safarigirl:Yeah, I belong to Sowore's campaign organization. I will communicate what you have raised to them. I wish Banky would get a deeper understanding of things before its too late. They have been so isloated from the masses for too long that they can't understand their needs well. Still sha, they are better than the top guys who have been isolated for much longer. But still on the most important matter, which time we go marry, princess? |
safarigirl:So maybe candidates should spend more time letting people know their symbol. |
ItsMeAboki:Don't you mean PDP, bros? |

Yeah, how could I have skipped the Tivs? They are found in the north-central, north-east and south-south. |
aydotaone:Yeah, but why have I not been added? Please, help me tell him to add me too na. |
Mobilia:Dog is a delicacy in a few other places. Calabar people are just unfortunate to be flag bearers, lol. Among Yorubas it's the Ondo people that get the sticker but they are not the only ones that eat it. To Muslims eating dogs is considered unclean. Traditionally, male Yorubas prostrate while females kneel to greet elders. These days men just bow and women bend their knees. Google the controversial image of Theresa may genuflecting to the queen of England to understand how women greet their elders in Yoruba land. Of course not with a hand shake as in the picture. It is not seen as respectful to most Yoruba elders for a younger person to extend their hand first for a handshake. They expect you to wait for them to do so first . Although, you should be the first to greet when you meet an elder. Lagos is cosmopolitan so you may choose to or not to genuflect. What I think is generally acceptable is to add "sir" and "ma" when you greet them and just generally be courteous in the European or American sense. I was raised in Abuja but I am from and had my university education in the west. In Abuja, after English and pidgin English, the most spoken language is Hausa. Although it is our capital city, it is geographically northern. All the sates surrounding it are geo-politically northern sates. However, it is the most truly Nigerian city in the country as virtually every group is very well represented. Before it became our capital, government starting from the '80s, began relocating civil servants from every state of the country to work here. So the city has maintained that national character ever since. I wish every place in the country were like Abuja in the way you have a mix of every group. There are too many tribes to talk about. Here are some dominant ones and the regions they live. These are according to their geopolitical zones. South-South Ikwere (linguistically classified as igboid) Izon or Ijaw Edo Urhobo Itsekiri (linguistically classified as Yoruboid) North-central Nupe Igala (linguitically classified as Yoruboid) Gbagyi Igbira North-east Kanuri Jukun Each one of these groups have their unique identities culture and languages separate from the three major languages. |
XhosaNostra:After a borehole is drilled, if it is not maintained, it closes up. You'll be fine there. Trust me, I know these things. |
XhosaNostra:Maybe you should enter a convent. Lol |
Kingosytex:Sowore is top three. You say he can't come fifth. I will remind you when it happens. Please don't deactivate this your account. |
Satan66:It is evident you have not read about Paul Kagame and the transformation that's been going on in Rwanda since like year 2000. It's not every country that's on your level in Nigeria. They are a small country but they are not our mate. Abeg just use Google "Paul Kagame" and "transformation of Rwanda". |
Satan66:Are speaking from a parochial Nigerian perspective or from a worldwide perspective? |
XhosaNostra:I can never be caught dead dwelling on such issues. How does that help me make an impact in my community? How far, Southy gal? |
hundredrivas:He is campaigning with donations from well meaning Nigerians. He has a gofundme account where people donate money. And Nigerians have donated over $100,000. The money people have donated will be enough because he is not sharing money. The masses are fully behind him. |
Racoon:So for your own mind Garba Shehu na human resource? That guy has done more harm than good to Buhari's administration. If it's Atiku that discovered him, he is a minus for Atiku. |
makavelli47:Wetin be the keywords for the sextape make I search am. |
The Nigerian middle class likes to wait for the upper class to endorse a person before they can vote for them. If you are a graduate you are in that class- never mind that you may not be there economically. Your intellect places you in it. Jesus told the Pharisees that they would not accept him because they were seeking one another's approval. The Pharisees were the enlightened people of their time. They were versed in the law and not at the level of the commoners but they needed to see that someone of high social status was vouching for Jesus before they would follow him. Why do we need OBJ, Tinubu, Danjuma, Babangida and other people in their class to endorse a candidate before we support him or her? Are the above mentioned persons in our class? Do they have our worries? When they were in the middle class in the sixties and seventies and they decided to take over government, did they not just do so? Here is the news and you know it: The change you seek will never come from the upper class. No revolution ever does. They say that necessity is the mother of invention. Obasanjo, Tinubu, Danjuma and Babangida do not have the need we have for a revolution. No real change will be brought by the upper class.

biafranation:Take your tribal propaganda to APC and PDP we at the AAC do not have time for such pedestrian tactics. Take it to where it will be entertained. |
Optional09:Welcome sir, are you a member of his campaign organization? Have you volunteered? If so, what part of the country are you Resident? |
Nigerianization:If we support the dying breed their kind won't have to die. Are you for the AAC? Are you for Sowore? |
couragemurphy:He is taking a better Nigeria back A Nigeria where younger people were leading us. A Nigeria where undergraduates were fed by government in school A Nigeria where graduates got employment immediately after graduating. A Nigeria where the naira had more value than the dollars Sowore was born in 1971 and he met this Nigeria So he is leading us to take that Nigeria back. Support the movement Support AAC |
PFRB:He is a vibrant presidential aspirant. Intellectually sound and courageous. Owner of Sahara reporters. Activist and former union president of University of Lagos. He is the presidential candidate of the Africa Action Congress. His official slogan is #Takeitback |
Let's talk about how to support him. How involved do you want to be as a supporter? You know we have no cabal to help us but the people. How do we protect our interest and by extension the interest of this nation? Have you joined his campaign organization if you are interested in volunteering. Let's talk about all these and more. |
Mobilia You are right to think this guy is a fraudster. He is. His tone has changed gradually from the Christian persona he was trying to project at the beginning of this thread to that of a bully as he senses that he is getting into your mind. Now he talks down on and belittles you because he believes he is winning. Then he brings up your anger challenge just to make you look like someone who shouldn't trust their own sense of judgement. He is a manipulator. He is a crook. I want to tell you that nairaland does not reflect the real Nigerian society. It is not that Nigerians don't behave this way in real life. But you can not experience in your lifetime what you would experience here in a month. Everything here is heightened. It's like watching a biopic and thinking the main character's life was as action packed as that less than two hours movie. You cannot have this many Nigerians being overtly hateful, insensitive, impervious, obnoxious and tribalistic at the same time, everyday of their lives, like people are here. 1. I had never heard of the word "Akata" until about two years ago. And it was on the internet on a YouTube channel where Africans and Black Americans were discussing. And I am 35 years old and Yoruba, the language they say it originates from. 2. I have never witnessed a bomb explosion or known anyone who died in one. I read it in the news like you. 3. I have never known a ritualist or someone who was their victim. I like you read about them in the news. Although I am careful when I take cabs and go to unfamiliar places. I take precautions because I know they are real. 4. I knew people who were fraudsters in the University. Some of them friends at the time. 5. Nairaland encourages tribalism that is why it thrives here. The owner has his reasons. I can assure you that it is deliberate. People don't deal with each other that way in real life. Who has that time or energy? 6. In a society where there are no repercussions for actions, people can do or be anything they want. That is what nairaland is. It is faceless and the owners are not doing enough to regulate it. I just said these things because I have gone through some of your posts |
Let Reno Omokri release the full tape if he knows it is not doctored. Just like the Atiku 9mobile and Keystone bank accusation, they have no evidence. They can only threaten. That's the propaganda style they have deviced. |
Paxie55:What suits them is girls that will produce children with their mother's colour ![]() |
Paxie55:So the fake dark guys will then go after the fake light girls? |
Paxie55:But if all the ladies become fair who will the fair guys marry? |
EzegeNG:Picture looks like two men having sex. |
Paxie55:My dad is fair and married my mum who is dark. Maybe all ladies should go and Darken their skins. |
claseek:Very predictable. They should just ban those two tribes from nairaland so that the rest of us can enjoy the place |
