Goodmorning all,@ Ladyguinivere thank u for ur response. Actually a ballon(foley catheter was fitted inside me for 7 days to keep the walls of my uterus apart and prevent reform. I was placed on the pill microgynova(hormonal therapy) for 3 months to promote uterine healing and i also took antibiotics. So to ur question why there is adhesions after the surgery,i guess is bc my doctor is not skilled in the treatment of As. Adhesiolysis is a blind procedure has the tendency of making the adhesion get worse though i read that despite everyone's efforts,often the adhesions reform after surgery,so repeated surgeries may be needed to clear the uterus. But then scar tissue is created mostly from surgery so u see ...it could be such a vicious cycle! @ Tanidabi may God bless u for sharing. Am so sorry u re going tru dis too. I tried gettin in touch wit @Momma2 for d contact of d gynae dat did her hysteroscopy in Abu Dhabi bt ddnt get a response. I cannot affort to see Dr march in Los Angeles or Dr Trew in hammersmith London.

Hello everyone,pls has anyone used horizon medical centre wuse Abuja? I have been scouring the posts for anyone's experience with Ashermans syndrome. Am planning to go for operative hysteroscopy soon. This next step is a big deal for me because i have done adhesiolysis which did not work so a repeat surgery is needed to clear the uterus of adhesion. I really pray for it to be successful to avoid further surgeries. My period is regular but short(1 day)and extremely light,the color has also changed from red to dark brown. Pls mamas dont read and run,pls share ur story,suggestion and recommendation. I would be grateful for any information.

Hi everyone, I have been looking for a place to share my story for a long time now and viola, I discovered this thread.
Please read patiently. So my story goes: I had a miscarriage in 2008,I was 16wks gone already. Had to have an evacuation because I still had retained products of conception.
I bleed for almost 2 months everyday after that evacuation. So hubby and I went for a scan and there were still products left behind which prompted another evauation( we had just got married oooo).
So now we started waiting and waiting for 3yrs nothing. Then we moved to lagos and we started fertility treatments. Clomid from 50mg to 150mg. Scans, hormonal tests, sperm counts, the whole nine yards. This went on for another 2yrs. At some point I was taking injection everyday after my cycle for that month not to mention the emotional trauma and inlaws wahala I was facing.
So my Doc suggested we do a hysterscopy and sonogram after which we would do an IUI.
We agreed and did the procedure, the 2 weeks wait was horrible for us cos we were hoping and praying that 'this is it' but for where.........
It was a trying time esp for me cos I would see pregnant women walking on the treets and I would burst into tears and wonder why I couldn't be like them, sometimes I won't know I have been crying until I feels the tears on my cheek.
A friend of hubby suggested we come to Abu Dhabi that he knew a very good GYN so off to Abu Dhabi we went. On our first visit, the doc did a pelvic scan and saw a white mass in my uterus. She asked if we were on family planning and hubby and I looked at each other like what the hell is she saying?
She insisted that what she saw wasn't supposed to be there and if we were TTC then we had a problem. She then prescribed a drug and said it would dissolve whatvever was there and we should come back in 1 week.
Took the drug and came back a weel later, did a repeat scan and it was still there.
She called in a colleague and they decided that our best option was to to a hysteroscopy and sonogram and I reminded her that I had done this procedure back home in Lag.
We were not prepared for the financial implication of this as you know medical cost abroad don't come cheap.
We had to husttle the money for it ans we were due back to lag in 3 days.
Fast forward to procedure day. No eating the night before and extremly nervous. Hubby couldn't come with me into the theater.
All set and there was a screen showing everything that was been done.
Nurses and docs everywhere cos I was told a bet was going on as to what they would find inside my uterus.
Low and behold they found a bone, I think it was a fermur bone so it was quite large. They had to turn off the camera cos they didn't want me seeing that part. The bone was crushed into tiny bits and was brought out one after another.
We couldn't believe I had this in me all this while and I still had my period like clockwork. No tummy pain nothing except I want getting pregnant.
Doc said I was very lucky because in some cases they would have had to remove my womb if it had been perorated or infected.
And she said it would take a while for my fertility to return so we decide to do an IVF when next we came to Abu Dhabi.
I got pregnant in 2013 without even knowing, no symptoms just felt cold and I was still expecting my period. I had hopes but didn't want them raised too much in the event that nothing happened.
I gave birth in Oct and got pregnant again 7 months later.
We have 2 beautiful miracle baby girls.
So my advice is this; if you have had a late term misscarriage as I did, its possible that something was left behind.
If you can afford it, seek expert opinion outside naija.

Ok house, d gynae I met yesterday discovered that I had alot of adhesion in my uterus as a result of the Intestinal resection surgery I underwent in 2011. So he opted for adhesiolysis instead of hydrotubation, he then inserted a barrier to prevent d wall of the uterus from binding together again. Am on flagyl, doxy n cataflam for 5 days.
Has anyone had success after adhesiolysis?

Gudmorning beautiful people, @ mompurity2 its primary function is to tone uterus. It does cause it to contract so it's said not to be taken during the second half of your cycle bc it's not known if it will negatively impact implantation. Clomid thinned out my lining,although my enemy hav asherman's syndrome which could also thin endometrium.so i want to use RRLT to thicken it.i wil also be taken it wit vit E. @ udoomama am also taking that brand of folic acid,I tab daily. @all 'you can never tell how close you are,it may be nearer than it seems;this too shall pass!' Shalom.

Hello everyone,i am new here.I hav been TTC for 3 years.i had back to back evacuation after miscarriage due to retained product of conception.A year later,i ws diagnosed wit uterine synechiae a.k.a Asherman's syndrome.i went for adhesiolysis,had ballon fitted(foley catheter)to keep d walls of my uterus frm sticking together and did 3 months of hormonal therapy.TTC unsuccessful so i had an HSG again to see if the scarring is gone bt there is still some though my tubes were both patent.my doc placed me on clomid for two cycles;not successful in terms of conception and my linning is 5mm on CD 11. Doc said there is nothing more he can do unless we go d IVF route.Am so burnt out,sad and angry.i hav never heard of Ashermans prior to my diagnosis and nobody mentioned it as a possibility. Sorry for my long post.Fertility blessings!
