Where are you not given a chance to repent in some cases? Favouritism yea?

@bolded - that, yes that, is the straw that broke the camel's back.
procrastination is one of d major problems we are all givn chances to repent but we mostly find pleasure in doing wht suit us best. And God gives us the power of choice.im only saying my own view oh i cnt even quote a bible passage as im typing now if d trumpet sounds OYO is my name oh but i knw I've been given enough chances to repent.but wait o come to think of it(4those who doesn't bliv in heaven and hell)if e con later real nko so with the suffer wey pesi dey suffer here e go still go burn 4hell

Really? Then how did that other thief whom was nailed to the cross alongside Jesus Christ, knew when he will die and that enabled him to beg for forgiveness?
yes but he never knw how and when prior to tht time.some die sudden death like accident or gunshot, some sick for months b4 they die, some are sentence to death, some slept last night but never c this morning, etc.in some types of death u are given a chance to repent while there is no chance the rest.but u don't know when u will die until d time comes.thaz why u can't wait till then to repent but if u are given the chance it's left for God to decide ur fate.

Excellent point you have there!

Plus the fact that you can commit the most vile of atrocities during your lifetime, but only have to "seek repentance" from Yahweh at the last second in order to redeem thy soul before you transition to the realm beyond.

Food for thought: what if Hitler, BinLaden or Anini adopted the aforestated measure before they passed on?
Is this not a twisted motivation to execute evil deeds?
yes we wld all av bn doing that but we don't know when/how we will die

moving from naija to Ghana is (a)good, wise decision, safe.(b)bad, foolish decision, risky.if you are an expert:hair dresser/barber,phone technician,motor/motorcycle mechanic, radionic(as we dey call am),A/C and refrigerator tech......and you have the capital to start when u get here or u are good in buy and selling of phone accessories,wears/shoes,jewellery/wrist watch plus d capital to start it and also take cost of living into consideration then "a" is applicable to you. If you're coming here:with the hope of getting a salary job,cos of abeg 9ja don tire me mk i just comot sha,omo i hear say cedis don high ooh,if i get there i go find my way anyhow,i go enter street dey find my level."b"is definitely yours.no offence pls.

yea when u compare the price with 9ja own but if u have ur business it's same thing when u compare the gain u make here to 9ja own.for instance for mobile phone tech to fix a faulty Mic starts from 10cedis which is above 1k naira but u can finish that 10cedis at once to eat

I live in new town but currently in naija now....true that house could be expensive but if you have a legitimate bizness...you will make a lot of profits and enjoy your stay in Ghana but mind you...things are expensive

a tin of malt goes for 6 cedis

Bro i hope u hv planned well and hv the knowledge of wht u are likely to meet when u get to Ghana i.e. What to do when u get there, where u will live, etc and i hope you are not goin with the hope of searching and gettin a salary job there, you can post the reason(s) of going here for more info. Now to answer your question the cheapest transport is to go "half way"but as a first timer that's not advisable so go to mile2 it's also cheap there but if u need more comfort use company transport like abc, cross country and co. Change ur money at aflao Togo/Ghana border

Is this issue of over staying and fines associated with Dubai alone? Is it so in other countries, or can't the person be easily deported on request?
Plus, is it same for African countries?
I don't think any country will willingly allw u 2over stay,if caught you need to be dealt with in accordance with the law of the land ,some deport u within weeks with their government taking care of the cost, some put u in deportation camp(cell)till when they like or when u are able to bear the cost of ur deportation+/- fine but most of middle east countries practice the later.African countries also deport ppl that hv overstayed in their country but that's not takn serious in our ECOWAS.overstaying is not advisable in Asia countries I almost cried when a friend was narrating why he passed through in Malaysia deportation camp.A man also told me how he almost die in Dubai sell cos of fake visa an agent did for him in 2012 and he was able to enter Dubai with it

Martins301:
Let me try and explain to you why there's recession. First, here are certain facts you need to know.

1. Nigeria is an import dependent country. We import anything importable because we most times don't have the capacity or capability to produce them. To import goods or purchase anything from other countries we need DOLLARS. This problem started since 1986 and has been getting worse.

2. Nigeria is a mono product economy. In other words, we depend on export of one main product to get DOLLARS. That product is crude oil. Over 70% of Government revenue comes from sale of crude oil. Without revenue from crude oil, the government has no choice but to borrow to fund it's budget.

With those two points in mind, here's why we are in recession.

Oil price crashed in 2015 from over $100 per barrel to less than $40 per barrel.

This crash was because there was supply glut of crude oil globally. Countries were producing too much crude oil and others started using alternate source of energy.

With the fall in crude oil price, the amount of DOLLARS Nigeria could get from sale of crude oil also crashed.

This problem was further compounded by the activities of some disgruntled sponsored group who started blowing up our crude oil export pipelines and facilities in the hope of crashing the economy.

So Nigeria was not getting enough revenue from crude oil sales because the price crashed and the little we were supposed to even get was further cut off by those blowing up oil facilities.

Remember that it is the DOLLARS we get from crude oil sales that we also use to IMPORT all the junks we need from other countries. This DOLLARS is held by CBN and CBN gives it to commercial banks to sell to ordinary Nigerians to import what they want or pay for services abroad.

The crash in government revenue (DOLLARS) meant that government could no longer support the importing needs of Nigerians. Also, there were lots of loopholes in our land borders through which corrupt public officials were enriching themselves and putting the health of Nigerians at risk. Most of the revenue they raised never got to government. Furthermore, there was need to encourage LOCAL production of the things we were OFTEN IMPORTING. With all these, the government decided to restrict the importation of some goods THROUGH LAND BORDERS.

Please note that the primary reason for the above is because of the CRASH in government revenue or Dollars.

Even with the scarcity of dollar, our desire for foreign goods has not abaited. Since the dollar is scarce, the price relative to Naira will rise. People who still manage to get the dollars at the high price and use it to import goods into the country will have to push the cost to the consumers. That is why you see that prices of goods have jumped to the roof.

The situation has been made worse by greedy Nigerian sellers who want to profit and make quick money from others. They have all joined unions were they agree to inflate prices of goods and services. With a simple call, they all agree and fix price at a certain amount. The result is us being forced to buy them at the artificial high price.

In addition, just before the previous government handed over power to the current one, a lot of politicians stole as much as they could from government purse. They didn't steal it in Naira. They stole it in DOLLARS. Some of them were able to move their loots abroad, some his the loots in their homes and some left it in Nigerian banks. Without this money with government or in circulation, the DOLLAR SCARCITY HAS BEEN MADE WORSE and so has its attendant consequences.

So some of the above is why we are in recession. The problems in this country is much and will not contain 100 books if we want to write about it. But I'm sure you will understand the whole picture if you read this epistle again and again.

If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks.
your illustrations/explanations cover everything. Gbam

A pastor who does the will of God and follows the steps of Jesus shouldn't fear death cos he already knows heaven is sure,he will always be ready to depart this wicked world to everlasting joy but most of this pastors you see don't even sure of making heaven if they die so they still want God to give them more time for them to meet of with His(God) demands. So tell me why won't they scare of dying now

Interesting write up!... you paint a pretty good picture of what one can expect on ground in Dubai. I always thought that if you overstay in any country you are free to leave.....but can be barred from returning.... never knew you had to pay to leave Dubai! Hmmm..... no return ticket.... visa expired... same as Point of No Return.
If you don't provide your return ticket na yo remain inside prison oh until you're able to do that.but if your overstay never plenty u can still pay fine and leave successfully with right to re enter.I heard of a guy who have overstayed for many years after he don send enof money to 9ja and also buy some expensive gold to resell he just go meet them for 9ja embassy with dirty cloth start to they rant for them saying he don tired of suffer suffer life in UAE na sharpaly dem help am arrange Him document without demanding a dime from him forward the doc to immigration for necessary action in few days they called him for immigration he do fingerprinting, eyes scanning and necessary documentations and gave them his return ticket without tasting sell he enter 9ja

is it true that Ghanaian's don't like Nigerian's that for a Ghana landlord to rent his apartment or store to a Nigerian that it very difficult ?
I don't agree with that,if u have ur money you'll get any room of ur choice they normally charge 2to3 yrs and once u can pay you'll surely get it a friend of mine that came in last week just got a room in newtown area no and they asked his nationality before payment.forget about those that always say Ghanaians hate Nigerians I bliv it's what they did that caused it.Take for instance some landlord in east won't giv u their house if they know you're from west.same with some landlords in west won't giv their house to northerners but all these we don't see anything wrong with that but yet we badmouth other country for same
