He's a hero for facilitating the birth of the strongest and most formidable opposition party in Nigeria, one that is on the verge of, and has the brightest chance, of unseating an incumbent president -- and if successful would be a first in Nigeria's history.

He's a villain for not supporting Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's re-election bid -- according to PDP supporters.
Politics › Re: Tinubu From Hero To ?? Where Did It All Go Wrong. by WisdomFlakes: 5:07pm On Mar 06, 2015
No matter what the PDP says about Tinubu, I will bet a million bucks that GEJ would wish the same Tinubu was on his side at this point in time than with Buhari.

A million PDP propaganda can't hide the fact that Tinubu's visionary leadership is primarily responsible for the Lagos and Fashola success as we know it.

This man, Tinubu, is the facilitator of the vibrant opposition we have today. One that strikes FEAR and TREPIDATION in the hearts if the ruling PDP, so much so that the ruling party has to resort to attacking his person as the gov't's own record of 'transformation' is inadequate to run on.

If the gov't feels it has enough SOLID proof, NOT based on UNPROVABLE rumours, of any criminal activity against the man, they should do their jobs and bring him to book. But if not, they should forever hold their peace.
Politics › Re: How Did Our President Becomes So Rich by WisdomFlakes: 4:43pm On Mar 06, 2015
Easy question. First of all, he doesn't believe that corruption is stealing, and vice-versa. And secondly, he refused to declare his assets publicly, that way we the masses won't know whether the amount he was worth in before he got into office is commensurate with the overall worth of the overt and underG businesses that are linked to him while still in office.

In other words, the 'clueless' one is corruption personified. He had it all planned from the very start.

Sometimes I look at the APC and I'm forced to think the sudden disappearance of GMB had long been scripted. He went underground almost after the postponement of the Presidential election, went to the UK while the incoming VP got himself engaged with grassroot politics, touching the least person in the society while the PDP and GEJ plus his two birdies, FFK and Fayose were busy labelling the General with death chants. GEJ's endless charade of 'youth' bribery meetings went on and then, voila! the General returns and the big spender is once again relegated. God bless the General.

Sai Buhari!

My brother, you are correct. I believe his UK vacation was well-scripted. The PDP seem oblivious to the fact that they are underdogs compared to the APC in the strategy department.

PDP thought they're smart and had succeeded in slowing GMB's momentum by postponing the elections, not realizing that they're the ones being played!

Amaechi, wait for your turn.
AIT is preparing your own documentary.
Buhari had to run away to tend to his heart, else AIT documentary would have sent him to an earlier grave.
A billion AIT propaganda documentaries cannot stop this moving train of Change. AIT is only making the APC more popular. If anything, we should be thanking Ait for the free publicity.

We all know and can see how effective their Tinubu documentary has actually created a mystique and aura of invincibility about the man. Without a doubt, GEJ would wish he had the same Tinubu the PDP is currently demonizing on his side at this point in time than with Buhari, hence his frustration. cheesy

With the return of the General, the coming days will indeed be very disconcerting for GEJ and the PDP coz we will literally March Buhari into the Presidency. Nigerians are tired of PDP's scam 'transformation' and are ready to move on to real CHANGE.

Enough of fuel scarcity, epileptic electricity, endemic and systemic corruption, and a faltering economic. We demand CHANGE!

Amaechi: Fresh APC campaigns will frighten the president

March 04

Rotimi Amaechi, governor of Rivers state and spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign organisation, says his party has not resumed its presidential campaign rallies, but when it does, there would be crowds that would “frighten the president”.

Speaking in Degema, Obonoma and Abonnema communities in Degema and Akuku-Toru local government areas of the state where APC held a ward-to-ward campaign, Amaechi assured the people that APC under Buhari, if elected, would turn around the country’s misfortunes.

Noting that the challenges currently plaguing the country would be adequately addressed with needed political will to positively turn around the country’s wheel of development, he criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for not taking decisive action on the recent tragic shooting that disrupted the APC rally in Okirika.

“This election is not about brother, it is about your stomach. The president can afford, if dollar likes, dollar can get to N300 to N400 to a dollar, the president can afford it but you can’t afford it,” Amaechi said.

“Now, they tried everything possible to stop the dollar from losing control. They couldn’t because the economy will determine whether the dollar will lose control or not, and the economy has done that already.

“Another one is fuel. They have done everything possible to pay for fuel. They can’t pay. The money is not there. Now, there is fuel crisis. If they win, they will abandon you completely because they have no solution to the problem.

“The first solution to the problem is a new government. Are we going to win? The answer is yes. We have not started campaign. We will start campaign by the end of this week. We will see the crowd again that will frighten the president. Nigerians want change. Things have got to change.”

He decried the poor state of the federal road in Kalabari area, assuring that Buhari, when elected president, would fix the road and bring other democratic dividends to the state.

“See your road. I sat with the president with Kalabari chiefs and I said, ‘Allow me take this road, two years ago. President said no’.

“You can see the road; next rainy season, you cannot drive into this place unless you change the president and if you change the president, then the new president can fix the road, not the Rivers state government.

“It’s a federal road. It’s important everybody understands that the road into Kalabari is a federal road and I asked permission to fix the road and the president said no and he has refused to fix it. If he likes Kalabari people, why has he not fixed it?”

He urged the people of the state to vote Dakuku Peterside as governor in the state and Buhari as president, saying Buhari would also guarantee the safety of lives of Nigerians by providing them security.

“Protect your votes. How do you protect your votes? Follow the man. If we don’t win, the kings of this place will no longer be in charge here.

“It will be these people who carry guns. You know, people say Boko Haram in the North, we also have Boko Haram in the South because of the number of people they kill every day and the president doesn’t care. The president heard about shooting in Okrika, he has done nothing.

“If you want your life to be cared for, then allow Buhari to come. The only way Buhari can come is for you to go and vote APC on that day.”

Amaechi also said the president rejected his first two ministerial nominees from Kalabari because he did not like Kalabari people.

“If he (Jonathan) likes Kalabari people, why did he reject Odein Ajumogobia and Tonye Cole?” he asked.

APC Loses 2,000 members to PDP in Ondo

March 2, 2015

Barely one week after losing 1,500 of its members to the Peoples Democratic Party in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, the All Progressive Congress Party (APC), at the weekend, lost another 2,000 members in the state to the PDP.

The defection took place during a campaign rally led by the state governor, Olusegun Mimiko, at Okitipupa and Ilaje local government areas of the state.

The governor and coordinator of the party’s presidential campaign for Southwest, who led the campaign rallies to the council areas to solicit support for the presidential candidate of the PDP, Goodluck Jonathan, and other candidates of the party in the state said the dominance of the PDP in the state is total.

Mimiko thus urged the people to ensure they vote massively for Jonathan to ensure a resounding victory for the president and the PDP. He added that a PDP government at the centre means the state would benefit more from the Federal Government.

At the rally held in Okitipupa, about 2,000 members of the APC, led by Mrs Grace Adenuga, Mr Ejobe Friday, Mr Fagbounle Olakunle and Mr Sunday Omoyeye, defected to the PDP.

The defectors hinged their decision on the achievements of the PDP in the state and at the national level as well as their belief that the President, if re-elected, will implement the recommendations of the report of the National Conference convened by the President last year.

Those who at the rallies, attended by all the PDP leaders from the zone including, Kingsley Kuku, Akintoye Albert, Sola Ebiseni, Oladunni Odu, John Ola Mafo and Eddy Olafeso, among others. Mimiko warned the people not to fall prey to the negative change being propagated by the opposition parties.

He stressed that votes for Jonathan would translate to more dividends of good governance in Nigeria, adding that it is only President Jonathan’s antecedents that can lead Nigeria to the Promised Land owing to his genuine humanitarian services to the nation.

The governor urged them to support a true democrat like the President, who believes in the implementation of the reports of the National Conference in the best interest of all Nigerians.

As per defections, no biggie there, a bunch of PDP members also recently defected to APC here in Lagos and even tore their membership cards! OBJ style cheesy cheesy cheesy

400 PDP members defect to APC, shred membership cards

 February 28, 2015

 Written by Musa Odoshimokhe

No fewer than four hundreds members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.

They tore their membership cards after dumping the party.

Receiving the defected members, the ward chairman of APC, Ajasa Ward B , in Abule Egba area of the state, Chief Adekunle Faworin said the defected members of the PDP have resolved to work for the APC to ensure that the party wins the coming election in the state. He regretted that the new members were not fairly treated in PDP and assured them that they are at home in the APC.

He said: “ What happened will go along way to put our party in the lead, though we do not envisage any problem because Lagos is for the progressives. Now that these members of the PDP have joined us, they are fully welcome and we will work with them to ensure that our party triumphs in the coming election.

I am so glad that all of them said they have their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).

Speaking, the spokesperson of the defectors, Mr. Michael Babalola said: “We came here under the banner of Progressives Voters for Good Governance (PVGG). Right from the on set, we have used this group to work for the PDP but the party has not recognised our efforts.

“Our members have not benefited anything from the PDP in the state Lagos. Besides, we are not happy with the way the country is being run by the PDP led government at the centre. Given that we want progress in the country and our believe that the APC can change the country, we have to defect to the party to ensure the success of the governorship candidate, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode,” he said.

He said PVGG has over 10,000 members who were working for the PDP but would start working for the APC henceforth.
