There was no bomb in Kano yesterday. It was a bus tyre that busted and people started running.

I cant believe sunnews can publish this trash.

Yesterday some guy posted a picture of a kid jumping on a burnt police vehicle in Kano he termed it "Shocking Street Support for Boko haram". Police are hated all over Nigeria - by kids, adults even old folks.

Sporadic gunshots continued yesterday evening in Sheka area of Kano metropolis between security operatives and members of the Boko Haram sect, making residents of the area run for safety.

The gunshots, according to an eyewitness, were heard around the area where some vehicles were abandoned but later discovered by the police to be loaded with heavy explosives inside them. The police were able to recover the vehicles during a stop-and-search they carried out in the area.

Members of the sect went on a rampage in their bid to recover the abandoned vehicle. They shot indiscriminately to scare everybody around the area away. They later brought out a vehicle and set it ablaze.

Our source said, "The security and the sect members later engaged in exchange of gunfire as residents scampered for safety", The area was turned into a war zone as exchange of fire between the sect members and the security operatives lasted more than two hours before it ceased."

The state government had earlier imposed a 24-hour curfew but relaxed it to between 7pm and 6am in order to enable people work and take care of their families. But, residents of the area had to rush to their respective residences and lock up themselves to ward off possible danger before the time out.

In the same vein, banks remained closed yesterday, following the apparent withdrawal of police officers who used to give them adequate protection.

Some banks, however, took the risk to open and give skeletal services but closed immediately before noon.

Some members of the public who went to seek the bank's services returned home disappointed as they could not have access to their funds.

However, customers with ATM cards had a little respite as they were able to withdraw some cash.

This is all cock and bull story. A friend of mine lives close to sheka in Kano and he told me there was no any police or army when these guys came. They bombed the police station, set police cars ablaze without any single resistance from the police. Infact there was no any police on sight. Go to Kano now even banks are not working because no police is willing to protect the banks. They cant even protect themselves

The question is this: If the guy was not armed and firing back at the police why did it took the police 5 fvcking hours to tame or kill him?

See how the brother is vowing to his (not being questioned by the police before). Who said the boko guys are ex-convicts

Why do i keep getting a feeling that if Boko haram starts targeting politicians government officials people will start rallying behind them and supporting them?

Yesterday evening these guys went to another police station in Kano and displayed their might and readiness by bombing it and shooting in the air for almost 30minutes. There was a multiple gunshots and the residents thought it was police or army engaging them only to find out this morning that it was only boko haram people doing their thing  .

People were expecting (this morning) to hear the number of boko haram or police casualties only to be told that there was not police or army at the scene yesterday.

These guys are very much around and powerful for our police to engage them simple.

When i saw the picture up there i just SMH.

Someone narrated the sophistication of which these guys carried out the kano attacks and i wonder if an Iman, his deciples or any other Aboki i know and interacted with is capable of doing such without a training synonimous to that of Nigerian army.

These guy dared the security men including the almighty army and until now there is no any single image of a captured, wounded or even dead boko haram member shown to us during the friday face off in Kano. It was clean operation!

If there is no Boko haram or any bombings in Nigeria US will not have any excuse to come into Nigeria and i tell they very eager to come. This is more than GEJ, army or the police. This US playing there script and i tell you it is working.
