Nigeria actually belongs to the elite. The politicians have 1 aim which is to serve him/herself. When they get to power, they alienate the masses that gave them the mandate to serve. We have to start demanding for the country of our dream.
They always have their way. A country whose supposed citizens are tribalistic.
Even the opposition whom we believe will bring a change, if voted into power may fail us if we(the followers) don't keep them in check.

There was pandemonium today in Sango Ota area of Ogun state as custom officers shot bullets into the air along Abeokuta expressway,leaving a young girl dead.

According to an eyewitness,the decease was hit by a stray bullet fired by one of the custom officers while she was making Amala in a shop at Sango garage.The custom officers deserted the scene without taking care of the deceased.

The shooting commenced around 10am from Joju area of Sango.The eyewitness went ahead to say that the custom officers were pursuing smugglers whom they seized their bags of rice.

Popular Mexican actress and singer Lorena Rojas has sadly lost her battle with cancer.

She was known for her role as 'Isabel Aroyo De Donoso' in the popular 2005 telenovela "el cuerpo del daseo" aka 'Second Chance'.

The popular telemundo actress died on Monday, February 16, at the age of 44 after a seven-year battle with cancer.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 but recovered only for it to come back in 2012. This time in her bones. She dealt with the cancer the best way she could until on November 2014 when she was diagnosed yet again. This time the disease had gone to her liver.

She's survived by her daughter Luciana, her sister Mayra Rojas and her boyfriend.

Following the public tearing to shred by former President Olusegun Obasanjo of his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) membership card, the Party's Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Chief Tony Anenih said the action of the former president was an indication that he has left the party and he would not be missed.

Anenih spoke briefly on Monday in a short interview with State House correspondents.The BoT chairman told journalists that Obasanjo can join any party he so desires to join.

"He (Obasanjo) has the right to leave any party, and he has the right to join any party; he is a Nigerian" Anenih said.

Asked if PDP would miss Obasanjo, Anenih replied: "Why should we miss him?"Asked if the former president was not a big loss to the party, the BoT chairman said: "To us leaders it is not a loss."The former president had been at loggerheads with President Goodluck Jonathan, resulting in the duo engaging in the exchange tirades.

Obasanjo had been criticall on Jonathan's style of governance fueling speculations that he is sympathetic to All Progressives Congress (APC).
