Christianity EtcRe: A Thread For Catholics by woky: 12:32am On Nov 01, 2013
Syncan: Amen, Amen. God bless you bro. Yes it is the end of the month...and the series as well. Hence to ensure the participation of all in this last class, as well as to usher in All saints day, the question will go thus: With the exception of Jesus and Mary, should God decide to give you an hour, with one of our elder sisters or brothers now with him, which will you request for and why?
st. Louis de Mantfort

I will love to knw his reason(s) for having strong devotion to our Blessed virgin Mary, how he felt when he was living with the poor and the joy and blessing he derive from preaching the gospel most expecially, to the poor.

I will ask him to pray for me so that i may live by his example.

Good mornin brethren and happy new month to you all

Christianity EtcRe: Famous Rosary Miracles (for Believers). by woky: 11:48am On Oct 31, 2013
italo: Wow! I'm very thankful to God that I opened this thread. I opened it with several famous miracles, but I have been equally blessed by the testimonies of my brothers and sisters on nairaland. This one ranks up there.

I would like to open a similar thread on the miracles of the Blessed Sacrament on the feast of Christ the King in November (when we have "Corpus Christi" procession).

So brothers and sisters, please get your testimonies ready. I know there are many of them.

Thanks HurricaneChris and all for taking the time to share the good work of our Lord through the intercession of our blessed Mother.
Go ahead bro!
U have my full support.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Churches Have Different Doctrines And Denominations? by woky:
italo: No. Because one businessman named Kumuyi did not just wake up and start build on his own authority. It was built by men under the authority of the Catholic Church world-wide.

Isnt it you that admitted that the Bible was compiled in the 4th century by the Church on Rome? That book had 73 books.

Kumuyi says the Bible has 66 books. Both of you are anarchists.

Pope Francis & I agree: 73 books.

Kumuyi and you? Workers of lawlessness.
@Italo

pls leave dis dude, there is nothing u wil tell him dat wil make him blv the truth for he has already made up his mind not to accept the truth.(even when its obvious)

argue with him from now till 2moro, it wil neva arrive at a compromise

Christianity EtcRe: Partiality-using Mary The Mother Of God And Not Using Joseph The Father Of God. by woky: 6:51am On Oct 31, 2013
Ukuts gp: u mean jesus does nt hv a father on earth? U know what those child that does not have a father are called abi.
Joseph did not physically begt Jesus. Mary concieved Jesus through divine means.
Joseph agonized over mary's apparently illegitimate pregnancy,
Protected mary and the unborn Jesus by accepting mary as his wife after an angel appeared to him in a dream and directed him to do so.

Although the bible doesn't say much abt Joseph, even his death is not recorded in the bible. He is reported by Luke to stil be alive when jesus was around 12yrs old.

Joseph was only chosen by God to be the foster father of Jesus.

nwuyag: no god has a place/position/job in my life right now. I don't believe in those hell heaven stories, infact the bible. I have always said, there might be a God, but that imo cannot be the xtian one. Besides, this life is short, so hardwork all the way.
And Dude, I am definitely not going further than this. So let's end here.
