tracychelsea13: Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been accused of sponsoring attacks against Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Bayelsa State has said.
The party chieftain said Jonathan is still very angry at Osinbajo for repeatedly exposing his administration and linking him to corruption.
The Nembe chieftain who craved anonymity told this newspaper that Jonathan and Osinbajo have not been on talking terms since the revelation of corruption allegations by Osinbajo.
“The truth is that the former President is not happy with the Vice President for exposing the corruption in his administration. Jonathan had to reach out to close ally of Osinbajo before he stopped the attacks.
“This is just the beginning for Osinbajo, there are more attacks coming and if you like more lies. This is payback time for the Vice President. For two years, he linked Jonathan to corruption, now he too will be linked to corruption.
The chieftain says Osinbajo will now see how the former President felt each time his name is mentioned. “Politics is dirty and you have to deploy whatever tactics available. What most of you know as Dubai Strategy is very much alive and even more is coming.
He explained former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar is also targeting Osinbajo. “They are attacking him for different reasons. Jonathan’s reason is different from Atiku’s,” he said.
Adding that, “Atiku is going to contest again in 2023 and he has identified the present Vice President as his biggest threat, even though we know the Vice President is not politically strong, he explained.
“What worries them is that the man has still not spoken to the issues. We know he is using legal means to fight back but the truth is that people are starting to see him as corrupt,” the Nembe chieftain explained.
He said the 2023 election will be the toughest in recent times. “There are too many interests in the 2023 elections. My party sees it as an opportunity to retake power but the APC sees it as an opportunity to consolidate.
“One thing I can tell you is that the PDP are favourites in 2023, we have the backing of the people and we are confident of returning to Aso Rock,” he boasted. I can not wait to see the total fall of APC. |

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Monday faulted the claims of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus, accusing Buhari-led Federal government of rigging elections. The party through its deputy spokesman, Yekini Nabena, submitted that under President Muhammadu Buhari, elections in Nigeria have been free and fair. Disclosing this in a statement obtained by newsmen, Nabena said: “Under Secondus, the PDP has never had it this bad with the opposition Party’s stakeholders detached from the party activities as was witnessed with notable PDP leaders boycotting the Party’s 2019 presidential campaigns and the recent Bayelsa State Governorship bribe-for-ticket scandal that indicted Secondus. “Little wonder, the recent months have witnessed many PDP members resign their membership due to Secondus activities which has brought the PDP to its knees.
The PDP under Secondus is in willful denial of the obvious that under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration, free, fair and credible elections is the new normal. “Voting power is fast returning to the people and the era of stolen and procured votes is fast-fading. We reiterate that President Buhari’s declaration that the APC could have used the military and other security services to overrun opposition states in the 2019 general election but chose free, fair elections is a solid pointer and demonstration of our proven democratic and progressive credentials.”

WINNERSMOG: Miracle Job via Kingdom Advancement Prayer!
In 2014, I graduated from the university; thereafter, getting a job became an uphill task.
However, when the Midst of the Year Prophetic Season was announced, Papa kept saying, “God is a rewarder of those who diligently serve Him.”
I keyed into the word and started attending Covenant Hour of Prayer. Also, I prayed kingdom advancement prayers three times a day for one hour.
This morning, during the Covenant Hour of Prayer, Papa said we should pray so we would not miss our reward in this harvest season.
He further declared that before next Sunday, we would be rewarded. Lo and behold, after the Covenant Hour of Prayer, I got a call to come for an interview. I went for it and when it got to my turn, the interview became a chat room.
The chat was not related to the interview at all and at the end, I was asked to resume work. Indeed, Matthew 6:33 works like magic. I return all the glory to God!

Politics › Re: Repentant Terrorists Told Us Northern Governor Among Boko Haram Leaders – Mailaf by Xscape1993(m): 5:23pm On Aug 11, 2020 |
Le124: Eniola Akinkuotu, Abuja
A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, says repentant terrorists revealed that a serving northern governor is a Boko Haram leader.
Mailafia said this on ‘Morning Crossfire’ programme on Nigeria Info Abuja 95.1FM on Monday.
The former CBN deputy governor said he had a chat with two repentant terrorists who identified the northern governor.
He said the terrorists and bandits were one and the same.
Mailafia, who was the Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress in the last election, said the terrorists moved weapons even during the lockdown caused by the COVID-19.
He said, “Some of us also have our intelligence networks. I have met with some of the bandits; we have met with some of their high commanders – one or two who have repented – they have sat down with us not once, not twice. “They told us that one of the northern governors is the commander of Boko Haram in Nigeria. Boko Haram and the bandits are one and the same. They have a sophisticated network. During this lockdown their planes were moving up and down as if there was no lockdown.
“They were moving ammunition, moving money, and distributing them across different parts of the country.” Mailafia said Boko Haram had already infiltrated southern Nigeria, adding that their plan was to spark a second civil war.
The former CBN deputy governor, who holds a PhD from Oxford University in the United Kingdom, said he was not one to make spurious and unfounded allegations.
He added, “They are already in the South, in the rain forests of the South. They are everywhere. They told us that when they finish these rural killings, they will move to phase two. Phase two is that they will go into urban cities, going from house to house killing prominent people.
“I can tell you this is the game plan.
“By 2022, they want to start a civil war in Nigeria. Don’t joke with what I am saying I have a PhD from Oxford University. I am a central banker, we don’t talk nonsense. I have this from the highest authority, some of the commanders of Boko Haram.” We know that our wicked rulers are the real terrorists, but our God will put them into shame. This, I know & believe. |

Trumpcard05: …APC candidate blames Oshiomhole for his woes, ex-APC national chair disagrees, says no smoke without fire
BENIN CITY – Efforts by candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 19 gubernatorial election, Osagie Ize-Iyamu to make inroads into Edo Central Senatorial District, were on Monday rejected as he was sent out of the palace of the Onojie of Igueben, HRH Ehizojie Eluojierior II.
A palace source who witnessed the humiliation of the APC candidate, who was in company of the former national chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole, said the unwanted visitors were told to leave Esan land as the APC neglected the region for the eight years Oshiomhole was governor of the state.
The source who pleaded not to be named, said: “The two unwanted visitors engaged in hot exchange of unpleasant words in Igueben, after they were told to leave Esan land by the monarchs who had converged on Igueben for the cold reception.
“In the ensuing hot exchange of words, Ize-Iyamu blamed Oshiomhole for his woes in Esan land and other parts of Edo State where they have faced similar rejection, since the party commenced campaigns.
“We overheard Oshiomhole saying he couldn’t be blamed for all Ize-Iyamu’s problems. The former APC national chairman said there can be no smoke without fire, and told the governorship candidate to be courageous enough to take responsibility for some of his past actions.”
The monarchs also cited the humiliation and dethronement of the Onojie of Uromi, His Royal Highness Anselm Aidenojie 11, for their action.

IniAkpanMorgan: "Edo Is Not Lagos": Godwin Obaseki's Ingratituous Bill Of Insult On Tinubu
It is a worthwhile venture when one chooses to stand far away from ingratituous people. They are like the "Bermuda Triangle", always "swallowing" and not getting filled up. And unless they continue to take from you, you have not done anything for them. One thing is sure though, an ingratituous person is an armed "emotional robber".
When a matter is like that, no time should be wasted to attempt to waste time and resources to assist such people. This is why the bill posted as "Edo is not Lagos” is an ingratituous insult on AsiwajuBola Ahmed Tinubu.
Let us recall that the Asiwaju held and lifted former Governor Olusegun Mimiko up to become Governor of Ondo State, to help him grow his South West outreach, but at then end of that effort, Governor Mimko floundered and left Asiwaju Tinubu in the cold. He was ungrateful.
At the end of that political trip the Asiwaju helped Olusegun Mimiko embark on, and when it mattered most to the Asiwaju, the former governor chose to work with erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan than with the Asiwaju. As clearly as pictured, investing his resources in Olusegun Mimiko was a big loss to the Asiwaju - Mimiko should not have been helped to be governor. It is now about the ingratitude of Governor Obaseki.
However, in the above review, of that relationship between the Asiwaju and Mimiko, it is very clear, how, at no point did Mimiko insult the Asiwaju in his show of ingratitude. The same thing cannot be said about Governor Godwin Obaseki, who has taken his own ingratitude to a new level.
Governor Obaseki, who is a secondary beneficiary of the political magnanimity of the Asiwaju, having inherited a political dynasty put in place by the Asiwaju.
"Edo is not Lagos" is a geographical fact when the cadastrals mapping of the 2 cities are considered, but referring it to the politics of Edo State and the incumbent governorship, Edo State and especially Governor Godwin Obaseki has the Asiwaju to be grateful to, for what Governor Obaseki enjoys today as the governor of the State.
Edo may not be Lagos, but the governorship and the incumbent political status quo Godwin Obaseki is currently enjoying was strategically planned in Lagos, sponsored from Lagos and it took the shape and the image of what Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu delivered. So politically, Edo, undeniably, smells like Lagos.
Now, what did the Asiwaju do wrong and where did he incur Governor Obaseki's displeasure?
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a seasoned democrat, is the only Nigerian politician who committed every needed resources to sustain, deepen and grow our democracy: he sustained a vibrant and a dreadful opposition polity until it was victory for the opposition parties. Governor Obaseki should not have expected such a democrat to support his attempt to muzzle 14 members of a 26 members Edo House of Assembly.
The Asiwaju's offence was in telling Godwin Obaseki that he was wrong to insist on a "minority rule" in the Edo State House of Assembly. What was it that promoted Governor Obaseki's fears that Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State did not encounter? Governor Obaseki had a House of Assembly populated by his party men, while Governor Uzodinma inherited an already operative Imo State House of Assembly dominated by the opposition.
The question is: how is Governor Uzodinma successfully managing a House populated by enemy legislators when his colleague, Governor Obaseki cannot manage his 26 members House filled with his party men? It shows that Governor Obaseki is unlearn in the arts of governance. Compare him with his Imo State counterpart, the difference in their experiences is very clear.
So, like Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Governor Godwin Obaseki enjoyed the continuity of the Asiwaju political magnanimity and was ungrateful, but unlike Governor Mimiko who left out adding insults to his ingratitude, Governor Obaseki took his to a childish climax by adding insults to his ingratitude against the Asiwaju.
Unfortunately, Governor Obaseki was blind to who the Asiwaju is: a politician who has "the right to be insulted", a politician who has grown politically through the "insults" he has suffered, and the one who is who he has become through insults from those he "out runs". So Governor Obaseki's inglorious show of ingratitude and his insults can only raise the Asiwaju's political pedestal than diminish it.
But as for him returning to Government House, Benin City, he has lost the opportunity for taking a hard earn political victory for the Edo people back to their mark of political slavery. Indeed it is not proper to "give the children's bread to dogs". And Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is right to suggest the removal of Governor Obaseki and come 19 Sepywmber 2020, he will prove it indeed that, politically, "Edo is Lagos".
Ini Akpan Morgan writes from Uyo, Nigeria via "time.subsidaries@gmail.com" You write out of content. You would have being a very good writer if the above was written on a neural ground. You wrote with a heart & mind full & fill with biasness & hatred. I did not even gain or learn anything new from your unstructured & APC write up. |
