Politics / Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Xander85: 9:59am On May 20, 2019 |
AyakaDunukofia: The airport has been in operation for decades! Is it just last year they discovered all these issues they're raising one after the other? Hadi-Sirika was forced to visit the airport and the governor last year when members of the national assembly from the south-east complained about the poor state of infrastructure at the airport. What has been done since then to upgrade said infrastructure and operations at the airport? Why can't they do with Enugu and Owerri airports the same thing they did with Abuja and Kaduna airports about two years ago when they upgraded infrastructure at Kaduna airport and then transferred int'l flights there while they closed down Abuja airport and faced its runway squarely? Is it because Enugu is a 'second-class city' belonging to a 'second-class and conquered people' and hence doesn't deserve the same attention airports in Fulani and Yoruba regions get? Of course i've always maintained part of the blame goes to our ineffectual elite that don't know how to fight our corner, hence giving Igbo haters like Buhari and his relative Hadi-Sirika the excuse to carry out their dark agenda against us! If Hadi-Sirika raised the issue of abattoir and mast last year, why is it that it's when talk of shutting down the airport and downgrading its status to a local airport surfaced that Ugwuanyi finaly did what he should have done days after that first visit last year? They now came up with a useless excuse of the youths preventing a whole state and federal gov't from relocating the mast....can you imagine? This is the same federal gov't that doesn't waste time in sending down battalions of soldiers to mow down protesting Igbo youth if they as much as say Biaf.... or refere......! Meanwhile the military that are equally impeding operations at the airport haven't moved same way they expect the market, abattoir and mast to move! What do you have to say about Hadi-Sirikas statement that Ibadan is to the west.....as Benin is to the south-south...as Kaduna is to the north....and as Enugu is to the east...thereby downgrading AIIA Enugu to a second-tier airport? Forgetting that it's the only int'l gateway the Igbos/south-east have unlike the Yoruba that have Lagos and the Fulani that have Kano, Abuja and Kaduna. This wouldn't have been an issue if they didn't wickedly remove Igbo stake in Port Harcourt after the uncivil war, and we still saw the city the same way the Yoruba see Lagos and the Fulani see Kano, Kaduna and Abuja! How about the new terminal at Enugu that work on it stopped as soon as Buhari took over, while those in Port Harcourt, Lagos, Kano and Abuja have either been finished and opened or are about to be? What excuse do you have to give on this one to defend your friend Buhari and his evil party? Watching the video i attached, you will see where mention was made of the fact that the existing terminal is a glorified bus-stop and a disgrace to airports the world over! Facilities have been rundown and the entire airport has just been neglected....this is four years now into the administration of Buhari and APC! You posit that Igbos complaining about Buhari and APCs evil agenda against Ndigbo have no reason to....that we're crying wolf, and hence we should STFU! Basically beating a child and not expecting it to cry! You see what i mean when i say Nigeria is holding Igbos down, while it unfairly and disproportionately favours other peoples and regions? Because we're in 'one Nigeria' we cannot now have a standard int'l gateway! Ethnic groups in countries like Rwanda, Ghana, Botswana and even the UAE are no better than Ndigbo....the only difference between them and us is that they're not trapped in a country with groups that hate their guts and who effectively enact policies to hold them down and stifle their progress! 6 Likes 1 Share |

Was watching NTA Newsline, and saw Hadi-Sirika at Ibadan airport to launch the refurbished terminal there. He said something that reveals the plans these northern 'owners of Nigeria' have for Ndigbo and AIIA Enugu. He coldly said, '......what Kaduna is to the north...what also Enugu is to the east...as well as Benin to south-south....and to what Ibadan is to the west. We cannot grow bigger, and can't run faster than our brothers'! You shouldn't read the above statement in isolation, but in the context of the plans to close and downgrade operations at AIIA, Enugu! I've said it before, that when GEJ and Senator Oduah upgraded operations at AIIA, Enugu; got Ethiopian to be serving the airport; and almost finished building the new int'l terminal at the airport.....Buhari and his relation Hadi-Sirika would have been watching proceedings with a rising wave of anger, jealousy and indignation! Hadi-Sirikas' statement above clearly shows their view as to who gets a working int'l airport and who doesn't is based on this stupid sharing formula (a formula that i don't even know how and why it became the norm) that everything should be shared equally between the north and the south. Apparently, some are forgetting that on the day of 'independence' in 1960, that there were two regions in the south as against one in the north....but slyly and while no one was paying attention, these northern muslim 'oeners of Nigeria' have made it such that things should now be shared equally between the north and the south. Hadi-Sirikas' thinking (which got him and Buhari furious and determined to cut those 'nyamurees' to size) is that since Senator Oduah was giving Kano and Abuja new terminals in the north, she and GEJ had no business giving Lagos, Porth Harcourt as well as Enugu same, as this would now mean the north is being cheated when the tradition (please don't ask me how and when this tradition became accepted as the norm 'cos i don't know) is that things should be shared equally between the north and the south! This so called 'tradition' isn't even being fairly adhered to in many areas where you'll discover Alaigbo/Ndigbo are being shortchanged in politics, governance, spread of industries and spread of nation building institutions...but i digress! From the time they took over, Buahri and Hadi-Sirika (his relative) must have been plotting how to bring AIIA Enugu down a peg or two! The fact Ndigbo would not have a int'l gateway in or out of their region and would then have to negotiate the deathtraps that are Nigerian roads (that are brimming with all manner of horrors and evil) just to travel in or out of their region...the fact they would have to endure all this doesn't register with Buhari and his relative; after all, the Igbos are a 'conquered people' and their region is 'second-class'.....ranked after those of the Yoruba and Fulani! You do have to wonder how those naive, self-centred Igbos in that evil anti-Igbo party called APC, and those still shouting 'one Nigeria'...how they manage to sleep at night. Attached is a Youtube clip courtesy of Njenje Media TV that succinctly captures my sentiments on this issue! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9Cs_rwtflc 3 Likes |

hollah123: Quit sounding like a buffoon and point out specifically which parts of Kettykins’ post you have a problem with! Is it his assertion that he doesn’t think there are more than four states in the country more industrialised than Anambra and Abia? Is that what’s eating you up? What’s ‘boastful’ about that? Oya mention five states more industrialised than the two south-east states...i’m waiting! Do Igbos boast more than the Yoruba or Fulani? 31 Likes 1 Share |

It’s easy in a country like Nigeria (and if the hate and envy is strong) to find one reason or the other to do this! Funnily enough they don’t encounter such issues when it comes to the south-west of north! 3 Likes 1 Share |

See how our so called members of the National Assembly and Governors from the south-east haven’t said kpim! The efulefu Igbos in APC that claim Igbos need to be represented in APC...that we shouldn’t put all our eggs in one basket have said fuc’k-all! People like me that know all what Buhari and APC is about ain’t surprised one bit! After now, people castigating Ndigbo for having no time for these wicked people will begin to feign ignorance of their wickedness towards us and be asking ‘why do Igbos dislike Buhari and APC?’ 33 Likes 1 Share |

QueenSekxy: There are some impostors here purporting to be Igbo, and their job is to derail threads like this! How it works is that a Igbo hating bigot that hates threads like this that show Alaigbo in a good light will switch to his 'Igbo' moniker and make a caustic and insulting comment about say Yoruba villages....and seconds later he will switch back to his Yoruba moniker and the derailing of the thread commences! Of course, you do have the occasional stupid Igbo guy that can't control himself as well and gives these Igbo haters the excuse they're looking for to derail the thread! 5 Likes |

Altern8: So the repairs that were done about two years ago when the airport was shut down over the christmas period, what was that one about? They used roadside labourers to do the job, and now it's spoilt again they want to revisit it? Dude, you're happy about the downgrading/closing of operations at AIIA Enugu....quit pretending! Wear your bigotry with pride! As they mentioned billions to be used to maintain the Lagos airport, why didn't the mention a figure for that of AIIA Enugu? I get it....we're second-class people who have to wait in line until the Yoruba and Fulani have got theirs first! And when we do get anything, it dare not be of equal scale and scope as the ones done in Yoruba and Fulani lands! I understand now! 3 Likes |

This is why i say our elite are the most useless! Onyejiocha is even head of the aviation committee in the house isn't she? Imagine if a Igbo president and Igbo avaition minister oversaw the downgrading of the airport in Kano while giving the one in Enugu attention....no guesses for saying what the reaction of the Fulani elite would be! I said it long before that demon 'won' the 2015 election that if by omission or commission Buhari and his band of Igbo hating bigots take over power in 2015, that our collective aviation goose would be well and truly cooked! That all the gradual changes and status upgrades Senator Oduah and GEJ brought to AIIA Enugu (which were making Igbo haters seeth in anger as this wasn't part of the script written in the late 60s to subjugate Ndigbo)....that all this gains would be reversed! The moment i saw Buhari appoint his relation Hadi-Sirika as aviation minister i knew my prediction would come to pass! This is why i laugh at Igbos still stupid and gullible enough to believe in 'one Nigeria' and expect to be treated fairly and equally with the other two major ethnic groups! 9 Likes 1 Share |
