Nice thread with no insultive comments so far.

I got few questions
1) obviously d poster is not a dullard, he doesn't sound like a lazy fellow; how come a young man of such can't live happily in his home-country?

2) Is the country cursed?
Computers › Re: Huawei USB Modem Unlocker - Download Here! by xreal: 4:03pm On Aug 21, 2010
@ tunscolo
if its 'simless', what's d essence of having it unlocked? Unlocking a moderm is kinda breaking the network-monopoly.

Anyway it can't be.

I've bn a subscriber for virtually all the GSM network providers in naija.
ETISALAT is better compared to others.
I've settled for it almost a year now - no regrets so far.

Culture › Re: Excuse Me, Why Are The Yorubas So Dominance And Effective In 9ja & Abroad? by xreal: 11:48pm On Aug 04, 2010
There are two major reasons for this.

1) No doubt the Yoruba tribe socialize a lot compared to the other tribes.

Yorubas can party on any reason.
A real yoruba wouldn't be happy of the fact that he/she wouldn't be able to wine and dine at his/her burial party.
    Yorubas love music.

2) Lagos being a commercial mega city, former state capital and dominated by yorubas (indigenous tribe of Lagos) ; these makes lagos the entertainment FACTORY and MARKETing hub in Nigeria- any musician who wants to make it must do business in Lagos -  like it or not.
Adding yoruba lyrics in today's nigerian music makes the album/artiste accepted and popular.

@maple
I agree with you.

MRbrownJAY:
come on peeps, if they really wanted to scare people into paying their debts with savage animal then hyenas are too small, NA LION/TIGER ON A LEASH they should take scare people!
hmmm! have you ever seen a lion eat its prey? Lion and tigers carefully tears off the flesh, sucks blood, and may come back later for the bone.

Mr brown; hyena might look sluggish BUT they TEAR bones together with the flesh, blending them into a smooth pate in no time - no time for separation.
My guy, don't ever dare an hyena.
Culture › Re: Hausa Fulani Women Are The Most Faithful Women In Nigeria by xreal: 10:20pm On Aug 04, 2010
Na wah for the references on this thread.

Hausa/Fulani ladies are better wifey materials compared to the yorubas' and igbos'; in terms of beauty, loyalty, been faithful,,, name it.
They possess the natural beauty of naija. They are not fatty as those of the south, neither do they indulge in the bleaching spree as the westerners.

Believe me; the north is your best spot for slim chocolaty chicks.
Check out their tattoos (laali), mild make-ups and not wild as others in the southern part.

Christianity Etc › Re: What's Your Favorite Bible Verse(s) ? by xreal: 11:14pm On Aug 03, 2010
John 3:16

Eph 6:1-4
why? I discovered this verse my self and memorized it when I was 4.

@ xreal and Jaysay: thanks for your opinion. really appreciate it
no probs bro

shilohboy:
The flash code is used to change your modem software to the original manufacturers software. wat i mean is making the Glo logo and all the green "disappear" leaving you wit a "Universal modem" look. Ever seen a screenshot of a modem here on NL with the name "Mobile Partner"?That user has flashed his/her modem to make it look that way
that's great. Can you state the steps to take?
I got my modem unlocked but not flashed.

Pls i need an honest opinion. I wish to get a modem soon. Which one is better? MTN E156G or Glo E160G?
sincerely; my opinion is this - forget MTN's modem
I can't vouch for Glo either.
Etisalat's modem works better for me.

Hello fellow nairalanders,

This is my first time of coming here please I don’t want you to feel offended by my funny questions.

 Does unlocking my modem mean that I won’t have to pay for subscription again?
 According to some postings here, I have to insert a sim different from the sim with which the modem was bought before I can do it. Is this correct?
 If I have to change my sim, can I change to Etisalat cos I learnt is the fastest. Is it true?
If all these are true please I need somebody to help me with the necessary steps I need to follow. Cos I have been dying to get information about this for long.

I use MTN
Model: E156G
IMEI: 357133038874630
S/N: GF5TAA1010711916
Thanks.
First, I must welcome you to nairaland; seun's initiative.
Unlocking your modem has nothing to do with your payment plan.
Once your modem is unlocked, it works with any SIM.

from the details you gave; this is your unlock code : 66774688.

Thanks to the selfless gurus on NL as well as the initiator of this thread.
Good luck.

You alone sound like someone who knows 'as e dey be' for naija

I wonder what kudos is given to NDLEA; they would resell the stuff to the barons.

And for the chinese guy; chinese govt. should know about this, 'cos they kill smugglers instantly ( no story).

That's just one of the numerous reasons Nigeria will 4ever be a developing nation.
Ppl are ready - I mean READY to do anything to ensure their fellow nigerian's downfall; they dnt mind going any length.

I guess the motive of the poster was to make some cool few cash, and probably help solve some PC user's problem.
First, someone challenged the geniunes of the product - comparing it to his without seeing or testing.
Then; someone else went far -disclosing the name of such product which may serve same purpose.
My pain is; all these on the same thread opened by the poster. WHY?
The poster needed litl support; I expected you guys to focus on his charges -ensuring it to be reasonable.
