RoyalUc:Yes and 100%. OBJ too is a failure in my eyes. They have all failed in my opinion because those advanced in their 'ruminations' over the problems of Nigeria, and the soultions required, knows that every President not committed to teaching Nigeria/Nigerians to fish is a potential failure. A President simply arriving to give Nigerians fish (subsidy in various forms) to quell temporary hunger only worsens the problem because Nigerians will forever remain poor, deprived and hungry if they are not given the capacity to fish for themselves to then become a pivotal part of the solution our Nation needs to attain and sustain greatness. A child that is starved of education will only and predictablly become an adult that is unskilled, worthless, unproductive and incapable of providing solutions as his educated peers worldwide who have used their knowledge of catching fish independently for themselves to develop great nations. The challenge for any well-meaning and determined Nigerian President is therefore mentally tasking because of what his predecessors have left behind. The choice (a) is to abide with the same discredited structure previous Presidents sustained that only provides barely adequate fish, at most, yet keep most Nigerians so poor they can never dream of buying a home or car, or even earning living wages, as obtains elsewhere worldwide. Or (b) initiate the process to teach Nigerians to fish, painful in the short term, that will ensure Nigeria moves rapidly and sustainably towards being a developed nation of the world with a happier, wealthier, more productive, better eudcated/skilled, more innovative, more driven, more fulfilled and more mentally/physically healthier populace. All Presidents since 1999 have chosen option A and are therefore failures to me. Tinubu is trying to go with option B. While I can understand the pain his choice is causing for Nigerians, I also know we are 100% doomed continuing as others had run Nigeria before Tinubu. My belief is that it is okay to make some personal sacrifices and give him two years at least to try and implement his own ideas , since others before him have failed over 8 and 5 years, rather than for us to reject and frustrate reforms that may be painful today but will truly liberate and empower the human resources and economy of Nigeria sustainably and for good as we see with developed Countries. |
CheapHomes1:Sinple. Private security gaurd database, especially if biometric, can aid the introduction and delivery of a brand new and efficient private security sector for Nigeria that can host the capacity to go on to be a hugely complementary addition to the efforts of our Police force. Good and robust biometric-enabled DBM (database management) can underpin the inauguration of a totally new, well-trained and very competent private security sector in Nigeria. Meaning we gain a private security sector , far more motivated and less corrupt than the NPF can ever be, that will work efficiently as similar models do wordlwide with good DBM impacting positively on robust and specific training, performance monitoring, job efficacy and of course quick detection and removal of incompetence/gross misconduct or abuse of office. Nigeria's security challenges has become more complex in the past two decades yet, for the obvious reasons of corruption and nefarious vested interest, long identified solutions, like State/regional policing, have not arrived as they should. Anyone who does not undersrand that Nigeria's security challenges has forever overwhelmed and moved beyond the capacity of our current NPF structure is delusional. |
Johncuppa:Tinubu is not mentioned in the article and it is clear the author is talking about general leadership failure over the past 25 years. You can use another thread to relevantly indict Tinubu of whatever you wish but dont hijack one he is not mentioned in, or the subject of, to be bashing him while you ignore the point the author of the article has made. This is a problem for Nigeria today. I.e an electorate too emotionally engrossed in the hatred of individuals and personalities to ever see the big picture. The article author even makes this point by arguing most elected Nigerian leaders , which include the Governors and Senators you put in office, have failed over 25 years. Yet some only know to mention Tinubu everytime and everywhere as if he is an omnipresent force present and active at all State, local government, Ministerial and legislative constituencies of the entire Nation with Governors, local government chairmen, Ministers, Reps and Senators having no responsibility at all. |
Hanndye:Please where did you wicked and naturally ungodly people see Tinubu in the article? The author makes it clear he is talking of an extended period over 25 years, in General, and from 2015, when Buhari took over as APC President, yet you creatures of hate are busy shouting Tinubu's name. Is it Tinubu alone who, as author claims, has "elected governments, virtually at all levels, performing worse than military rulers" for 25 years now? An article about the historical failing of Nigeria's leadership, taking in all past leaders, you irredeemable creatures of hate now hijack to dishonestly make to be about Tinubu alone when he is not mentioned anywhere in the article yet Buhari is. It is you guys who are the true enemies of Nigeria. Your 'good governance advocacy' pretence fools no one and does little to hide the reality you are only about bigoted and ethno-religious hatred of others. “The worst part of it is that we have elected governments, virtually at all levels, performing worse than military rulers. Although theories of democracy and politics have unquestionably proven that elected leaders will be more accountable, 25 years of democratic rule in Nigeria is yet to produce leaders that are predisposed to accommodating the interests of citizens. |
CheapHomes1:Stop being obtuse. Nigeria has to change for the better as we have hit absolute rock bottom and even constitute a Sabotaging menace to each other. We all know those sponsoring terror and at the same time using their influence to ensure our security forces does not improve enough or adopt different models (State/regional policing for example) to gain the capacity to fight insecurity. This means new thinking, new innovation and, most importantly, the adoption of new model security parastatals and forces to combat a very troublesome and unique problem hosting a big element of internal sabotage. Yes Nigeria is not the USA but we need to be more like her if we want to improve security and thrive. USA has had State Policing and private armed security guards for ages. Those are even more important for a very ethnically, religiously, culturally, ideologically and geographically diverse Nigeria that has badly needed those development decades ago even from the time of OBJ. Nigeria has failed to move with the times , the rest of the world and best global practices. That is our major problem as a nation and the reason all problems keep overwhelming us Nigeria needs to adapt innovatively to face challenges or more of us will dies , with our nation continuing to stagnate economically, while the sponsors of insecurity and forces of regression will keep winning. Nigeria is today in a situation of light battling darkness. If forces of light does not get more innovative then it loses to to forces of darkness. As simple as that. If a choice, I welcome and would even use USA-style Private Security in the SW asap. You can do what you want in your region. |
CheapHomes1:They’re not talking gatemen for God sake. Private security guard means a whole different thing in this case and in relation to national security. Some of you let your bias and natural desire to see Nigeria fail blind your vision and stunt your capacity to reason logically. Use the link below to note what Private security company offers in the USA, to include armed guards, to understand that the Nigerian versions of things, as our people know it, is very different to the best versions of those things as obtain worldwide. https://www.securelionsecurity.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwr7ayBhAPEiwA6EIGxKbbhxlqz7_lql6V1NfdviEszi3wZ5OudokSPG-fPpGt4X6oBHIozBoCAb4QAvD_BwE |
jumobi1:Give your own opinion first rather than relate to the thread based on your asumptons about other contributors. Makes you appear petty, unfocused and disinterested in the topic under discussion. @Topic. Another game-changer as almost everything else this Minister has done. This is immense. The Minister always cleverly works with the realities of Nigeria, to take in sabotage by our “business as usual” enemies-of-progress, to get things done. He knows State/regional policing will naturally face hurdles and decides to circumvent the impasse against it by boosting national security capacity using Private Security Guards. This is similar to his drive to make it harder for the Nigerian passport to end up in the wrong hand as happened by commission and/or omission under previous governments. A biometric Private security guard Database could even make a solid and hard to reject argument for the routine arming of Private security guards, as obtains in the USA, to the extent they become a potent deputy to the Nigerian police force. Unlike what obtains today where those who never want Nigeria secure and able to return fire on terrorist, bandits, kidnappers and militant herdsmen limit Amotekun to pea shooter ‘Shakabula’ guns while illiterate herders, bandits and kidnappers have AK47 as standard issue. Security in Nigeria will not be difficult to improve if that is what all Nigerians want and those who cause the insecurity are not same powerful and very influential political leaders, all the way to the highest offices of Nigerian politics, aiding, sponsoring and abetting insecurity in the first place. Kudos to the Minister of Interior. A good, well-meaning and competent leader getting results. |
Kai. Igbos plus lies, deciet, deliberate misinformation and irredeemable hatred of others are 5 and 6. Below is the actual title of the article the OP presents here reflecting the thinking of the author. Yet contrast with that of the shameless and fraudulent OP that deliberately replaced "slams ruling Party" with "Slams Tinubu" in his own thread title clearly crediting an article and it author with an allegation against Tinubu neither made. Let us see if the bigoted Mods will ban this deliberate and virulent misinformation 419 OP for breaking NL rules to attack and malign Tinubu unjustly and falsely as hateful Igbos are obsessed with doing. Next minutes, when called out, they will all join to chorus duplicitously and dishonestly "we dont hate Tinubu. We just want good governance". Abeg what manner of desperation drives this deliberate peddling of fake news if not hate? I only feel sorry for Yorubas who don't know how deep the hatred Igbos have for then run in their black souls.
|
drsmut:Real pain. It is like a fatal dagger blow to their hearts when Yorubas are celebrated and commended. Whereas most normal folks have no problem with others getting deserved credits and accolades where due. |
pandoragirigory:Gossip and pettiness is all they love and are built for. They are never to be found where serious, factually balanced, progressive and developmental discussions are ongoing. Imagine this clown attending a wedding in Akure and then proposing the opinion of those there is that of the Yorubas at large. What can be more preposterous or laughable than that? This is why they are always losing out in politics and leadership which is for those with empirically sound and logical reasoning. |
yom2:Is there a single Igbo with the intellectual capacity to argue logically and on point always? Claiming others are treacherous or backstabbing is an opinion about their human character. Who is foolish enough to tag such 'culture'? What you are describing are characteristic of all men and women whereas "Culture is a collective programming of the mind that distinguishes the members of one group or category of people from another." Culture is similar to a set of beliefs or aims a group of people consciously agree to adopt and use as a guide to societal ways of life and behavior. It is exclusive to them. Like how your Osu Caste culture defines you and the Yoruba 'Omoluabi' culture exemplifies their essence. Lets talk about the culture of Yorubas and Igbos to see which the world laud and cite as exemplary. If you can put aside mischievous whataboutism and default readiness for clannish defence of your own backwardness as a people, you will agree culture is not a topic for any sensible Igbo to compare his ethnic group with the Yorubas. It is tragic how deep-rooted envy of Yorubas and a general malevolence of spirit makes you Igbos perhaps the only major ethnic group in Africa, and probably the world, not able to give credit where due and also guilty of trying to malign and discredit Yorubas always and forever. This is why I particularly dislike the Igbos and not for anything personal.
|
gift2xl:Nothing like that. They are just deploying same Taqiyah and subtle gaslighting IPOB and Obidients are masters at disturbing Nigeria with. Let Obi , if he can, condemn the audacious and lawless attempt of IPOB, an outlawed terrorist group, to be daring to warn the West African Examination Council and Nigeria to work to dictates of terrorists. Obi and Obidients give all other Nigerians no rest or peace so all Nigerians, fed up of their fascism and bullying, should rise up to press the neck of Obi and his Obidients very well. |
These guys are on a long thing expecting a response from the biggest ethno-religious bigot out of all the biggest bigots in Nigeria. Of course Obi is IPOB agenda. A very crude one at that. Most Igbo leaders are IPOB supremacists and fascists be it in the political, literary or academic field from Ezekwesili, to IPOB Senator Abaribe and letter writer Chimamanda. They are all hate-filled bigots and empty Igbo supremacists only interest in Igbos (I Go Before Others) dominating everything and everyone. They will then begin to act up and disturb the peace of Nigeria when such is not feasible. |
SonOfDSoil01:They're not even intelligent enough to note how dullardly their arguments that "Yorubas dont travel" sound. The most progressive and opportuned nations in the world, the true test-beds of progressive economic migration, Yorubas are there dominating Igbos in the loftiest professions. This proves, correctly, we are intelligent and selective traveller unlike desperado and shameless "developers". How many British footballers do you see leaving the English Premier league when they already play in the richest, most universally glamorous, most syndicated, most followed, most watched and most sponsored football league on Earth? Yet foreign players yapa for the English Premier league to make better pay and have better lifestyle. That is how Yorubas are in Nigeria explaining why the SW is full of economic migrants from all across Nigeria while Yorubas mainly remain in their region which is the best by far in Nigeria. Logically, sophisticated and well-educated Yorubas, never as desperate as the money-obsessed IPOB folks, are not going hustling in Abia or Somalia anytime soon when Canada, UK, USA etal remain better and attainable economic migration destination. The IPOB lot just lack the intellect and emotional maturity to note folks are laughing at their blind defence of their desperado and vagabond lifestyles that even leaves them dragging market stalls with Ghanaians in Ghana. What makes them even more foolish is the desperation to shade yorubas as flawed because we know our worth and have pride in ourselves to not be interested in scavenging in Mali, Ebonyi, Zamfara, Zimbabwe etal as the shameless IPOB lot are ever ready to do. |
Afamsi:Can't blame you. The internet and cheap data now unites fan Yogo hawkers and even Professors online. |
jmoore:Unintelligent Igbos and predictable whataboutism. Tribal marks were a way of identifying children to even their communal home in the past. How can that, by any sensible person, be compared to societal enslavement of Osus and shameless discrimination against your own people and women also? Is all these remnants of your backward and shamelessly discriminatory culture not even still visible today whereby Bianca Ojukwu is barred from contesting a political role in Anambra yet all Igbos want to be political leaders in the land of others? Just accept others are superior and learn from them. There is no basis for comparing Yoruba and Igbo culture same as only a lunatic can claim light and darkness are similar. |
Antivirus92:Another load of hogwash driven by the automatic need to defend a backward culture one was born into as Igbos always feel compelled to do. What, for example, "works" about Osu Caste system? Try and spin your answer to legitimise appalling discrimination. Go ahead. |
gidgiddy:Yes. Pragmatically intelligent Yorubas look forward to that day more than you can imagine. |
jmoore:Not true. You are just saying this to be politically correct or to fraudulently exalt the culture of your ethnic group when it is undeserving compared to others. Yoruba culture is far superior and more sophisticated in comparison to Igbo culture. Look no further than the one example of how there is no culture of discrimination against the female child in a Yoruba community or household. Compare to Igbo culture where, till today, a female eldest child, ostensibly because she is inferior to male siblings younger than her, cannot inherit the estate of her father. Intelligent men dont talk for the sake of it. They try to ensure what they say make sense and/or can stand the test of factual and intellectual scrutiny. This is one example alone I give yet many more exist, such as the Yorubas universally acclaimed respect for elders, to show Yoruba culture is vastly superior to that of Igbos even if you wish to delude yourself it is otherwise. I dont expect different from you though because it is not in the nature of Igbos to give credit where due to then learn from others to become better. Instead Igbos are automatically envious of and threathened by those they percieve as better to then be obsessed with badmouthing and running them down or comparing d1cks wtih them constantly. |
StudyBarn:lol. 😂 Hopeless case entirely. Pele. It is well. It seems only God can intervene in your matter so I will keep you in my prayers🙏🏾 |

StudyBarn:Since you insist on being a churlish child, I'll educate you. Perhaps even help you if you want to accept you need help. Below is number 1 of the signs you have low emotional intelligence. The bolded parts show why you're doing what you are now and also explains what brought about this your show of shame in the first place. I.e your inability to accept you're wrong, learn from the positive criticism and move on. You're not alone. Most Nigerians , especially the IPOB lot, are like you as I said at the very beginning of my reply to you. No 5, I.e low self-regulation, is your personification. Why not use the link and read more to note what is wrong with you and why you'll keep making a fool of yourself till you make a conscious effort to reform. https://kentuckycounselingcenter.com/how-to-spot-a-person-with-low-emotional-quotient/ 1. Low Self-Awareness: Highly Opinionated 5. Low Self-Regulation: Unpredictable Emotional Explosions |
T9ksy:He is in his sixties even. Along with other shameless agbayas like Kettykin etal who sit here all day peddling hatred and shameful nuisance behaviour even a sensible 20 year old will be ashamed of. While no one should be discriminated against on account of age, it is expected that those who are elderly in age carry themselves with class and wisdom to perhaps even be unifying voices and sources of sound advice for others. They should never be peddlers of hate, rancour and divisiveness. When that is the case then we are dealing with agbayas who deserve disgrace alone. Good to remember also that being uncouth and having zero decorum, at whatever age, comes with the territory for those who wake grandparents with slaps and kicks. |
StudyBarn:Choi, see painment from a total disgrace of an adult with no impulse control and zero emotional intelligence. Even a smart 7 year old would turn you into a blubbering mess. Enjoying your pained tirade sha. I can't lie. I always do when I come across immature adults very easy to wind up and goad. Keep it up ojare. 😎 |
David160:So the project will be used by his friends alone also right? Argue with logic and facts. Not with prejudice, emotions and sentiments. |
Lucas4903:Precisely. It does not take a Rocket Scientist to understand what Tinubu is trying to achieve which, in a nutshell, revolves around creating inherent and upscalable productivity in the system itself. The government of BAT, unlike all others before it, doe not want to endure with the economic stagnation of Nigeria and her citizens via a clearly failed approach of subsidising everything which, so far, only delivers mediocrity, lack of productivity, economic malaise/indolence and enduring poverty everywhere. We have to ditch the retrogressive and ultra-severe form of government-funded socialism we have adopted for at least a socio-capitalist system with a balance between Goverment-funded support of the economy and free-market/private sector-driven capacity. |
Paraman:They will tell you that Tinubu has bought Fitch. Some folks are irredeemable haters who will always, as default response, cast aspersions on any positive announcement related to Nigeria. @Topic. It has not been easy but Tinubu remains on course to provide solutions for our major woes that has kept Nigeria and Nigerians underdeveloped. I think it is fair to give him two years in charge to then review the impacts of his numerous reforms. |
BeigJawnson:Lol. You're supporting the utterances of a Yoruba and moslem-hating moniker. What does that make you? Who is dumb enough not to know AfonjaMuslim is a slur let alone be claiming it is not an IPOB name, as you do, when the IPOB louts was called out? Abeg go siddon. You're an IPOB lackey. |
BeigJawnson:Lol, Oga na since 1902 you don dey peddle your hate of "Afonjamuslim" here so no one can expect you to see any good in an "Afonjamuslim" President same as no white supremacist is going to be singing the praise of any black man anytime soon. Better to admit your a Yoruba and Moslem-hating bigot than to pretend you're objective towards both when your past utterances, exactly same with Chinedu aka Gbadebo, remain online to discredit you.
|
BeigJawnson:Bro, "AfonjaMuslim" don finish here for you to fight? Abeg bounce ojare. Chinedu
|
BeigJawnson:IPOB louts and their dullardly lies. You forget your past utterances are here for posterity when you open your big and propagandists mouth to lie and talk nonsense. Which of your IPOB family supported Asiwaju when your post from 2021 below makes it obvious you hate "AfonjaMuslim" i.e Yorubas and Moslems. We all know virtually all Igbos are same in regards to their hatred of Yorubas and Moslems so try another lie. Per you pretence you predicted anything about BAT, Can any sane and logical person expect you to be objective towards Tinubu who is both Yoruba and moslims when you're an "Afonjamuslim" hater and bigot from even years before Tinubu became APC xandidate? Gbajue Opuro na una be. The lot of you. Screenshot the post also so you don't go and edit it. We know una 'tendencies' well well 😎😎 https://www.nairaland.com/beigjawnson/posts/25 BeigJawnson:

chichar1:Agreed Madam, if you are indeed female. Yet Tinubu remains Preaident for the next 3 years at least, not Obi, so I am happy to laugh even if that is at myself. Unlike those who have not been able to laugh at all since IPOB Obi failed to capture Aso Rock and Chinedu, aka Gbadebo, failed woefully on the IPOB Lagos mission. 😁😂 |

yea I know the truth hurts….but you need to hear it and always be reminded of your place, even if it’s hurt your bitter soul. Yorubas are progressive people and we are in no d!ck measuring competition with you lot Because there is nothing to compete with us with…. Still the most economically viable region and you won’t expect us to leave that for a cursed and deserted barren region😂
