He deliberately refrained from mentioning that the Supreme Court at that time declared Obj's SOE declarations as illegal. Man is clever by half. |
Why is the Youth Minister following the President's son around on a private visit? |
PigTormentor:Hmmmmmmm |
Very accurate! |
Babangidapikin:Have you thought about this new development being the original plan? Never underestimate corrupt minds. |
Shaking my head. This already tells us all we need to know about this government. They are all in positions to serve their benefactor, not the nation. It's not surprising though. |
Most likely you are the one thinking she's into you, she's not. Even if a lady is into you, shouldn't you as a man have some boundaries that must not be crossed? Whether a lady is into me or not, there's no way I'm tolerating something like this. The contact will be in the bin already. |
Hmmmmm the principle of separation of powers and checks and balances in the mud. The earlier we accept that there's only one arm of government presently and not three, the better for us. |
There are other government agencies and parastatals like this too, at both state and federal level. No single productivity or revenue, yet salaries are being paid. |
Solsix:His biggest mistake |
As usual, round pegs in square holes. Every decision is arrived at with some dishonest gains in view. |
Fasindo:They don't even have power to arrest anyone, according to the constitution. Military is for external aggression, not internal unrests, but this is what abuse of purpose does. |
I thought no more fuel scarcity once subsidy is gone. Isn't that what some people who have outsourced their thinking said when their master removed subsidy? How many scarcity have we had now since May 29 last year? Scarcity is beginning to look like a monthly thing now. Okay. |
As usual, leave the main issues and start talking about irrelevant things. It's evident in most of the comments already. The man raised serious issues but see the comment section filled with rubbish talks. "Tinubu is trying his best", when your children go to school and bring back bad results, pat them on the back and tell them they tried their best. Nonsense. "Critics only know how to talk, the man should go and sit down", I think you are just not capable of intellectual discourse if that's all you have to say about the article. Ad hominem everywhere. |
This thing has been politicized. Each region is now clamouring for a development commission in order to have more opportunities to squander the nation's resources. What are they developing? Why are we duplicating government functions? The NDDC was the first, what have they developed in the Niger Delta till now? Rather than all these development commissions, why not adopt a regional system of government? After all, each region now wants to have a development commission. |
It is well. Thunderstorms cause fuel scarcity They don't even add intelligence to their lies. |
Number 1 and 3 never for me |
Shadomaan7:You'd put a party behind bars lol |
Another brouhaha loading. ASUU remains the only union with balls in Nigeria today though. |
Beans a proteinous food? Never! That's one of the wrong things we were taught in primary and secondary school anyways. To the main issue though, for how long do we want to keep going for substitutes? That's the problem with us in this country. Rather than confront the issue and find solution to it, we keep suggesting alternatives. What will we do when the alternatives also become scarce or unaffordable? No wonder our oppressors keep waxing stronger. |
Blessedarethepe:Granted that they are suffering, the question now is, are they actually suffering because the agencies are not funded enough by government or because there are some "ogas at the top" who are siphoning the money meant for the agencies? For your information, I know some of the civil servants in these agencies. |
Blessedarethepe:I understand your point, and I am well aware of the percentage of money they take as running cost. However, the percentage increase of their collection cost is rising faster than the percentage increase of their gross revenue. Let us not pretend as if we don't know what happens in most government agencies in this country. |
The only problem, I think, is their cost of collection rising to over 400 percent while gross revenue is just above 200 percent. That means they are spending more money than they are making. That is bad business. Dig into it now, and you will realise that corruption is at the very root of that anomaly. |
Mariangeles:Lol. I don't think they are scaring people to not eat, rather they are advocating for people to eat right. Many of us are so used to junks already that we think we are being barred from eating if we are told not to eat those things for their side effects. |
Eagleways:I agree. |
Educative. In the world of today, most people consume their sicknesses in food. You become what you eat. |
emorse:Our people are just too gullible. They don't think deeply before taking sides. |
Was subsidy the real problem? No, never. Corruption has always been the issue, corruption in the whole subsidy thing. Who throws the baby away with the bath water? Who stops feeding his or her child just because some petty thieves are stealing from the child? Rather than address the headache, the FG cut off the whole head, while a number of ignorant Nigerians cheered on. |
This people should start walking their talks, not just talking all the time with nothing to show for it. |
Governance is a continuum, but not in Nigeria. There's no continuity. That's why we are where we are today. Politicians will abandon projects initiated by predecessors just to score cheap political points. Yet, tax payers' money is being wasted. |
Vision101:Hmmmm you're correct though. This is true |
Phew! Could it be that the government is then enjoying this weak naira? |
They don't even add intelligence to their lies.
