viviangist: ![]() My fellow Nigerian people sha. So you still somehow manage not to post any link to the "many research" that have been carried out on the subject Chai!!You should have at the very least posted a link to a research paper that discusses the subject. Instead, you posted an excerpt from an unrelated research.. nawa for you o ![]() This is an example that shows why nairaland seriously needs a DISLIKE button. And probably include some action for when the dislike hits a certain number(for example the thread/comment gets automatically deleted ). That shouldn't be a hard functionality to integrate into nairaland. It would save us from these kind of threads as front page would be automatically regulated by viewers' reactions to the thread.Mr. Seun please do something |
tyup:Relax oga There's nothing like "unjustly killers" here The animals were on his farm(probably pests) so he has every right to kill them. As funny as it may sound, there are times you're permitted to kill any animal, endangered or not. When it's a threat to your life, when you're in the wilderness hungry and tired and with no other option than to kill the animal for food. Even if it's the last of its kind on earth, no one, not even widelife experts will hold you for killing the animal... Come to think of it, most people who are arrested for killing endangered animals are poachers, not farmers on their farm. There's a difference. If this animals were in their natural habitat (rain forest), they wouldn't have ended up in his pot ![]() Oga op. You sef suppose reason Ebola virus and Lassa fever before you kee dem na ![]() |
Find out about what Google dorks mean... I really can't get into the details right now... Might do so later sha |
Richnero:Don't fall victim to the NIS officers who extort unsuspecting civilians. Go to the official NIS website or better still follow this thread. Start reading from page165. https://www.nairaland.com/1969461/cost-nigeria-international-passport The process is very easy and you can do it yourself Oggg |

Strange as it may sound, I think you made valid points. From my perspective, I believe most people(Africans and "African-americans" alike) get sentimental when these issues are discussed. It beclouds their judgement so much so that they begin to act like those they are condemning. It's not very hard to pick on an African when issues of race are being discussed; it's as easy as saying the word "black", even if said innocently with no negative intention and before you know it, we start screaming racism. You don't force/beg for respect, it comes naturally when people see the value you offer. That's not to say there aren't people who habour hatred for all other races... |

StubbornGENIUS:I got a momentary ban for posting that ![]() Thanks for reaching out anyways.. I realised it would take somewhere between 7000 - 8000 days to complete going by my plan to post 100 numbers a day.. If it's possible I'd try a thousand numbers even though I know the antispam bot would ban me for it. |
OchoL:I don't know why, I just love it when a person writes beautifully especially when I share your opinion in an argument with someone else ![]() |
EdoFirstBorn:Very good writeup ![]() Makes me wonder if he's the only one deserving of this comment because there seem to be a good number of his kind here whom their comments reek of unthoughtfulness. Like they literally drop a comment before thinking it through, a classic case of putting the cart before the horse ![]() |
Just when you think it's an isolated incident, then someone else shows up with the same attitude. Claiming she designed a logo that has existed since the beginning of the women's rights movement in the 20th century "in under 30 minutes and under a lot of pressure", and even having the effontery to post it publicly, I just don't know what to call that. The lady is just on another level... Plagiarist buruku!! I just hope someone who knows someone who knows the person who created the logo finds out about her tweet, then she'd realize what she's gotten herself into. Yeye copy copy people. Them no know pass to dey steal people work be claiming feminist up and dan AMINDA:

Kuns84:I appreciate your attempt at trying to break things down to her level... I think the guy made sense to a large extent except from a few places... It's not your duty to explain things to a person who has deliberately refused to learn/accept what is ![]() Peace brother |
Nickxander11:Yeah Just find your way to the servicom office there. Make sure you go with all the required documents; photocopies and originals, cos that seem to be the major cause of hindrance faced by most people who have had problem(s) plying the DIY route. Be determined to pay no extra amount to any officer, don't be afraid to politely question/challenge any officer who requests that you pay for services he's employed to deliver and lastly don't look for shortcuts. Do these and you'd be fine. |
Nickxander11:I presume you mean the Arepo along Lagos-Ibadan expressway; if so then it would be best you opted for NIS Alausa office as it's closer to your location. A straight bus can get you to Secretariat (Alausa). The NIS office is a trekkable distance away from the bus-stop. |
Francon:Did you read previous comments? Names of "officers to avoid" and "officers to look out for" were specifically mentioned in some posts... Two officers at ikoyi servicom office you should approach for help are Adamu and Dipo... They tend to be very professional Another thing is, you should have all your required documents ready, that makes it very hard for them to rip you off... |
kenneyyice:It's funny how they all have the same attitude regardless of their location.. I had a similar experience albeit at a different center... I had to go there 3 times before I was able to collect my passport. What made the difference for me was that I was hell-bent on collecting it that day so I wasn't ready for their excuses. I waited for about 2 hours and was already boiling with rage, ready to cause a scene as the officers there were hustling for their clients and totally forgot about everyone else. On a second thought I went to the servicom office, explained myself to a very nice gentleman there, he collected my slip and told my to follow him. He went into a room and told me to wait outside, came out to tell me my passport had been ready before the first date(2 weeks before that day) I went there for collection. I got my passport less than 10mins later. He explained to me thereafter that anyone who registers with servicom should go to the servicom office first to seek help with collection in order to avoid unnecessary delays and endless posting. It's their nature to make things hard for anyone who isn't ready to grease their palms. |
Northurmate:Talented for building something that doesn't fly?? Does it even move? We need to stop all these BS we're promoting. It's becoming too much... He literally built a chair with wings and cover and called it a replica of the super mushshark/Beechcraft style aircraft and people are applauding him for that... We seriously need to think in this country cos calling people " talented" for building anything that resembles a drone or an aircraft that doesn't even move talk less of fly is shameful... |
What's the best name for this government please?? Cos unfortunate is an understatement... They just seem to make the wrong decisions every time ![]() I don't have any business with the feminist coalition but I think if indeed the government is behind this, then they just shot themselves in the foot again cos this makes for a very good headline for international news: NIGERIA ON THE BRINK OF DEMOCRACY COLLAPSE/ NEW LEVEL OF PERSECUTION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISTS IN NIGERIA. And then another cycle of FAKE NEWS! labelling begins ![]() |
One of those comments you read and wished you had an "ifoti oloyi" button ![]()
|
I sometimes find myself reading some comments here and being like "for real?" those are the times I wished there was a dislike button, because to be honest, pressing a dislike button would do yourself and the commenter a better good than trading words and exchanging banters..I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels there's a need for a big ( dislike) button, so my people, tell us how you feel... N.B: you can show us examples of those kinds of comments if you like ![]()

ijustdey:These people and their sponsored media sll seem to think Nigerians are all just one big bunch on morons and dullards who know nothing about how things work I'm tired of the way these people lie just to sooth desperate job seekers.. How would just one company claim it would create 250,000 jobs because of one refinery?? Even Saudi Aramco, as big as she is, doesn't have up to 100k employees The staff strength of Google and Apple combined is just over 250,000 so it even more less likely for that figure to be accurate... It's just sad to see that even our so called media would fall for these kinds of report... |
harrwix:You literally spoke my mind |
supercase1:Ok |
OK2NVME:I admire your writing skill... You're very imaginative ![]() I got carried away and felt like I was watching Seal Team(the series) |
iObEy:I totally agree with you sir ![]() |
Igbosmoker:Alright, I'd like to join the group... How do I become a member? |
Igbosmoker:How active is the group? |
Eryyy92:To the best of my knowledge, draught is just as technical and strategic as chess... It may be easier to learn but then, it's strategies, techniques and tricks are not as easy as you think... It also requires deep thinking, especially if you're playing against a very experienced player who knows what he's doing... Alluding to the bolded part of your comment, it took me less than 2 hours to learn the basics of chess (movement, starting arrangement and game tracking) when I was 12, doesn't mean chess is an easy game... I believe both games are for thinkerers with one more classy than the other for obvious reasons ![]() -Chess also has more possible combinations due to the flexible movement of some of its piece and as a result of this it's play time tend to be longer |
Chai!!
). That shouldn't be a hard functionality to integrate into nairaland. It would save us from these kind of threads as front page would be automatically regulated by viewers' reactions to the thread.
