kalvoken:You are a pervert. You can't reason outside of sex even on neutral topics but you are busy projecting yourself unto others. SMH |
cray91:You think too highly of Nigerians. Thousands of Nigerians lose their money to Nigeria fraudster every year. Even our banks lose billions but don't do full disclosure. Nigerians are as gullible as any other nationalities. The reason most fraudsters look outward is because of ROI, it is better getting $50,000 from some white old man than wiping a million Naira from a Nigerian account. But the fraudsters are gradually looking inward for their fraudulent scheme. Also, the majority of big-dollar fraud is done via impersonation of business or individuals. Those who promise someone a cut are stealing crumbs compare to impersonators. Those Americans themselves are foolish i still stand with my smart naija brothers anyway, Bleep white greedy and bastard motherfuckersOf course, you would. Proceeds of fraud can be quite seducing. I hope you also stand by the "smart" naija politicians who promise and fail the greedy Nigerian voters every four years. BTW, fraudsters are actually dumber than the average. That is why they can't survive without fraud. |
Wetabix:The kind of poverty that will make you die to covet a peanut paid into your account is out of this world. It must be that kind that turns some starving people to cannibals. I empathize with you. Your life is not fair. |
kalufelix:You guys will be a good match. Imagine regularly fleecing your wife of money while she lies and exaggerates to extort you back. It will be a match made in heaven. |
Wetabix:And you wonder why you are in poverty? Hustling fraudsters hardly progress because they are penny wise pound foolish. |
Saintinoo:Pro-fraudster. What is the difference between you and Shekau, Armed robber, and kidnappers? After all, you also have faults. SMH |
A nation where fraud is seen as "smartness" has a long way to go. That wedding should be permanently canceled. How a person treats a stranger or their property is the best guess of their real behavior. People can pretend when in close company but not with strangers. A lack of integrity usually reflects on every part of a person's behavior including fidelity. |
1x2x3:Actually, it doesn't. You will stop overhyping fraudsters when you could get a behind the scenes view of what they do. A Nigerian fraudster is either a romance scammer, receiver of stolen wealth, or a fake email sender all of which have been done to death. Not much thinking required because there will always be gullible folks out there. Of course, there are thieves who create sophisticated schemes and tools for their trade but those ones are never identified. In case you don't know, what he did was a bank heist and like every other bank heist either online or physical masked hittingNo. He never did bank heist. He was mainly a mule coordinator, helping the other fraudsters receive their stolen wealth through third parties. The fact that he was caught shows his ineptness and ignorance of risks. .....there will always be a trace to get caught, just a matter of time. Kudos to FBI for their intelligence.Really smart criminals are never caught because they don't tie their activities to themselves. Hush is the fall guy and not a mastermind. |
GloShare:Petty drug dealers, muggers, assault suspect, domestic abuses. Just name the crime. The differences between their justice system and ours are the absence of bribery, physical torture and the fact that the court don't want to be seen in a bad light which make them pander to the mob justice sometimes. |
bigpicture001:Though I believe Kemi is unreliable. That's right. But they threaten and psychologically torture suspects. |
Igbochief001:The truth is that Zik had no idea(socialist or capitalist) or never promoted it. Before independence, most companies were owned privately by the colonialist At no time was Nigeria a truly capitalist or socialist country at least not until Buhari started sharing money. We have had subsidized tertiary education and health for long but we aren't unique in that aspect. Education is not meant to be free at all , only the rich or intelligent should go to school ...Education is meant for all that can afford it or get someone(including the government) to pay for them. In fact, a society that abandons early education is headed for doom. It isn't an accident that every country has some form of free education. look at the leaders of the north in those days that really went to school ...u would wonder were the hausa accent came fromWe have some socialist programs but the real problem is that the populace thinks government should be responsible for everything apparently due to decades of politicians promising to solve all problems. Allow free trade ,allow free import , develop your self see the area u have comparative advantage focus there and import the restThis is good advice. |
Balogunodua:I don't agree with the guy you quoted but your rebuttal is also wrong. First, Nigeria is far richer than North Korea. Buildings and Nuclear weapons aren't the measurements of development. Second, you can't compare countries with a tiny and dying population who have a long history of acquiring wealth with a large and growing one. Any poor country with significant that promotes socialism will remain poor for life. Of course, everyone will be equal in poverty. And those basking on natural resources will pay dearly in the future as technology render their demand obsolete. |
Foolish girl laying foundation for a life of poverty. No skills, no education. SMH |
Lethal234:Totally wrong. No society was capitalist until about 200 years ago and neither were they socialist. Feudalism was the order of the day. a society that believe in Family Value and Moral upbringing would naturally find it hard to transition into Individuality and Capitalism. This is funny because the people with these traits are the most capitalistic portion of the American populace. The socialist think morality is a burden and don't give a sht about family. Some time ago I was listening to a presenter on the Radio complaining about our loosing of Cultural Values like language, mode of dressing, greetings etc and I thought to myself, it's still a long shot before Nigerians get it right. This is also irrelevant The thing is our Africa Value make us hesitate and doubt every of our Actions. It doesn't really and I think it is wrong to talk about Africa as a whole. We are very different people with different behaviors and values and living on the same continent can't change that fact. So, it is better to limit discussion to smaller entities we have some control over. The Chinese never erase any of their histories, in fact, they sacrificed millions of lives to preserve it. The mistake you and others make is to conflate disparate issues. There is no connection between the mode of dressing and entrepreneurship mindset for example. Moreover, we aren't actively preserving most of our history beyond sentimental issues and fear inducing superstitions. The Chinese didn't have to lose themselves to progress, they just adopted what works in other places. They opened up their country and adopted a proper capitalist market. We can do the same thing too without condemning everything we have. Also, we don't need the whole populace to fall in line, we just need a few percent to lead the way. |
MrBrownJay1:The above shows that we cannot have a fruitful conversation. If you can't get basic facts right, then you clearly are not equipped for such. |
I don't think anyone has a "normal" relationship in Hollywood. It is all about star power and money. |
MrBrownJay1:You miss the point. There are people also looking for their next meal in every country. It is not even an excuse as the majority of human existence was spent in subsistence living until the industrial revolution. Where did Elon Musk get the initial money to start his companies? It is definitely not from those living on welfare. There are Nigerians with serious wealth lying dormant in various bank accounts. The highest investment they make is buying safe treasury bills. Generally, we lack the risky entrepreneurial mindset necessary to expand our economy. while the Dangotes etc dont give a damn about the poor or building hospitals because they want to enjoy their newfound wealth.Again, this isn't about charity or doing good, it is about a profit mindset. We are afraid of doing anything that involves the risk of failure when failure is a natural part of capitalism. Hence, waiting for government to do everything. Most of those American hospitals were built for-profit and not some pity party for the poor. The best hospitals in the US are privately-owned. Many were started during a period of rampart poverty. The same goes for most businesses. Aside NGO's , no one starts a business to "help the poor". building a hospital in Africa is different than building a hospital in the west. dont get it twisted![/quote]It is not different really. Do African people hate profit? We have a few standard hospitals in Lagos and Abuja built for profit. They are very pricey and weren't built to help the poor. The fact that some countries have emerged from endemic poverty in modern times already prove that the issue is not that some people are looking for their next meal. In fact, millions were starving in China, few decades ago. We are like someone in a pit who needs to get out. But they keep giving excuses that if only they can find a log to build a ladder. The truth is we will never find a ladder unless we get out first! We need to develop a proper capital market for investment. |
@PortHardcore, You are 100% right. I have brought this issue up in some relevant threads and I got attacked for it. People were blaming "our leaders" and corruption rather than face the real issue. An average Nigerian is entrepreneurship illiterate. Our business education involves selling imported or locally-sourced goods in rented shops. The kind of business that has little to no-risk. But no country ever prosper without risky enterprises backed with solid capital |
oppsbel:Is this what your fraudster mentor told you? You have been deceived. You are actually safer being a fraudster in Nigeria than the US. Several prosecutors and investigators will use those idiots to get multiple promotions. don't be surprised if Hushpuppi and Mr Woodberry worked with the US Artificial Intelligence(AI).This will only happen in your dreams. You show your utter lack of technology understanding by talking about US AI when that is a meaningless concept. It is even more appalling that you think a fake email sender and a mule can help the US in any way. Well, they could if they can genetically engineer humans. Hush and Wberry will help them with a lot of things and they need someone like them in there country to make sure there database is secure. The whites are more intelligent than African countries and shameless Nigerian will be criticizing Hush and Wberry. Your government are looting you every fucking days and you keep quite criticizing the rich Hush and Wberry. Wise upStop fantasizing. Those two guys are going to regret ever leaving Nigeria. The kind of psychological torture they will be subjected to will be so extreme that they won't remain the same by the time they are released. Unfortunately for them, they can't play the racism card as there are bigger issues the US is currently facing. |
Tobidarker02:Excuses! Well, not everyone is built for entreprenurship. Capital is never the problem, just an excuse to make you feel good. If you can't solve your capital problem, there is no guarantee that you can run a successful business. |
These people can never let the oil sell at its true price. They can't give up their proceeds of fraud through subsidy. |
kponkedenge:They are businesses they exist to make profit. Unless, they force you to subscribe at gunpoint, rip off doesn't even come close to it. Moreover, Nigerians pay one of the lowest cable susbcription in Africa. |
Is Buhari trying to bribe theguardian newspaper? |
kponkedenge:They are not complaining about revenue but profit. |
martineverest:Amazon and Netflix are bad for our economy because they don't pay tax to the government. Moreover, they are not a direct competitor to DSTV as the cost of data is huge. |
donmarshia:It is a shame really. Business knowledge is almost zero for an average Nigerian. Some people are even calling on National assembly to force a price reduction bill on Multichoice when they are hemorrhaging money due to Nigeria's unstable forex market. I suppose they will drop the sports channels if the loss becomes unsustainable. |
cucumbae:This is wrong. Nigeria is charged less. |
Omihanifa:They are not operating in a free market. A monopoly is actually useless when you are not free to set your price due to political pressure. If they are operating at a loss as alleged. It is better to scrap EPL and Champions league. Business is about profit and not just revenue. |
Nbote:They aren't. DSTV Sports channels are far behind many other entertainment channels in Nigeria. |
itsme01:This is a rape case and it means they are not really equal before the law at least not the way judges handle them in the UK and many western countries though UK has a fairer system. His saving grace is that her subsequent behavior does not match that of a rape victim. Case in point is Harvey Weinstein who was convicted for "raping" some US actresses even though he never forced any of them. Technically, he could only be guilty of exchanging fame for sex which isn't a crime in the first place but the mob already convicted him before the court. There are many ways a person can be convicted apart from rape but the facts seem to be in the doctor's favor. |

MultiChoice can't dump EPL and champions league
the number of adverts alone sef don do them to make profit
