Fabjazz:I dont know Farhan. But since he said is under evaluation, then wait for him to update you if the status has changed. It is still so early to get panic. My course is Information Technology - School of Computing, please how much is the course and as for the sponsor, I think God is in control.... Also, I'll like to know what you think I should do about accommodation, I mean going off-campus or staying in campus...The fees for Info Tech is around 8000 usd per year. You may be admitted with 25 or 50% scholarship based on your high school result. So if you have 50% discount, then you pay half of that amount yearly. About accommodation, hostel is cheaper if you will stay at least in room for 2 or 3 people. However, off campus may be cheaper if you find another person to share a flat with. Although, off-campus sometimes need sense and personal responsibility cos you will find all sort of attitudes and irregular behaviors that are forbidden within the campus out there. Also, when does the school accept installment pay? Is it from the first year or after the first year? You also said jobs are scarce but, I'm sure a musician shouldn't lack if he's zealous or there's no room for musical performances or concerts in Cyprus? You can only pay installment after first year. You will be asked to pay full year fees after your admission is issued. I dont really know about Musician jobs or those artiste stuff...but Cyprus is not America or UK that all sort of musician sell...if you are not singing in Turkish or Persian....I think it may be hard but they may like Reggae. Until you find out anyway!!!! About Visa, you will need to visit Turkish embassy website for detailed information and steps. Best wishes! |
Fabjazz:Yes admission starts. I can get the admission for you free of cost. You can visit EMU website for details on courses or fees. You can read this thread on life and technical information about Cyprus and you can ask on this thread info you need. Before we begin, you must have sufficient funds or financially capable sponsor to finance your studies, jobs are scarce to get here. To succeed here you have to be honest, do away with fraud-activating agents, be serious and creative legally. If there are any other things you wish to know let me know. |
penroll55:Sir.... NO no you must have called wrong number. All I mentioned here issued visas. They have been issuing these visas since over 15 yrs here in North Cyprus. Simply walk to their offices and submit your application/interview if you merit the visa..you will be issued within 15 days. So is not new, they have been existing over very long time. They issue short term visas for all applicants, you can only be directed to Turkey by German embassy ONLY if you wish to apply for student or Long term visas (work permit)..but every other short stay up to 6 months will be issued in North Cyprus boss. I have gotten Brazil, Serbia, Japan, China, Australia, Canada visas (except now that Canada recently introduced biometric) without leaving North Cyprus.....others I get them in South Cyprus in case I need them. Please if you go to their embassy and they say you should go to Turkey kindly say it hear...cos my colleagues just came back from a conference in Denmark and they applied just their in North Cyprus. You can also meet me when am less busy.....have fun sir! |
Eureka123:Sorry dear. I did not see that question before. UK, US, Italian, German, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Slovenia, Turkey, Iceland, Luxembourg most Schengen are offered by German embassy they issued those visas on their behalf. |
kcbentley:Send email for appointment to Italian embassy, they will email you complete documents you need. to submit.. in your email include your name, nationality, purpose of trip and when is your trip. They will reply you with the application form and documents required. |
kcbentley:She can send it via email scanned or post to you,..It does not matter. The embassy will confirm whatever she sent. Her passport/ID/driving card, letter of invitation stating purpose of trip, where you will stay during this period and if she will sponsor or not she will state all those into it. You will need student cert, travel insurance, bank stuff, proof of accommodation in Cyprus, police letter, filled visa application form, passport and photocopies of all pages with stamps in your passport, flight reservation, transcript and your visa fee. These are main docs they do ask for at the Italian embassy in Lefkosia...you may add any other docs and the embassy can also ask you more docs...its advisable you visit the embassy for docs you need. The embassy is now in old British embassy, currently German embassy. |
kcbentley:Hey is easy man. I will go to Italy (Torino) from 27th this month to Dec 6th...in case u want me to help you give the person ALOMO..... The embassy of Italy is in Lefkosia, it will take 15 working days to get your visa. Summer is very far...so you can apply like 1 month to your trip...the embassy at Lefkosia can only grant you short stay..so if like 2 months is okay. The person will send you IV (her documents: passport and card), the sponsor (you or her) must present bank stuff that will cover your period of stay...while other docs are simple and normal docs. Enjoy boss.....! |

gadafi101:Hey, Which of the Nicosia? the one in the south Cyprus or North Cyprus? If is the North Cyprus, Turkcell offers lots to students for me I use both Turkcell and Vodafone and I use Turkcell for internet connection. You may find some fixed-line service provider that may be cheaper than Turkcell though. For postpaid, I subscribed monthly to 42TL (about 3K naira) which gives me 100 mins call for international calls. For internet, I have the dongle for 75TL (about 5K) monthly...so in total 8K monthly for my Turkcel line. For my Vodafone, I subscribe to roaming services-internet cos i do travel a lot which comes at 200TL when the line is to be opened anytime am traveling. See...there are some other cheaper options for students..so just to give u idea based on mine usage. For south Cyprus: There is MTN, Primetel and Vodafone. When my sister was studying there, she talks good of the MTN and she mostly alternate her internet connectivity with Primetel. However, I have good number of friends there using Primetel for both calling and internet ( they say is quite fast and cool) and I have witnessed that on occasions when I visit and Primetel has many bundle services for students both as telephony and internet connectivity. Primetel has a monthly package of around 30euro (about 7k naira) that comes with free monthly calls within and 3 gigs internet..... Enjoy as you choose the best! |

zezebabyxoxo:Hi, Your ONLY option is to pay your current semester FEE including any debt/s (if available), then follow these steps: 1. Register your courses online. 2. As soon as you are done with step 1, get your student cert via the registrar office to ur email or your friend/enemy can get it for you and scan neatly. 3. Print the student cert in colored, and fly with that, In case those immigration in Nigeria stopped you, show them the student cert that you are registered, if they wont allow you, then demand for their Boss...Turkish Airline would be easier in this your plan as the Turkish bosses have been informed by this procedure. 4. After your online courses have been registered in your portal, the Immigration at TRNC will be notified via the integrated system..so u wont have issues. Enjoy your trip back ! |

georgemills:Read more about Cyprus here: https://www.nairaland.com/351402/north-cyprus You can easily get admitted into Cyprus universities without the need of fraudulent agents if you follow that thread. You must have your finance ready before you can study in Cyprus as jobs are quite scarce and some jobs you can get will only pay for your daily food! |
fondy:Congrats man! Wish you safest tripppppp! |
ikemeze:Pls send me email if is so urgent...in my signature you will see my email address... I mostly reply if your inquiry is new and not answered on this thread before. Thank you sir/madam! |

awe2015:Cyprus thread wish you well...enjoy! |
hydeka:I have been to Mauritius four times however I did not fly from Nigeria. However, for Nigerian passport holder no need fill any form before you travel, a visa of two weeks will be delivered to you upon arrival regarding you meet certain criteria like; - Valid return tickets and passport - Accommodation voucher - Sufficient fund during your stay etc… The easiest flight is via emirate from Lagos but may be expensive, one of the cheapest is South African Airline. Emirate has a stop in Dubai while SA airline stops at South Africa. Kenyan Airline also fly but not daily. The cheapest of all is Ethiopian Airline...so try them! Also, ensure you have your poster presentation handy so when asked kindly show and possibly have the webpage of the conference organizer ready as well. |
kcbentley:Waow thats nice....I have these fungi am growin at the lab....it needs Aloma bitters for degradation of some persistent pollutants. We would drink it together me, you and the Fungi....I will be in Cyprus in few days! |
sollyaf0:Fees are qouted in Usd or Turkish lira...kindly visit the dormitory page of emu is written in English language. |
daway:As far as north Cyprus is concerned, return ticket or how you travel to NC is not a factor or issue with the universities here. Even you travel via herbalist canoe to NC does not concern the university nor the immigration at NC/Turkey if you are coming as a student. However, this return ticket issues has to do with the immigration people, some mischievous agents and some airlines attendees may like to enforce this but reason behind such I don't know. Since some students might not even return back home until they become professor....so if you can scale through the immigration people in your country and some airlines I too know staffs....then you are welcome to NC. however, South Cyprus immigration rules wants students to obtain 1 year return ticket for the first time...but NC does not care! Some of my friends actually came by boat from Lebanon by one way...nobody stops them. |
wildrose21:Min of education is enough. You will cut the laminated part for attestation or they will find means to scrape off and do their jOb. |
Princessgatt:Congrats... I wish you safe trip down here and the best when you start ur education. You will sure Enjoy the Island. |
Itstyme:Yes some schools participated in the extension as well. Yes CY Migration department process has been like this but compared to some countries like Bulgaria, Germany etc..Cyprus migration department is kinda fast cos I have experience in these ones as well. Anyway, relax month end is here....no need rush cos nothing special. |
kcbentley:Waow I hope you brought my ALOMA BITTERS? ohhhh I missed ooo I just left Cyprus days back ...enjoying the warmth of SALT LAKE CITY now...but am coming back for my ALOMA oooooo...Welcome and enjoy your stay. wish you the best! |
