Dear nairalanders, my younger brother wrote his utme CBT exam today (17th march 2015) and this was what happened

after answering all 400 questions to his satisfaction, my younger brother was about clicking the submit icon so as to submit his answers finally, but just as he was moving the mouse pointer to the icon(submit icon) on the desktop screen, a young Lady who was through with her exam and was leaving the hall accidentally stepped on the power cable of my brother's computer system and the system went off. on noticing this, he(my younger brother) alerted one of the jamb officials in his hall about what just happened, hoping his system would be restored, but the jamb official told my brother that the system will automatically submit the answers to jamb database, and he wished my brother Goodluck and told him not to worry.

but I, on the other hand is thinking otherwise, for crying out loud, how will the computer automatically submit the answers when there is no power in it?

it's already midnight and my brother's result has not been released....
please can someone help me out?

Going by Open University Comp. Based exam experiences, I'll say the jamb official could be right. Your brother should wait for his result or visit the jamb site to check the result.

I'll first have to chastise your cousin seriously. Getting pregnant means she broke the safety rule in the relationship. We don't need to play with our lives on the field of mere love flairs.
Now on the issue, she needs to dig deep to find out what's wrong. Especially for the fact that she's pregnant for the guy. If she hadn't gotten pregnant, I could have said she just turn a new leaf and go. Now she's pregnant, and from the story, I'm force to believe that the guy must have all the while looking for a way to overcome his past feelings for the ex. Am not defending him here, but we all are humans. Now she should get matured and deal with it. She should meet with the ex and inquire the real stuff going on and not just assume.
It really hurts but with time your cousin will get healed. This a lesson to us all. I wish her best.

I tell you the truth, it is not about the cain but about the intent. If before venting a disciplinary action on a subject, we take time to analyse the impact on the long run, then we would find out that we've all gone wrong.
Most times, teachers and parents inflicts bodily hurt without considering the mental damage which is even the eternal and hardly reparable.
What i know from experience is that cain does no good as positive word should do. It's good to chestise with rod but i believe that with good positive intent backing it up, we can never have such gory experience of a young chap blinded by slap metted to her face by a principal.
