This dishonorable Honorable even have mouth to address himself as honorable. What a shame. The apology is not from his heart, he should be prosecuted and be re-called by his constituency but then again, the man is an Ibo/Igbo man.
Exactly. It comes with the territory for those people. Even their father Chinua Achebe admitted to problems cause by the "overweening pride" of Igbos.

As the writer said what of if the customer is not healthy and he ordered that stuff because of his present condition? the delivery man need to be cautioned on how to be customer's friendly...
Rubbish. Someone who is unwell should make adequate plans for their own support that does not involve relying on total strangers.

Abi you want to turn delivery driver into nurse and carer also? In any case, there was even a gateman who should have simply accepted the delivery yet he direct the driver to take the delivery to the Rep. Power drunk household and set up. Go and see VDM interview with the uBer driver.

Are you Igbo? I ask because I know how those folks reason in a clannishly weird way to defendthe indefensiblewhen it comes to their own.

E.g "Buhari dead and replaced by Jubrin from Sudan" rumour all Igbos accepted out of slavish love for anything Kanu declares.

I could not defend him, even if my first reaction was to defend him, the reason is because I know how it felt to be disrespected, I have been there...usually by security guards, drivers etc. They know they will use their victims card
Please don't go there. Being "disrespected", which is even subjective to begin with, is no reason to commit the criminal.offence of assaulting others.

Many can argue that the driver did not disrespect the Member HOR and that he is merely a horrible and violently arrogant person.

Overall, I don't know why Nigerians have a problem respecting the most fundamental laws of society yet we moan daily that our Nation is not like the UK, USA etal.

Simple

That's why I wonder why he and the House of Assembly members keep saying they are waiting for police to complete their investigations
They want to give him a soft landing so he keeps his job. Majority in the political and elite class of Nigeria are like members of an evil cult who will protect each other in regards to even the most heinous crime possible I.e murder, rape etc.

Most Nigerians don't understand the aberration, in comparison to other nations of the world, the political and elite class have made of Nigeria.
Politics › Re: At What Age Is The Right Time To Come Back To Your Country After Japa by WizardOfNG:
guobe:
Alot of Nigerians have travelled out as in Japa to hustle and make things better for themselves especially now that T pain has messed up the country.
I have asked them if they intend coming back and most of them told me never will they come back to settle in Nigeria.
A close relative of mine who is aged and just came back from Canada told me that she can't stay in Canada because the cold there is too much that on the last day of her flight back to Nigeria she felt she won't survive as the cold that hit her was as if very hot pepper entered her body.
She told me that she does not even understand their hospital that during her stay in Canada you will barely even see Doctors as they will be communicating with you via WhatsApp call that unless it is emergency will they attend to you and if they even attend to you they will tell you no drugs for cold that you are okay.
My question is at what age should people that japa come back to Naija ?
To acclimatise and then begin to get the best out of Nigeria, I think no more than age 45 ideally. Coming back too old (over 60) means you may not have the energy or spirit to cope with Nigeria which remains a physically difficult and mentally challenging place.

Nothing. Charge him with assault. Convict and sentence him and then dismissal from HOR. That is what would happen in civilised climes.

Olodo that does not know uBer formal delivery policy talking about "upscale part of town" and "honourable" to defend an idiotic lawmaker who does not even have the decency to understand you cannot lay hands on others unprovoked because such is criminal and jailable conduct.

You arrogant, clannish and hateful people fully deserve the horrid state the SE is in today and I cannot wait for regional governance so the world can see the big and disorderly 'man pass man' mess you money-above-everything-else folks will turn the SE into.

Were this rep to be Yoruba, it will be 100% condemnation from all Yoruba plus the demand for justice for the uBer driver. Yet who is shocked at threads we are seeing, from Igbos, jumping to the senseless and clannish defence of this Agbero Rep?

Nonsense, the IPOB albino must pay for his crime. He must be suspended from the House of Representatives.
He should. It is assault pure and simple. Yet IPOB folks, including OP offering this lame defence for his brother, are arrogantly empty dullards.

Claim to be intelligent yet always arguing foolishly and arrogantly without facts. Below is uBer official delivery policy. Curbside is clear to all but the arrogant "do you know who I am" IPOB Alex Ikwechegh.

Yet the daft OPP is talking about "upscale part of the city" and "honorable member" as if those things should be greater than the policy provision of Uber. This is why I will always argue it anywhere that Nigerians are the problem and not the leader alone.

Leaders don't come from a different planet. They are from same homes, local government and society we all hail from.

Imagine if this OP, who sits here cursing others bigotedly all day and making excuses for the indefensible, becomes a political leader in future?

What kind of leadership will he deliver? For sure he will be be horrendously biased towards blind defense of his fellow Igbos to the detriment of other ethnic groups. You will find also that all who defend this horrid Ikwechegh character will be Igbo.

For me, because I don't fool myself, regionalism is the way forward. Let all go and lead themselves at regional level. We are just deceiving ourselves with "one Nigeria" fake unity crap.

package. NOTE: The package recipient should be available to meet the driver curbside. If you need to ask the driver to leave the package at the recipient's door, you must include those instructions as part of the special delivery instructions or in a message to the driver within the app. Uber does not maintain insurance for packages.

No doubting your ethnicity. You are definitely from the ethnic group that produces the most arrogant, most casually violent and most emptily pompous Nigerians to exist who are today killing themselves senselessly. They quarrel with and fight all others worldwide.

Unprovoked assault against others is a jailable offence in every sane nation of the world. Full stop. I would not expect lawless throwbacks to get that.

Like how can you drive to his house and ask him to come to the car to pick up his order?

I thought delivery people especially food, knocked on people's doors to give them their order?

I know Alex personally, he's very gentle and kind

The jealous driver would have provoked him to that level. The idiot deserved what he got
You call the driver an idiot but look in the mirror to see the real idiot. Some of you are so crude, you need your own isolated Island away from decent and normal folks.
Politics › Re: Bolt Delivery Driver - In Defense Of Hon. Alex Ikwechegh by WizardOfNG:

Many people are jumping to conclusion just based of off the snippet of the video posted by the Bolt delivery driver.

The Bolt driver was very disrespectful and lacks customer service. His demeanor shows he doesn't like his job and doesn't want to be there. He ordered the man to come outside and pick up his food. Hon. Ikwechegh said no, he needs to bring it inside, which is expected as that's why people use such delivery services and pay the extra delivery fees. What if Hon. Ikwechegh was sick and couldn't make it outside? This is what delivery service is for. Otherwise, it's meaningless. They can as well go outside and drive to the restaurant themselves.

Hon. Ikwechegh even called the restaurant asking what's going on as he couldn't understand why the driver is acting in this manner. If I were him, I would have asked him to return the food. Can't trust eating a food delivered by a driver having an attitude.

Yes, his actions were wrong but the bolt driver was very disrespectful to order a man that lives in an upscale part of the city and obviously an honorable member to come outside. If he had his security detail, they would dealt with him and rightfully so. Delivery driver is a customer service job, you have to do it respectfully.

It appears this could also be premeditated by the bolt driver, like he's been there before, perhaps, didn't like his tip and decided to set him up by acting disrespectfully.
There is something wrong with you walahi. You sound like a slave defending his master and oppressor.

What is this madness you are writing on behalf of someone who assaulted someone, an automatic jailable offence, and also bragged "I can make you disappear and nothing will happen" ?

Northerners should take responsibility and stop shouting Tinubu because it seems the North is determined to turn itself into worse than a war zone.

You could have found the info below, as I said before, if you are a Nigerian in the category of those who can provide solutions for our nation rather than add to the problem.

You have no sense. Do you know how easy it is to find out the cause of the problem before you start cursing our President?

You have your power distribution company customer service number, a Minister of power in place and a Senator for your constituency you can lobby for answers. Even your LGA chairman would have answers.

Yet you begin cursing Tinubu. Worthless 'agbero' Nigerians like you, with no useful intellect or solutions-provision skill, are the problem of Nigeria.

I know all bosses at EKECD department covering my area. EKECD is the distribution company that controls power in my area. I got their number from Google, as you can, and not through man know man'.

Today I am cordial with them and can get answers from them and even lobby for quick repair when major issues go wrong affecting my area alone without cursing Tinubu like an slowpoke.

You'd be surprised they do not even know things have gone wrong sometimes because many Nigerians do not have the skills to find their contact details and report issues. Yet those Nigerians, like you, will be shouting Tinubu.

If I really wanted to, I'd find out, within 10 minutes, the problem with power supply in Kaduna. Yet what is my business with Kaduna?

Look in the mirror to see the person responsible for your shitty and frustrated life. Stop acting like a caveman cursing Tinubu up and down as you would be cursing yourself attacking folks who may be innocent of what you are blaming them for.

No light since Thursday.
Kindly learn to write giving as much useful information as possible. State your area. That is the most relevant info you can give.

Doing so may allow power experts/workers here to give you information about you area i.e whether you have issues specific to your area like substation repair or other problems.

On Lagos Island, power is now back to a reliable 18 hours or more pattern since two days ago in my neighbourhood.

The north is punishing itself. Bandits and Boko Haram are produced by the north, not by south. They go on to destroy power lines. Who is to blame? The former power minister has stated that northerners were given contract to procure and install power equipment but they stole the money and never did anything. Who is to blame?
This is the unfortunate truth. The children that Northern leaders failed to educate and uplift , thus ruining their future, are now angry adults with AK47.

The North is a ticking time bomb for Nigeria because the leaders there (political, cultural and religious) are resistive to positive and progressive change.
