Jayhome24:Totally agree with you about ADC. It is the worst opposition in Nigeria's history with how it is centred around the ambitions of a few Fulani born-to-rule supremacists and hegemonists, backed by some unprincipled and "gluttonous" Southern traitors, who feel they can threat the rest of us as slaves jettisoning the rotation agreement after South observed it meticulously in favour of Buhari and the North. Whether Atiku's dishonorable ambition set Nigeria on fire or not is not the concern of the man himself and the many nefarious character behind him. The Alliance of desperate conspirators (ADC) will be disgraced. |
amaridigital:Great job chronicling the commendable Political 'movement' of Tinubu that shows he is far and beyond his opponent and an embodiment of something non of them can ever be. I.e a supreme builder of leaders, processes, institutions, Political Parties etal. Obi that Ojukwu dashed APGA nearly ran it into the ground with his divisive pettiness and deceptive nature. Atiku is worse because dude has never cared about the fortunes of Parties he joins, to use for his selfish ambition, let alone take an interest in improving any. If Nigeria were a nation where many are not emotionally, prejudicially and ethnocentrically attached to their side, most Nigerians would indeed admit Tinubu is a "Political God". |
Lol. PRP looking to cash out from the desperation of Atiku, Obi, Aregbesola etal who cannot build a winning Party, and only know how to buy one, yet insisting they are best to lead Nigeria. Make PRP sef cash out before Dubai dollars finish with "gluttons" like Momodu, Kenneth Okonkwo etal looking to pocket a large chunk of the 'budget'. |
1nice:So you are even prejudiced against Yorubas? Your 'mission' is clear now. Opari. Case closed. |
Parachoko:I wonder OO. "Factional APC chairman" with no name. Some need to try harder with the propaganda. |
FarahAideed:Not all Fulanis are bad or compromised. Ultimately, whoever is NSA is not the difference between winning or losing the war against Northern-led Banditry and Jihadist terror. The central concept many Nigerians do not understand is that the war against terrorism and banditry cannot be won when the North's culture, orientation and belief system (religious ideology) leads many in the region, including those with the biggest influence and financial might, to be religiously, ideologically and culturally sympathetic toward the "agitation" of bandits and terrorists. Gumi for example tell us bandits are fighting for justice and opportunities deprived them !! By murdering the rest of us in cold blood? I mean, what da eff? This pervasive and all-consuming ideology, powerfully entrenched across the North and even above us into the Sahel nations, is what Nigeria must fight and expert would tell you it can't be fought and defeated until the North is ready to fight it. Bottom line any intelligent and solution-driven person will accept is that the South cannot control what the North does or does not do. Absolutely crucial to understand this. Meaning only existential option open to the rest of us is to perfect what we can control which is the security of our own lives and property in our states and region using our own independent State or regional police force. Everything else is beating around the Bush and I don't expect what I say here to ever be a topic of discussion for our leaders at all levels because majority of them, even the good ones, are sworn to defending the goodness of the facade called "one Nigeria" that is actually the reason many terrible and unacceptable things are happening to Nigeria today. |
@OP. Jihad terror. Can easily be kept out of the South if the FG expedite the creation of Regional/State policing. This is because any State and/or region that can create it's own police force to operate as intelligently and tactically efficient as some of the best in the world do will succeed defeating terrorist in Nigeria. Terrorist in Nigeria are not particularly challenging if confronted by superior technology, forensic crime fighting and personnel trained/equipped to global best standard without sabotage from within. All things State/regional police can achieve but the NPF cannot. I have seen this with experience of Metropolitan Police (London police) over decades to know we are kidding in Nigeria with a police force literally 80 years behind some of the best in the world. Does Nigeria even have a DNA database? I don't mention the North because the region is a different kettle of fish. Some of the plans of Government mentioned are good yet will fall short if there is no effort to tackle the Elephant in the room no one wants to talk about so as not to offend Moslems. Religious and Cultural leadership in the North, taking in preaching clerics and Imams plus Sultans and Emirs etal, must be completely overhauled and regulated strictly , ensuring they move into modernity, to try and create a new cadre of Islamic preaching and engagement that does not radicalise minds murderously, about Jihad, from a young age. Not repealing Sharia for example, that should never have been allowed in a nation formally secular, is one proof we are not ready to leave no stone unturned in the effort to defeat terror in Nigeria. I understand the President also. There are things a Southern President cannot demand of the North and these are the critical things to ending terrorism the North itself has no interest in tackling. Meaning, whether it is a Northerner or Southerner in power, terrorism will never end unless Northerners want it to and genuinely commit to what must be done to achieve that.. Listen to the guy below and you'll understand efforts will fail if what the speaker identifies as a big problem is not tackled. I don't believe it will be tackled in so far as Northern leaders will be unwilling to accept responsibility to push for change that is required to end the proliferation of terror in the North. Proof is how Northern political and religious leaders, with their region literally submerged by terrorism, are today only obsessed with power returning to the North. Yet, at no time do we see them gathering seriously and formally to brainstorm solutions for terrorism that has virtually destroyed the North. When has Atiku ever suggested solutions to terrorism considering he cleverly spends his time attacking Tinubu in desperation to regain power from the South? When has Atiku and other like himled from the to acknowledge the problem the man in the video below highlights? FG should simply acknowledge that terrorism ends when Northerners truly wants it to and expedite the delivery of State/regional policing and greater regional autonomy so that the rest of his who want peace, security, growth and development can secure it. When this happens and Northern leaders see other regions making progress in their safe and investment-friendly State, perhaps they will sit up and do the needful. While we all continue pretending terrorism is a problem we must all tackle, whereas the Northerners responsible for it have other focus aside robustly fighting what they have foisted on Nigeria, then we will all fail. We can all see the success of Amotekun to note the difference between a region sincere about defeating criminality and one that seems to tacitly assist it flourish and grow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEczxfZ1s7Q?si=dfZiQpFJO3LKBOfO |
zeuss:That would be a disaster. Most Nigerians cannot pass psychiatric evaluation that would allow for gun ownership because, conducted properly, it requires very stringent proof a bearer of arms can be responsible with it. Look at how bandits and terrorists, who were ordinary Nigerians, kill without mercy, once they were armed, to understand that point. |
dechriz:I think he believes he is. The way Obidients worship him like a Messiah has surely gotten to this head. Soon he will be telling us he has the power to decide who lives or who dies like the other messiah (now incarcerated) announced. |
Lol. This is why many now view Obi as unintelligent and a leader with uncharacteristically low IQ. What kind of talk is: Speaking on Saturday on Magic FM in Aba, Abia state, Obi said getting closer to them offers him an opportunity to change them positively if they are guilty. What is the point of Obi trying to lead when he can simply get close to all corrupt and bad leader to change them for they better so they can then lead "positively"? Why is Obi needed as a leader if, like a messiah, he has the power to change for the better the many thousands of bad leaders he previously insisted must be removed for Nigeria to make progress? Obi is a scammer abeg. An unintelligent and dull one to boot. |
jmoore:Whatever floats your boat buddy. 👍👍 |
anonimi:Lol. Wike is a public figure. You're not and only God knows what you do in your little corner of the Earth. 😎 |
akpumping7720:Smart dude seeing countless steps ahead of most folks. What you write is totally above the head of many who do not understand dynamics are shifting fast even globally and beyond Nigeria , yet diverging with our path and future, to mean Nigeria , now critically important to the world in ways many Nigerians are yet to fathom, will no longer be allowed to exist in a vacuum, as obtained in the past and under the forces of retrogression and darkness, with many doing as they please out of world view and intervention. Most can't see what you do let alone account for it as critically important in the future of Nigeria which is going to see those who believe they own Nigeria have less and less influence till they become insignificant if they do not wish to shape up and reform. I like your ending also. "calm down and watch the movie" because it is linked to your talk of "not only election that will bring in Someone that will reset Nigeria" for those who see the big picture. They really do not know Jagaban and I always chuckle when some say he is chasing loot. That's all I will say publicly. |
anonimi:You sure Wike is the "Ologogoro" and not the author of this post I quoted? Lol. |
OredoPikin2:Edo Local champion-noisemaking you are engaging in is naive. Nothing for Obi in 2027. I suspect you know this and this is why you are even pleading ADC give him the ticket. For where? Obi don lule as far as ADC ticket is concerned. That is the birthright of Atiku, Obi's boss and "elder brother". Let us see if Obi will beg to deputise Atiku soon. Lol.
|
zenburster:Kai. All this character assassination against the Pastor simply to defend Messiah Obi? Na real wa for una. One would think this Obi is holier than Jesus the way you lot exalt him. |
nairalanda1:Sey make Seun and Mods do wetin? Politician and public figure stoking fire of ethno-religious hatred against Yorubas una fem. If same done to your ethnic group by a Yoruba politician and public figure then Nairaland will have scattered by now. Now, the opinion of a random elderly woman in some Village is inducing hot flushes. Petition DSS to arrest and lock mama up na. While Timi Frank etal are running their mouth up and down. |
nairalanda1:Why ? OP supplied a valid link. Or you think progressive mindset involves demanding censorship of everything you are not happy within? How many of you showed face to make a fuss on the thread below that is even worse because it is open incitement against the Yorubas by a political and public figure? Ordinary, likely illiterate and unknown woman speak you are rolling around. Nationally recognised figure, charged with setting good example, penned a divisive, derogatory and ethno-religiously incendiary message and non of you speak. Hypocrisy is another name for Nigerians. https://www.nairaland.com/8644180/el-rufai-mums-burial-timi-frank |
Waterlilly:Why not? There are many things in Nigeria today one can appreciate as vast improvements. Tunji-Ojo's work, for example, is phenomenal and gives hope. Modernisation and ease of passport procurement, E-gates at airport etc, etc. Why won't someone who flies frequently proclaim Nigeria is better than before? Forex is easier to obtain now, for those legitimately requiring it, because of exchange rate unification unlike when Bureau de change cabals had commandeered all that was available in the past to make black market profit from. Even Infrastructure is crazy with so many mega-project ( the most ever since 1999) underway today. I can name.so many other positive developments and improvements going on some deliberately fail to acknowledge because it comes under a Presisent they hate and want gone so their messiah can replace him. Whereas 2Face is no bigot and can speak honestly for his relationship with Nigeria. Of course certain issues are a worry like insecurity, inflation etc but objective and balanced people can see improvements in Nigeria for sure. I do. |
Sonnobax15:A man's opinion about his nation, he is entitled to, brings out this much animosity, personalised insult and toxicity from you. 2Face sees improvement and good in Nigeria and that is your cue to curse him lowly, mock his people's plight and even drag his past relationship? Na wa. Some of you are scary. |
alsudan:Continue having fun with your fantasy. Keep dreaming till election day 2027 when hash reality of your naivete will be upon you |
Lithiumite:The "Yoruba but" thing again. How does this concern us and why is it always Yorubas first to blink trying to prove they are decent? No Yoruba made the claim. We did nothing here so don't drag us into this. It was an elderly woman speaking in a video. I watched it. OP is not guilty of incitement or breaking public peace because he did neither. Merely supplied a video and a link of what others said. Are we kids to want Nairaland turned into a PG-rated blog site? Isn't Nairaland already a watered-down site compared to discussion blogs of other nations? Besides, how many on this nairaland told off Timi Frank (myself and a few Yorubas only) over his incendiary and inciteful claim against Yorubas when he urged Fulanis to note their enemies because no "Yoruba Muslim" attended the funeral of El Rufai's mother? How many were cheering his lunatic talk on? Go and find the thread to confirm. Times have changed and Yorubas need to wise up, mind their business and stop being the Voltron of others in Nigeria where such is never appreciated. See how Soyinka, Falana, his son Falz and other have withdrawn after those they fought for in the past turned against them savagely? For clout, VDM virtually destroyed the Falana family with so many non-Yoruba automatically and bigotedly behind him not caring what Femi Falana and his son had always stood for. Bro let's be guided abeg. |
kimjessey2019:Same thing El Rufai called Obi. I.e a "Nollywood Actor". Lol. Nigerian politics na cruise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ETTep4Qkno?si=KaR35r7jWlMBnPf3 |
Lukuluku69:What you have highlighted is the human element some of us insist is a major part of the problems of Nigeria. How can the bolded in your post, for example, be blamed on Government? Irresponsible adults ignoring their environmental and civic responsibility, is the fault of Government how? |
Kalulu44:How can federal allocation be used for the bolded? Make it make sense bro because federal allocation to States is not a bribe Tinubu can withhold from Governors failing to do his bidding. Objective and informed Nigerians know that no President can withhold allocation accruing to States from the income of Nigeria that belongs to all tiers of governance and not the FG alone. |
Rebelutionary:You've got it spot on. Obi is a charlatan to everybody but his people who view him the messiah when nada in his leadership history shows he is anything but a below average leader. We ask them regularly who and what Obi mentored/built to the level of greatness as other genuine and fitting leaders do with ease. The response from them is always whataboutism.
|
jmoore:Gibberish as usual. |
Reference:When and where did I say that? My point, which any objective and reasonable person will agree with, is that President Tinubu has done well ensuring subsidy is removed so that more money is available at all levels of Governance to use bettering the lot of Nigerians and Nigeria. State Government, because they receive more, now have a duty to do more and should be held to account accordingly instead of every Nigerian shouting Tinubu up and down because of one bias or the other against Mr.President that prevents them seeing the relationship and responsibilities between all who lead and those who are led. Nigeria, to decentralize power and aid better administration, operate three tiers of Government (Federal, State and local Government) that are supposed to function independently to address problems at their respective levels. Is it not in order Nigerians demand Governors and local Government chairmen do better rather than attack the President over issues that fall under the purview of others? Whether you want to see/believe it or not, the Federal Government is handling it's business well even if serious challenges, that have arisen over decades of management , still pose a problem. Knowledgeable Nigerians will understand it is right to demand all leaders, and not the President alone, do better.
|
Leonardo4:Lol. An economic illiterate calling others joker. Simple question requiring a simple answer. You claim "the allocation of previous administration can still do more" yet why were States on the verge of collapse under Jonathan and Buhari to the extent many were borrowing to pay salary whereas today all States pay salary comfortably with their federal allocation? Explain. The main 'ability' most of you have is being the most insulting and uncouth Africans alive whereas you lack the knowledge of those you insult. Pay particular attention to the assertion; "the removal allowed for more funds for state government obligations".
|
Ayo25:Absolutely. They were all ordinary contestants in 2023. Now Tinubu is the incumbent President, an especially smart one too, who is seeking re-election and has consolidated power admirably. A joint ticket of Atiku and Obi would have defeated Tinubu in 2023. No doubt about that. Yet, as you stated, that shipped has left the shores of Nigeria ages ago and is now in Canada never to return lol. |
