Politics › Re: Ebonyi Government Says The Activities Of IPOB Won’t Be Tolerated by Xander85: 9:47am On May 29, 2018
Baroba:
Isn't amazing how strong the rethoric is when ever IPOB makes a statement, but you will see the likes of Umahi holding consultations with Hausa Fulani herdsmen whenever they complete another killing spree..

The current set of governors in SE must rank as the most selfish, cowardly, insensitive, bunch we have ever had; in my opinion, it is even more imperative we vote them out than the despot Buhari..
As much as i'm impressed with what Umahi is doing in Ebonyi, i'll have to agree with you on the bolded part of your post.

I've always said that a huge part of our problem as a people is the greedy, naive, wicked and lilly-livered elite foisted on us as a result of 'one Nigeria'!

Do you think the despot buhari wouldn't want to rig to see the slavish likes of Umahi, Obiano, Ugwuanyi and Ikpeazu remain in power...esp' if their opponents are independent-minded and Biafra-leaning! This is why i laugh when people say IPOB should form a political party or support candidates or parties that support their agenda. Ain't gonna amount to nada, as the mother of all riggings would be used by Abuja (the owners of Nigeria) to get rid of them to ensure 'one Nigeria' and the status-quo that benefits them is maintained!

They said sit at home why marching on the road and haulting the movement of motorist.

They should just remain at home and reflect on the past.

But they terrorist wouldn't accept it they want to cause problems and rob people using this means.

The protest is not a peaceful one at all.
Why are you worrying where they choose to go or congregate? Doesn't your fulani constitution guarantee them freedom of movement anymore? Last i checked, we're claiming to be in a 'democratic' dispensation with all that is supposed to entail!

Why exactly are you threatened if they march on the road?

sarrki:
Attention?

So trying to dissociate with terrorist association is now attention?
You look at bloodstained outfits like the Nigerian army, the police and the fulani herdsmen....all given a clean bill of health, yet still have the temerity to tag IPOB terrorists!?

The only terrorism IPOB do is terrorising nasty 'one Nigeria' mofos like you! Why won't you tag them terrorists when you can't sleep at night because of them and the fear they will bring and end to this dysfunctional cesspit of evil you call a country?

You fools always like to tell anyone who bothers to listen to your madness that your god buhari has brought and end to IPOB. If this is the case, why are you still obsessing over them; spending inordinate amounts of time on IPOB and Igbo-related threads, and creating threads upon threads on a people you claim have been 'defeated'?

You're deluded AF, and sick in the head to boot!

Politics › Re: In Niger Area, Kill A Person, Label Them Cultist, Case Closed by Xander85: 9:22pm On May 28, 2018
Saves them having to 'investigate' with all the wahala and paper work that goes with it!

Forensic and database led investigations by the police in Nigeria is an alien concept they're yet to fully grasp!

So how do they occupy their time i hear you ask? Well, there's innocent citizens to harass for egunje, and phantom crimes to cook up to stick on those who don't want to 'cooperate'; and for the time remaining, they use it to improve their 'transmission...transmissio....transmission' dance steps! Kindly refer to the relevant YouTube video for a better understanding! smiley

Not all these fools losing sleep over Biafra are 'Afonja', unless by Afonja you mean mean-spirited, two-face, Igbo hating schmucks...of which can be found not just in one region, but also in certain parts of the north as well as certain parts of the south...south east inclusive! smiley

They'd probably walk into your house with impunity, and as you ignore the fools and jejely go to dip a rolled up ball of pounded yam into a delicious hot bowl of ofe nsala, one of them will bend down and snatch the plate off the table while ordering you out to go to your business! grin

Politics › Re: Ebonyi State Journey So Far- Photo by Xander85: 11:59pm On May 27, 2018
You know the federal gov't is stealing the resources of Ebonyi State (clip8, at 9.33), and when the state gov't confronts the ministry of solid minerals about this the ministry tells them that it's their right to exploit these resources! I hope you can all see what 'one Nigeria' is all about? The low receipts Ebonyi gets from the federal gov't while states like Kano and Katsina get a hundred times more makes this injustice and wickedness all the more unpalatable!

Lafarge and Ibeto are fastracking plans to open their cement factories in the next few months (clip 7, at 2.25).

Proliferation of real estate ventures is a good sign that Igbos are now investing at home, instead of in north and SW regions.
I've been seeing some quality stuff on here lately....both private and gov't projects. More effort could be paid to road sweeping and clearing the sides of the major streets of clutter and illegal erections! smiley
Politics › Re: Ebonyi State Journey So Far- Photo by Xander85: 10:48pm On May 27, 2018
Media chat the governor held in Abakaliki recently to mark democracy day. He covered all areas of the gov'ts achievements in the last 3 years...covering all sectors of governance. I have to admit i'm impressed with what has and is being done thus far...esp' given the position Ebonyi occupies on federal funds receipts. Where is he getting all the money to do all these projects and schemes? huh

For those in Nigeria with data conservation issues, it's worth using some to watch these clips (esp' if you're Ebonyian) as they're very informative.

Sullivan did one at New Haven junction leading to PH Expressway or NNPC mega station. I know of tunnels and bridges, but I can't think of flyovers.

But I think that Chris Chemist (along Holy Ghost Cathedral) needs a flyover because that place is usually a chaos during festive seasons

Also, I sincerely think flyovers are built when there's a real need for it. Just like they are constructing flyovers every second in Lagos to ease off traffic gridlock
9th mile corner needs a network of flyovers.

For now, i think occasional visits back home to monitor the business would suffice...that is until a few critical infrastructure are put in place.

I don't know what the fuc/k you are but you're not Igbo! And can someone close to the gov't help us tell them to pull their socks up regarding sanitation and aesthetics in the state capital? The place looks dusty and unkempt, with overgrown bushes all over! Also, the road markings are fading as well! sad

SalamRushdie:
This is huge !! For those who don't understand what this is all about I will break it down in layman's language for y'all below .

So basically Century Oil Corp is a listed company on the US OTC stock market and Ibeto just concluded a reverse takeover of the company as well as the stick exchange listing by acquiring 70 percent of the shareholding of Century petroleum Corp and this means effective from the 28 of this month Ibeto technically owns Century petroleum Corp and which means Ibeto has reverse IPO itself into the US stock market which opens the door endless opportunity for capital acquisition from the international business scene ...Ladies and gentlemen Ibeto got to US stock market before Dangote ....Maverick business master class I must say
Nice explanation.

But can we stop this comparisons and competition with Dangote!? It's starting to get nauseating! It's like we're measuring our success based on Dangotes' own successes. We should aim far above Dangote and have the likes of Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerburg, Jeff Bezos and the Sage of Omaha as our inspiration!

How i wish Anambra state govt will see the goldmine Nnewi is and support it on areas of embedded power generation!. We don't need to wait for the highly ineffective and sectional federal govt to do this!.
There are certain infrastructure that can be termed HEAVYWEIGHT in that when they are built and begin operation, they are capable of turning the states economic fortunes around within a space of say just two years.

These infrastructure are:

1) Embedded power supply to industrial/commercial clusters in the state to guarantee at least 20 hours power supply every day.

2) A international airport that would place Anambra on the world business and tourist map. This airport would make Anambra easily accessible to investors, tourists and our diaspora, as well as create thousands of jobs both directly and indirectly.

3) A rail line linking the three prominent cities of Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi with each other as well as linking them with at least one seaport in either Rivers or Akwa Ibom.

Though the Obiano admin' has done much (esp' in agriculture), i'm yet to see any serious moves to put any of these three economic catalysts in place in the state. If there are any such moves ongoing, i'm yet to see them.
