I need a sensible answer to this question. no hating pls. it's just a simple question. if millions died in battle for the actualization of biafra y did he run to protect his single life? was it worth more than the Nigerians who lost their own lives in battle? did he place more value on his life than he did on millions? would u dim it wise if the current massob leader does does same? what do u think would have happened to any soldier in that battle or battles if he, upon realising imminent defeat, decided to drop his gun and run?

all I'm saying is avoid war at any cost cos those of u crying blood now will realise that when d drums of war start beating your mindsets will change after seeing it's horror. battles are no longer won on battle fields but in the mind of humans. even the sponsors of boko haram had to win the minds of the minions they use before they could get them to fight or blow up themselves.
God bless the Ibo man
Go bless the Yoruba man
God Bless th Hausa man
God Bless Nigeria
God Bless Nigerians.
For all I see the biafra do not want war, all they want is freedom to govern themselves. Why must there be war in african countries b4 succession can place? Like the 30years succession war of sudan which gave birth to south suden. Why will a group declare a total annihilation of another group bcus they decided to part ways with them? I just can't figure out why africa so much like war. Britain recently organize a referendum for independent of scottish pple , without any bloodshed. When will africa grow an advance
mental faculty to understand that forcing or
threaten a group of pple with war to remain with
you is tantamount to slavery. The togetherness of
different group of pple can only yield good when
there exist a harmonious mutual understanding btw
them. There is no love in the unity of Nigeria, and
the southerners has been on the receiving end esp
the Igbo christians , who had continue to be a victim
in the numerous tribal massacres often perpetrated
in the North part of Nigeria. Where is the love?

Africans are cruel and wicked. Bunch of blood
sucking black demons with fish brain, who scream
war anytime they hear succession. African leaders
are all bunch of literate fools. This is why africa will
remain under-develop until they strive to overcome
their dementia mind-set and blaze up to catch with
their contemporaries in the western world.

It is a fact that the civil war provided a golden
opportunity for the country to have developed
technologically but the opportunity was lost due to
tribalism, sectionalism, regionalism, disunity and
fear of domination by the Igbos. Every focus was

All over the world, the period of war is a time when a nation discovers itself and engages in technological development. For instance, the internet the world is enjoying presently was invented by the American Army during World War
II. It was invented to enable the American Army communicate among themselves with ease. Today, the internet is the greatest tool for communication and doing businesses. The Asian Tigers, especially Japan also discovered its technological prowess
immediately after World War II. During World War II, the city of Hiroshima was devastated by an atomic bomb that was detonated by the American Army. Thereafter, the Japanese went into in-depth researches in technological development. Japan got amazing results from her researches and at the moment, Japan is the largest manufacturer of
electronic products, cars, mobile phones, satellites, guns, nuclear plants, etc. As this article is being written, Japan is the third largest economic after America and China due to its technological
advancement.

The Nigerian Civil War was a golden opportunity for the country to have developed technologically if the opportunities it provided were harnessed. During the three years war, the Igbo scientists and engineers gave good account of themselves in terms of technological inventions. In the heat of the civil war, the leader of the young Biafra Republic, Lt. Col. Chukwuemeka Ojukwu called a meeting of engineers and scientists, and challenged them to produce a counter weapon to all that Britain and Russia were providing to the Nigerian Government. According to the Biafran leader:

“The answer I got within a space of six weeks were shore batteries, unbelievable anti-aircraft weapons to checkmate the excesses of those cowardly Egyptain pilots who bombed hospitals, farmlands and markets and, a little later, the father of them all, Ogbunigwe (mass destroyer) made from dust. And they began manufacturing them in large quantities to assist the war efforts. That indomitable spirit is now caged by the bad government in Lagos”.

It is true that necessity is the mother of invention. The dare necessity to survive the civil war compelled the Igbos to discover their technological prowess. The Biafran inventors were led by Ugah Aguata, a science genius, Engineer Roy Umenyi, Ben Nwosu, Godian Ezekwe, Emma Osolu, Sam Orji, Njoku Obi etc manufactured unfathomable weapons not expected of young nation like Nigeria that got independence only six years back.

Thus, the Igbo engineers first invented shore batteries with which they devastated marine craft. They also invented anti-aircraft weapons which they used to control the excesses of the federal fighting jets. The Biafran Army made a bomb they called “Ojukwu Bucket” or “Ogbunigwe,” which means the mass killer. Ojukwu called the invention of Ogbunigwe “the father of them all”. This bomb was used by the Biafran Army to execute havoc on the
federal army. Dr. Sam Orji, a world-renowned nuclear physicist and bomb expert and Dr. Felix Oragwu, also a nuclear physicist played a crucial
role in sustaining the Biafran war effort by inventing bombs for the secessionist Briafra. Engineer William Achukwu, an Agricultural Engineer actually fabricated the metallic bucket that was used for
making the Ogbunigwe bomb. The Biafran Armed Forces engineers also manufactured armoured cars which were very effective and comparable to those
made by advanced nations. They invented ground to air missiles, assault rifles, gun boats for amphibious attacks, rocket launchers, rocket propelled grenades, etc. They built refineries with which they refined their crude oil; ambulances were manufactured; bunkers and other war armaments.

Nonetheless, Nigeria lost the opportunities provided by the civil war to develop technologically and become "Japan of Africa" because the Nigerian Government did not assemble the scientists and engineers that invented these weapons! The Igbo engineers and scientists that manufactured these war armaments should have been assembled together in a technology village where their knowledge should have been harnessed for the growth of the country and africa at large, but rather they were allowed to disperse. The reason why the Igbo scientists and engineers were not assembled for positive encouragement might not be unconnected with tribalism, ethnicity, sectionalism, regionalism, and above all, the fear of domination by the Igbos. Undoubtedly, other tribes felt that if the Igbos were encouraged, they would use their inventions against other tribes in case of another outbreak of war. Though, after the civil war, the Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon introduced a three point agenda of reconstruction, rehabilitation and reintegration which was aimed at fostering unity and national integration among the various nationalities in the country, the programme was not executed with honesty as the Igbos were not truly
reintegrated into the Nigerian society. The Head of State also said that there was no “No victor, no vanquished” yet the Igbos are seen immediately after the civil war and even today as the vanquished.

So, Nigeria lost a great opportunity to have developed technologically because the leaders had a myopic view about the country. From all indications, the civil war was fought to control the oil-rich Niger Delta area and not for unity. If the north had oil like the Niger Delta area, there would not have been a civil war in Nigeria. If the war was prosecuted for the purpose of unity as the leaders claimed, they would have assembled the Igbo geniuses that carried out these awe-inspiring inventions.

Thus, the armoured cars, shore batteries, anti-aircraft weapons, bombs, guns, ambulances, trucks, rocket propelled grandees, assault rifles, gun boats
for amphibious attacks, rocket launchers, etc which the country is importing presently were to be made locally if the aftermath of the civil war was effectively managed. Many factories would have
been built where these weapons would have been manufactured in large quantities. This would have been a good source of revenue generation for the
country instead of depending only on oil money. Thus, the huge amount of money being spent on the importation of these things would have been diverted to other relevant uses. Apart from the huge
foreign exchange that would have been earned from the export of these manufactured products, it would have also provided employment opportunities for the teaming population of unemployed youths across the country. This would have reduced the current high crime rate in the country.

It is a fact that the civil war provided a golden opportunity for the country to have developed technologically but the opportunity was lost due to tribalism, sectionalism, regionalism, disunity and
fear of domination by the Igbos. The country can still assemble the Igbo scientists and engineers that are still living so as to continue from where they
stopped at the end of the civil war. This is so because it is better late than never.

PoliticsFALAE’S ABDUCTION: You’re A Joker, M.I Abaga Tells Fani-kayode by wisdomguy4u(op): 11:32am On Sep 22, 2015
Chocolate City rapper, Jude Abaga popularly called
(M.I), yesterday, took a swipe at erstwhile Minister
of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, over his
statement that should anything happen to the
abducted former Secretary to Government of the
Federation (SGF), and Afenifere chieftain, Chief Olu
Falae, the Federal Government will be held
responsible and there will be consequences.
The Nigerian hip hop recording artist, who took to
his verified Twitter handle @MI_Abaga said: “Mr.
Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK), you are a joker… Instead
of being prayerful and hopeful for a statesman’s
life, you are making threats against our
government… Please!”

Recall that following Monday’s abduction of Chief
Falae from his farm, in Ilado village, Akure North
area of Ondo state, by suspected Fulani
herdsmen numbering over 20, Fani-Kayode had
condemned the abduction in a statement, calling
on the Federal Government and security agencies
to as a matter of urgency fish out perpetrators of
the act.

The statement of Fani-Kayode read in part: “The
abduction of Chief Olu Falae is not only
unacceptable but it also an exceptionally
dangerous development. I say this because he is
not only an elder-statesman of our country but he
is also one of the most revered leaders of
Afenifere and the south-west.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/19/scotland-rejects-independence-uk_n_5847302.html

Nigeria's issues goes well beyond just the fact that we were forced to come together as a nation and we also have to consider just how much tribalism is dividing us. If the Ibos get Biafra, they are still going to be faced with the issue of Imbitse against Untu and this applies to every other part of Nigeria.

I believe our major issue is separating our cultural differences from the law.
I disagree with you. For you to ever think that the North will separate their beloved islam from the law of Nigeria is a mirage. If you are thinking of drinking a bottle of beer publicly in the far north someday, then think again, bcus it would never happen. As far as true moslems are concern, the law is islam and any move to alter it will be violently rebutted.

Nations are built when the inhabitants willingly come together and create a nation that shall foster the progress and wellbeing of EVERYONE within its borders. But that's not the case with Nigeria- it's a British experiment that was designed with the devious intent to stop the development of the inhabitants, thereby giving the wicked and hypocritical British thugs an everlasting reason to continue to meddle in our affairs.

Nigeria isn't a nation, but a business venture in which the North was given an unfair advantage by the same wicked British thugs.

We saw how Scotland that has being a part of the UK since 1707 went for a referendum last year in a bid to break free from the UK.

Nigeria has two options: Restructure this system OR sustain it with the blood of millions.

PoliticsAfrica's Most Entrepreneurial Ethnic Groups by wisdomguy4u(op): 6:58pm On Sep 21, 2015
In the age of the globalization, the most entrepreneurial communities win. It’s not just a
matter of individual success but some communities
that possess certain skills will emerge to dominate
significant sections of the economy. This can be seen in India’s Parsi and Marwari, and Punjabi
communities, the Punjabi of Pakistan, the Chinese in South East Asia, the Lebanese in West Africa, the
Indians in East Africa or the Jews in the United
States. But what about Africans? The domination of
African economies particularly by Indian and
Lebanese communities might lead one to deduce
that there is a virtual dearth of entrepreneurial talent amongst sub Saharan Africa’s 1 billion people. However there are certain communities in Africa that have distinguished themselves through great trading skills which have seen them amass
significant wealth. In the age of globalization where
entrepreneurship and a sense of adventure in
business determines who wins and who loses, they
will be perfectly placed to reap from the global
markets.

1. Igbo of Nigeria:
The Igbos of Nigeria are Africa’s most energetic and
most entrepreneurial people. They are not ancient
traders but emerged much more recently with the
onset of the British colonialism. Through sheer grit,
hard work and a talent for spotting new opportunities, they emerged as the dominant
traders and business leaders as Nigeria raced
towards independence in the mid 50s. The Igbo
dominance of Nigeria’s commerce and industry was
one of the reasons that led to the Biafran war. Today you can find Igbo traders all over the world from South Africa, Kenya, Ivory Coast, China, Japan, the United States, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia,
Malaysia, Ireland, Vietnam, India amongst others.
They are mostly merchants although a significant
number have diversified into industry, banking, and
transportation and service businesses. Researchers
have identified the Igbos along with the Ashkenazi
Jews and the Swiss Protestants as the people with
the greatest achievement motivation in the world.

2.Kikuyu of Kenya
Like Nigeria’s Igbos, Kenya’s Kikuyu established businesses with the onset of colonialism. Since Kenya’s pre-colonial economy was entirely in the hand of white settlers, many Kikuyu businesses emerged following Kenya’s independence in 1963. Today, the Kikuyu run businesses straddling virtually all sectors of the Kenyan economy ranging from transportation, retail trade, tourism and hospitality, manufacturing, and much more. Kikuyu business communities can be found in virtually all East African cities such as Kampala, Kigali, Juba,
Kinshasa, Bujumbura, Dar es Salaam and in
countries such as the United States, Britain and
China.

3.The Somali
With their country in shambles for over two decades, one can easily assume that the Somali must be the most impractical people with the worst management skills. But if their success in business is put into consideration, nothing could be further from the truth. The Somalis rank amongst some of Africa’s most entrepreneurial communities. They mainly operate as merchants owning several stalls and are dominant in import-export trade due to their networks in Dubai and Guangzhou. You will find Somalis in businesses such as imports of clothes, shoes, watches, laptops and other manufactured goods mainly from Asia. Export trader mainly involves miraa or khat to Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea and the Arabian Peninsula. In recent years, many Somalis have diversified into transportation, hospitality and banking.

4.The Chagga of Tanzania
Numbering just 2 million people, Tanzania’s Chagga
are known for their great entrepreneurial skills and
are the wealthiest ethnic community in Tanzania.
They are also one of the most educated people in
Tanzania. Together with their prowess in harnessing
agriculture, the Chagga are great merchants and are present in almost every corner of the country. They have massive financial power in Tanzania and own businesses ranging from banks, insurance
companies, tourist resorts, airlines (Precision Air)
and are players in many other sectors of the
economy.

5.Akan people of Ghana and Ivory Coast
From the 15th century to the 19th century the Akan
people dominated gold mining and trading in the
region and, from the 17th century on, they were
among the most powerful groups in west Africa.

Akan Jungle Warfare,
The Third Anglo-Empire of Ashanti War.
The Graphic 1874

This wealth in gold attracted European traders. Initially the Europeans were Portuguese but, eventually the Dutch and British joined in the quest for Akan gold. Groups such as the Benin Empire in modern day Nigeria and states in Central Africa would serve as intermediaries who waged wars on neighboring states in their geographic area to capture people and sell them as slaves to Europeans (Portuguese) who subsequently sold the enslaved people along with guns to Akans states in exchange for Akan gold. Akan gold was also used to purchase slaves from further up north via the Trans- Saharan route. The Akan purchased slaves in order to help clear the dense forests within Akanland. About a third of the population of many Akan states were enslaved people. The Akans went from buyers of slaves to selling slaves as the dynamics in Akanland and the New World changed. Thus, the Akan people played a considerable role in supplying Europeans with slaves for the trans-Atlantic slave trade. Ghana later apologized to the descendents of slaves for the role some of its people may have played in the slave trade.

Akan people, especially the Ashanti, fought against European colonists to maintain autonomy including many Anglo-Ashanti wars. the war of the Golden Stool, and other similar battles.

By the early 1900s all of Akanland in Ghana was a colony or protectorate of the British while the lands
in the Ivory Coast was under the French. On 6 March 1957, following the decolonization from the British under the leadership of Kwame Nkrumah, the Gold Coasts Akanland was joined to British Togoland, and the Nothern region, Upper East region and Upper West region of the Gold Coast to form Ghana. Ivory Coast gained independence on 7 August 1960.

Groups like the famous Igbo tribe, which has contributed much genetically to the African American blacks, are well known to be high academic achievers within Nigeria. In fact, their performance seems to be at least as high as the “model minority” Chinese and Indians in the UK, as seen when some recent African immigrants are divided into languages spoken at home (which also indicates that these are not multigenerational descendants but children of recent immigrants).

But they have one major fault which is , when they hustle and make wealth, they always like to showcase their wealth anywhere they find themselves ; this draws hatred (envy and jealous) toward them from their host. Which is why they are always a target for pogrom, their properties destroyed and taken away from them. They feel at home in place they find themselves, which is why they have investments in every region of Nigeria.

The SEnrs are wonderful pple with strong desire for freedom
