Let's just wait for them
Lol. Let them negotiate PDP hurdle first. Wike, PDP President and God, has demanded they zone to south in 2027 or count him out.

When Wike has his body in PDP and his soul blatantly in APC and with Tinubu, yet Atiku the so-called head of the PDP cannot force Wike's ejection from the PDP, what does that reveal to smart and pragmatic observers per those who really control the PDP currently?

Tinubu, by the refusal of imperialist Fulanis to be fair to others in the PDP, and not by design, is firmly in charge of the main Nigerian opposition Party. Only those deluding themselves won't accept that.

just Dey play

With almost dead PDP n almost dead opposition, atiku n obi will labour in vain again.

Remove emotions n b logical, right now 2031 politics have started and as it is now south south have seen d greater picture.

South west is already in d bag for tinubu because Lagos mistake have been corrected with local government election n many lessons learnt n Adeleke of osun already campaigning with tinubu picture.

South south governors want VP come 2031 when it's time for northern president so they will support Tinubu.

As it is now, majority of northerners in APC want a shot at presidency in 2031 so it pays their ambition if tinubu wins but if atiku n obi win they know it's another 12 years wait.

Without emotions, as it stands now atiku n obi ticket cant stop tinubu.

Don't b surprised it's south south n majority of northern big wigs will b the ones to fight d war for tinubu cos south west will definitely b out if power for good 16 years n they will only give their supports to those who support them now
Precisely. I want these emotional thinkers behind the wishful idea Atiku and Obi can use the PDP platform to defeat Tinubu to ask themselves why Atiku's so-called Fulani might in the PDP cannot get Wike expelled from the Party.

Wike is openly rebellious against the PDP, dictating to the Party and mocking it at will. He has told them to zone the Party 2027 ticket to the South or forget his support. He even told them he remains in the PDP but will work for Tinubu's 2027 re-election. Who does that except someone 100% cocksure of his irreplaceable influence in the PDP?

Anybody who understands politics will know Atiku is finished in the PDP and that Wike talk and action is backed by the conviction he has real support in the Party that will neutralise anything Fulani imperialists like Atiku, Bala Mohammed, Tambuwal etal wish to bring.

Atiku cannot get PDP 2027 ticket let alone do so with Obi who humiliated the Party to seek his ambition with labour.

All Southerners , including George who is a sworn enemy of Tinubu, will simply leave PDP for the Fulanis if Atiku does not humble himself to show respect for what Southern leaders in the PDP want.

PDP Southern leaders are now determined to show Atiku the Party is greater than the desire of it's Northern members alone.

Obasanjo has told us that Atiku believes he can throw money at everything and get his ways. I am praying Obi accept to be his VP and sink with him in 2027.

Many politicians in office, with money, are waiting for Atiku and Obi. Dollar v dollar things bro. "Fck that we we can go M (millions) for M (millions)" thing. Central Cee and lil baby.

Atiku, bring your money. 2027. Others are ready.

Most realistic way
I'm no fan of Atiku by the way
But looking at Nigerian politics and how 2023 went, obi needs northern votes cos his Southern greedy politicians will all endorse tinubu for their pockets and safety. Only Atiku can bring the northern votes to the table so it's More of a symbiotic relationship right now.
They both need each other, no other way. He will be wise to deputize but with written public agreement with Atiku camp. This can also ensure Nigeria's growth if they do well first term, one of them likely Obi continues afterwards, that will be steady growth for Nigeria.

The reverse will be the case of Nigeria if tinubu is allowed to continue. 10+ yrs wasted on APC!
Lol. There is an army of very powerful and influential people, from North to South, against Atiku's ambition they consider selfish, divisive and disdainful of the South.

Are you blind to miss how the political might and money of the South South, to include even PDP SS Governors, is uniting behind Tinubu?

I am.hoping Obi listens to people like you so the charlatan is finished, once and for all, with Atiku's imperialist ambition that will be soundly repelled by all Nigerians in 2027.

Let Atiku and Obi start from the PDP where Bode George, Wike, Governor Makinde and many others are waiting for any Northerner to come and solicit for the PDP 2027 ticket.

You can spot the difference between an average SS and SE. While SS are positioning their regional interest for future political position and relevance, the only agenda of an average SE is for Tinubu to lose and one wonder how Tinubu loss will automatically translate to win for SE.

It is almost certain that SS will get the VP slot in APC in 2031 and eventually take the shot at presidency in 2039, majority SE especially the Obidients are constituting clog in the wheel of potential candidates from SE such as Bianca, Umahi and Soludo.

They are using traders mentality of short term gain to deny themselves of a bigger gain at the right time. This is what hatred and jealousy is about to caused a major tribe
Precisely ....and another incisive post BTW. Only one ethnic group have the infamous reputation of playing politics of hate and bitterness always that has self-destructively left them worse off since documented history of Nigeria began.

What is the gains for the SS pitching tent with Atiku when the folks of the South South, because the region is full of more critical and pragmatic thinkers than those from the SE, realise that their political profile, sagacity and prestige is growing ?

Meaning they can even produce VP to a Northerner in 2031 under a ticket that would be viewed a legitimate North Presidency and South VP in the eyes of all equitable stakeholders bar the likes of Atiku with no respect or interest for what is fair and can strengthen the already very fragile unity of Nigeria.

Beyond that point, the South South is then in the strong position to produce the 2039 President of Nigeria while the hateful lot continue to fight others to a standstill and to their own detriment.

As you conclude, politics of hate, that only seriously damage the practitioner, will always remain the problem of the SE lot.

God bless you. Exactly what I cited above when I said political leaders of the South South, where GEJ is from, have firmly pitched tent with Tinubu.

Whereas some.continue to cry more than the bereaved because hate for the "Yoruba Givernment" has blinded them to the much bigger issue most normal and well-calibrated can see.

Must South South folks, from the most influential political leaders to even the likes of Tompolo, will back Tinubu because they do not have damaged minds that will make them miss the distasteful act of imperialism and disdain Atiku wants to foist on all Nigerians as if we are slaves of the North.

In truth, most decent and ambitious Northern leaders are not supportive of Atiku's ambition they view as dishonrable and desperate. 2027, if Atiku does not step down for a Southerner, will prove how much many are against his ambition with the humiliating defeat he will suffer.

2026 ,when the PDP primaries will take place, will not be the joke Northern dollarised conspiracy that muscled Wike out.

Infuential Southerners in the PDP, from Bode George to Governor Makinde who wants the PDP Presidential ticket himslef, will be fully ready to frustrate Atiku and ensure the Party's ticket goes to a southerner because they know failure to achieve that is the end of the PDP.

I accurately predicted all we saw in 2023. From APC primaries to Tinubu going all the way. Atiku will be finished in 2027 and myopically unintelligent Obi can go down with him if he wants.

Op and his fellow anti-Atiku did not remember Southern unity and indigenous Northerners when some people queue behind Buhari against Jonathan. The same cane the North used against GEJ is still in the ceiling to be used against Tinubu.
Stoo flogging a dead horse. Only emotional people, more given to sentiments than logical thinking that brings success, will keep revisiting what is ancient history in political terms. Have you never heard the saying "a week is a long time in politics"?

Pragmatic thinking and machinations defeated GEJ. Same will play out with Atiku and Obi.

Most ambitious Northern leaders currently in office, and with Presidential ambitions, which will be virtually all of them , know the simple mathematical consequence ls of abetting Atiku's ambition.

Atiku is not a man of his word. If he wins in 2027 then all critical thinking observers, conversant with his antecedent, know he will be in power for 8 years. After which the noise for Southern Presidency will be unbearable and the North must accede to it.

This means Northern leaders currently eyeing the Presidency must wait 16 years when it could be only four if they help Tinubu remain till 2031 after which they can contest in what would be the legitimate slot of the North.

With Obi, what is the mathematical advantage of any ambitious Northern hawks helping him? If he wins the next Presidential election then he may remain in office from 2027 to 2035.

8 years ambitious Northern leaders have to wait when they can simply do all in their power to help Tinubu get a second term and leave in 2031 so power return to the North meaning they could be the beneficiary of that arrangement that would be seen the most legitimate in th eyes of all stakeholders.

Keep talking emotionally but watch closely what South South political leaders, from the region of GEJ your people remain besothed with, are doing.

They are showing a far greater political maturity focus on the bigger picture and dedication to a much more important permanent political interest than what the sole Yorubas-hating region in the South remain interested in above everything else. I.e politics of hate, vindictiveness and the lust for vendetta against others.

Just the way he appointed Wike a SS man as FCT Minister and heaven didn't fall that's how he will handover to a NC man
Let them keep seeing "Yoruba hands" in everything. As if politicians are like ordinary Nigerians.

It seems we need to remind some people, for the umpteenth time, that politics is about permanent interest.

There is no Northerner in political office, who is ambitious and eyeing greater office in future, who will support the ambition of Atiku they know will change the dynamics negatively for many of them forever.

Aside the vindictive and vendetta-motivated SE, it is obvious the South is already uniting against a Northern/Fulani 2027 Presidency.

Wike has insisted PDP must zone Presidency slot of the party to the South. That alone will stop Atiku using the PDP platform because the Party will be more motivates to stop him this time around.

Many SS politicians, to include Governors, with much more to come, are defecting to APC daily and many directly and fralessly cite that their action is motivates by the belief Tinubu must complete 8 years on behalf of the South for the sake of equity.

With this steel-like determination forming in the hearts of Southern politicians in office and with influence, bar those from the SE who only see Igbo Presidency above everything else, which wise and ambitious Northern politician will not think it expedient to help Tinubu remain in office?

The logic is very simple to ambitious Northern politicians, especially Governors in office currently.

Help the incumbent complete what is the legitimate 8 years term of the South, after the South and especially Tinubu's SW helped Buhari achieve same, so that when it is the legitimate turn of the North in 2031 they will gain the full support and backing of the South for their Presidential ambition.

I am.not telling anyone I support or condemn anything. Just pointing out how politicians, always focused on their permanent interest, will presictably think and behave.

Same played out in 2023 and all elections prior.

Stop deluding yourself because ethnic bigotry against Yorubas has damaged your mind. We have been down this road before.

If you think influential politicians in office, like Governors and co, will not have a say in the outcome of 2027 election then you are being hatefullly and ignorantly emotional.

Governor Bago of Niger State and other young Turks, for example, won't do "abobaku" for the ambition of 'ancient' Atiku they believe should have left the stage for them ages ago.

Most ambitious Northern Governers , in their first or second term, with eyes on the biggest office in Nigeria, will not support Atiku's 2027 ambition.

Even Northern leaders, in office and eyeing greater office, who do not like Tinubu will do what they must to make him win because they know Atiku is attempting to take the slot of the South which will cause problems for their chances of being President in future.

They would rather support Tinubu, to complete the 8 years on behalf of the South as Buhari did for the North, so that Tinubu endorses one of them and use the power of incumbency to help them succeed him.

This same thing played out under Buhari when, despite the best effort of Northern hawks to retain power in the North, many influential Northern politicians backed Tinubu with there voice, endorsement and resources because of profit they hope to reap in future doing so. Wike is an example too.

Many of those Northern leaders who helped Tinubu in 2022 are still in office, powerful and hungry. Their agenda has not changed. It is still "help Tinubu complete eight years on behalf of the North so he will annoint me when it is the legitimate turn of the North in 2031".

No ambitious and influential Northerner will help the ambition of Atiku they see as a dishonorable usurper who lives in Dubai, and does not give a toss about Nigeria, yet wants to truncate an unspoken agreement that has kept a fragile peace in a highly disunited and currently trouble nation.

Atiku wants to take Nigeria into dangerous and uncharted territory No politician, aiming for higher, will follow him there.

They did not follow Northern hawks there in 2022 when they wanted Lawan, former senate President, to be APC candidate. Northern political leaders made sure it did not happen. They backed Tinubu resoundingly.

Many even spoke openly about how Buhari and co wanted to make the North appear dishonorable in the eyes of other Nigerians to then ruin the future of the younger generation of Northern politicians while Buhari and co had nothing to lose because they were old and outgoing.

Who is foolish enough to not understand same thinking will apply to Atiku? I.e old and outgoing yet wants to damage the future of the younger generation, like Bago etal for his selfish, divisive and toxic ambition?

At State level, tribalism is reduced and the perpetrators of illegal actions can be easily identified, especially when they are from the State
Indeed Sir. 'One Nigeria' just means Nigerians fighting themselves to a standstill, to the detriment of national progress and development, because we cannot agree on anything due to ethnic, religious, cultural and socio-economic differences.

For example, I am faiirly sure all Southern Governors will vote for the execution or jailing for life of terrorists and bandits who have killed.

Whereas most Northern Governors would vote for their "rehabilitation " through granting of amnesty to "de-radicalise" them and aid their "re-absorbtion" into society when such is not done in sane nations of the world.

Look below at the sordid list of nations Nigeria joins as one of the few nations making efforts at "rehabiliating" terrorists. Would we be on the list if Southern Nigeria was a different nation to the North?

We all know what is behind the position of Northern leaders. While Southerners view murderers and killers as deserving death also, Northern leaders, because of ethnic and religious affiliation with the killers that they cannot rise above, will plead rehabilitation for "misguided brothers" that were "failed by Society" according to Sheik Gumi and his ilk.

To me, the 2027 Presidency is not what we should really be fighting for or Hung up about given the reality of our nation that pretends to be one yet is a comgregation of strange bedfellows, with contrasting views about life, who secretly hate and despise each other.

We should be agitating seriously and uncompromisingly for people with homogeneity of socio-economic ideals to go and lead themselves at regional level.

This is why some of us insist on regional Governance. We know, very well that 'One Nigeria' is just another term for the retention of all that is bad, regressive and anti-development about our nation.

Do you know, as an example, how much the RRS (rapid response squard) does towards ensuring Lagos, despite her huge population, remains one of the safest States of Nigeria?

First time you have delivered a factually relevant post. The garish bolded red font has to go though. Those who live in Lekki and truly love Lagos, as I do, know you are correct.

I dabble in property development and I can only say the property development supervisory regulation for the Lekki area is highly irresponsible, dangerous and compromised by inhuman greed.

There is no respect at all for the ecological and geographical challenges of Lekki that strict planning permission must always move uncompromisingly to effectively supervise so as to plan for the long-term safety of the land and people of the area.

Many man-made problems currently trouble Lekki from issues related to negligent human practices leading to avoidable flooding, irresponsible conduct raising the risk of coastal erosion, poor disposal of waste and even disease proliferation from human consumption, accidental or otherwise, of contaminated water. Plus much more.

The area is a huge and unsupervised mess with greed been the grand commander of the Orchestra.

The best place to live in Lagos, for many reasons, is Ikeja GRA if one can afford it.
