naturefellow:Indeed . In fact it shows his dedication to upholding the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" creed. If the poster you responded to is not bigoted and prejudiced against Yorubas would he proclaim the frumpy and average-looking lady (that is me being very kind) shown below as "beautiful and endowed" if she is stated to be Yoruba? Some of these guys think others cannot see their clearly biased and compromised mindset revealing their latent hatred of everything and everyone Yoruba .

esnbrutality:Benchmark ke? I made it crystal clear I used entertainers as one of the lowest denominators to show you cannot match up. Do you want us to compare using business, fashion, Arts, hospitality, travel and tourism, professional/technocrat sector and cooperate success of the women of Nigeria? You will cry bro because the facts at that levels of things horribly discredits the false indoctrination of "superiority" you were brainwashed to buy into from birth. Guy, shift. This is above the level of people like you who don't respect facts let alone defer to them. Make it makes senses how a people you love disparaging as untalented, unambitious, ugly, cowardly etal continue to factually dominate all other Nigerians in virtually every sector stating from entertainment upwards. This is why I don't like getting into this with you bigots because Yorubas will begin appearing arrogant and ungracious when we present fact to defend ourselves and show reality on ground you guys try to warp with you false narratives.

WorldRichest:Lol. Uppercut TKO !!! Well-said and well-addressed. |
WorldRichest:Don't mind them. Nigeria has a chronic problem of people not wanting a leader to succeed and shine simply because he is not from their ethnic group. Contrast with the developed world where nations got where they did supporting consistent and sincere leaders making a positive difference. Is the debt owed our GENCOs and DISCOs not dating back to the GEJ era many call a messiah yet he conceded Nigeria's distribution companies into the hands of his incompetent co-conspirators under some "privatision sell-off " of our previously Goverment-owned power assets? When they blame Tinubu for poor power today, one wonders what level of prejudice and immaturity prevents grown adults understanding the problem started from PDP under OBJ, $16 billion dollars power project that did not produce a single Watt of power , onwards to Jonathan who compounded the problem selling distribution companies of Nigeria in to incompetent hands for kickbacks. |
TimeManager:That's what Tinubu is about. I.e making Nigeria a nation with integrity and respect for the rule of law towards honouring investment contracts and debts owed , to all investors home and abroad, that can then positions Nigeria as an investor-friendly top destination of FDI she is becoming today as the woman below attest to. With the power sector, for example, PBAT did something, that many missed, which show he is the one and the opposition is evil and self-serving. Privatisation of DISCOs (power distribution companies) etal began under GEJ since Nigeria had finally admitted publicly that private sector investment is required to bridge the huge financing gap that will produce constant power and industrialisation, plus accelerate socio-economic growth, for Nigeria. Privately though, GEJ and Buhari undermined this effort by combining to flagrantly owe and refuse to pay DISCOs and GENCOs trillions of Naira owed them.foe services rendered thus damaging investor confidence in the Nigerian power sector. GEJ and Buhari, when DISCOs and GENCOs threatened to down tools over huge payment FG owed them, simply bullied private power generation and distribution companies with Presidential fiat to keep them operating and supplying Nigeria with power. International investors were watching and concluding "avoid Nigeria lacking institutional integrity and firm commitments to rule of law and contractual obligations". By the time Tinubu came in, DISCOs and GENCOs insisted the government owe them over 6 trillion Naira. They downed tools and refused to supply power to Nigeria and this, even as Atiku and Obi etal will never reveal that to Nigerians, is the reason power supply fell appreciably in the past few months from December. Option open to Tinubu was (1) act like previous President and use power to bully DISCOs and GENCOs to keep operating at losses to themselves or (2) resolve the problem and massively boost the potentials of Nigeria to attract investors (especially foreign) to our power sector by showing Nigeria is ready to honour debts owed and contract signed. Tinubu convened a committee to assess and reconcile the claims of GENCOs and DISCOs that Nigerian owes them 6 trillion Naira plus from 2015 till today to establish what is actually outstanding. This period was responsible for what many uninformed Nigerians viewed as "inaction" of government over worsening power supply whereas it was the dedicated effort of a President determined , always keen to deliver permanent solutions and never short fixes, to make Nigeria a nation that will emerge as a destination of FDI because she commits to global standards of integrity and respect for contracts and full devotion to paying debts. After the President recieved info over reconciliation of debt owed DISCOs and GENCOs, he has now concluded a 3 trillion plus package to pay them off. No other President in Nigeria, since 1999, has done this i.e focus on healing a wound from inside with antibiotics rather than putting cloth over it that merely stop the bleeding which then fools Nigerians all is well. Doe clarity, Tinuu is quietly pay huge debt other Presidents ran up and dishonorsbly failed to pay. He also paid billions Buhari, specifically, owed PHCN for power supplied to Aso Rock over years that was never paid. Tinubu has achieved two major things here with this new arrangement to clear desbt owned DISCOs and GENCOs. (1) DISCOs and GENCOs now have a large settlement of debts they downed tools over that should allow them to work and invest in their capacity to serve Nigeria better meaning we can expect even more reliable power supply than the best we have had since 1999. (2) The watching world will see Nigeria as a nation led by a president who is committed to best global standards of integrity in protecting the capital and profit of Foreign direct investors. They flooded to Singapore under the reforms of Lee Kuan Yew that Tinubu has dedicated himself to match and exceed given the greater challenges of Nigerian Those very impressed with Nigeria right now will include foreign investor, crucial to a broke nation like Nigeria becoming developed as happened with Singapore, who will view Nigeria as a potential destination for their investment capital. This is because they had valid reasons, under past Presidents, to be deterred by our rogue approach to honouring debts and contracts that made investors fear investing in our nation without financial ruination being their fate. Under Tinubu, the world is seeing and falling in love with a President ready to honour agreements and refrain from using Presidential fiat to dodge contractual obligation to others as Presidents before him all did. Tinubu is the truth. Just hope enough Nigerians can see this so we don't let saboteurs convince the average Nigerians, unfortunately not very knowledgeable, that the likes of Atiku,Kwankwaso and Obi are anything but throwback relic who want to take us back to Egypt and the regressive days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph5XCf8jgOE?si=PbqfNIAno7-tlHMg |
Simplecity:Essentially, this is a proactive and visionary direct intervention, via incentives to stakeholders, from the presidency to remove bottlenecks preventing FID (final investment decision) that will allow initiation of preliminary actions and work towards realising the potentials of the Bonga Southwest Aparo deepwater project capable of producing 150k barrels of crude per day and 150 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

mozes01:Precisely . When you see Yoruba women, some of the most accomplished and highly regarded by far from Africa, being attacked by non-Yoruba Nigerians then the bolded in your post always apply. It pains and troubles them to their soul. |
stanluiz:Your new heroine is a typically bitter and envious woman angry at those she cannot match, like you, with that frustration translating into a malevolently toxic obsession with Yorubas. I am sure a talented Yoruba lady took her dream job or something. Like you, she is an individual who cannot give credit where it is more than due and prefers to attack others she is jealous of to her soul. Tweeting bile against Yorubas since 2011 shows the lady has mental problems. You Ask "which positive" in relation to Yoruba women ba? Before I even talk of the business, academic and cooperate world where Yoruba women dominate all others, including your own, to a ludicrous extent let's even do entertainment pere. Show me one equivalent your entire ethnic group has of Tiwa Savage, Tems, Ayra Starr, Teni, Niniola, Simi, Asa, Mo Abudu etal. Just one will do since you ask the foolish and self-mocking question "which positivity". This is why Yorubas try to avoid these kinds of conversation and often look away, graciously ignoring your insults and envy-driven putdowns, rather than tackle overt and deliberate dishonesty aimed at discrediting us by those jealously living in denial. We know that when we respond with facts, despite your lies and denial, we begin to look like bullies because of how farYorubas have run whereas some are still learning to walk. What is shown below even Non-Nigerians are proudly claiming Tems and Tiwa Savage, as their own, is not positive abi? Oya show your sisters that have achieved similar na. You lot are something else.

DeOTR:Shocking to be honest but charity never begins at home for Nigerians. |
Passionate888:Sadly, she only ended up destroying herself. She has been sacked over her bigoted attacks against Yorubas and her career is in jeopardy because she now has a negative stain on her CV and won't get a reference from the employer who sacked her. She probably did all these egged on by onlookers like you encouraging her to "really finish Yoruba people". Better start a GoFundMe appeal for her. |
Menclothing1:That's what gets to them all and precipitates the hating, toxic envy and undeserved uncouthness towards Yorubas we have no time for. Nothing in life worse than an envious and hateful soul because such is a prison the owner is stuck in. Meanwhile Yorubas no send dem. We simply keep it moving, and looking forward, to the extent we are now one of the premier people and region doing Nigeria proud and attracting the little glory and positivity giving Nigeria national substance while others only contribute negatives. |
esnbrutality:Look at the picture of the woman calling others ugly and compare it to the picture of the Yoruba lady tackling. Her throwback bigotry. Would it be fair to state the women of the ethnic group the bigot hails from are ugly going by her frumpy image? Grow up and try to decent for once in your life. Your nauseating hatred of Yorubas has turned you into something unpalatable yet you can't see it. |
helinues:Precisely. My conclusion also in my post above. It is what happens when a people stand out for the right reasons and others just can't match up. Toxic envy and bitterness begins. That's how losers make themselves feel better against those superior to them at virtually everything. |
Lol below is the picture of the bigoted hag calling Yoruba women ugly. Judge for yourself. Meanwhile, below her picture is that of a Yoruba lady , Olatanwa, on twitter tackling the nauseating bigotry of this Otas woman. Forumers can judge beauty of the ethnic group of the bigoted woman alongside that of Yorubas using the two images since the bigot has decided to foolishly stereotype ugliness to Yorubas. Any intelligent Yoruba will know it's all envy of an ethnic group more sophisticated, blessed, refined, successful and progressive than their haters

SisterAnn:Is that all you have? My bad for indulging an uncouth Obidient thinking I was dealing with someone civilised. Won't happen again. |
NLandIsHypocrit:Lol. Na you sabi. |
NLandIsHypocrit:He used to report breaking news here others did not know leading to the accusation he was involved and that's why he was first to know where the bodies were. Yet the guy gave sound proof (use of informants, investigative methods, outreach talk etc) that showed he is just good at investigative reporter. Ther are many like him worldwide. We engaged him on Nairaland and asked questions. That's what I mean. The problem then, as is the case till today, was that many preferred to blindly insist Kanu and his colleagues are innocent angels while insisting "Fulani DSS" and Ijele Speak were the ones carrying out every single killing in every corner of the SE and not deranged cultist killers like Ikonso, Dragon, Gentle De Yahoo etal. |
SisterAnn:You dont know the depth and complexity of Nigeria's major problems so I don't expect you to understand those issues can't be resolved overnight or in even 5 years for that matter. |
MasterTeeUSA:Indeed. I was impressed with how he doggedly and politely stuck to the brief of getting answers the world wants without egotistically joining issues with Nwosu to then become a distraction , rather than the vessel of information delivery, as the unprofessional and openly biased Rufai Oseni is always guilty of. The guy will go far. Porting to CNN etal as an Africa correspondent very possible per global talent headhunting.. |
geezville86:Really cringeworthy indeed. I was wincing watching it. Nauseating charlatans that permeate the Nigerian political space. |
KosiGee:Well, maybe you know him better. I interacted with him here on NL and he did not seem a psychopath or Killer to me. Dogged, determined and not easily intimidated? Yes. Killer? No in my opinion. We can agree to disagree but, generally, real and stone-cold killers hide. They don't publicise themselves, write article and act like investigative crime/war front journalists. Ijele is just a more rugged and fearless version of Sowore in my opinion. |
zoedew:Precisely. What will anyone achieve assassinating him? Someone who cannot even win his ward is a threat to who exactly in Nigerian politics? The sad reality is that Sowore has finished himself and is now regarded the joke of Nigerian politics. He could have built himself up going from the HOR or Senate of a prominent national party towards prominence. Instead, like a school cultist who never grew up, he preferred to be a rebel without a cause and an agbaya political agbero always getting into altercation here and there because he believes that is what Nigerians want to see to support him. He has stayed in the US too long and no longer understand Nigeria which is like no other nation on Earth. |
AMINDA:How? You don't care about Nigeria's growth, progress and incrementally sustainable development over time. You are only upset the Nigerian political system, to include Northerners, is matching the energy of your masters i.e dishonourable Northern born-to-rule supremacists and imperialist usurpers. The way some of you talk one would think Atiku, El Rufai, Malami, Tambuwal, Babachir Lawal, Hadi Sirika etal are Nelson Mandela, Awolowo, Kwame Nkrumah, Thomas Sankara and Mother Theresa rolled into one rather than leprous and ruinous hands everything must be done to prevent hijacking the path of reform and lasting progress Nigeria is on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ph5XCf8jgOE?si=CcjOKa29554ONxbj |
festacman:No one is scared of Obi. It is the antics of his virulent and extremist Obidient followers, which is to be expected given Obi's region of origin, that worries people. Obi himself is a politician whose history of serial cowardice is well-known. Meaning not a single politician in Nigerian will ever lose sleep regarding direct confrontation with Obi. He is never the type the Nigerian political establishment can fear, respect or view authoritative. It is his radical and cult-like Obidient following that has given him menace potential. Obi, as a politician, is not someone any Nigerian politician respect. I will simply throw you the challenge of naming even 5 undisputed political achievers and titans behind Obi whereas Tinubu has hundreds. |
KosiGee:Give an example of anyone who'd want Sowore dead because it surely can't be a political adversary since Sowore polled circa 40k votes in the 2019 Presidential election and around 27k votes in 2023. Nigerian politicians are some of the most callous in the world but they have one thing in common. If you are like an ant to them in standing, they won't bother look at your side. Only those who can prevent them getting the office they want that they fight. Not Sowore who is only talk yet the electorate have shown near zero interest in him as a leader. |
I have time for Ijele Speak. Brave and rugged dude not afraid to go against popular opinion or where others would not thread. However, and without calling him a liar, I wonder why anyone would want the inconsequential and discredited clown Sowore dead when same joker polled 27k votes in 2023 election while Obi, a fiirst time candidate, got over 5 million votes. Sowore is just an unserious noisemaker who is no threat to no one at all. |
tollyboy5:Don't mind them. For the absence of doubt, below is what UN stated afte creating 7th of July as Amotekun day in recognition of the success of the security group and the consideration it can be a veritable model for fighting insecurity across the whole Nigeria. It is only tribalism ethno-religious bitterness and envy along with lack of homogeneity of ideas and vision that prevents Nigerians learning from other Nigerians. https://guardian.ng/opinion/editorial/un-recognition-of-amotekun-clear-signal-to-address-insecurity/ UN recognition of Amotekun: Clear signal to address insecurity

Didijiji:I don't believe in APC, PDP, Labour etal. Those who do, like you, appear to me the equivalent of adults who believe in father Christmas. Nigerian political Parties have zero ideological and institutional integrity. They are at least 60 years behind the political Parties in developed nations. Our Political Parties are essentially the extension of the mindset of the strongest or most highly-placed member of the Party. When you mention "the last 12 years of disastrous APC rule" a pragmatic, critical-thinking and solutions-driven Nigerian sees 8 years rule of Buhari and his Fulani cabal i.e Malami, Mamman Daura, Tunde Sabiu, Abba Kyari etal. Plus 3 years of the pro-reform government of Tinubu who inherited a Nigeria at the worst she has ever being in post independence history from his so-called APC colleague Buhari who froze him out and did not allow Tinubu any contributory participation in his Goverment. How , if a critical thinker, do you then consider that "the last 12 years of disastrous APC rule" is a valid and factually correct statement? |
Misterone:Indeed. It pains me to say this but the truth as I percieve it, and as an exposed and well-travelled individual, is that the Nigerian adult is one of the most irresponsible and unreasonable in the world. It is the reason we have the nation we do while the man in the street keeps shouting "leaders". Majority of ordinary Nigerians, if possible, want free electricity, zero tax obligation, free food, free top healtchare, free quality education, free housing, 50 Naira per litre PMS, free higher institution education etc, etc. On top of that, after huge chunks of money has gone into subsidising the freebies they want, Nigerians will then insist Nigeria must be like Dubai and Singapore with top infrastructure. Yet they will be first to go on the offensive if you suggest family planning to ensure a highly burdened and poor nation, as China did then, is not held back birthing too many children than she can develope optimally into productive human resources. This is why I believe we are wasting time flogging the dead Horse called "one Nigeria". Let us, at the very least, split Nigeria into regions so that those with homogeneity of ideas and vision get the chance to see if they can develop progressive and efficient societies. As it is , along regional and ethno-religious lines, Nigerians are too different to ever be capable of creating a great "One Nigeria'. It won't happen. |
