Crime / Re: Zamfara Residents Flee As Gunmen Kill Over 40 During Attacks. Photos by Xeeman(m): 9:55pm On Jul 28, 2018
dainformant:
Families have begun to flee their communities in Zamfara state following the incessant killings by armed bandits who are yet to be stopped by security operatives. The latest killings happened on Friday (yesterday) after armed bandits killed at least 42 people when they launched onslaught on 18 villages under Mashema, Kwashabawa and Birane districts of Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

It was gathered that many villages were razed down by the attackers.

A witness who survived the attack, Lawwali Mashema, said thousands of residents displaced by the attack have fled to Zurmi town, some 50 kilometers away from their communities.

He said many other survivors are seeking refuge in Katsina state, while others in Niger Republic.

The Vice Chancellor of the Akwa Ibom University, Prof. Eno James Ibanga, said his university does not give admission to students with tattoos.

.
He made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen, saying that students are thoroughly screened before being admitted, also to check that they do not belong to cults. One of the criteria for admission is the no-tattoo policy.

I lived in Kwara for a while and we know how dangerous he is. He thinks only about himself but you just have to admire his political IQ.

In that list, he's the strongest candidate against Buhari. Though Buhari's support in the North is unshakeable.

Bros, if saraki wins the primary election, then Buhari has already won.
The only candidate with mass support at grass root is Kwankwaso.
Many people that won't vote for PMB in the north can comfortably vote KKS.
But one thing is that PMB has lost ground in the north especially Kano.

If this guy happens to run with kwankwaso in the same ticket, you wouldn't be talking of APC and PDP.
Because it's clear now that PMB wouldn't get up to 30% of northern votes and kwankwaso has occupied the heart of Nigerians due to his performance when he was Governor in Kano state.

bahaushe1:
An interesting thread with interesting comments. You can't expect anything less.

Despite the uncouth nature of some of the comments though it is worth following and commenting on.

No doubt the Earth we inhabit does not come into existence by accident nor is our creation an accidental occurrence. There is definitely a supreme being who created the earth and what inhabit it. This supreme being will not prescribe different religions to his servants. This leave us with only one true religion of God that will lead to salvation. It is therefore an obligation upon us to research for this true religion of God and follow it.

How do we identify the true religion of God then?

I personally believe that the true religion is the one that harmonize the three major and oldest religions on earth. A true religion is the one that enjoy it is followers to believe in six basic tenets of faith:

1) Believe in God

2) Believe in His angels

3) Believe in His books

4) Believe in His messengers

5) Believe in the Day of resurrection, and

6) Believe in divine decree ( good or bad)

Believe in God
This involves three things:

Believe in the Lordship of God. This is firm conviction that God is sole creator of earth, heaven, and what lies between them. That He has absolute ownership of His creation, and He is the disposer of their affairs. He is Lord of the lords, King of the kings, Master of creation, and the Almighty.

Believe in the worship of God. This is firm conviction that God alone is worthy of any act worship. Being the Lord, Master of creation, Eternal, and disposer of all affairs of His creation; He alone is most deserving of their worship.

Believe in His names and attributes. This is firm conviction that to God belong the most beautiful names and the attributes of completeness and perfection. He is to be described only in the manner in which He and his Prophets described Him. And that He is one and far above sharing any attribute with His creation. Far above any form of imperfections, deficiency, faults, weaknesses, and tiredness.

Believe in His angels

This is firm conviction that God created angels in a different manner in which He created man and jinn. That they in His constant worship and does not disobey His orders. That they delivered messages from Him to His prophets and messengers.

Believe in His Books

This is firm conviction that God has revealed divine scriptures to His messengers to serve as guidance to their people. These scriptures include the following:

The scripture of Abraham and Moses.

The Torah of Moses.

The Psalms of David.

The Gospel of Jesus.

The Quran of Muhammad, and

Any other Scripture He revealed to His messengers which story He kept to Himself.

Believe in His Messengers

God in His indefinite mercy to His creation choose the most pious among each nation, elaveted them to the highest level of piety and honour and send them to their people with guidance.

A true religion view the Prophets and Messengers of God as His slaves, human beings, created by Him and never His co-equal or partners in His Lordship.

The messengers are to be differentiated from the Prophets by the fact that they are given scriptures.

A true believer must believe and have firm conviction in the Prophethood and Messengership of these noble servants of God without any reservations.

That these Prophets and Messengers range from the first to be sent (Prophet Adam) through Seth, Enoch, Noah, ........ Abraham,...........Moses,......David,.......Solomon,.......Daniel,.........Zachairia, John, Jesus, and the last (Prophet Muhammad).

These noble servants of God have certain things in common which can be used to identify them:

They are all Human beings and well known among their people before they are called to prophethood.

They come from noble families and are the best in character among their people.

They all call to the worship of their Lord ALONE without associating any partner to Him.

They were given miracles as evidence of the divine message they brought to their people so that people of wisdom can easily recognize the divinity in their calling and follow them.

Believe in the Day of resurrection

A true religion call on people to believe that they are created for the sole purpose of worshipping God and that a Day and hour is coming when each and every soul will be held to account for it's life in this world. Those who believed in unity of God and worshipped Him alone will be rewarded with paradise while those who disobeyed Him will be rewarded with hellfire.

Believe in Divine Decree, good or bad

That nothing happens to God's creation without His knowledge.

Whoever believes in the above tenets have found true guidance and whoever doubt or disbelieve have not found true guidance. It doesn't matter what name you give your religion so far it is built on these footings.

May God guide us to the right path, to the path of Adam, Enoch, Noah,................ Abraham, Ischmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon,........... Jesus, Muhammad, and those who follow them in truth.

Ameen.
You've said it all.

Education / Re: Edo University, Iyamho (EUI) Is For The Wealthy - VC (PHOTOS) by Xeeman(m): 3:51pm On Jul 24, 2017
nativeSON12345:
The Management of Edo University, Iyamho (EUI), has said the institution was opened to cater for academically-endowed students and the wealthy in the society.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor, made this known on Monday in an interview with Newsmen, in Iyamho-Uzairue, in the Estako-West local government area of Edo.

“The idea behind the establishment of Edo University by the founding fathers is neither to replace nor compete with the existing Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

“But rather, to complement it in terms of providing world-class education with the best of infrastructure to academically-gifted students and the rich, who can afford the fees.

“People have questioned why former Gov. Adams Oshiomhole did not upgrade AAU, than establishing a new university altogether.

“Apart from its being capital-intensive to either renovate or bring in the needed infrastructure, the idea was to provide a different brand of education to the people.

“We are offering world-class infrastructure and state-of-the art facilities at EUI; that is why our fees are high. According to him, the fees range from between N400, 000 and N450, 000 a session.

“And that depends from which perspective you are looking at it.

“If it is from the perspective of a private university, our fees are very low indeed, because there is no private university that charges anything lower than what we offer.

“And only one or two public universities charge the same fees as us and that also depends on the quality of infrastructure and programmes on offer.

“The idea of the founding fathers is for anyone to have an ambiance of everything he desires abroad in any university environment here,’’ Aluyor said.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Satellite Images Of Mosul, Iraq In 2015 Vs 2017 by Xeeman(m): 9:30pm On Jul 21, 2017
Zoharariel:

So it was Islam who invaded Iraq on false premise - looking for a phantom WMD while using the opportunity to loot Iraqi's crude oil & entire museum?

It was Islam that has thousands of ISIS & Al-Qaeda on her pay roll?

It was Islam that has airdropped weapons for ISIL terrorists in Syria, Iraq several times?

Oh! It was Islam that killed Saddam Hussein just because he said he was no longer selling his crude in US Dollars but in EURO?

Wait!

When British soldiers were caught in Iraq - dressed in Arabian & Terrorists regalia; It was Islam that instigated them or were they muslims?

British Special Forces Caught Dressed As Arab Terrorists

British soldiers have been caught posing as Arabs and shooting Iraqis in the occupied city of Basra in southern Iraq. A group of them was caught yesterday by Iraqi police. They were driving an Iraqi car, wearing Arab clothing, and carrying weapons and explosives.

The Iraqi police were patrolling the area looking for suspected "terrorists" or "insurgents", and they noticed that the men were acting suspiciously. Suddenly, without warning, the suspicious men started shooting at people, but the new Iraqi security forces managed to capture some of them before they could escape. Obviously, if these men had not been caught, the mass media would now be reporting the incident as just another attempt by evil "terrorists" to create civil war in Iraq.

There have been a number of incidents in this area and throughout Iraq in which police and civilians have been targeted and killed by "terrorists" or "insurgents". But this is the first time that any of those responsible have been caught in the act, and it is now clear that at least some of them are working directly for the occupying forces, as many Iraqis have openly suspected all along.

A few days ago, in a statement unreported in the corporate mass media, Iran's most senior military official specifically linked the instability in Iraq with agents of the US and its allies: "we have information that the insecurity has its roots in the activities of American and Israeli spies."

The post-war violence in Iraq is always been blamed on "Islamic extremists" or "rival ethnic factions". Yet in the history of the country, nothing like this has ever happened before. The problems began precisely when the US and UK seized control.

The Iraqi police arrested the men and put them in prison. Unfortunately the police never had a chance to question the men and find out exactly what they were doing, because within minutes the UK sent in six tanks and an elite SAS unit to break their terrorists out of jail.

During the illegal prison break Iraqi officials were held at gunpoint, much of the jail was demolished, and all of the other criminals and insurgents were set free. The US and UK do not hesitate to use violence and terror to achieve their objectives, no matter what the consequences.

The official explanation for the illegal jail break is that somebody thought the British men might be taken away by a gang of Iraqi resistance fighters and never seen again. This is blatantly nonsense, of course, because the entire prison was entirely surrounded by British tanks and troops. With the full force of the British military at hand, the terrorists were rescued quickly and easily.

As further details emerge, the Western media increasingly presents conflicting reports about the nature and sequence of events, and the official British sources cited without question in mainstream news coverage are indicative of a classic disinformation exercise.

When local people saw what was happening, the area began to erupt with angry anti-British protests.

Do you have an idea of how many of these false flags have been carried out successfully by the Amerikan CIA? Do you?

Even the UN Bombing in Abuja that killed over 50 people & wounded over 120 in 2011 was masterminded by the CIA.

There is no Boko Haram, there is no ISIS, there is no Al-Qaeda, there is no Rebel fighters or Terrorists anywhere but the Amerikan CIA, Israeli Mosad, British SAS & M16 wreaking havoc all over the continents in their bid to establish their One World Government - where 90% of the inhabitants of this planet - like you will be killed off - and the remaining 10% zombified.

And guess who is standing against this plot? Putin of Russia, North Korea, Iran, China, Philippines, Venezuela, India & Pakistan.

This statement below was made by the gay Pope in 2015.

“To manage the global economy; to revive economies hit by the crisis; to avoid any deterioration of the present crisis and the greater imbalances that would result; to bring about integral and timely disarmament, food security and peace; to guarantee the protection of the environment and to regulate migration: for all this, there is urgent need of a true world political authority, as my predecessor Blessed John xxiii indicated some years ago.”

Politics / Re: Osinbajo Meets With Igbo Leaders (Photos) by Xeeman(m): 11:27pm On Jun 14, 2017
vicdom:
For those thinking of 2nd civil war and prospects of seizing Igbo properties;*

Biafra will come just like every other peaceful breakaway. Aside those peaceful protesters being killed presently, there'll be no gun shot fired over Biafras second and successful coming.

The fact is that majority Nigerians misconceive what secession entails and are thus paranoid about it, is their cup of tea.

The Igbos trooping up north on daily basis to live or trade doesn't stop Igbos from having their own country, United Kingdom created 4 separate home nations and yet, england is main home to Scottish, Welsh and Irish businesses.

The Igbos owning may be 70 % of homes, estates, plazas and hotels in lagos and abuja doesn't stop Igbos from owning their own country.

After all, Jews own America and come to Israel on visa and yet they're proudly Israelis.

The Igbos will still sell in Kano, lagos, abuja etc markets as foreigners with their Biafran embassy issuing them passports, better dignity & international standard protections just like Lebanese, Chinese etc that operate here.

The process of secession in international laws has advanced, and is no longer fight and acrimony like in 1967, so, my dear Fulani soldiers, stop spoiling for brutality and those waiting for abandoned property to seize, sorry to disappoint, but that ain't happening.
Igbos don't even need political leaders to guide them to Biafra. It is a movement and as such it is the masses that decide.

Check the process of the failed Scotland bid and the recent successful break up of nations across the world. They're masses driven.

Gordon Brown the former British PM, and all prominent Scottish politicians, celebrities and sportsmen all campaigned for Scotland not to secede, yet, they couldn't stop the plebiscite and Scotland nearly seceded, Britain conceded so much powers and autonomy to them, that Scotland has eaten it's cake and still has it. It is a country within a country.

Therefore Igbo prominent men and politicians will be no different and are not expected to fight for Biafra.
Modern secession is a vote thing, and the masses carry the vote in democracy, not wealthy individuals, so, those Aba protesting masses are the ones to decide, not coscharis & Rockview owners.

Biafra will eventually come, and it will bring with it, that illusive value and premium placed on the heads of poor Igbo traders in the north and other corners of nigeria.
This is because, they'll operate as expatriates with visas and a functional embassy of Biafra protecting them and taking up their grievances and forcing nigeria via international medium and laws to compensate adequately for their burnt goods or other infractions.

The Igbo federal civil servants, company and bank workers will transfer to the Biafran branches of same agencies, banks and firms and some logistics on pensions and savings will be worked out.

These things are orderly and the UN have perfected the art of dividing nations.

The Ijaw man fearing Igbo man taking his oil, should know that Igbos have oil & gas in four of their five states, plus coal etc. The Igbo will pay internationally determined prices to use wharfs that are close to them and buy oil & gas from their neighbors, so, fear not too much. Equally, under international maritime and aviation treaties, Biafrans must be allowed to use wharfs around them and pay the prices, unless the nation in question wants sanctions and pariah.
As most western nations have shown, it is not resources that make a country rich. As nigeria has also shown, abundance of resources don't make rich countries.

It is brain, grit, meritocracy, ingenuity and patriotism that advances a nation. The Niger deltans can yet join the movement rather than sit and doubt Noah while he builds the ark.
Anyways, the present arrangement the Niger delta has in nigeria is the worse arrangement for a resource rich area in any part of the world, and I authoritatively tell you this
Nice write up. I cherished your hate free posting wch I never observe from Biafran agitators.
However if Igbos are to continue their businesses in other regions of the country, why do we have to divide ourselves?
Your people are spoiling the morality of our society here in the North;go to sabon Gari area in kano you'll see that all social and criminal vices are committed there, so if we divide and still live together then the problem continue.
Another example is the case of Evans, the notorious kidnapper from Anambra but he mainly operate in Lagos.
I wish you war free Biafra but at the same time pray for your peoples safe departure.

Nairaland / General / The True Situation Of 2017 Jamb Failure -opinion by Xeeman(m): 5:49pm On May 28, 2017
<<JAMB FAILURE>>

The recent jamb failures nation wide can be regarded as a sad and at the same time a good development towards improving education in Nigeria.
Though personally I didn't see it as failure, rather I see it as PROPORTIONAL; those that read hard really passed while many of those that depend on magic centers failed.
Its sad because many of our brothers and sisters would not get admission, but happy because the failure might force us to face the challenges of corruption in our educational system.

Below are the most contributing factors for the FAILURES.

1. PRIVATE SCHOOL PROPRIETORS.
About 90% of private schools now become magic centers where students pays large amount of money to pass O 'level with distinctions. This is the saddest situation because of its destructive effect on education and the society.
Apart from making the students to lost interest in studies, which make them lazy, unproductive and incapacitated, the situation also assist in corrupting the teachers, invigilators, supervisors, Custodians of exams and so on.

2. PARENTS.
It is pathetic to see parents corrupting the mind of their child. Instead of assisting them with extra mural lessons to help them face any exam with confidence, parents now strongly subscribe to paying huge sums of money to magic centers.

3. GOVERNMENT
Government at federal and state level seems to ignore the situation by doing little or nothing to curb the menace.
What is more disastrous than corrupting the mind of our youth?

4. EDUCATED YOUTH/GRADUATES.
Community service is at its lowest ebbs in Nigeria.
Instead of organising extra lessons ( free or with few registration fee) to jambites to boost their Performance, we seems not to care about the issue.
It's unwise for a graduate awaiting result to sleep day and night while our brothers and sisters are in need of your service.

I would like to suggest the following measures as a remedy to the problem.
1. The fight against corruption should be extended to educational sector.
All those magic centers are known, they should be closed.
Anybody found guilty should be dealt with severely.
Any proprietor caught practicing this unholy act should be severely taxed and the school should be closed.
2. Parents should stop patronizing magic centers, they should encourage their child/ward to read hard and pass their exams.
3. Undergraduates, graduates, corp members and elites should join hands towards improving education by establishing extra lesson centres, carrier & guidance centers etc.
