know their job. Since they did not tell you to submit your transcript, means what you gave them is sufficient enough for them. Should you have any issue, you can inquire directly from them. I do hope I have answered your question? |
benji93: benji93:hmmmm I am assuming the person you spoke with is either a newbie, lost or clueless regarding your request. The university in this region dont send emails to embassy. The details sent goes via 2-3 channels right from the university to the embassy. In most cases (93%), it goes via the local authority (ministry or embassy in turkey) and they communicate directly with Turkish embassy Abuja or elsewhere. Or a double fax-system is used especially in case of METU. One question is have you made your payment? if you have made your payment, the right person in METU will dispatch your details via the right channels to Abuja if you have earlier collected your originals from Nigeria. |
kcbentley:I can confirm to you that from today, the confirmation letters shall be released and first details will be package to Abuja from 20th July. Advise to apply during August for visa. Eastern Mediterranean University. METU: The first batch shall be sent to embassy on 15th July and applicants can apply from 25th July. For the METU applicants, kindly pre-book your accommodation. |
terrywales:As the name implies.."Flight reservation" ...get a ticket on tentative dates and submit alongside your application. ...and some explanation below..
|
benji93:I have replied you above correctly. If you wish to apply for visa in Turkish embassy in Ghana, you can do that provided you have legal residence permit in Ghana. You will email or call your chosen University to send your details to Turkish embassy in Ghana. If you want Turkish embassy in Nigeria. Kindly inform them also. Since they are not wizard/witchcraft most of them believe by default that Nigerian holding Nigeria passport lives in Nigeria by DEFAULT. But if you dont live in Nigeria, then re-set them by telling them where you want the details to be sent to. NOTE: the details I referred to above, means copy of your acceptance letter, payment details if any, submitted docs during application...........all goes to embassy in order to attend to you. |
benji93:You can choose where to send it to provided you have legal residence. If you are living legally (documented) in Ghana and wants to apply in Ghana...you will inform your university to send the details to Turkish embassy in Ghana and it will be done. We do that for our own students that live elsewhere, so is not an issue! |
kcbentley:Its not late sir. The university resumes in October and we are in July. The university is working on releasing the confirmation letters and consequently dispatch the details to the embassy for the first batch!. So towards August middle, you can put in for your visa application! Success! |
Pauluche:Wish u success! |
Pauluche:Kindly follow this link you will find the fee structure related to you, then introduce the 50% awarded to see how much you will pay for entire program. You will multiply the fee per 8 courses plus thesis (whole program). http://ww1.emu.edu.tr/emu_v1/media/assets/files/tuition-fees/tuition-fees-postgraduate-2015-16.pdf Pauluche:After you have done the eco-maths from that link, then you will know if it covers 2years or not..... Pauluche:I dont know about ticket cost, you can check with airlines websites based on time of traveling or visit the sales unit of the airlines at the airport. Accommodation ranges 1300-3500usd per year depending on choice, facilities and distance. Do the math, it will give you idea on what you need! Pauluche:First, ensure you have around 6000usd to pay for your program and then pay the minimum requested into university bank ALONE not agent bank. Ensure you have accommodation for about 2 years and ensure you have minimum of 200usd monthly at least to sustain you. Ensure you have flight fee. Steps: After you have paid the tuition, wait for confirmation from the university, proceed to Turkish embassy website for visa requirements and apply for visa, fly to Cyprus and start school, study well, pass with good grades and gather exceptional skills, graduate and go back home to rule your world.. |
kcbentley:When your cash is received by the university, your agent will be notified by the school. |
kuzee: ..It stated on the offer letter that TUITION FEES...but not TUITION AND ACCOMMODATION FEES...meaning that what is stated on the admission letter is for 1 year university tuition excluding food, living expenses, lifestyle, shopping and accommodation. After you arrive, you will have opportunity to view various accommodations (cost ranges: 1500-3500 usd/per year), then choose the one that suits your lifestyle and pocket, then pay before you move in. If you like, you may check the university website before arrival and also choose and prepay. So is flexible and there are plenty new dormitories within the university you can choose from. |
benji93:For Turkish embassy, the relationship does not really count unlike Cyprus embassy/consulate that you either must be the sponsor or your parents. Meanwhile your dad's friends should state the extent he will sponsor you, in what capacity and possibly why he will be the one taking the role of your parents (tips; he may talk about your academic goals, educational prowess and need to augment your parents financial status). If he has sponsored you before on any project, he may include or reference that. Not boring and long epistle, point-based may be good and not very very big English but simple and direct (dont let him show his Queens English too much...so the man wont be scared). He should state your chosen program and duration, what kind of sponsorship he will provide (full or partial) and possibly his source of income (Chairman OANDO or Primary school teacher or whatever he is)...just in 1-2 lines will be nice. If he owns company on the letterhead will be perfect or he may borrow letterhead from where he works to support his claims. These are the points in my template for you. ![]() Wish u Success!! |
gadafi101:My email is located within this forum/in my signature. I dont have social media IDs. The admission is in stages: 1. You will need copies of your university transcript, bachelor cert, international passport page for admission. 2. You will need attested copies of above-mentioned documents including attested bank letter of sponsor/you, attested medical documents, non-refundable application/visa fees around 150euro to the university bank account. 3. Pay tuition fees and apply for visa, the university handles that. Have you checked the tuition fees of the program? are you financially ready for that? on arrival you must also have cash of 2000 euros to be allowed into South Cyprus. If ready send me the documents, read more on the University website as well... |
elijaxin: elijaxin:Send me your olevel result, international passport page and photo passport. The course Physics is required for your admission and provided you have 5 credits excluding religion/languages, you will be admitted. However, if you are in Infotech at EMU, you wont be taking physics courses so it may be overlook.. You can find my email in this forum/in my signature. |
penroll55:Boss is okay...summer don reach..go beach!...You should know, new students most are just nervous, some their sponsors are scared as well, some have read a lot of fairy tales and want to confirm from lord of the rings himself and some really want to know everything including why God created Eve and not Kardashian.......and many are like your sisters and brothers...! Dont be upset...biko! Enjoy! |
wizrackz:Dont get angry sir and don't dwell on what went wrong. Perhaps, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer. Godwins and you shall win also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
gadafi101:Copies of your certificates, transcript and international passport. Kindly note UNI-Nicosia charges application fees you will be requested to pay into their bank account after you are admitted. Also, after your certification of admission is sent you will need attest all these documents at the ministries for visa purpose. Itstyme:He can apply until 31 July! which is an approximate deadline and may be slightly extended as they do yearly but to be on safe side...as early as you wish!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
goodlife5659:I dont know the cost .....You have to ask landlords or house agents cos this depends on which part of Ayia Napa...this place extends from North to South Cyprus...google may give you estimate. |
elijaxin:Hey, Yeah you can transfer to EMU. The university have signed agreement with APTECH and credit transfer APTECH graduate with ADS to 2.5 years and they spend only 3 semesters to get their degree at EMU. However, EMU has not signed agreement with NIIT, so the system of NIIT evaluation will be new to them and can only exempt some courses that are related to EMU provided you have good grades in these courses. You cannot determine the level you will transferred to unless the evaluation units of EMU check the courses and match it with EMU courses. If you are ready let me know. |
gadafi101:Yeah Nicosia University (south Cyprus) is okay but expensive..no other university in the north Cyprus that offers that at graduate level. If you are ready, then send me the complete documents..End of August may seems to far since South Cyprus process has dateline! |
