It's just a fictional novel. Nothing unusual from the normal contemporary literature. Since it's going to be my first book away from home, it's going to be for awareness as a writer, fun and of course making money from the sales. My professors are all busy with one project or the other to help me edit, I really hope I can be able to involve the school somehow, to give it the proper publicity and endorsement it requires.
Send me the synopsis atleast in 1 A4 well written....the structure and I can be of micro-help.....also I can get it published for you if is quite good and original.

Dear Osamede,
No school fees thing was actually mentioned and I have been speaking with andrea, she said I have to apply for visa first before school fees payment
The new visa procedure in most universities in SC now is to pay the app and visa fees.....The university apply via the migration departments and once the student has been notified by the College/university that his/her visa has been issued the student should forward a payment to the College/university. Once the payment is received by the institution, they send to the student a copy of his/her paper visa.

NOTE: It is different procedure before 4 semesters ago when student will need to apply for visa him/herself from Nigeria and tuition must be completely paid before then. So kindly follow the current procedure now.

Goodday everyone,
Been following this thread for quite sometime, based on what you said @wip7 about paying part of the tuition fees before visa process in SC, I'm a little bit confused, cos I applied to the university of nicosia and the process is quite different, I was admitted and told to pay the app fee and visa fee, then apply for visa, then an entry visa will be given, before I can then pay the school fees, but what u said is quite different, so please I need you to shed more light on it? Thank you
I have never said that about SC (you have to check dates and time of my replies and the specific questions asked) ......cos I know about NC and SC very well and too well. Read the thread well and understand which part of the country you are heading to and adhere to the procedure of the concerned country.

You may have to quote the line or thread which I said something different...that way..I may help or guide more....

Finally, your intended university had already made it clear the procedure you should follow...why cant you follow it as highlited in your statement above?

Lol, na wa oo. I know someone who was thinking of transferring, but I guess it's best to stay put.
The person can transfer if he or she has the finance....accommodation and expenses higher though than NC...!

Eureka123:
How about an individual who wishes to transfer from the TRNC to the South, Sir??
Yes anybody can transfer, however due to the bruhauhauuuuu between SC and NC.....

NC tends to admit all SC students cos I have done transfer for more than 100 students from SC into EMU in the past. But SC regards NC diploma as illegal to the extent that one university in SC was supposed to pay me some cash years back and refused to transfer to my NC bank account saying they cant transfer money to illegal part...I had to travel down to collect the money in cash and in person.............but these days cos SC is broke they tend to be more polite and getting more calm.....and gentle...and they need more students now to stay afloat....Soon I will promote the quality university there now and they changed their visa procedure!

@ wip 2,i want to verify whether money lodgement is a problem for an intending South Cyprus student, also do you have an idea on the rough estimate of amount that should be in the account of an intending masters student via South Cyprus. Please,I need your reply.Thanks.
South Cyprus system differs: So follow it diligently as well, The sponsor letter and bank statement can only be from parents of students or family with same surname. The relationship must be stated on the bank letter and duration of the said account. From 7000 euros after payment of your fees should be available as balance. I don't know about money lodgement, the ministry of migration that will evaluate the visa application mostly interested in the flow rates of cash and balance at time of submission!

You can only apply for METU NCC through me but not METU Ankara (METU Ankara has quota system while METU NCC does not)

Thank you very much the embassy am going to in ankara, turkey is latvian embassy, I was told that the processing for the residence permit might take 1 or 2months.
I doubt if Turkish embassy will issue you visa for 2 months...Just apply for ENTRY visa LONG stay.....Hmmmm Latvia story long ooo anyway, you may ask them to submit your application and return with your passport and if visa approved you come for the sticker.

@mr wip7 av read many of ur post here and I think you are in the best position to explain things to me I jhus got admission to batlic state and I was told to go ankara, turkey or cairo egypt to get there residence permit and visa. I was told by a friend to go with turkey because to get egypt visa is so hard due to what nigerians over there do that I might be denied unless I apply for another sch in egypt and pay there one year semester fee to get it fast or it may take long and my resumption date is set for sept 1 so I think turkey would be best for mr wip I need u to tell me what type of visa should I apply for here in nigeria in turkish embassy nd what should I tell the consulate and what document am I mine going to need pls help me. You can email me btee234@gmail.com
You can ask the University to write official letter for you stating you will be applying for Visa at so so embassy in Ankara and take it along. The visa processing duration varies from one country to the other. It will be lot easier if you ask the embassy in question, how long they will process your visa and know exact documents you need to bring along including all the attestation.

Then, you can know the length of visa you can apply for. For transit visa from Nigeria, Turkish embassy can only grant you 3-7 days max. Anything longer than that will be ENTRY visa and you can ask for upto 1 month for this. Also, the consular at Turkish embassy can guide you also but learn how long your visa processing will take.

@wip7. so sorry for bothering you, pls in wat range would my tuition fee be if offered a 50% deduction in fees at emu?
and can u give me d total cost of accomodation in school hostel and feeding in a year. thanks
Read more on EMU website...in brief fees per year for Engineering programs awarded 50% is around 4400 dollars, accommodation per year 1500-3500 dollars per year and living 100-300 dollar per month depending on individual lifestyle!

Mr whip, would love know if am good to study @ mute, am 29 years of age and have all my b's in my weac.
No sir, METU has age restriction as well for African undergraduate applicants although they occasionally admit applicants 25-27 with cogent reasons but 29 is way too high!

Mr Wip7, did you hear this news yet?

http://world.bgnnews.com/visas-no-longer-required-when-traveling-between-north-and-south-cyprus-haberi/6007
@Eureka123,

Not exactly...I only had a lunch with that head of tourism and vice chair chem on Friday which is childhood friend with the new President and they seem very optimistic about some new development plan for magusa (New airport and direct flight to abroad and shipping) and unification.

I will confirm this myself next week again as I will be going to SC.......I actually do visit South Cyprus and sometimes do help one lady selling Nigerian food to get those food material occasionally....the long queue to fill that form at the borders is what I hate most. I bought my car from South Cyprus and due to that visa stuff I spent a lot cos as a rule I have to return every 3 months to SC for tax etc....I had to drop the car when the stress is so much..........its really a good news !

@wip7. I'm 22.
I have d legal docs to support it.

science subjects: maths: A1, English: c6, Chemistry: B3, Physics: C4
METU scholarship: I stated 5 subjects but these are 4 subjects. Anyway I have tried to evaluate from what you sent now. From 5 subjects you need to earn maximum of 15 points to qualify for 50% scholarship at METU...now you already have 14 points means METU will not award you 50% scholarship and you must even have scored in the range of B3 for the last subject for you to earn 25% scholarship at METU.

For EMU: You will benefit from 50% scholarship.

@wip7. I want to apply to either metu or emu. but I would like to know some few things. I av a degree in nigeria but I still want to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering in either metu or emu. I av an A1 in maths, B3 in chemistry, C4 in physics in waec, what percentage would d scholarship b if I were to b given?
next questn is. my waec result is issued in 2007 dat was d year I completed high school, hope that won't b a problem?
then... if given d scholarship, does it cover accommodation in school hostel and any other thing, if yes, pls list them.
my last questn is: my date of birth on my passport and that in my waec result is different, month and day is intact, but d year is not, I'm makin use of the date of birth on my passport, also, a letter is missing in my surname, d last letter, thats all. if there would b an issue, please let me know.
thanks and waiting for ur reply cos I would luv to apply for fall 2015
1. You must be less than 25 years old to be admitted.

2. You need to tell me grades of five subjects including Eng, Maths, 3 science subjects to enable me tell you scholarship level you can be awarded at METU.

3. Scholarship only covers tuition fees.

4. You need to support your application with legal paper to merge all the irregularities in your names and dates.
