[quote author=Enemyofpeace post=134339663]There's a position you reach in life, that you drop school girl antics. Bianca is a widow, I believe she will have more male admirers, 'toasters' et al, than most Nigerian women but can't you see how she struts her world with class and dignity? Is this lady the personal biographer of Bianca? What makes it theater of the absurd? That she spoke out? This idiotic influencer didn't even care that it happens, she just want it to be kept hush hush. First, it was Yahyah Bello, now, Akpabio. If she worked in the presidency, it would be Tinubu. Hian!!! Only youWhy inventing lies to defend Akpabio? If the OP thinks protecting sexual predators is what is needed to become a senator, she is free to get a ticket. What a scumbag. |
sparko1:You are irredeemably ignorant and still arguing blindly. Were you living under a rock? Osun LG elections was conducted 6 days ago. February 22, 2025. The news was everywhere. How can you not know this? |
tollyboy5:We? When did you become a member of the house? |
Another senseless war on crypto coming. This is how they started by giving Binance a bad name. |
So if Tinubu said Peter Obi is a fake messiah and is desperate for attention, you will clap for Tinubu and cosider it an humiliation? SMH |
sparko1:You should follow your own advice. An election was conducted few days ago and you are saying the case has been on for over a year. Does that make sense to you? I get where your confusion is coming from you think the case of the legality of the APC chairmen is the same as the recent local government elections. You also think the supreme court will rule on a case that is not before it. Absolutely not. The court does not pick up cases from pages of newspaper. |
Wallade:She is herself a lwayer. A lawyer can say whatever they like but a sane judge would thrash the rubbish. It is like a creditor calling a debtor and saying if you don't pay my debt by weekend, you will see what I will do to you. What the hell will it do, where is the death. If such case is reported, it will die at the station no specific threats were made. No crime, no case. |
Wallade:If Akpabio goes down(a political fall), you are going down too. There is nothing to prosecute in such ambiguous statement even with evidence. Where is the threat exactly unless political grandstanding is now a crime. |
Zulu11zulu:Logically explain how the judgement should have gone differently. 1. Should 4 members of the house overrule the 27 members 2. Should an election held without following due process stand? |
tinsel:She will be foolish to back down at this point unless the 35 lawmakers make a U-turn. If she backs down, she will lose speakership and also gets politically destroyed for being a rebel. So, the only move left is to fight until a very likely victory. The easy way to resolve the issue is for Obasa to withdraw his court case and Meranda to resign for someone from Obasa zone to be elected but Obasa insists that he must be reinstated as speaker. Now, he has met his match. |
Michelle70:The court can rule against fraudulent or mischievous affidavit. Imagine if you swore an affidavit that you are 100 years old in order to benefit from an elders welfare package. Your affidavit can be thrown into a thrash can. Remember how the APC lost the Bayelsa election because the deputy-governor elect swore fraudulent affidavits regarding his name. If affidavit are some supreme law that nobody can question, you can even declare yourself a president by swearing an affidavit. Again, can you post the affidavit so we can examine it? |
Obasa has met his match. He lied that she resigned. Even if she resigned that means the house currently has no speaker since Obasa remain impeached. |
simpleseyi:But they lost eventually even though they had the governor's backing and ignored many court rulings. Now, imagine Obasa and his 3 men gang who are not even recognized by the governor. |
Michelle70:Post the affidavit first so we can examine it. |
Bobodee09:It was a foolish move to fight a godfather in first term. Some people think he is brave for doing so but they don't understand that winning the war is better than wining a few temporary battles. |
Wisfem:The supreme court did not ban the release. Constitution and Fubara did. No governor has the power to spend money without presenting budget to the house. Fubara can lift the ban tomorrow by going to the house to present the budget. |
Light777:Don't be deceived. The Chief judge has no say on impeachment. His job is to constitute an impeachment panel when prompted. He can't decide not to, same way a chief judge cannot refuse to swear in a governor or president. It is a job he must perform! He cannot chose not to, or he will himself be sanctioned by NJC for failing to perform his constitutional duties. And if pressured, the chief judge will not sacrifice his career just protect a politician who has two years left in power. |
I trust Fubara, he will overturn the supreme court judgement using his personal high court judge. |
Fubara should avoid Wike's trap if he is smart. He has been ignoring court orders for a while thinking he has absolute power. He must quickly represent the budget or he will be impeached for contempt of court. As far as I know, that would be the first legally-sanctioned impeachment of a governor in Nigeria. Disgrace the court and get disgraced out of office. |
Wallade:She spoke up because she is scheming bastard who is looking for Akpabio's good grace. The issue isn't about who follows or doesn't follow rules, it is whether Akpabio harassed Natasha. Whether Natasha is an armed robber, kidnapper or what have you is irrelevant. Guess the number of mushroom women groups who have also come to Akpabio's defense? Someone is obviously running a PR. In fact, most men in the Senate will now be avoiding the female senators before they will make allegations of sexual harassment against themYou don't even know how the senate works. Do you think senators are expected to be personal friends who hang out privately? The only way to avoid the female senators is to resign from the senate! Even in the most wokiest country, no sane person will take such a decision. Let alone Nigeria where you can get away with anybody. Nobody will refuse to vote for Akpabio again because of the allegation and neither will it affect his political career. |
There are lot of idiots giving bad advice online. At no time was Lagos allocation seized. It was the local government allocation that was seized by OBJ. Fubara won't last 4 weeks if he fails to obey the supreme court order. He either represent the budget or get impeached for contempt of court. No other option. |
Obasa will cry at last. No way a 3-member gang can defeat an house majority of 36. Unfortunately, he failed to learn from the Fubara saga. |
Kingibe should have shut up and not get in the middle. It is disgusting to settle a past score using an irrelevant issue. It is obvious she has been looking for opportunity to get back at her "rival". Besides Akpabio and Natasha have known each other, supposedly family friends, before she got elected into the senate. Not one senator has jumped to Akpabio's defense for obvious reason. If Natasha accused another member of harassment, I would have asked for evidence but you see Akpabio's women issue is an open secret. If you know, you know. |
idanone:How rich are you black guy or you don't follow your own advice. Shame on you guys who can't think beyond money. |
baralatie:The judgment that was reserved is "defection", nothing to do with resumptions. I understand your pain though, keep hoping a miracle is coming. |
baralatie:Stop lying. It wasn't fake news. There were 3 appeals and 2 have been dealt with in favor of Wike. The last is the defection which is a mere academic exercise since Wike camp has been restored as the only legal house. https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/articles/cg4kk929rdro https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/articles/c5y221x7xw5o |
Odin13:Same way they postponed the budget and sitting issues when they struck out Fubara's case. Nobody in their right mind expects the supreme court to contradict its other two rulings freezing Fubara's allocation and authenticating the 27 members sitting. |
sparko1:Did the case jump directly to the supreme court? You should learn how the legal system works and not assume. |
All these pretentious Wahabists always nitpicking on non-issues. You guys aim is to erase every cultural identity that does not align with your cherry-picked religious ones. While the interviewer is being mischievious for pressing further, any matured mind understand that "child of god" in that context means "god fearing/morally upright". A connotatively close word in Yoruba will be "Omoluabi". It doesn't mean he is a Christian. Conversely, a lot of people use 'Walahi' in their expression, it doesn't mean they are automatically muslims by using it. It is just a evolved cultural expression! |
Ugochinyere would soon give his own interpretation by 6 pm. Stay tuned. I also heard Fubara is planning to get an high court judge to reverse supreme court judgment by sacking the 27 lawmakers for defecting. |
Saltinny:Sorry, I don't engage retards. |
Mitsurugi:No. There was no affidavit. Fubara planted the propaganda but failed to provide same affidavit in court! Even if there was, an affidavit does not prove defection! Why would they even swear an affidavit? Who were they trying to impress with such? People swear affidavit to gain an advantage or correct a mistake not just for cruise. To legally defect to a political party, each members would have to go to their respective wards, get accepted by the chairmen and then gets registered as new members and pay necessary fees. After then is a defection legal. Merely, dancing on video or attending a rally doesn't qualify as a legal defection. |
