Are you saying that the "best hands" are mostly from the North? I'm still waiting for when a Northerner will make Nigeria proud intellectually in the international pace as the Southerners had been doing. |
The Enugu state police command has faulted claims by the Department of State Security DSS that some Boko Haram members were arrested in Enugu state recently. DSS had released a statement on Sunday August 30th, stating that it had arrested some frontline Boko Haram members in Lagos, Plateau, Gombe, Kano and Enugu state. DSS in the statement said 12 Boko haram members were arrested in Lagos state while three were arrested in Enugu, Gombe and Kano. However, spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, says no investigation nor arrest of any member of Boko haram sect has been carried out by the command “There is no case of Boko Haram investigated by the command, neither was there any arrest by the command. Meanwhile, the command is relying on the already established proactive measures which have so far kept the state and its environs safe,” he told Punch http://www.lindaikeji..co.ke/2015/09/enugu-police-command-faults-dss-claims.html?m=1 |
I hear a lot of people accuse the ibos of being filled with hate toward other tribe, of being the problem of Nigeria. But, I have never heard of Ibos attacking other tribes in their land or outside their land. The ibo land is one of the most peaceful part of Nigeria, they pay their taxes and rents where ever they finds themselves, they relate well with their host. I see no reason why ibos should be seen as a problem in Nigeria. . The real problem are the fulanis , they look for problem where ever they go, they attack their host unprovoked, destroy farmlands and threaten any community they enters with death. They move around freely with guns. Nobody is talking about this herdsmen bloodsucking demons, their leaders are not condemning them, the press are silent toward their evil action. . Every focus and energy are been channeled on the ibos. The Ibos are hardworking pple who value life, they are not a threat, the threat are the fulanis. The fulanis are the real blood thirsty bigots . ajasbaba:If he doesn't trust pple from the southern part of the country, maybe he should just simply cut off the North , and form a country of the North only. You can't say "one Nigeria" but act otherwise. |
The government is made up of three(3) arm ; The Executive, Legislative and the Judiciary. These three arm are independence bodies which has power to check and balance each other to ensure that no arm acts outside the cubicle of the law. Since the forth republic (1999-2014) , there had never been a time a section of the Country occupied the head position in the three(3) arm of Government, the federal character had always been uphold, until 2015 when President buhari came into power. Buhari's Government: 1. Executive arm *President - Buhari (North) 2.Legislative arm *Senate President. - Bukola Saraki (North) *Speaker of House of Rep - Yakubu Dongara (North) 3. Judicial arm *Chief Justice - Mahmud Mohammed (North) Tell me how can this three (3) powerful independence arm of Government be headed by a particular section in a secular country like Nigeria. How will the check and balance be done. It will be a situation of the North checking and balancing the North while the rest of the Country watch in amazement. Below is Obasanjo and Jonathan's Government: Obasanjo's Government 1. Executive arm President - Obasanjo (South) 2. Legislative arm *Senate President : Aminu Bello Masari (North) *Speaker House of Reps: Adolphus Wabara (South) 3. Judiciary : Muhammad Lawal Uwais (North) Jonathan's Government 1. Executive President - Goodluck Jonathan (South) 2. Legislative arm Senate President : David Mark (North) House of Reps: Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (North) 3. Judiciary arm Chief Justice : Aloma Mariam Mukhtar (North) Those who can't see Northernization of the country in this current government are simply blind or just pretending to be blind. |

OP your write up is the stupidest thing i have ever read. Your argument lack common sense in it. Some of your muslim brothers are busy killing innocent pple around the world in the name of promoting islam and quoting the Quran to support their action, and you are here defending them by listing for us Christian men who commit whenever atrocities they committed to promote their political career. Have u ever seen a person planting bombs in every corner to kill innocent pple to promote christianity? Goes and check all the Muslims Countries around the world, and tell me how many is free from terrorist ... |

The late ’50s to early ’60s were exciting times in Nigeria. Chinua Achebe had just published Things Fall Apart. Wole Soyinka was back from Leeds and beginning to dazzle people with his playwriting skills. Fela Kuti was laying the ground work for what will become Afrobeat. A few years before, Tai Solarin had built May Flower School and was already spreading his gospel of educational innovation. C. Odumegwu Ojukwu, the leader of Biafra—the breakaway nation that sparked a civil war in Nigeria during late ’60s— was part of this creative and intellectual scene. He studied history in Oxford University and was expected to get a job in civil service and live the dream of colonial middle class life. He tried it, hated it, and went into the army. Those days, people who had degrees, especially from Oxford, just did not go into the army. Ojukwo was one of the first who did. He wrote a lot during the Biafra war. Many of his notes and speeches are collected in a volume of Selected Speeches and Random Thoughts. My indifference to Ojukwu and his generation of leaders changed when I started reading this collection—a work I highly recommend. It’s sad, but Nigerians have become so disillusioned and cynical that they forget that there is so much in their past—a rich archive of people and ideas—from which they could draw inspiration. Nigeria has had some truly inspiring leaders its past. They were not perfect by any means, but they were thinkers, writers, and charismatic public speakers. Ojukwu was one of them, as you’ll find in the quotes below. 1. The history of the world is a chronicle of oppression. 2. Since oppression is maintained by force, it is only possible to remove that oppression by a counterforce. 3. The illegal regime in Lagos under Gowon has accused Biafra of playing politics with her people’s misery. Our answer is simple: “We do not play politics. We are not masochists; rather, we are a people who choose to hunger a little to remain alive instead of feeding fat to become respectable corpses.” 4. We do not ask for pity. We make no apologies for the social phenomenon known as the Biafran revolution; rather, we proclaim with pride the inevitability of our struggle, the indestructability of our people, and the assured finality of our success. 5. Biafra is a child of circumstance…His existence and survival are always a marvel, sometimes bordering on a miracle. His life is a tribute to man, his courage is his endurance, his ingenuity is his humanity. 6. For unity to be meaningful it has to be creative, not the unity of Jonah in the whale but the unity of holy matrimony. The first can only lead to defecation, the second to procreation. 7. If a leader accepts himself as already dead to society, there will be no reason for cowardice in his leadership. One thing that frightens leaders and lead them to a number of excesses is usually fear of death. No leader should fear death. In fact, you should accept the fact that from the moment of leadership you are sacrificed to death. Each subsequent day becomes a bonus for the preparation of one’s memorial. 8. What I have become, in this struggle is the mouthpiece of my people. I go where they push and no more. The day I think otherwise, the day I act otherwise, that day my people, without compromising the struggle, will find another person to express their aspirations. 9. We are humans. We live. We fight, fight because the decision to be free is a decision taken freely and collectively, because to become involved in violent struggle for freedom is the only honor left to an oppressed people threatened with genocide, because in the final analysis the only true bulwark against death is to live. She should tell her husband everything, I believe he will understand. A call from her husband to her stepsister will get her shivering. This will make her do all she could financially to calm their nerves. she can't do much alone without her husband |
1. Most people are actually nice: This is something I’ve only recently realized. Most people are nice, but not usually to strangers. Once they get to know you and you get to know them, they will most likely seem like very nice people. 2. Failure is great: One of the most important, if not the most important steps to success is failure. You have to fail at least once, but it’s better if you’ve failed multiple times. You can learn so much more from your failures than you could any other way. And when you finally achieve success, you’ll appreciate it so much more. 3. Someone always has it worse: At times you may be having a bad day, but stop yourself and think about it; there has to be millions of other people are having a worse day than you. Such thinking will help you feel better. 4. You have many talents: You may be a talented athlete or musician but you probably have ten more talents you don’t even know about. When people find something they’re good at, they only focus on that instead of seeing what else they can do. 5. If it were easy everyone would do it: This is why get rich quick schemes will never be true. If it was so quick and easy then everyone would be millionaires. Making money and accomplishing tasks is hard work, but well worth it. 6. Follow your passion, money will follow: If you have passion and have fun doing your job, then I wouldn’t consider it a job. You can focus on creating even more passion for that subject and money will eventually follow you. If you focus only on the money, it won’t come because you’re focused on the quantity of your work and not the quality, and you are prone to lose that work. 7. Where you are does not determine where you can go: It doesn’t matter if you’re homeless or living in a mansion, poor or rich, or if you have a first class or a third class graduate, it won’t make any difference in the future. There are countless rags to riches stories to back this point up. If you have the drive and talents, you can go anywhere. You create your own limitations and horizon. 8. You must create and look for opportunities: Opportunities rarely ever come knocking on the door of someone who’s not seeking them. You have to create and seek opportunities for yourself. You have to take the initiative to get the ball rolling and the doors opening. 9. If you can’t help others, you can’t help yourself: Even if it’s just to hold the door for someone or some other simple gesture, it will do wonders for your life. You’ll feel great and you’ll eventually be returned the favor sometime during your life, whether you realize it or not. If you don’t want to help others, then others won’t want to help you, and nor should they. 10. Enjoy yourself: Have fun as much as possible, don’t take everything so seriously. Push your worries aside and bring enjoyment closer. |

We don't want to be any more " I will probe..." Frm buhari, we want to hear things like "I am probing..". We need to hear results; keep your plans to yourself. |
