PointB:Was there an official announcement to explicitly state what you are insinuating? Why are you pre-empting the announcement of all the portfolios before unleashing your bile on the President. |
PointB:Then why are you attacking PMB when he hasn't named all his ministers' portfolio, are you a fortune teller or a prophet to know that none of the nominees would eventually be named the Petroleum minister? |
Nice to hear that they've reconciled Lalasticlala, Mukina2 please do the needful |

Arsenal prospect Alex Iwobi has signed a new long-term contract at the Emirates and has his sights set on breaking into Arsene Wenger's first team squad. The 19-year-old forward, who is currently on international duty after being called up to the Nigeria squad, is the nephew of former Premier League star Jay-Jay Okocha. Iwobi, who had previously represented England at youth level, has been at Arsenal since he was a primary school pupil and has committed his future to the north London club. A statement on Arsenal's official website read: 'Alex Iwobi has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal. 'Everyone at Arsenal would like to congratulate Alex on his new contract and we look forward to his continued progression in the season ahead.' Iwobi is highly regarded at Arsenal and was part of Wenger's travelling squad on the pre-season tour of Singapore in July and later scored his first goal for the senior side against Lyon in the Emirates Cup. The talent youngster is yet to feature in a competitive game for the Gunners but was named on the bench for the Capital One Cup victory over local rivals Tottenham last month. 'I'm delighted to have signed a new contract, especially with a club like Arsenal who are so big,' he told Arsenal.com. 'I'm happy to sign for them. 'I like to think I have earned it. I have gone through a lot with Arsenal so to have a new and improved contract is very good and I'm happy to have earned it. 'I have had ups and downs. As I was growing up I had a lot of downs but as I get older things just keep getting better and better. 'The ultimate goal is to break into the first team and play as many games as I can.' Plans for a first team breakthrough this season may have to be shelved, though, because, as Sportsmail revealed last month, Iwobi could be sent out on loan to gain experience ahead of a more involved role next term. very cute It would have made more sense if the Senators threatening fire and brimstone had clean records to back them up. But alas, they have forgotten they all have skeletons in their cupboards. I'm patiently waiting for that Senator that would be the first to cast a stone. And as a matter of fact, the constitution doesn't state that the senate has the final say in the appointment of nominees, once it exceeds the stipulated time according to Section 147: (6) An appointment to any of the offices aforesaid shall be deemed to have been made where no return has been received from the Senate within twenty-one working days of the receipt of nomination by the Senate. You approve or don't approve, after 21 working days, the minister is valid. |
Duru1:Not at all in-fact its far from it, I merely stated the main purpose of setting up NCA and how it relates to Diezani. At the end of the day, if she's innocent, let her prove it at the courts. The British government didn't force her on the flight to London, she came in on her own volition and now that she is in the UK, she is answerable to the NCA and its laws. Its not a case of colonisation or Nigeria being an independent state. |
Duru1:The NCA was set up to counter the sources of funding for crimes and terrorism, which trickles all the way down into the British society. According to their website, organised crime blights communities, ruins lives and costs the UK well over £20 billion each year. The current scourge of the ISIS is being funded through illegal proceeds from drugs and corrupt rich individuals in the middle east and Africa. |
For those thinking she will get out of this, they need to think twice. The ICU department that nailed Ibori is not as organised or funded as the new unit. Heck they were just a department at the City of London Police, it's mind blowing when you look at the set up of the new unit, it's like Dieziani just got in for a long day with the Bobs. A new Unit looking for a scapegoat to justify the massive funding they are getting from the parliament, backed by an opposition led FG that would fully supply all the incriminating evidences. |

Ghandi12:Nature abhors a vacuum, the mere fact that the High court and the supreme court rejected his pleas should give him a message that this battle is lost already. But Saraki seems to be a stubborn person, hence his refusal to listen to the voice of reason and salvage what is left of his political career. No matter how hard he tries, I don't see him surviving this. |
Seun:To impeach according to Bigass' post means to bring before a "tribunal" which makes what the OP said to be true. |
The said senator could be Ekweremadu the constitutional lawyer. If so, he is making a grave mistake by joining issues with the CCT. He should have stayed out of this controversy for his own good. |

The Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ajjampur R. Ghanashyam, has revealed how the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation used intermediaries in the annual $14 billion deal instead of just signing a long-term agreement with New Delhi, Nigeria’s Number One oil buyer. Daily Trust reports that the Indian High Commissioner said that aside the lack of long-term agreement between the two countries on crude oil purchases, in 2006, an Indian company, Oil & Natural Gas Commission Videsh Limited (OVL) and Mittal Energy International, which is a joint venture between OVL, an Indian government company, and Mittal Energy a private firm, applied for oil concession. The Signature bonus sum of $25 million was paid, however, neither was the oil concession granted nor the money paid returned to the Indian companies. He lamented saying: “How many years is it? Nine years. Even to get the concession is not possible, and the money is not refunded to us. For nine years your country has been sitting on this, and they make us go round and round and round. We buy $15 billion worth of crude oil per year and we have the potential of importing $50 billion worth of crude oil from Nigeria. Checks at the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Abuja at the weekend revealed that the letter for the signature bonus was prepared by the department, but the former minister failed to sign it until the end of the tenure of the Jonathan administration.” Recall that speaking earlier this week Kachikwu Ibe, the newly-appointed managing director of the body, vowed to implement transparency idea by providing the authorities with the transaction operations reports on a regular basis, starting from September. Unbelievable |
PassingShot:That's the fair thing to do for the forumites to have a balanced overview |
omenka:The TANoids actually ran away from this thread when it was obvious that they were wrong. Lalasticlala please balance the debate. |
It's unfair that the second thread made FP and this one hasn't. The Thread criticising Buhari was wrong and you haven't checked the correctness of his assertions. We need to balance opinions please. Cc seun, ishilove, lalasticlala |
It would be partisan and a disservice if the other thread was moved to the front page, and this counter thread is not moved to balance the views. Cc: lalasticlala |

jln115:I actually like your submissions because unlike others, you are quite factual, thats why I had to call you out on that statement. Apologies if you meant it in good faith, had an off day with a client who was a bit racist on Monday, that might have made it sound off when I saw a fellow african sounding racist. Maybe or maybe-not, but it would do a lot of good if we tone down the insults which takes away the seriousness of the discussions. A smiley here and there would do a lot in reducing the flared emotions. Cheers. |
jln115:What's that supposed to mean? Are we meant to find it funny or what? Sometimes i wonder your level of intelligence with your inaliloquent comments like someone suffering from knismesis. You just can't help it, racism is embedded in your genes. And don't try to patronise us with "she started it first" excuse. This is not the first time, I've seen you make a similar statement earlier on this thread. At first it seemed like a mistake, but you making the same statement to score a cheap point just smacks of low self esteem. If you can't debate or make a submission without a xenophobic inference, take your xenophobic self out of this forum. |

It’s not just you: iCloud is down again, other Apple web services affected Despite being listed as fully functional on Apple’s status page, it seems iCloud is once again down for many users. Reports across Twitter and in our own experience here at 9to5Mac have verified that iCloud and the App Store (and possibly other Apple services) are currently down. Aside from bugging out on native devices like Macs and iPhones, the problem is popping up on the iCloud.com web interface (seen above) and even seems to be blocking users’ ability to open the iCloud panel in System Preferences, as doing so causes both the Preferences app and the iCloud Services process to stop responding. As mentioned above, the App Store also seems to be having some issues with installing and updating apps, which is probably related to this downtime. Downloads from the iTunes Store and iBooks also seem to be affected, though all of the stores still load just fine. Photo syncing across platforms is stalling out for some. iMessage appears to be having problems for a number of users, though others are still able to use the messaging service without issue. Find My iPhone is inaccessible for the web and fails to login from the mobile app. iOS activations are also impacted, so iOS users trying to activate new or recently updated devices will be unable to do so. Not all iCloud services seem to be totally down, however. For example, the Notes and Contacts applications still syncs across devices. iCloud mail can’t receive incoming mail, but is able to send messages for some users. Podcast downloads, while technically part of iTunes, are up as well. Some reports of Find My Friends breaking are also rolling in, but in our testing that still seems to be running.
