ayusco85:His kind are the enemies of Nigeria whose focus is firmly on primordial and ethno-religious hatred of whoever is President to the extent they will automatically reject any solution or initiative that Presidents supports. Below is what all sane and critical-thinking Nigerians accept as the reality that has now necessitated the delivery of State or regional policing without delay. The president described Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution as foundational to its democracy but outdated in dealing with modern security threats. He cited the rising complexity of terrorism, cybercrime, farmer-herder conflicts, piracy, and separatist agitations as clear indicators that the current legal framework is inadequate to secure Nigeria’s vast and diverse territory. |
cardoctor:Because vested interests means that what is best for the masses is always what is last/least in the minds of those with powers to make a difference. I.e legislators in this case. We saw how Northern leaders, across all levels of Northern society, tried to bully Northern legislators to withhold their assent for the passage of the tax reform bills. Yet the bills have been ratified by our legislative arm as we all believed would be the case under PBAT because we know he gets things done. Whereas same can never be said for his opponents like Atiku and especially Obi. This is why it is key to support a brave, resolute, well-connected and (most importantly) influential President, across all regions and levels of society, who arrives office with a proven reputation of getting things done. Nigeria is at a critical stage in her history and we should not be messing with a more-of-the-same imperialist born-to-rule character (Atiku) or a misguided, weak and cowardly opportunist in the form of Peter Obi. The Presidency, even if Tinubu will not continue beyond 2027, must be for brave, well-connected, sagacious and resolute leaders who can get the right things done because failure to gain this type of President is now an existentialist threat to Nigeria. |
donleo92:I have warned, for the past few years, specifically with what is shown below, that the bolded in your post is where Nigeria is heading. Only those parasitic, expansionist, covetous and usurper by nature won't accept this inevitability we cannot put off for much longer. PBAT is now warning similarly by announcing failure to amend the constitution seriously threathens the unity of Nigeria. We cannot all wake up to be full of Wisdom on the same day. Such will happen at difference pace for everyone. Yet, when the time has arrived, many in the end will have reached the level of wisdom and ability to think critically that is required to trigger the necessary change some parochial and anti-progress menaces have been successfully frustrating for decades. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/swest-govs-propose-six-regions-demand-lg-autonomy-resource-control/%3famp

CapitalBank:Lol. Really? Thanks for showing the forum you are another ignorant person who believes all others online are in his hungry, desperate, losing and broke position. |
Spandau:Absolutely. Look at how Kanu, very easily, had them all chanting "Buhari is dead and replaced by Jubrin from Sudan" across the globe |
Nchenches:See the person insinuating others are "fools". Reno is not stating anything the averagely well-read Nigeria is not already aware is the proven and sordid history of Obi's failure as a Governor. Abeg, let's forget Reno and notch things up a gear to see if you can keep up. Below are Anambra folks shading Obi about the same terrible development of bodies in Ezu river under Obi's governance of Anambra. Since you want us to believe Reno is a discredited voice, what do you say about those below? Efulefu? Sabo? Oya na. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vDcepIEn78?si=6PbxKmOHTPBh6drV |
Amumaigwe:That's their democratic right. Point remains that there was an order in place, from his superior, the Chief Press Secretary floated. Anyone who understands why society needs law and order will agree with whatever punishment is meted out to him. |
Mrexcell:Lol. How did Obi "solve" the mystery of the butchered bodies, with organs harvested, floating in Ezu River under his watch over tiny Anambra? He could not "solve" that terrible staan on his leadership, and was reduced to placing public advertisement for information with reward in small Anambra he is chief security officer of, yet we are to believe It is the very complex and hydra-headed monster of terrorism, with global influence/sponsors and involvement of even many non-Nigerian terrorist killers, that "only" Obi can "solve"? You lot should try and make this nauseating hero worship make sense. Perhaps you think history of the past has been erased from the brain of all Nigerians. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1232948551960169&id=100057351074401

Nchenches:Is the man below fit to "try" in your opinion? Abeg speak the truth and shame the devil for once so the goodness of mother Earth can be proud of you. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1232948551960169&id=100057351074401

Omokri has even dropped a banger today related to this very topic. Just seen it now. He is calling out Obidients, with how they bank on the short memories of Nigerians to whitewash the image of the Agulu charlatan, for the hypocrisy of Obi having the temerity to attempt shading Tinubu over Benue. Whereas hundreds of young men were killed in Anambra under Obi's watch. Please let us officially petition Oxford dictionary to change "hypocrite" to Obi so that instead of saying "he is a hypocrite" you say "he is an Obi". https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1232948551960169&id=100057351074401

Fellow Nairalander, please watch below to note Anambra indigenes, on ground during Obi's reign as Governor, insinuating his complicity over the bodies floating in Ezu River. One speaks about how, as we now accept is typical , Obidients are silent when the Ezu River bodies is mentioned with fingers firmly pointed in 'Messiah' Obi's direction. Till today Obidient are not demanding justice for the victims or insisting James Nwafor, Peter Obi's 'man friday', be fished out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vDcepIEn78?si=6PbxKmOHTPBh6drV |
Mbanda:I don't have time to go back and forth with Obidients. Insecurity, that Generals like OBJ and Buhari could not resolve, is not a matter for a confirmed coward like Obi always taking flight rather than standing his ground and fighting back. This thread should not be about proving anything related to PBAT. It must be about proving the asinine claim of Obi's asslicking followers. Show us what confirms Obi can tackle Nigeria's security challenges let alone do so in week. Same Obi who coild not solve rhe mystery of the bodies in Ezu River, with their organs harvested, we now know was the heinous work of James Nwafor the Awkuzu SARS butcher who was Obi's 'man friday' while the Agulu fraud was Governor? While Nwafor was butchering young men, harvesting their organs and dumping them in Ezu River, the Agulu conman was insincerely offering public reward for information. You people must really believe Nigerians are dumb. Otherwise una for softly softly with this desperation to make Obi to be superman, Batman and spiderman combined as if history is not there to show us what Obi is. A duplicitous weakling of a leader and a coward.
|
PulaPower:Dont mind them. OBJ went for Obi, while the Agulu fraud was Governor of Anambra. Obi tried to hide and beg rather than fight back. Yet he still got impeached. Nothing OBJ did not do to destroy Tinubu and conquer Lagos for PDP. Not only did PBAT stand his ground but he formed ACN that went on to clear the SW totally of OBJ's PDP menace. Even recently, Obi, as usual, fled PDP rather than face Atiku and the Fulani gang. Tinubu stood his ground in APC, against even the mightiest power in the land, to emerge the Party's 2023 candidate. Only Obidients and mad folks will argue Obi can do anything, especially if related to bravery, Tinubu cannot do. |
Lol. Hungry guyman wan Hammer. Obi the biggest coward that flees always rather than fight. Abeg, Obidient should come and make it make sense. |
Danisaint112:Lol. You people know nothing about politics. Stick to whatever it is you think you know best which is surely not politics. |
Mrfixitt:Lol. Your past posts show you as nothing but a Yoruba-hating bigot. I am not one of those simpleton who will view you as anything other than a hater of the "Zoo" now trying to con others he is an "advocate of good governance". |
This is why I always insist Nairaland is full of riff raffs who have never built anything, owned anything valuable and never worked in a professional or public administration environment. The Chief Press secretary defied an order he should therefore be severely sanctioned for that and for joining protest against the Government he is a part of thereby publicly exposing said Government as incompetent with his action. It is not done. If he wants to do what he has done, he is free to do so as long as he resigns before that. Anyone who owns a business will not tolerate insurbordination from an employee. No Governor can accept being shaded as incompetent by an active member of his own government. Employees themselves, in political, professional and high value jobs, will know they cannot pull this stunt and keep their job because there are specialised codes of conduct for those type of jobs. He should have done what the SSA to Tinubu did. I.e resign because he intends to work against Tinubus re-election. Many Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. Yes Alia has disappointed and must be charged to work urgently to protect the lives and property of the good people of Benue but sane and rational people know not to begin supporting all manners of wrongdoing and senseless rebellion because of anger at Alia. It is why, wrongly, we still have barbaric lynching and "jungle justice" in Nigeria till today. If I am Alia I will sack the Press Secretary as I do regularlly my empolyees who do not understand their main duty, which they are paid for, is to support my effort and the success of my business. Not undermine me. Whatever people think of him, Alia still has to discipline misconduct under him even as many Nigerians cannot understand that. The Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has suspended his Chief Press Secretary, Hon. Ukeyima John UKmoni, indefinitely for participating in the #EndBenueGenocide protest in defiance of official orders. |
Mrfixitt:Lol. You now care about the "Zoo" more than all else abi? I wonder who you lot think you are fooling. |
simpleseyi:Don't mind them. A people notoriously bad at playing/reading politics are mouthing off when they have never been right about anything political. We dey laff. |
Danisaint112:Lol. You think Yorubas are emergency lovers of the "Zoo"? Like you lot only desperate for an Igbo Presidency you think will be achieved by the removal of PBAT? Obi will lose woefully in 2027 and that will be the end of his political career. PBAT will win and will be helped to victory by Northerners who'd rather wait for 2031 than allow Obi pend their return to power till 2035. Ditto Atiku. Influential Northerners would rather work against atiku than help him gain 8 years in office which then kills the ambition of Northerners eyeing the Presidency till 2043. Watch. |
Obaaderemi2:Indeed. A kid in the body of an adult. Or an actual kid using his dad's phone. Certainly too immature to be a proper adult. |
@OP. I can't, for the life of me, understand why you started this thread. You think people you are appealing to can be reasoned with? A people who will conclude, despite the thousands of goods you have done for them, you are their enemy the second you disagree with their opinion of fail to support what they do? So far as Soyinka is not licking Obi's ass, like Dele Farotimi, Macaroni and other Yoruba Obidients, then he is persona non grata to them and a lifelong enemy. Good luck to you and your thread that is an exercise in futility IMO. |
bigpicture001:Here we go again. I think you have comprehension issues. Where have I said government should abandon it's duty and core responsibilities to the people? The point is that Nigerians can do more to be part of the solutions mix. The reason they are not doing more is because they don't have the mindset and orientation, that robust/expansive and qualitatively high education inculcuates, to do more. Same apply to Nigerian leaders not being able to deliver solutions as effectively as their peers worldwide. My point, you deliberately misinterpret, is that those in Government are Nigerians. Not Saints from Heaven. If we have a system that leaves the average Nigerian poor in terms of solutions provision, how do you think leaders will escape same handicap? Crystal clear I am not putting the blame on anyone or supporting the Goverrnment. Unlike you whose talk leaves no one in doubt you are a prejudiced hater of Government and a blind defender of the average Nigeria who, for those who see and admit the truth, is undesirably deficient in comparison to his peers worldwide |
bigpicture001:Look, put issues in context. The example I showed is made with wood and widely used in many nations of the world. The crux of the discussion is people-driven innovativiteit for building successful societies. Stop nitpicking and being a nuisance because of whatever prejudice makes you blind to the bigger picture. |
bigpicture001:Again, more nonsense. Showing your aberrant and needlessly quarrelsome nature. OP made it clear he thinks it is desirable for Nigerians to be capable of producing solutions for themselves. Nothing wrong with that thinking at all. It is not a topic to bring APC Tinubu and Wike into. Any objective person, regardless of political affiliation, can agree OP is entirely correct hinting at a self-destructive and pervasive culture of Nigerians waiting for others to deliver solutions to problems they themselves can devise solutions for. If and only if they jettison the culture of mental laziness of waiting to be spoonfed by others. Unless I have missed it, I don't think OP is suggesting leaders should not work to provide solutions. He is suggesting ordinary Nigerians can be part of the solutions mix also. He is 100% correct. |
bigpicture001:People like you are repellent. This is a good thread to be discussed positively. Everything isn't politics as OP already chided you about. OP is making a point about innovative thinking and having the awareness to use what is around you for solutions you need. That then leads to the bigger picture of how Nigeria can be great and develop rapidly if Nigerians can note and deliver solutions for themselves and their nation. In some States of the US, for example, most home are essentially built using timber and then clad with any material of choice, like brick tiles etal, to achieve desired look to the extent wood homes, because of external cladding and internal plastering, look like a brick home. Look at the image below of two homes. One is under constrcution with Timber frame. By the time it is fully built and clad, it may look like the home next to it. Now, a layman may wonder why Nigerians cannot innovatively consider this option that gives more choice and may be cheaper and quicker to build. That's the point a sensible person would note per the topic of thread and comment of OP. His comment about hair, for example, is spot on. Why are we still incapable of mastering the industry meaning wigs and artifical hair has to be imported yet like 7 out of 10 adult female Nigerians use wigs today and own several each?
|
@OP. Great post and I broadly agree with most of your submissions and conclusion. My take is that poor quality of education that affect all Nigerians (leaders and followers) and all levels of society is a big part of the problem. The education available in Nigeria teaches most to seek solutions rather than be capable of delivering solutions. This is why leaders are incapable of leadership that produced solutions and followers cannot think innovatively to note and deliver solutions without waiting to be spoonfed. Nigerians, from followers to leaders, are a "food is ready" type of people and those sort hardly go on to build sophisticated, developed and wealthy nations where the needs of most citizens are met. |
okrikaboi:Incisive post. You understand the problem which is education. We can lie to ourselves all we want but the reality is that the education on offer today is poorer in quality than what obtained 50 years ago. It is producing Nigerians who think and act less effectively than they can do and in comparison to others worldwide. Education may be more widespread today in Nigeria but it is of poorer quality and will produce adults, followers and leaders, who cannot deliver solutions effectively for themselves and society. |
EmperorIsaac:Absolutely. This is crux of the matter . We cannot import 50k Brits and 60k Germans to lead us. Nigerian leaders will come from the Nigerian people and population. If the Nigerian people, in the majority , are of poor quality then the leader Nigerians receive will also be of poor quality meaning leadership of our nation will be poor overall. Simple as that. |
