milesnorthman12:Good day, I received your files and I had just few hrs within TRNC today before the offices closed, unfortunately you have to contact those persons I have sent you their details either via phone call or email cos I have been quite busy going in and out of TRNC to SC and by next week or so I shall be heading away for vacation and will be returning towards 20-25th of March! |
awe2015:I replied you sir. |
awe2015:In my signature you will find it! |
rosemate:No... somebody cannot start the registration for you cos the person must submit your original credentials and must visit your course advisor before you are fully registered. Since you will present same credentials at embassy so I dont know how it will be possible. "A leave of absence (LOA) is a period of time that one must be away from one's primary duty or classes, while maintaining the status of a student". The last day of add/drop of courses is 23rd of March, means after this date, you cant register for a course anymore but you will be registered as a student but you wont attend classes. The implication is that, your tuition fees will be kept for you but you will spend money on accommodation and living expenses without doing anything till Sept 2015. |
rosemate:Since your appointment date is 16th March, then if your visa is successful fly down before 23rd March. You can start preparing all you need now so you just fly after visa which should come possibly before 23rd. |
privatetisa:Good day sir, Its nice to hear about what you have been doing! You can get your work published in renowned and quality journals irrespective of your location. Kindly google Elsevier, Cogent open, Taylor & Francis, Springer..these are some of the major publishers around for quality articles indexed in recognized database. These journals are not located in Cyprus and Turkish govt have guidelines to authors cash award although residency is not a factor. Such award is done to support research in Turkish related units including Turkey and Turkish republic of northern Cyprus. Also, I'm a teacher of over 17 years in Nigeria and a published author of over 10 years. I have about 5 published children story novels and over 25 nursery and primary school textbooks published. But yet I'm still as poor as the church rat. No thanks to the Nigerian publishers who have been paying me peanuts - even though they sell my books in the thousands. Dr Wip or anyone here that can be helpful, how can I get publishers of children story and science/mathematics textbooks over there? I have quite a number of children story, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics manuscripts that I'm yet to publish. There are quite number of publishers you can locate online and must of them may require you to send them the first 2-3 chapters, synopsis and covering letter. Kindly do more google search on this aspect. You must also know what you want, do you want vanity press or royalty-based press? This will guide you to select. Also not all publisher attend to unsolicited manuscripts. The link below may assist you in your pursuit: https://loutreleaven./2010/07/21/childrens-publishers-accepting-unsolicited-manuscripts/ I will really appreciate anyone that can be helpful either with the journal publication or with the novel/textbook publication. I don't mind if it's getting writing contract. Thanks!Good luck! |
awe2015:Can you send me your results ? and state your age in the email. So that I can evaluate the results first! |
milesnorthman12:Hmmmm okay contact her again to confirm which of the list your name was sent.... attached here are the main guys you must contact if you want solution. Call and email them regarding WMG ONLY...they cant answer or deal with stuffs outside WMG.
|
milesnorthman12:I have gone through the list sent about 300 names. I cant find your name there. And what is the name of the admn officer that told you your name was sent? unless your name was just sent 2days ago... |
milesnorthman12:May I know your full name? let me check the 3 lists sent. One thing is that your money cant go down the drain may be tough but you will get your fund back and how much did you pay? |
Tennakin:You can actually marry in any place/country provided you meet the requirements. Since you reside in TRNC it may sound easier or cheaper to do that there. The visa process is long and cumbersome and involves a lot of proofing.....................so may take time! |
Eureka123:hmmmm yeah those described are scientific works done under verifiable procedure and social sciences research conducted in the field. That does not stop you from working and developing your writing skills. If you have written nice and great stuffs...I know of great publishers that will make your dream come through...although they are very strict and only publish novel and marketable stuffs....In fact, I do have editorial role with them of recent and one of my key objectives is to see African writers up the scale. Their own format or strategy is called open-access where by all readers have access to your work and you will be paid royalty. Try google :degruyter Find more about them and see how it fits into your literary works...as they deal with novel, textbooks etc |
Mnewton:Try google search for the program in the country of your choice! |
awe2015:May I know your CGPA and what program you wish to study? Yes application will be waived if you applied via WIP but WIP will only apply for students that are ready/serious and financially capable to study. |
Eureka123:Hey what do you write on? research works/verifiable research ? lots of resources you can actually make use of....can I see some of your works? |
milesnorthman12:For me, I published for the money and the value cos I want to build house and buy molasses from the money. The more research you do the more you are known in your region and the more you may solve issues. No special sites about publishing, their are just some metrics that defines the quality and acceptable journals to publish your work and those are the metrics/standard EMU follows: 1. The journals must either be indexed in SC (science citation), SC-E (science citation expanded), SSC (social science) or Arts and humanities citations...This is very very important one 2. Impact factors (IF), Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP) and SCImago Journal Rank (SJR): This tells the level and sometimes the quality of your article if published in journals with those metrics. For example I have 7 articles under Journal of Taiwan inst of chem eng :IF is 2.63 and they offered me certificate and also recently enroll in one of Elseviers editorial team. Attached. 3. The journal must undergo peer-review system So lots of publishing house ranging from Elsevier, Springer, Cogent, Hindawi, Taylor and Francis fall into these categories...Just get to these publisher sites and follow up on the authors guide.... Good luck!

milesnorthman12:Anyway high or almost all the applicants only ask about jobs but none ask about academics...so one question the actual aim of the journey. 1. How can I develop my academic skills in that EMU/NC?Actually the environment is calm and conducive for learning, but you might have to work and build yourself in the calm environment. There are necessary facilities sufficient enough for social science and arts-based students to carry on. You must not follow the trend cos Cyprus is one of the laziest island/country...so you wont allow yourself be lazy like the people. 2. DO they have these equipment to carry out my future research, how can i be trained to carry out independent research especially in Supply Chain/Logistics Mgt.?I do not think you need equipments/devices to carry out research under social sciences like "supply chain and logistics (SCL)" ...what you need as far as I know is practical application of SCL, softwares and analytical tools. For software and analytical tools ..YES, these are made free under the university network and also the university subscribes to virtually all databases for academic index...so you can easily locate articles and e-books freely on the network. 3. Do they have professor, expert or scholars in the field of innovative vocational studies, software development, risk management, transport and logistics ?Virtually almost all the teachers are professors and scholars but I dont know if they are expert in the said fields. The university currently is not at Harvard or Cambridge level, so they have normal scholars that might have studied in one of the best uni or average universities. 4. What about incentives if you publish papers, incentives for training especially am interested in improving my skills in writeup and research?Yes yes yes..they offer incentives and Turkish Govt also offer incentives for all work done in TRNC...I wish I can upload some of my cheques but I cant...this part is the part many of the people dont take serious. In fact, on one published article they offer between 1000-4000USD, imagine you publishing 10 articles per yr...... I have collected these incentives and still collecting. I wish Nigerian and other Africans can take this route. They offer 1800usd as support for conference in Asia and Americas, 1200usd for Europe. 5. Are there business opportunities in that placeNo no..due to the embargo, TRNC is not business spot for foregners but since is just a stone away from Turkey, then you can carry your business in Turkey. Is do-able cos we have done it and many also have done that before.....also due to those internet scammers, more restrictions are in places for Nigerian/African. |
awe2015:You applied for Fall 2015 (Sept) ? if yes, FALL evaluation is not opened for EMU....so keep checking in months. |
basilokathe:Appointment must be sent once per month as stated by Turkish embassy and if more than once..they stated that such applicant may be punished. So depends on when the second appointment was sent..if it was sent exactly after one month then wait but if not then you might have to walk/travel to embassy and meet them physically for dialogue. EMU has her own rules likewise the embassy and none can interfere or bend the rules and regulation. |
METU NCC- snow on campus The beautiful winter season continues at METU NCC. Snow has arrived METU TRNC Campus yesterday..... ..............and application for Sept 2015 opens....Now promotion in Kenya, heading to south Africa, Ghana soon!!!
|
basilokathe:Hi Basil, I just checked list we sent, your application number (U1410654) and details have been sent to embassy since 22 Jan, 2015. Kindly book appointment with the Turkish embassy for visa purpose. The procedure to book appointment is easy and can be found on Turkish embassy website. In case you applied via an agent, you may ask the agent to point the link to you or simply visit the Turkish embassy website for visa appointment. If you have applied for the apportionment and yet to receive date for your submission and interview, kindly wait if is recent application or confirm from the embassy. Let me know how i can be of help...Good luck! |
danejo06:Since you have sent to EMU ...you will be picked. |
nonsooo:I doubt CIU will still be able to send your details to Turkish embassy in Nigeria due to embassy dateline. For EMU, we have stopped sending names to Abuja but we are still sending names for other Africans like Zimbabwe, Kenya etc. The best advice is that, kindly call CIU and email to let them know if you pay now will they still send your details to the embassy. |
awe2015:EMU does not charge application fees or where do you see application fees or what do you mean by application fees? |
adegbitetunji:The instruction and penalty was stated clearly on their website, you should have followed that religiously. Suggestion: Wait till after 12th of Feb and see if they will pity you, if not...you might have to visit the embassy and find means to reach then physically. Now the embassy is very busy due to thousands of family and sponsors coming for their wards graduation and also, due to incoming number of students. Most schools here must have conducted their graduation maximum on 25th Feb, therefore the stress and traffic at the embassy is reduced. Good luck! |
lexycool01:The purpose of the international passport is for some university to extract your bio data and such extracted details are sent to embassy alongside your admission details. In our end, some students don't have Intl. passport at time of application and that's acceptable but birth certificate/age details are requested in lieu of that. In the space to write such student bio-data when sending the details to embassy, the university will only state the documents submitted by the student and indicate no International passport uploaded during admission process. Most of our students do this and if all details are genuine and valid they don't have any issues. So, kindly email or call your preferred University and ask them if is optional or mandatory during application. |

Lawprince:On Arrival you will find students and adverts within the GAU campus regarding accommodation. You should budget around 250euro monthly in GAU region! |
EMU 2nd Batch goes to Embassy Today The second batch of EMU list has gone to embassy today and will be available from Wednesday next week. This list consist of all payments received from Monday till this morning. |
milesnorthman12:Your arrangement is okay. EMU dorms should be opened then but private dorms within EMU have different opening dates. But you will be accommodated into EMU dorm during these dates. NOTE: registration for new students ends around March, only old students registrations end on 29th officially and those old students can still register even after 29th with daily penalty. Since you are new student...these dates or penalty will not affect you unless you arrive in April. |
emmanuel90:Thanks a lot, I just learnt how you feel now. Anyway, I have been to both SC and TRNC and in most times I visit SC and I know about the university structures. In fact I bought my car from SC cos is cheaper compared with cars from NC. CIU is just one of the universities in TRNC and it may have its own problem but I must tell you when it comes to some analytical equipments CIU have these. How many universities in Nigeria or SC have SEM, XRD, XRF, GS machines? google CIU environmental department you will find list of these equipments and they run into millions of dollars to acquire such model they have. This means they support research and make them competitive. Wish you luck! |
emmanuel90:How do you know that the diploma is not recognized? You have not studied abroad before neither have you traveled to NC nor SC for academic purpose. Political recognition is different from academic recognition. Taiwan is not recognized politically (only 21 UN member states recognized Taiwan) like NC but they have some of the best academic journals in the world and great products used worldwide like HTC mobile.... Since graduates from TRNC are found working in Asia, Middle East, UK, Canada, US and Europe..then what global recognition do you need again?
