from turkey to North cyprus. Pls is it okay, if its okay, how do I send the flight details to the school for pick up.

you can buy tickets from the airline desks or vendors at Airport but mostly if you arrive a day and expect to leave that day most airlines would have completed the sales of their economy tickets of same day and you have chance to get Bizness class. Rather check their website and buy before you arrive and you might be lucky to find seat and you can email the travel details to emu intl center email. From next month EMU will have standby officials at the Airport till October so be rest assured you will find EMU officials desk at the Airport.

faithyxman: @Mr Wip, My oga we are twin brothers that applied to EMU and we have made our payments since August 16th. we want to ask you if our payments has been processed and our names should be at the embassy by now?

Our References are : 400-503.2.1-4305 and 400-503.2.1-4036. we have sent the copy of the offer letter and the payment slip to registrar@emu.edu.tr as directed on the admission letter. We await your response soon.

EMU official orientation starts 16th Sept, all students must fill the arrival pick up form so as to enable them be transported freely to the campus. Kindly visit EMU website, click on 16th student welcoming you will find the forms. Fill and send back to EMU intl center and activity centers. Follow instruction written in the form.

I think you cant meet up...you may risk it but Turkish embassy will stop receiving names from us so soon. We have sent 3 batches of name to Turkish embassy Abuja now and we have about 630 Africans paid and sent their names to embassy this semester..i think we are cool now till next semester!!Our dorms are filled up, we are still negotiating for the female dorm with discount!!

Tuition fees is 15,600USD per year and we do not offer scholarship for medical program. Admission closed for this year! NExt year admission start by November!!

INTERALIA: @Wip7 and all, my friend who doesn't have Turkish Transit visa but has only TRNC visa that expires 30th of Sept booked EgyptAir return ticket to Istanbul Ataturk for 16th September with OnurAir connecting flight to Ercan on 17th. Her agent said she must buy return ticket because the visa is less than 6 months to expire because of immigration hassles. Just wondering if this her itinerary is ok and won't give her issues?

she does not need return ticket if her TRNC residence permit ends by 30th Sept and she wont have immigration tussles unless she does not have valid permit.

If i should buy Turkish Airline ticket for example and their last stop is Istanbul, would i be the one to incur the connecting flight fees frm Istanbul to Ercan? I went to an Air travel agent and they told me AIR MAROc is great deal but their last stop is Istanbul...so i was wondering how i could connect to Ercan since their last drop is Istanbul--i dnt if there could be other flight that are READILY available to Ercan frm that istanbul airpot.

This is very simple issue. There are 3 aiports in Istanbul and 2 is international (Ataturk and Sabiha). Two major airlines fly from Ataturk airport ( Turkish airline and Atlasjet). Atlasjet is quite cheap if you book as a student, ranging 70-120usd one way Istanbul -ercan (north Cyprus). The slight disadvantage of atlasjet is lower baggage capacity of 20kg checked in and 8kg hand luggage( most new students have more than 40kg sometimes) but you can pay for extra luggage and open your mouth to tell them you are new student heading to NC( your admission letter must always be with you ).

Turkish airline flies from Ataturk as well with bigger capacity of 30kg checked in and 8 hand luggage but can be expensive in the range of 130-170usd one way Ist-ercan (NC).

From Sabiha Airport in Istanbul , Turkish airline, Pegasus and Anadolu jet fly to NC. The cheapest of all is Atlasjet. So book a flight to Istanbul and ask your agent to check any of these airline to book on their website to NC. All the airlines have websites you can book yourself or via your agent is damn easy!!! Your agent should just know your arrival time in Istanbul and allow sometime to connect to other airlines. Your agent must becareful which airport he/she booked for you (Ataturk or Sabiha). Turkish airline has about 5 trips to Ercan (NC) daily while Atlasjet has just 2 daily ( early in the morn and 9pm daily). You may as well travel down to Istanbul and book the connecting flight yourself at the respective airline counter although your time of arrival matters alot. Wish you luck !!!

your payment has not even reached EMU....if your payment arrive to EMU then, you receive confirmation letter. We prepare names in batches and send to embassy in Turkey and they send to Abuja. Maybe in 2weeks time your name will arrive embassy!!! learn to be patient...............

Even if the school actually Suspended you for unseriousness or theft doesnt mean you should come out here and display ur true colours by trying to damage the school's image (which u cnt). The fact that you and ur companys did not succedd or like the school does not mean others would follow suite na. If you were good enough why didnt you then transfer ur credits to EMU or GAU? The school you are calling not Recognised is ACCREDITED BY THE TURKISH HIGHER EDUCATION COUNCIL, its A MEMBER OF UNESCO LIST OF WORLD UNIVERSITIES, THE NATIONAL RECOGNITION INFORMATION CENTRE FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM (UK NARIC), The european Consortium for Political research (ECPR), The european Council for Business Education (ECBE). And these are not all its memebres or accreditors. And u now open that ur mouth to say such school is not recognised just because you Failed woefully in there. U would have failed just as u did at CIU even if you went to EMU or another country like Germany. Its not about the school, its about ur mentality-right state of mind. You went to North Cyprus thinking u were in Canada and thought u could survive anyhow but was dissapointment hence you hav no good words for such country when u should have blamed urself. Pls if u can not guide prospective students and tell them the truth, i urge u not to say anything again pls.

EMU has only one Acceptance/admission letter issue to students that are admitted. After student make payment, a confirmation letter will be sent to student and details of the student will be forwarded to the relevant Embassies for visa purpose. If you dont pay, then you wont get visa!

By the way, abusing of Visa is out of the way cos i cant afford to damage my image in a foreign land when the country in question (Turkey) is not even an Industrialised country. You need google more than anything now!! #NOTE: Turkey is highly industrialized far far far more than Newzealand and only few country in Europe can equate Turkey industrial wise# when you arrive NC go to Turkish embassy and make your enquiries.

NC do nt have problem with one way or half way tickets..is your immigration pple in Nigeria that will disturb you especially first timer. You guys may try ETIHAD AIR is quite cheap and comfortable..i used it to Japan and not bad. You may check that to Istanbul and then get Atlast jet to NC.. baggage size around 30kg though! But there would be almost 300-500usd cheaper than Turkish Air.

usdane: pls what do you mean if it's ENTRY VISA? (what i mean is just like 2 weeks visits from time to time) and secondly, what are the procedures to secure such visit visa from NC? Would have to undergo the normal process of providing Bank statements to proof that i have sufficient funds available for my visit/stay in Turkey? Or my NC residence permit would be enough to apply with? Thanks.

If you wish to enter Turkey with multiple entry visa, U will need to apply showing your bank statement (50USD per day), IV letter from your recipient, proof of accommodation and the process is about 8wks. I doubt you will be issue multiple entry visa as first timer. If you secure single entry or double entry and you do not abuse your visa then you may secure 6 or 3 months multiple entry with 10-15 days max stay on each visit. ENTRY VISA takes 8wks while TRANSIT visa can be obtained within 2days and has different procedure from ENTRY visa and you can stay maximum 5days on TV. With UK vlid visa you can obtain 24hrs online visa with 30days stay single entry.

I dont advise you on such...800K is around 5k USD..it will not take you anywhere and you cant survive normally with this amount abroad. Traveling abroad is huge investment and it must have genuine purpose and sustainable target/s. Why not start groundnut farming in Nigeria till ASUU resumes their strike? you can learn how to do coated groundnut and package it well than wasting this 800k on unfeasible voyage...Is just an advise though! Anyway 800K wont do you anything in Cyprus you may as well try closer and cheaper countries like Ghana if you must leave your country!

You need visa and if is entry visa, it takes you about 8wks to secure that from NC. If you have UK or Schengen visas you can apply online and obtain ur visa within 24hrs. You will need IV letter from him to facilitate your visa appli.

Information changes daily based on circumstance and period..the first page you read was written in 2009 that's 4yrs back so things have moved apart.

EMU tuition fees for Architecture is 2300USD each semester currently thats inclusive of 50% discount. EMU is located in the Northern part of Cyprus and you need standby sponsor to cover your bills as jobs are quite scarce now. You will need to pay for accommodation as well and feeding. Kindly budget about 4000USD each semester to be okay which includes tuition and boarding!. Read each university website and decides on what to do. Dont be quick to apply or send your documents to anybody but be quick to do thorough research on the universities and on what you want!!

Google is a search engine you can manipulate to learn alot. For you to travel abroad kindly ensure you have STANDBY SPONSOR to pay your bills till you graduate. Kindly type universities in Cyprus and north Cyprus to google it will bring it out the universities and see the program you want. Almost all university do list the fees for each program and you can learn about the admission requirements. Incase you need further help do not hesitate to show up here after your search!

You can choose any dorm you want. Only Sabanci dorm has 50% discount for female but if you Dont like it, we have more than 8 other dormitories you can choose from (but scholarship not included). We have a new dorm for girls that will be completed in Oct 2013 also you can choose that. You will be accommodated for few days (1-2 days) for you to make your choice. The cheapest is Sabanci though!

EMU has one of the finest and modern gym (Emu Sporium Cardio-Fitness & Gym) is around 5k naira for EMU students per term! There are also the free one but not as equipped as the EMU sporium!! Dont be confused becos of GYM unless you are here to study gym!!

I greet the house. I got an admission in estonia. And as u all know, there is no estonia embassy or consular in the country. Therefore i have to apply 4 a residence permit in person @ any country that estonia exist. It means that i have to apply for a week atleast in any country that has the embassy. I have option of egypt, turkey and india. I have tried egypt but they denied with a dot in the last page of my passport signifying that i can't go in the embassy(all the ambassador did was to read the enrollment letter the school sent me and said "thank you, u may leave". I left, immediately they brought all my documents down. This left me in real quandary. I askd the reason for denying my request, i didnt get any rejoinder. I have no choice than to defer the admission. I have 2 option left for next year: turkey and india. I really an oreintation on how to go abt turkey visa.

GO to INDIA...thats the ONLY advise and best i can give you. it will take u almost 1 month to get the visa after u submit there.

You dont need to go to ministry of foreign affairs. Just go to ministry of education and after that proceed straight to Turkish embassy. Dont waste your money!!!. Just get Notary attested affidavit for name change. Submit all together during your application..SIMPLE dont ask anything about this again (You understand...CLEAR ENOUGH). Send me email just write Visa step.. i will email you what to do. You dont need agent to do anything for you unless you have so much money to waste...

usdane: Hello Wip9, please i have to quote this from ur post in 2012 because im currently in a familiar situation. I have my full names stated on my Waec Result (including My Name, Surname and Family name) While In my passport, my Family's name is excluded. Just my name and surname. I wrote my School CIU to provide another Acceptance containing the same name as my Intl' passport after they initially gave stated my full names as in my waec result, THINKING IT IS SAFER/BETTER TO MATCH THE NAME ON MY PASSPORT WITH THE NAME ON MY O'LEVEL RESULT. However, this ur post here states otherwise. Which is to match d admission letter with d o'level instead of d Passport. And i bliv u know better, so which admission letter can you candidly advise i apply for Visa with? Kind regards.

Schools in NC prepares admission letter based on your names on your results not passport. So present all your documents to the embassy.

How you will pay and the bank details are stated on your offer letter. Read it well or ask somebody to help you read it and follow the steps there. How you will get the visa will be on Turkish embassy website, kindly check the site and be informed. Email your university for additional directions!

Thanks my bruddah... Penroll is very correct. I don't work with embassy neither am I paid by EMU or any school to give advise or info here.. Just my own way of contributing to assist students from fallen victims of fraudsters...

Pls I don't work with embassy there is no way I can know when appointment will be send or receive from embassy. You can contact embassy for any embassy related problems.

Any questions directed to me and no reply within 2days just know .... I won't answer cos some have even emailed me asking for color of cloths to buy when they arrive NC... pls am not weather also . Thanks for your understanding. I will attend to technical and reasonable questions.
