youngestland: good day everyone i have just started a masters program in usa and i want to withdraw the admission and go back to nigeria Please i want to know what i should do and most importantly if i will be able to enter the states again because of this
Thanks Probably the most important thing is to ask / talk to your school to get FACTS. rather than ask strangers on here! To re-enter you will have to apply for another visa of whichever type is appropriate. |

You would be better to ask on an active thread not this dead one.https://www.nairaland.com/2656320/usa-visit-visa-part-2/291Read back in that section and you will learn much. Invitation letter means nothing for USA visa. You are judged on you strong proof that you will return home and your finances. |

electronic: Tell your school about your new financial predicament. Let them know it was unexpected. Tell them that an institution is willing to offer you a scholarship. Except they have a scholarship offer for you . show them your account details if possible. The would reconsider bro. Best of Luck. This is not true! The schools have regulations which they stick to. Also many schools are having problems because of applicants using them to obtain a visa then disappearing. (As the OP wants to do.) |

wakaman007: Hi guys. I was recently issued a B1/B2 visa 1 year multiple entry to the US. This was for a training program in Texas. However, my ticket POE is Washington since am headed to Maryland. Can i get an invitation letter from someone in Maryland and use as my reason for entry into the US, or was the reason for visa issuance entered into the system. In which case the Port officer will know that i have changed my reason. Please advice me. I am confused. And to be honest, i don't intend to come back. I dey go na to hustle. You have given the visa officers and security people that follow these boards enough information to identify you. Your visa may already be cancelled or red flagged. You are looking at big trouble waiting for you at point of entry. |

And stay away from agents, you can do everything yourself. Examine your finances to understand what you can afford. Working to pay for study is not a valid option. |

LagosismyHome: Yes you are not permitted to work off campus except for some exceptions and also the work ONCAMPUS is limited to 20hours during term and 40 hours during holiday Also when making your plans remember jobs on campus tend to be low wages and in great demand. Do not plan on working to cover your education costs. Work will only top up your funds. |

mariamadenle: I think this is a best place to get help/answer to my question. please I need you advice Nairalander My advice would be first look at your finances. Can you afford to loose the visa application fee? Can you afford the airfare? Despite the circumstances you will be judged the same as all applicants. You must convince the visa officer that you will return after your visit. (Also that you can afford the trip.) |

JaneAusten: Hello Please I need y all advices here. The problem is I graduated from High School In 2012. Started my undergraduate studies in 2013. I voluntarily withdrew from University in 2015 due to family emergency. I have applied to a school in the US and I have been accepted for Fall 2017. Please when asked what have you being doing since high school, is it advisable to bring up my previous undergraduate studies and say I withdrew due to family emergency or I shouldn't even bother to say anything regarding it. Looking forward to your thoughts Thanks Your best option is always to be truthful. There is nothing wrong with your reason, and you should mention it. Just make sure that your finances and ties to home are good and give them no reason to look further at you. |

rollybaby: @justwise @greene @worry etc pls come to my aid. I have a 6 months UK visit visa that will be expiring by April this year. I will like to know if its possible to apply for a work permit from Nigeria, travel this january and come back few days before my visa expires. I visited last year November for about a week plus.
Note: I really wanna leave Nigeria.
Also I HV a legal online business I am running which I think I can operate from there to mk small money for myself. Pls ur advise is needed. There is no such thing as a "work permit" You can visit as a tourist which forbids working. As a student you can work 20hrs per week, but that requires a different visa. To go to the UK. to work you must be employed by a UK firm in a skilled position. They will then sponsor a visa for you. Anything else is working as an illegal. |

segzy0: Hello Nairalanders, I would like to confirm if it's okay to book a hotel that says "No deposit will be charged"? I want to know, if not I may persuade them to charge my card for one night as to avoid being declined during visa processing. Kindly respond. Thanks Some hotels delete the booking if not paid after some period of time. This can cause problems if an official checks at visa office or point of entry. Make sure that you understand and follow the hotel policy. |

samiam123: Hello. Please does anyone know if the 28 days the money is required to be in your bank account ends when you make the application online or when you have your appointment? My 28 days ended after I had already completed the online application but before the appointment. I would really appreciate any insight. Thanks Your money needs to be there for a MINIMUM of 28 days without falling below the threshold. If it's there longer thats ok. But print your statement as close to the interview as possible. |

My friend was denied today for the 9th time.you know what that means? You to see my guy still cheering up,determined and ready to go back.he made a statement to me that except only if he's body, soul and spirit is out of this world that's when he would stop going to US embassy. It means that your friend has money to burn, but does not have the sense to work out why he is being rejected and put those things right. |
