Visocrate:The same BBC you will soon condemn when they say anything against Jonathan. |
Performance. He is not an accidental president like all other presidents since our return to democracy 16 years ago. |
Visocrate:Is it including the North-East? |
My only expectation from Buhari is GESKIYA- truth. I can't tolerate a president telling me lies . When you say you are still consulting on subsidy and all of a sudden you removed it. If a president could lie, what about his subjects? |
la'anatullahi alaihi- Allah's curse be placed on him. |
Tydies:He will be buried with you. |
His style of leadership that made it easy for us to have 'CHANGE'. |
Beremx:Leave them! A friend told me this morning that the way Buhari is prepared for the work, Nigerians may try to amend the constitution for a probable extension of his tenure beyond the constitutional provisions. I have never seen shameless people like those supporting Jonathan even after the hardship the country has passed through due to his failure. Jonathan has only two credentials; ethnicity and religion bigotry. |
Emphany:Through out this '40 years' you claim; it was mostly characterised by military rule which was fast eroding in the world; no free trade, sanctions from every angle, coup and counter coup. All these were enough to distract any ruler. On the issue of almajiri: Did you care to know its original motive? It was like an exchange program between the various regions in the North so as to foster unity- for example, people from Kano sends their children in exchange with children from Sokoto; and vis versa. That is why you hardly differentiate between Hausas from various states . They are so intertwined due to the almajiri philosophy. Certainly it is no longer popular due to ; introduction of western education, economic downturn and so on. On the issue of development; every part of Nigeria shares that, so nobody should blame a particular state for underdevelpment. Afterall, the Almighty Abuja is still under construction. |
barcanista:Majority carry the vote. Surely in every tribe there are more than ' 10 thieves', but one thing to consider is the % of such thieves among the populace. |
Ramnon2:Boko haram is alien to the North. We in the North are up till now still bewildered as to what it means. When the GESKIYA regime is sworn in then we may begin to understand the true meaning of it. But as at now, we still see it as a political tools in the hands of enemies of the North. |
Other administration stole and left something for us. GEJ, you stole and borrow put for us. What nonsense! We must collect some money from you to enable us live as a nation. I hope you don't call that one a probe? |
Youngzedd:GESKIYA ne. You have spoken the truth. I don't understand why blacks can not just respect anything that comes from them? Instead of accepting the trecking as an innovation from us; modernize it so that we can use it to push our points when the need arises, we are here discouraging it. All these funny games you see in olympic started this way; but when the white men took it seriously, we all keyed into it. |
disloman:I am on the same page with you on this. The speech 'promise' to be revolutionary. |
Rawani:Are you talking of regional rotation or national rotation? If you are talking of national rotation; do others key into it when it is their turn to rule! Mind you that the two Southern leaders that benefited from the GESKIYA attitude of the Arewa jettison the arrangement: Obassanjo signed a pact of one tenure, he jettison it; Jonathan too did the same thing. How are we now sure that others will respect theirs when the time come?. The governors have a very great work to do to develop Arewa. May God see us through. |
Just thinking loud; Jonathan did not envisage defeat. Even after the defeat , his instinct still deceive him that Buhari may not be sworn in. After reeling from such euphoria, he thinks he will put mines for Buhari to match. After seeing the credible ways Buhari and his team have been moving he feels he will make more appointments so that he can still be relevant after the hand over for possible return to power. Jonathan! Jonathan!! Jonathan!!! You are the poison in your party and region ; these they both will soon realise and then make you absolutely irrelevant after you leave office. I thought you were wiser. |
bewla:Daily trust and Leadership newspapers respectively are trying in that regard. These are my favourite papers. |
PassingShot:You are welcome. Sai Mai GESKIYA! |
'GESKIYA' means truth in Hausa language; 'De GESKIYA'? Is it the truth? Who ever spend little time in the North- especially their markets, you will have come across this word. For most people it is a way of knowing the true price of a commodity; Hausa people are known to place a triple the amount of price on a product. This will confuse you on how to bit the price down, but once you say 'De GESKIYA'?; the owner may most likely tell you the true price of it. The GESKIYA of a word is most likely coined from the Muslim holy Book- the Qoran. It stipulates a stern punishment for liars. The North with predominately adherents of the Book may coin their ways of lives from it. The Influence of GESKIYA in politics in the North can not be over emphasized . Most politicians usually ask the populace to give them their Amana- meaning trust during their electioneering campaigns. If you go by the popular votes in the North , it usually move the way of MAI-GESKIYA - meaning the one that has the truth. Going by Buhari's antecedents; this is what make him so popular in the North. The Influence of GESKIYA is what will make the North to continue to vote for credible candidates whom they trust and will deliver as long as votes counts. With the pillar of GESKIYA firmly rooted in the North, I am proud to be from Arewa. |
Somebody should please tell these people the meaning of treason and its attendant punishment as per Nigeria constitution. So that if Buhari begin to implement the constitution no body will see it as a witch-hunt. |
Then refund the money you have stolen. This gentleman statement will not sway any sympathy to your side when the worms are revealed and some of you are called to explain(prosecute). |
barcanista:I am writing based on your antecedent before you decamp from the APC group. Ameachi should be seen as a nationalist and not as a 'Judas'. He is free to associate with any group he deems to. Calling him a betrayer is what baffle me especially coming from 'you'- please note the you in quote. Those that killed their people because of election are the Judas-that is my view. Remember that Ameachi is a governor of his state and his problem with Jonathan is about his state before it went national. About the underage voters; can we just dismiss that as a mare speculation until someone is bold enough to prove the case in the court and judgement is passed based on The 'empirical evidence'. I can also speculate that the underage voter were brought in by the PDP in the North to vote for them. So till the case is taken to court before any tangible statement can be said on that. Can you say that about rivers state where people are already confessing in front of commission of enquiries on how they were brutalize just because they are members of the APC? |
barcanista:You are naturally good, especially on analysing your points. But what surprised me about you is your sudden change to 'ethnoregional champion '. So this is the 'change' you have being preaching to us. |
Even a nursery school teacher must write a lesson note and a lesson plan. If Jonathan refuses to write a hand over note that he can defend within his reign, then Buhari will help him write it when he can't defend it. And that means KIRIKIRI. |
If a president feels he can do this between this short period, then why did he not perform for the past 5 years he has been at the saddle? He should continue to give us a reason why we should ask the new government to probe him. Instead of retiring peacefully, he is playing pranks. If at all he understands the power of the president, then he would know that a mare presidential statement from Buhari on the 29th of May ; ' I declare that all appointments from March 28th till date stands null and void' will be enough to reverse his last card. |
ideykwum:Malign? Haba! Did you read the post at all? If one of your blood was in the midst of those soldiers starved for three days and thereafter left like chickens for the terrorists to come and roast what will you say? Why do you people always bring ethnic blindfold to national issues? |
I thereby declared what Angola Abdullahi said is the truth and nothing but the truth so help me God. Demographic advantage is the panacea to winning election in a democracy. The North in their Magnanimity included 'rotation' for national integration. But the South in their power drunkenness jettison it. And base on Natural endowment - just like the South with the oil, the North is with the demographic advantage. |
An unofficial post! Patience, you inherited the first lady position from a Northern woman(Turai), and you are going to hand over to another Northern woman eventhough you hate them very well. 'we no dey like people from that side'- Patience Jonathan. Aisha Buhari must exert high influence on the other African first Ladies since she is the wife of the president of NIGERIA. If you that best qualifies as a 'Tout'(base on your actions and utterances) could have influence on that Union; how about a woman of class that is well nurtured like Aisha. |
noblezone:You are talking of logic but placing you disbelief on speculation. What evidence as per logic do you have that the guy lied. My reason for believing him is all the drivers plying that rout that testified to have seen him at various parts of the journey. Remember that he did not create any media hype- so the only evidence we could deduce is to ask people living along his rout. The people on ground had testified to the truthfulness of this guy. But we the internet observers continue to speculate. My statement on the course I asked you to place is just the African style of forcing a person to say the truth. You are still calling Africans 'dumb' even after I made an observation on the 'mumu' you called all Nigerians. Take it easy please. |
It would have been used to develop other region. Ask your self if the Groundnut pyramid and the cocoa were from the Niger Delta? I am sure they wouldn't have allowed it to be used to develop the oil if the oil was found in the North. The North are socialist in nature who allowed their wealth to be controlled by the state for the benefit of all while the South are capitalist who have the feelings of ownership of everything around them. That is why they sold every assets of the nation to themselves so that others including their people will continue to be subservient to them. Buhari's administration will revert Nigeria wealth back to the country and send all those capitalist hampering for survival. Dangote shall be the first culprits by Gos's Grace. May be that is why he is looking for investment in Arsenal. For goodness sake; how could you allow one person to monopolize the nations needs? Look how capitalism has given us darkness and fuel scarcity. |
Sorry I don't usually comment on this type of thread, but I am just compelled to do so out of share emotion. 1 the guy that 'trecked' for Buhari did not go public at the start of his trecking because he was doing it to settle his conscience. 2 Is all distances between 'any part' Lagos to anywhere in Ibadan 130km?- oh, so you thought. 3 Where did you receive your moral training from to qualify 170millions Nigerians as 'mumu'- that is the whole population of Nigeria; which include your mother, father, your self and GEJ who your feelings for has turn you to something else. Now I challenge you to swear by what ever you believe in that the Buhari trecker lied. Please remember to include a course on your self if you are saying the truth. Lesson; do not allow your hatred for others turn you to something else. |
