Tonididdyx:Some of you are just bitter, troublesome and quarrelsome people who always want to make everything about what is wrong/not working instead of looking at solutions being discussed on their individual merit . Let me ask you a question using the UK I know well. The japa lot can testify if I am right or wrong. When Nigerians, like Nnamdi Kanu, naturalize to become British citizen, do they get told to go and bring childhood photos, corrobarating friends and neighbour statements, UK school report etc as would apply to Nigerians born in the UK who want to get a first passport they are entitled to but have not obtained yet? Find the answer to that and you will see Nigeria and all nations work same. I.e naturalised Nigerian citizens have different rules , as must be the case, guiding the processs of them gaining a Nigerian passport to Nigerians born in Nigeria. It is a fairly simple concept for anyone to wrap their head round. The rules before both (naturalised Nigerians or Nigerians born in Nigeria) will take into account their unique and different situation for Nigerian passport issuance purpose. Stop causing drama over non-issues because you are frustrated, bitter, confrontational and always desperate to prove Nigeria is doing something wrong or failing. Learn to think and act like an adult. Discuss, in this case, the issue of security efficacy designed to prevent our passport ending up in the hands of evil and criminal-minded non-Nigerians who do not qualify to have our passport. Don't distract childishly with talk, irrelevant to the topic, just to satisfy your personal frustration and anger with life. |
seunayantokun:You get the big picture completely. Everthing has to be tried to cleanse our nation of foreign demons and keep them out. |
Tonididdyx:Is that relevant to discussion here? Bro, this is a security issue. Your security mainly, if you live in Nigeria. On the right thread it would be relevant to vent as much as possible about foreigners getting treated better in Nigeria if that is your main problem in life. |
onyxo76:If you've lived in Lagos all your life you claim Lagos State because you'd have primary school, secondary school, work record and perhaps even voters registration from Lagos State. Bonafide Nigerians with kids born abroad are getting dual citizenship Nigerian passport for their children no problem. This is not not targeted at legitimate Nigerians like you. If Nigeria was not so ethnically divided, with everyone always ready to play victim of 'unjust' persecution, then the Government would be more comfortable admitting what they are really doing. |
onyxo76:Nigeria is in a coded and unspoken state of emergency. Try and see the big picture and simply comply for the greater good. You will be able to prove you are Nigerian to a satsifactory level that will get you what you want. Trust me about that. You are not a target. It is those holding or wanting a Nigerian passport they are not entitled to and are in Nigeria or wish to enter our Nation, for nefarious and evil purposes, that are the target. The "new regime" they use is coded language to let well-meaning Nigerians understand this is a new Government that is putting a stop to 'the open door country' and 'destination for all' the previous regime encouraged to get Nigeria in the security mess she is in today. Farmers cant even farm to produce food for Nigeria because of how Nigeria is being overrun by evil foreigners. No security, no nothing. That should be clear to most Nigerians. In the new regime, part of the requirements for renewal of passports include provision of a National Identification Number, old passport number, birth certificate, and local government certificate of indigeneship. |
APOPTOSIS:Bro, you're flogging a dead horse. If they have legally naturalised it is obvious cognisance will be taken of this so that they are exempt from rules rigidly applied to Nigerians born and bred in our nation. That's how it works universally. |
bdon123:You're a Nigerian so you have nothing to worry about. Meeting inconvenient conditions, even though you're a bonafide Nigerians, also means you'd be helping to help Nigeria become safer. |
APOPTOSIS:Naturalization has rules. Your AA and white friends can't just wake and say they want to naturalize and become Nigerians. They have to meet conditions that allows for that. With foreign contractors securing citizens illegally, it is obvious these new measures are targeted at preventing them also from getting away with what they should not. I.e get a Nigerian Passport they are not entitled to. |
helinues:100% correct. Rather, it shows the progressive disposition of the Yorubas that has made them and the SW cumulatively who/what is best about Nigeria today. |
StOla:Precisely, even in my daily 'waka' I come across many Non-Nigerians who brag that the Nigerian passport is the easiest for anyone, from anywhere at all, to collect in Africa. We know why they did it , i.e abet so many Non-Nigerians to become Nigerians easily, but this is an example of the serious and deliberately man-made challenges the current government is facing and doing well to try and reverse. |
Brendaniel:Rubbish talk. Just confess you are ignorant and dont even know what exclusive list is let alone understand power supply, in it's entirety, is now off the FG exclusive list meaning States have full and comprehensive control over it. Go to Aso rock and hold banner while your Governor is having a field day sleeping with all the women in your state . He deserves to do that when all your indigenes are shouting Tinubu every second and ignoring the incompetent buffoon you lot are giving holiday pay 365 day a year yet still tasking Tinubu and the FG to come and do what your Governor is supposed to but will not. |
AsabaPropertyAg:Can that argument be applied to the case of Nigeria where we should really be in a security State of emergency, because of serious terrorist threats everywhere, with so many non-Nigerians allowed to infiltrate our country to become enemies-within? Nothing like too much ID for our unique and very dangerous situation that needs serious overhaul. Many non-Nigerians who mean Nigerians harm are in Nigeria and holding Nigerian passports. We can now only contain those but very serious scrutiny of new passport to be issued is in order and the way to go. It will stop more evil beings gaining Nigerian citizenship but I am personally more worried about those already here and criminally active or lying low as 'sleeper cells'. |
AllenSpencer:Probably not so much about renewal and more about new passport that NIN now secures. We all know many consistently argued that NIN supervision, under Buhari, was to grant Nigerian citizenship cheaply and easily to many who should never have had access to it. Too late now IMO. |
Brendaniel:When will you people stop this show of illiteracy and ignorance? Even the other day someone started a thread about why Nigerians only know to shout President and FG for everything. Power is now fully deregulated. Let everyone go and face their governors about plans for adequate electricity and leave Mr.President and FG to focus on thing in exclusive list States cannot touch. Learn to go to your Senators, Reps, LG chairmen and Governors more for things that fall in their purview instead of shouting at the President and FG always. Bad followers have no right to good leadership. |

GenSpecifics:You have been brilliant on this thread highlighting, with erudition and historical facts, the extent of Igbo’s ruthless , murderous and rapacious zeal for fascist colonization, oppression and outright enslavement of others . Even today, it is clear it is the natural hatred they have for not being in control and charge of everything/everyone mainly behind their unrelenting and ridiculously unobjective attacks against the Tinubu government. Only the abolishment of ‘one Nigeria’ will permanently rid Nigeria of the menace of Igbos stemming from their genetic obsession with dominating and enslaving others as if a messianic ethnic group or master race. Hitler is an apprentice of lunatic ethno-racial supremacist chauvinism and posturing in comparison to Igbos |
GenSpecifics:There will never be redemption for Igbos until they accept and atone for their own failings and wrongdoings. Till then, Igbos will continue to reel from one major disaster to another with the latest being how they have now turned their own SE into a might-is-right terror enclave that cannot be turned around in the foreseable future. Same as how Fulani herders who used to earn pittance are not going back to that anytime soon now they have been armed.with AK47 and making multi-millions kidnapping Nigerians and terrrorising/blackmailing our agricultural sectors. |
Raskimonojendor:Precisely. Highly duplicitous and deceptive people. |
alanto:Precisely. They are alway the innocent victims while others are the wicked oppressor and scheming perpetrators. Not taking responsibility for his actions is the biggest flaw in the Igbo man that has always gotten him into trouble and will continue to do so indefinitely. |
BoldBrainz:Typical mischief-maker trying to put words into the mouth of others. The very simple point even a child can fathom is that taking responsibility for the repercussion of our actions, rather than play innocent victims afterwards, is what mature, responsible and upright adults do. Dont cause problems for yourself to then play victim and cry at the punishment others deem fit to apply to your wrongful actions. That is what Igbos do and it is sad they have done same for more than six decades now with no indication they will ever change or be more responsible in conduct. When you claim victimisation over every wrong, without looking at yourself, you only become more aberrant over time. |
Dalohad:Stop making a fool of yourselves and, most importantly, Nigerians by extension. That's the simple message. Below, they wrote "to Nigerians" making it seem we are all identity-lacking and desperate beggars. No way for us to tell them Yorubas don't do this type of sh1t otherwise we would.
|
gidgiddy:IPOB lout, go and roast some human rump or thigh from your latest ‘hunting expedition’ . I don’t have your time. |
Malroux:🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅 |
gidgiddy:Pained IPOB. Always making redundant noise. |
ElSudani:They may not like the truth but Omokri is merely saying, because of their nature and character, the Yorubas will never have an Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa or Bello Turji etal. Not possible. Those who would do better emulating the Yorubas, rather than arguing blindly against the plain and factual truth, can continue to object and make noise because they react to the unease of thinking Omokri is proclaiming the Yorubas superior to them. It is the reason their lives and societies will only get worse because there are always good example, whoever such may come from, we can and should follow in life. |
Raskimonojendor:Let them keep lying to themselves in attempt to keep up a discredited facade in the eyes of the world. When Igbos are talking privately and truthfully to themselves, you will know many even feel safest and most secure within Yoruba land and they have no qualms admitting it is because of how Yorubas are in comparison to others including their own fellow Igbos. The apologists can remain here trying to turn stone to water. We all know the truth. If, for example, you ask Nigerians who sanctity of life matters to the most out of Yorubas, Igbos and Fulanis then only con artists from the three ethnic groups will provide an answer other than Yorubas. That is what Omokri is saying. It isn’t open to argument because we have evidence. We see how Igbos support and fete their killer terrorists while the North mollycoddles and ‘rehabilitate’ theirs whereas Yorubas have just shown zero tolerance for mere secessionists who have not even killed anyone. Truth is bitter but the man in search of enlightenment and betterment embraces it. |
OfoIgbo:lol. You guys are such clowns. How do you think what you’re doing appears to secure and well-balanced folks? It resembles a shameless man continuously begging to be with a woman who has rejected him publicly and makes it clear she is not interested in his attention. Yet the pathetic fool, like Igbos, continues to belittle himself trying to force affiliation on someone who has rejected it. Una no get shame and una go explain tire because what I wrote above is what most perceive of you and it is the worst way to view anyone. I don’t know what else remains when someone you want desperately announces publicly they don’t want you. |
AfonjaConehead:Dullard. I love ridiculing and taunting you irritants because you never stop beefing Yorubas you feel inferior to. That is very different to taking you jokers seriously. No one does. You’re a disgraceful big-for-nothing ethnic group I enjoy winding up and belittling. |
proeast:Bro, abeg bounce. Can't read your trash. Argue with the Jews themselves who utilised sound evidence to proclaim you Igbos are not their genealogical relatives. Get a life and go and drag those who have denied you rather than come here to foam at the mouth against Nigerians secure in themselves and their own identity.
