haffaze777:You will wait forever. Do you think Peter Obi even understands what comes out of his own mouth ? The man will say anything, however daft, to demonize the Government of the day with hopes he can profit politically from those asinine utterences. |
Lol. Obi is not at ease if he does not deliver at least one asinine and unintelligent utterance per day. Obi thinks all Nigerians have thrown their brains in the bin like his beloved Obidients .😁😅
|
Cheapgadget:Lol. So you think Akpabio supports the havoc Boko Haram.is wreaking on Nigeria or you believe there are solutions in his power that he is not delivering? Most of you just have this blanket hatred of all in Government that's is so ignorant and misguided. I suggested you, OP, who is always biased, and others Google "fighting Boko Haram is a fight against radicalism and fundamentalism" Yiu will see many knowledgeable and informative PDF research papers on the topic that could help you understand what the underpinning problems are that would then allow you note posssible solution. At the top you'll see what is shown below. Must of you simplistically think Boko Haram , start to finish, means Western education must be abolished. No. Boko Haram also want an end to secular governance/societies and the establishment of an Islamic nation governed by Sharia. You people should now tell me how many Northern leaders at all level (to include political, Armed forces intelligence gathering, religious and cultural leaders) do not broadly support the bolded aspect, shown above, of Boko Haram's agitation. Even to the extent they could reluctantly or happily ignore the extreme violence of Boko Haram to then begin abetting the struggle of the group. Look at attempt at introduction of Sharia into the SW that Northern leaders , the most in Nigeria, were so vehemently insistent on. The clue for you and others is to note that the establishment of Sharia is further erosion of secular governance and societies which is one of the major aim that Boko Haram, which has formed itself into a Putsch against the official government, is trying to achieve. Sharia is not needed in a secular nation or society where all it's members, whatever their gender or religion, agree to live under the laws of the competent Courts and legal system of the land. I wish you all the best in your simplistic hatred of all leaders and the delusion that boots on the ground will wipe out fundamentalist indoctrination unescapable for many Northerners.
|
Danabu:All of you have said the same.thing on this thread because Nigerians know how to curse and insult well but not to think critically, note what needs to be noted and then see the way out which does not fall on leadership at the Federal level alone. No war against Boko Haram is going to be won anytime soon as long as many, from customs and border immigration to the army plus ordinary Northerners and even influential politicians in office, have sympathy for terrorists enough to abet their agitation. The government is fighting fundamentalism that has permeated all levels of life and society in the North and even the USA, with myriads of technology and might, has not won that type of war. Insurgents can be subdued but they rise again, as we have seen over the years, with Boko Haram when support on ground for them is considerable. When FG put boots on the ground, they are fnot only fghting terrorist but also fundamtalist radicalisation messages been disemminated by literally thousands of clerics daily. Take the cleric who demanded Remi Tinubu be killed because she is "leader" of Infidel Christian. What message will he have for young Northerners if asked whether Boko Haram is good or not or whether their violent struggle is just or evil? Is to easy for Tinubu to use force to defeat that powerful 'recruitment officer', I.e radical indoctrination, for Boko Haram that keeps it in manpower steadily? I wonder what most of you think GEJ meant when he lamented that Boko Haram has penetrated all levels of his government. Was he talking about the uneducated killer from Nigeria Republic, Chad or Mali or does he mean people who sit with him in security meetings but are Boko Haram in spirit? No physical effort of Government, especially one led by a southerner, that will not be circumvented in a struggle that has so many on the ground ideologically in support of terrorists in the North they see as "soldiers" fighting the "just" fight for the "just" cause. When all of you are ready to think deeper, rather than just curse leaders, in competition over who has the most 'bad mouth' then the solutions, short and long term, because it has to be both, may be obvious to you. |
MufasaLion:Long overdue and the only permanent solution for Nigeria's insecurity woes. |
Zionmdde:Aren't you and the OP you are attacking saying the same thing? I.e the coalition cannot depose Tinubu? Who do you think he is labeling three cowards if not likely Atiku, Obi and El rufai? Doesn't his last paragraph, quoted below, make it obvious to you the Party he supports? Did you also notice that they chose ADC and it sounds a lot like APC because they know that APC is still very popular despite their bitterly fierce opposition |
MufasaLion:Amotekun showing what regional policing will be about. |
kasimshafii:Don't you mean the talkative? |
favour32:Precisely. Sensible Southern leaders are coalescing behind a strong Southern President while sensible Northerners know it is wise to simply ensure the South have their 8 years through Tinubu. They will reason that better that option than involve themselves in Atiku's toxic and divisive ambition no one can predict the outcome of for Nigeria. Especially a Nigeria with very fragile unity currently and a hugely toxic, chasm-level North-South dichotomy that needs wise heads and wise decision to prevent from becoming a huge disaster for Nigeria. |
Bobloco:I know that. Don't you see the obvious? They will all keep working and aiding Tinubu in hope they will be the chosen one. When Champions League begin, many teams feel they can win it even though only one team will. It does not stop all ambitious team working as hard as possible till eliminated. |
Bobloco:You don't seem to get one thing. Politics is about permanent interests. Many Northerners, in political office, are confident they can be President in 2031. They worked for Tinubu to emerge President in 2023 with eyes on 2031. They will do also work for Tinubu in 2027 because of personal ambition they have invested in with their financial and mobilisation support from 2022. Those sort will have no interest in Atiku's project over their own ambition they have been preparing the ground for since 2022. Besides, let's see Atiku and Obi get PDP 2027 ticket first because I am pretty sure Southerners won't 'simp' for Atiku and his brethren, like Tambuwal etal, in 2026, when the PDP primaries is to be contested, as they did in 2022. A lot of things Atiku got away with was because Buhari, his fellow Fulani, was in power. That is not the case now. Southern PDP members will be very rebellious against Atiku's desire to secure the Party's ticket and it will be a much fairer fight this time favoring Southern hawks like Bode George and Governor Makinde etal. |
franchasng:Don't you have any shame or mainly uprightness? Admit you spoke out of turn as a proper man would and move on. All this garbage about Atiku loves Igbo with his heart is pathetic. You know him personally to know his heart ba? You also know Tinubu to know he is, according to you, "dashing Monkey Banana" and did not employ Igbos into his cabinet because he genuinely has regard for them abi? |
Ttalk:They just pull stuff out of thin air. While at it, he should explain precisely what made him conclude Atiku loves Igbos. Never heard such shamelessly brazen distortion of factual reality, that we all lived through, in my life before. |
Jokay07:No one is fooled by Atiku's pledge to do one term. Everyone knows he'll say and do anything to be President. Once President nothing and no one can force him to keep to any pledge. Especially not a cowardly weakling like Obi who has no political sagacity or influential political machinery behind him Northern leaders with eyes on the Presidency in 2031, don't care what Atiku says or do. They will have firmly resolved to help Tinubu conlude his two terms by 2031 so they have a dispute-free shot at becoming President after PBAT and with the full backing of the incumbent too. |
Bobloco:Rubbish. It is on record Bode Geprge, Ayo Fayose, Governor Makinde etal insisted uncompromisingly that PDP 2023 ticket must go to the South yet Atiku used his dollars to influence the outcome. You people lie shamelessly and it is tragic. To support a cause or corner does not mean you use kokokoro lies to prop up your position. That is Bode George, a PDP chieftain from the South, speaking in 2022 before the PDP primaries. Stop lying to whitwash Atiku's image because you have all now accepted the compromise of Obi running as his VP in 2027. If Atiku loves Igbos that much, did he have to wait for the PDP ticket to expressly be announced as "for Southerners only" before he did the right thing on behalf of deserving Igbos when many had warned Northerners off? Keep dribbling yourself.
|
franchasng:Wow. We have heard it all. Atiku loves Igbos and Tinubu does not? Atiku's "love" for Igbos could not extend to him conceding the 2023 PDP Presidential ticket to Igbos who had been the most loyal servants of PDP for 23 years as at the time the PDP primaries toook place in 2022? Men, the hate you guys have for Yorubas, that see you tell wild lies against them, na follow come from the womb. |
jattopeter:God bless you. When will Southerners, if not through their powerful leaders, begin to show Northerners the bolded in your post if not now and under Tinubu? Power must remain in the South till 2031. As simple as that. They can keep forming their coalition that will morph into collision and, ultimately, collapse |
Igirigimercenar:Keep obsessing about Yorubas and mentioning them 24/7 while feigning ignorance for the political revolution going on in the SS that shows the region has now become far more pragmatically intelligent and politically sophisticated than yours. The simple thinking of your kind is that "as long as Tinubu and Yoruba Government lose in 2027, then I am okay". Whereas the SS are now showing deliberate mind-over-matter consciousness and making chess-like calculated political decision they know will serve their immediate and future permanent interest well as a region. |
KennethOkonkwo:Indeed. Childish and tribalistic propaganda for that matter. |
onuman:100% correct. |
Rebelutionary:You are 100% correct. Look at one asking me above that what "what did Atiku do" and claiming dubiously that it is Atiku's right to contest? Is Atiku's right to contest the PDP primaries in dispute here since we all know that is what politically correct literature will present for the world to read? Yet, pragmatically intelligent Nigerians know the reality of our nation and our past murderous struggle over ethnic power grab, bloody "Igbo coup" and even bloodier Northern retaliation for example, to understand what we must not risk again unless Nigeria has agreed to part Amicably. As long as we remain a nation then alll proper and sincere leaders who mean well for Nigeria should not hide behind the politically correct statement that "everyone can contest" to refuse sacrificing for the greater good of Nigeria's peace, unity and security. When leaders put personal ambition above what is best for Nigeria then our nation, with a currently very fragile unity, is moving towards Rwanda genocide madness. If the South respected the right of the North to do 8 years, then what manner of dishonorable and born-to-rule desperation is forcing Atiku's divisive ambition When he knows such could have grave consequences as George warns below vehemently? Southerners supporting Atiku are doing it out of nothing but hatred for Tinubu and Yorubas. Their mindset is that let the devil take over in 2027 and let Nigeria burn than for Tinubu and "Yoruba Government" to continue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaoYxsfiY28?si=FAK_rCi0XEagfJV_ |
ogascomax:Okay. Watch the video, that echo's the opinion of majority of Southerners in the PDP too scared to loud it as George does, to know what Atiku "do". Perhaps not to you, but in life, the reality is that fair is fair to many human beings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaoYxsfiY28?si=FAK_rCi0XEagfJV_ |
IkePeters:100% correct. Atiku's inordinate and divisive ambition, a slap in the face of PDP members from the South, is currently the biggest recruitment officer for the APC and Bode George warned about all we are seeing currently. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaoYxsfiY28?si=FAK_rCi0XEagfJV_ https://www.google.com/amp/s/businessday.ng/politics/article/pdp-will-come-to-an-end-if-atiku-gets-presidential-ticket-says-bode-george/%3famp

Igirigimercenar:You are sentimental and therefore cannot see the big picture as I warned some, in 2022, that they too did not shun emotions and sentiments to discern. Thinking that the North, at least her influential political leaders anyway, are behind disgruntled elements, like El Rufai, Malami and Hajiya Nàja'atu Mohammed etal, or desperate born-to-rule hawks, Atiku, Bala Mohammed and Tambuwal etal, is myopic and misguided. This is Atiku and El Rufai etal v the South. Not North V South. Beyond men, who will die or fade into irrelevance like Buhari and OBJ, life must still go on for others. All ambitious Northern politicians, with eyes on higher future office, will not make 'abobaku' sacrifice for Atiku and El Rufai's selfish desires when they have their own permanent interest to protect. They are looking at their own future and ambitions and will not support what puts that at risk. For example, A Northern Governor in office currently who believes he has a chance to be President in 2031, when it will be the rightful slot of the North, will now put his his financial might and influence behind Atiku when doing that finishes his own ambition for 16 years i.e 8 years for Atiku and 8 years for the Southerner that will succeed him? Is it not better for him to support Tinubu to win in 2027 and then leverage on doing the President a favour in 2027 to be in a strong position to emerge as APC Northern Presidential candidate in 2031? |
arsenal33:Thank you. Soludo is "tribalistic" too. I just don't get the senseless obsession of some with going online to demonize Yorubas daily. It is okay to be hateful but do it in ways that shows you have not run mad because of hatred for others. How can anyone accuse Yorubas of tribalism.over the actions of Osun Senators who have only pledged support for Tinubu but have not left PDP or indicated they wish to leave. In contrast, SS PDP is in tatters now because several of it's prominent members in and out of political office have left for the APC or planning to defect to the APC. Okowa ans co are "tribalistic" for sure. Lol. The simple truth is that Fulani imperialism has muzzled the PDP and Southerners in the Party are now fighting back with Tinubu the beneficiary of that. https://www.google.com/amp/s/businessday.ng/politics/article/defections-stop-blaming-tinubu-for-your-woes-apc-chieftain-tells-opposition-parties/%3famp He further said, “How can the wave of defections to the ruling party lead to one party system when we still have more than 60 registered political parties in the country?
|
nairalanda1:Would it kill you if you go a day without trying to gaslight and demonize Yorubas with lies? So SS PDP members defecting to APC because they "want Preaident Tinubu to continue his good work" are tribalists also? How difficult is it for you to accept that others played their part honorable to respect an arrangement that maintain political peace and cordiality in a very divided and disunited nation yet Atiku and a few want to destroy that for their own born-to-rule ambitions? Yes Nigerian politicians are self-serving but many still have strong feelings about being, cheated, disrespected and treated as second class behind others. Has the South, especially SE, not served PDP loyalty for 26 years now for many Southerners in the Party to be angry and rebellious towards Atiku's ambition? Afterall Wike, after losing the PDP primaries to the scheming of Atiku and Tambuwal, announced that "I cannot be second class in my own nation". Who is not wise enough to know it was a warming Wike was determined to do everything to frustrate a Northerner becoming President? Was it then "tribalism " when he joined Tinubu's camp to ensure Atiku did not win? Even now Wike has insisted PDP must zone her 2027 ticket to the South. Is that "tribalism" also? |
Anijay1212:It's a choice Atiku and his fellow Fulanis made easy for Southern members of the PDP. All defecting PDP members , be they from the SS or SW and even SE, are saying precisely the same thing. I.e "we want President Tinubu to continue the good work he started". Loosely translated by intelligent folks, they are actually saying "we will resist Fulani imperialism and born-to-rule arrogance this time around". It is only the ordinary, vindictive and tribalistic folks who have the opinion that "If Obi can't defeat Tinubu in 2027 then let Fulani rule us". The politicians, who are stakeholders themselves, do not think like that at all. Their opinion is give unto Caesar (the South) what belongs to Caeser i.e continuation of a Southerner as 2027 President of Nigeria. Even ambitious Northern politicians, with eyes on the 2031 rightful turn of the North, do not want Atiku. Their ambition gains nothing from his 2027 win. Rather Atiku winning will wipe out the dreams of many of them for 16 years. As Northerners, they can't come out to speak against Atiku but I am sure they are behind Southerners, especially in the PDP, determined to resist Atiku's 2027 attempt to depose Tinubu. |
UAE123:Politicians are human beings too with feeling and emotions. The open rebellion of PDP members against the Party, especially from Southern members, may actually be driven by anger against the dishonorable conduct of Atiku and his fellow Fulanis against the wishes of Southerners in the Party rather than unruly or indisciplined behaviour. |
Obiedun:Simple as that. |
MightySparrow:Indeed. |
Mrexcell:Why should I mention Tinubu? He is President and will mandate constituted authority to do what must be done to ensure the safety of Zainab and her fair representation. The President cannot talk over every development. He simply has to act, to protect all Nigerians, as he has the power to. You can only indict him of wrongdoing if injustice is allowed to persecute and oppress Zainab. It is opposition who must show they are consistent fighting for what is right by condemning Nigerian leaders, like the Governor of Zamfara, who do not wish to respect the secularity of our nation enshrined in our constitution. In case you're not smart enough to realise it, I am taunting Atiku and Obi who play critics and opposition to government hypocritically, selectively and partisanly. They can come for Tinubu's jugular and claim Nigeria is turning into a fascist and dictatorial nation because of VDM's arrest, literally seconds after it happened at GTB, but both hypocrites will ignore commenting on Zainab's situation because the North, where they are both seeking considerable votes in 2027, is involved. Their effort at opposition politics is always opportunist, cynical and insincere. Distinctingly lacking goodwill real leaders show by always being available to tackle all problematic developments rather than those they feel improve their electoral fortunes. |
