Your comment show how a typical Nigerian person think how would you say bearing children in numbers it’s an investment what about you as parent working hard to have a formidable life for yourself so that when your child grow up and still yet to have a better life you won’t pile pressure on him/her to start giving you money. This kind of thought it’s what is bringing this country backward, we need to change the way we thinks
Without such thought, you will probably be living under bridge while scraping by.

It means every Igbo woman you come across is into prostitution one way or another,
that is why brothel business is the most profitable in your region where husbands and
their wives concubine fight dirty whenever they spot each other.

We don't know the full story. Some people are very unaware of themselves & their actions. Maybe she sees herself as a victim, but when you find out the whole story, you might think otherwise. I don't know their situation, so I can't be going only by what she says. Sorry. Two sides.
You only need two sides when you want to judge who is right and wrong based on previous actions
which I think it is unnecessary in this case since we will never know what happened between them.

It is however wrong for the mother to pretend that all is well when they are estranged in real life
(regardless of the reason for the estrangement) unless the daughter is lying and they have a lovely
mother-daughter relationship in real life. Then we have to wonder why a daughter who have a great
relationship with her mother will come on twitter to deny her.

It's true, that show is very touching. Two sides to every story, some children are very disrespectful to their parents, only for them to turn around & pull out the victim card. When I watch it, I listen to both sides & decide for myself. Because the "complainant", is some of the cases, is usually the shìt starter.
I see no reason why a responsible mother will be celebrating her estranged daughter
on twitter. The lady couldn't be playing the victim card because she was merely reacting
to a false claim.

Good for you.
Dear "mental health practitioner",
You are free to not have kids so you can face your career and life squarely and not be distracted.
Also, you should never marry(because that is a bigger burden).
Don't forget to cut off all your friends since they can be a source of burden to you.
I will also advice you delete all your social media accounts, since they introduce some
burdens into your life.

However, we won't want to see your post later in life about how miserable you have become.

The day you stop having a burden you are dead!

Lagos state simply created an opportunity for other states especially Ogun State. The greed of Tinubu and cohorts will make Lagos fall from grace to grass.
Some of the greatest opportunity sprung out from necessity .
I've been telling anyone who wish to hear to "leave the hype of Lagos and go have even if its a little investment your hometown", this one is yet another warning.

Jimi Agbaje would have been a better option but some oloriburuku's voted APC.
The Oba that endorsed APC and threatened people with drowning wouldn't pay any of these tax and that should teach most Lagosians a deep lesson.

Perfectly written article. When we keep singing praise of the Tinubu dynasty that's the result. Exploitation.

I wonder what leaders like Lateef Jakande and Awolowo will be thinking wherever they are. Jakande housing scheme is still being felt till date by the masses and without mincing of words I think it's the most successful mass housing scheme in Nigeria so far. We must tell ourselves the truth. Tinubu and his puppets have not done anything worthy of mention for the masses.

They are simply supplying the needs of the elites at the expense of the masses that is why they keep grabbing lands from indigenous people without any monetary settlement, only to build sky scrappers for the elites. At every junction you have touts collecting insane amount of money on a daily basis while there is a huge pothole at the same junction.

I hope that at some point we will ask ourselves is development made for Man or Man made for development. In the case of Lagos it's obviously the later.
Lazy ass like you will visit London and not note that the country was built for elites, you
will even take the opportunity to insult your country.
I guess it is only the elites that needs good road and security, poverty-stricken people
like you prefer to live inside gutters while commuting using camels and horses.

Do you think developed countries were built using magic? Educated illiterate.

The Nigerian government is one of the laziest governments of n the world. It wants to raise billions through tax alone and as a result, it is overtaxing its citizens.

Tax/charges is only one source of income for the government. What happened to income from tourism, state owned corporations and revenue from investment funds.

The high taxes that Lagos govt has been enjoying have not been used for anything reasonable.

Many people pay land use charge, yet their roads are not tarred. Where is the electricity to support manufacturing companies and other businesses? Schools have to pay police for security for children.

What are theses taxes and fines used for? Hmmm?
This is nothing but Ignorance, which developed country doesn't have tax as its main source of revenue?

This is just too good.

I keep reading about successful young people/youths on quora.com, one thing they have in common is this: "one thing I stopped doing to focus in my development is that I deleted my Facebook and Instagram accounts."

Those things are nothing but waste of time. I can't even remember the last time I visited Facebook. I uninstalled the app over two years ago. I don't have an Instagram account, nor Snapchat. Even Twitter is once in a while just because it's matured.
Good that it was your decision and not some government forcing you to abandon them.
