We've been doing steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil nightly for about 4 days now, it actually relieves her and helps her sleep for about 5 hours after it's done but then the symptoms keep coming back.
Use a dehumidifier and sleep easier. Our air is very humid with a high water content. The dehumidifier removes water from the air. If you can get the bigger ones like 1.5l to 2.5l ones, the better. You would realize a lower incidence of the sniffles especially if your child has allergies.

Thanks all for the support. It's been very traumatizing for me because I had no clue. I don't know why I felt so comfortable with her. I have been asking myself hard questions. A mum should usually have intuition about stuff like this but nothing. I keep remembering all the times I dismissed my husband's fears as nit-picking because he didn't want a live in nanny.

My first son that is usually quite vocal is now more withdrawn. How did I not see the signs? I have now restructured my business such that I don't have to be making that long journey. Taking a baby in traffic for almost 3 hrs is not a good idea.

God will continue to help our LOs.

Pls someone should come to my aid, my 7month baby have not started crawling but he roll nd turn as he like but not crawling. Why
Cc liftedha.nd, Twogre.atnations, olubanke.mi, realden.tist jazzyja.zz, feddy.7 nd other sabi mama's
No worries. Rolling happens before crawling. I read here that you can use a rolled up towel placed under his arm to propel him forward. Put a toy well out of reach but within sight. Place baby face down on his tummy and use the towel under his arms to simulate crawling.

Conclusion

My first son woke up in all the commotion and came downstairs. Didn't know he had been listening for a while and then told us that she closed the door on his hand that evening because grand mum shouted at her and showed us his fingers. It was just the grace of God that i did not beat that girl that day. He also told us that she used to give Prince medicine so that he would stop coughing. (why? why? Why? without letting me know). Don't know why he hadn't spoken until that day, maybe she used to threaten him, who knows?

There are so many things that happened that day that if i go into it, I won't finish this story. She left that night. I took my baby to the hospital and they had to hospitalize him because he had pneumonia. He has been receiving treatment since. He is getting better and has been discharged.

What evil did i do to this girl? She eats same food i eat, she has her own room, i bought clothes for her, work is not plenty in the house na. I don't expect her to mop and clean every day except weekends because i know she is taking care of a baby. I have never raised my hand on her. What did i do to deserve all these? I can't even continue again because i am now overcome with tears.

Part 2

Same Monday, i got home late as usual and my neighbour, a pastor, met me and told me that his conscience was pricking him. That my baby was always crying. That it had escalated in the last 1 month. That from his house he can hear the baby clearly and he would hear my nanny shouting at him that he was always crying and would leave him to cry. He had tried to caution her but she snubbed him rudely. But that particular Monday, the cry was just excessive and he couldn't bear it. We live in an estate with low walls and Mondays are his day off. He came to the kitchen door to see what was happening and saw my nanny washing outside. He asked if she couldn't hear the baby and she snubbed him again. Next thing he saw my baby had crawled to the kitchen door and was trying to climb down the stairs still screaming. He had to shout and call her attention to the baby. She stood up, picked up the baby and took him outside in the slight rain and put him on the clothes she was washing and kept on washing.

I was so angry! I called the girl (23 years old o) and asked her if any of it was true. I raked for her, my MIL raked for her and started telling me somethings she sw that day that she returned that she corrected. She noticed that his bum was very red and was coughing badly. Turns out that he had been stooling and she would not change his diaper. Usually she shows me his used diapers and fills in a record chart i have of when he was changed, fed, amount of milk, any adult food, what time, etc. Don't know how i didn't notice that the information was always the same every day except the adult food eaten which varies according to my timetable. I thought my bobo had learnt how to stay on a schedule, didn't know this girl was writing fake stories. He had been stooling that day and she didn't note it. He had a fever and was generally unwell. She was stashing his diapers somewhere (why? i don't know). Was recycling his sterilising solution, was just rinsing his bottles and not washing them. I wanted to faint that evening.

Do you know that this girl didn't say a single word she was just looking at us. No expression, not a word of apology. I told her that she should pack her things since she would leave first light in the morning, this witch had the temerity to ask for her salary balance. It was like i should go mad. My husband returned and he wanted to get his belt to beat her that she should leave the house immediately. This girl packed her things and a lot of my sons things and left through the backyard. We had to call the estate to stop her from leaving. This was by 11pm. When she came back, she was complaining that we lied on her head that she didn't take my baby into the rain even though she agreed that he crawled to the kitchen door and was were we usually keep the dog. Can you imagine the boldness? She said she wasn't coming into the house since we were lying on her.

My wonderful mamas, i have some breathing space now to type. Just returned from the hospital and settled everyone in. Let me give a little background to my issue. Bear with me because it will be a long post.

I got a client on the mainland so i had to be making the long journey from Lekki to Egbeda everyday. I decided i didn't want creche anymore because i pick him up too late so i started leaving him with his nanny at home. My MIL and cousin were at home so i felt comfortable doing that. I changed nanny thrice until i got one that i thought was okay.

My MIL and cousin had to leave to other places but i continued leaving him with her because she seemed genuinely interested in him. My husband noticed that whenever you mention her name to carry Prince, he would be reluctant. I felt he was being overly dramatic. His nose was always running and he had an intermittent cough. I later noticed that he was now quite clingy and was such a light sleeper. He would wake up with a jump and start seriously crying until he notices we are still there and he would go back to sleep. He would wake later and not go back to sleep except with my boobs in his mouth and sleep like that throughout the night. I felt it was separation anxiety and sleep associations. Research showed he would outgrow it so i waited for the phase to pass.

At same time, i started noticing a few things about the nanny. I once caught her giving him spoilt milk i.e she didn't throw away the unused milk. She felt comfortable leaving him to sleep upstairs while she was downstairs. We get home quite late so i felt i was being overly critical. My husband was always upset about the matter and kept asking for us to change her but i thought she just needed brushing up and was otherwise very receptive to Prince, my baby.

My MIL returned on Monday and complained that the nanny took almost 15 minutes before opening the door and she saw him with catarrh streaming from his nose that he didn't look okay.

hi mums. plz wat can i do to my bruised nipples. my baby boy sucked it sore right from the 4th day i delivered him and its been a month now .my nipples isnt healing at all.it gets bruised each time he sucks and its giving me fever and severe pains.

av used luke warm salt water to mop d nipples and applyed mentholatum but still no improvement.

how can my nipples heal?
my sons gums is sharp and firm.hes aggresive when about sucking.
I was in the same boat with you. In fact, I had given up on breastfeeding because it was just too painful. Luckily, I confided in my SIL and she told me about a nipple shield. It was a life saver for me. I also started formula so that I could have a longer time to heal. It worked for me. I still have the cooling something I was given for it.

Thank God that it worked. You can buy a dehumidifier if you are boxed up. It will reduce it a lot. Since I got it, I have been sleeping easier.

Hello house. I have a LLB law and B.L law.

My university degree which is LLB law gives me an Eca equivalent of first professional degree and I don't need to evaluate the B.L. Filling my EE profile should I indicate my LLB law as my most recent study. I did not mention my B.L(law skool certificate) at all as am not claiming points for it
I think you should do more research. If you evaluate both with IQAS, you get higher points for two or more certificates. Like I said, do more research.

You can use two bank statements bearing the same address e.g GTBank and First Bank.
Is that what you did, i thought they said they wanted different proofs? I'm asking because i want to learn before someone starts mentioning me all around.

Any thought on Royal Air Moroc please, who has something good to say about them?
It's not so bad. It is a budget airline so don't expect the kind of comfort Emirates would give. They charge plenty money for excess luggage, there is no in flight entertainment and their food is just there, nothing special. However, it is a short flight to Canada and UK, it is rather cheap when you compare it with others and did i mention the short flight duration?

No, you can't. It has to be two different types of proof of address. One type is bank statement, another is an official letter like a letter from your company on their letter head confirming your address. Look in their FAQ for other proof of address that is acceptable.

Hi - to be on the safe side why not stick to these examples from their website: Proofs of address can be anything official that has reached you at your current address and bears your name. We accept copies of documents from ‘official bodies’ e.g. bank statements, letters from a GP, letters from a school or college, utility bills, phone bills etc. Ideally they should be for different months and one of the documents MUST be dated within the last six months.

The only concern I have with driver's licence is that it will not be dated within the last six months.
You need two proofs of address. The second one can be dated within 6 months. It's in their FAQ that you can use your drivers license.

Good morning all,

I want to apply for UK PCC and they are requesting for proof of current address. Was thinking if I can use my drivers license since it shows my full name and current address.

Please advice.

Thanks
It's what I did. From their FAQ, it is allowed if you don't have proof of address in their approved format. But it has to be original and then another proof dated within the last 6 months.

Start with single grain at 4 months like rice or maize. Don't do wheat yet as the baby might react to gluten. Mixed grain like Tom Brown should be after 6 months.

What you quoted above from the CIC website refers to Canadian Work Experience

Canadian work experience

(3) For the purposes of this section, Canadian work experience is work experience that

(a) is acquired by a foreign national in Canada in one or more occupations listed in Skill Type 0 Management Occupations or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification matrix;
(b) consists of full-time work experience, or the full-time equivalent for part-time work experience, with one or more employers;
(c) is acquired within the 10-year period preceding the day on which points are assigned to the foreign national under subsection (1); and
(d) is remunerated by the payment of wages or a commission.
Requirements

(a) must specify in their expression of interest the four-digit code in the National Occupational Classification that corresponds to each of the occupations they have engaged in while accumulating their Canadian work experience; and
(b) must have performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, as well as a substantial number of the main duties, including all essential duties, as set out in the National Occupational Classification.
Full-time work

(5) For the purposes of this section, full-time work consists of at least 30 hours of work per week.

Work in excess

(6) For the purposes of this section, a period of work experience that exceeds full-time work in one occupation, or simultaneous periods of work experience in more than one full-time occupation, are to be evaluated as a single period of full-time work experience in a single occupation.

Below is for work Experience outside Canada

Combination of foreign work experience and official language proficiency

23 The points that may be assigned for a combination of the foreign national’s foreign work experience and their level of proficiency in their first official language, according to their benchmark level as assessed in that language under the Canadian Language Benchmarks or the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens, are the following:

Once the Part time work experience meets the equivalent number of hours for full time work, it would be considered.
