I have said it over and over corruption fight can not work under GMB because the dullard General want to use evil to cure evil which can never work. He cant be romancing Amaechi, Tifnubu, Atiku, OBJ etc and he wants to fight corruption pls I ask again in capital *HOW*huh Same people under PDP who destroyed Nigeria, looted all, stole all, cripple Nigeria to the ground are same that decamped to APC and GMB want to fight corruption pls once again *HOW*huh

GMB is a joker I bet it.
The Federal Government has NO POWER to probe state government therefore Buhari cannot probe Tinubu and Amaechi. If anybody has the power to probe the tenures of these men, it is their respective State Houses of Assembly.

PoliticsBuhari's Hands: Moses's Hands. by yahrant140(op): 6:58am On Aug 04, 2015
I'm stopping my Buhari criticism today. I've been going on for some time about how he has not appointed a cabinet thereby carrying on like a Sole Administrator.
I think we all need to help this man - to strengthen his hands as it were.
Of recent, news has been in town about his anti-corruptionmoves. Just yesterday he announced that he now knows the banks keeping looted money from Nigeria. And high profile 'visitors' have been 'visiting' EFCC of late. I mean people like Murtala Nyarko, Sule Lamido, Toyin Saraki, Dr Paul Orhii of NAFDAC (Dora Akunyili must be turning in her grave) etc. It is not as if looters will willingly cough up their loots. They'll resist and repel. They'll fight back. I heard Mrs Turai Yar'Adua scampered to OBJ at Ota (or was it Abekuta?)In order that her daughter might not be arrested.
I recollect two incidences that occured while I was Speaker of OYHA. A petition came to me about a former Head of one of the State-owned tertiary institutions then. The petitioner alleged that he stole the institution blind while he was there. I quickly charged the paper to the House Committee on Education. A few days later, a powerful delegation of our party leaders and 'big men' from the man's hometown descended on my office, with the leaders saying he contributed to our election, so we must not disgrace him etc. Then secondly, another petition came about Sumal Foods on Ring Road, Ibadan. It was to the effect that the company was engaged in casualisation which was a breach of National and International Labour Laws. We summoned the MD and the entire management of the company to the House. On the eve of the meeting, at about 12 midnite, one big man called me and said: "Speaker, pls spare Sumal, the owner has contributed a lot to Ibadan'. Again, case closed.
So I began to wonder what pressure Buhari is under now to jettison his anticorruption stand.
Please don't tell me Buhari is strong enough to resist them. For I know the extent that such characters can go. Only yesterday, Obasanjo spoke in an interview about how he was frustrated in bringing our refineries back to life.
It is therefore expedient that we pray for our president and be not quiet as we lend our voices in support of the moves he is making.
In the Bible, Moses had to go up the mountain to hold up his rod in his hands as Israel fought their enemies below in the valley. As long as his hands were raised, Israel prevailed but when his arms dropped, Israel faltered so they chose two men to stand by him to hold up his hands anytime he was tiring.
Fellow Nigerians, let us hold Buhari's hands in prayer and effective noisemaking as he charges at the odious and despicable thieves of our common patrimony.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: "The Best Way To Rob A Bank Is To Own One" - Anonymous by yahrant140(op): 9:25pm On Aug 03, 2015
This rot started from the SAP Program and the so-called liberalisation of Babangida. Who can tell us what happened to the assets of Cocoa Industries of Nigeria, Nigeria Airways, Nigerian National Shipping Line, and the many banks, worse in the banking sector were state-owned ones. Both at state and Federal levels, the elites helped themselves to stealing the "yams" in the barn. Sadly, the monies were taken outside to be applied to frivolous living styles. Go to Indonesia and see what the people who were closed to the old military regimes did with the money they made : Invested at home, Indonesia developed. As for Bukola Saraki I doubt if all those properties were his alone. He was a jobber under his dad in 1990s. Well, Nigeria is unlucky to have a very greedy elite class. And now the rest of the people are following them, including the youths most of whom hate work, but they want to be rich !
Politics"The Best Way To Rob A Bank Is To Own One" - Anonymous by yahrant140(op): 9:22pm On Aug 03, 2015
Well, I take that credit to an anonymous author back. I know who 'authored' that line and I know when he did. I just won't give his names, only his acronym: DDE. Anybody conversant with those fast guys who established banks during the Babangida's policy of liberalization of the sector should be able to decode. But if you can, keep it to yourself please. If you make disclosure, then, you are on your own. I don't even know where the guy is. I heard one of them has come out of 'rehab' made possible by diminutive 'Accidental' Governor.
Anyway, let's leave that. My drift is actually a question. Ready? Okay, here we go: IF BUKOLA SARAKI IS AS STUPENDOUSLY RICH AS BEING PEDDLED, WHY THEN DID THE TWO BANKS (SGBN & Trade Bank) HE HAD ABSOLUTE CONTROL OF FAILED? You said I have come again? You said I won't leave your guy alone? Well, you just don't know the severity of their atrocities on personal finances, careers, society and the economy generally. Many of them in positions of authorities today are actually purveyors of our miseries in the land. They belong somewhere else.
Me I no go gree to keep quiet o a la Abami Eda!

" 9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up."
- Galatians 6:9 (NLT)
As we should not excuse ourselves from any part of our duty, so neither should we grow tired of it. There is in all of us a tendency to do this. We have a tendency to fall off from it particularly that part that is of concern here: doing good to others. We should therefore carefully watch and guard against weariness in doing good. There is a reason for it: we shall get rewarded before long if we don't get tired.
Perseverance in doing good must be our watchword throughout August and even beyond.
May God bless u all.

PoliticsNigerian Women As Equal Opportunity Thieves. by yahrant140(op): 9:22am On Aug 01, 2015
When President Buhari was going on his visit to the United States, I saw no woman in his entourage. I was scandalized! I wanted to raise hell, but which "mouth I go take talk am"? When Diezani alone has pocketed close to $10billion. When Stella disgraced and destroyed future chances for women. When the security and exchange commission fared no better under Aruma Oteh. When Nenadi Usman underperformed in education. When the economy collapsed under a celebrated former world bank exec who is a woman. Which mouth I go take talk am? Nigerian women have gone to prove that a woman can do better at what a man does. They are equal opportunity thieves. Actually they are better at stealing than men.
Nike Animashaun, the Lagos State Permanent Secretary, ministry of science and technology has been sacked! She could not account for N5billion naira. Because she is highly connected, the heist has been given the fancy name of MISAPPROPRIATION. To you young girls who aspires to be society women, it comes at enormous cost. In Nigeria, you will have to be at every high octane party; wear different attires, different jewelry and buy your fabrics from celebrated Swiss embroiders and it is taboo to be seen in the same attire twice. And please, in these circles, gold no longer count for anything. You are so small if you do not wear diamonds or Akoya encrusted titanium. Unless you own oil blocks, you will have to steal to maintain that lifestyle. Isn't that something?
Do people care about their names? Do they care about what they bequeath to their children? There goes the fall of a fifty year old woman who celebrated her birthday earlier in the year amidst pomp and ceremony. If not for Buhari anticorruption stance, I bet she can become a Senator of the Federal Republic. I don't envy thieves!

PoliticsRe: Sai Buhari’s ‘slow And Steady’ Style Is Detrimental To The Health Of The Nation. by yahrant140(op): 9:07am On Aug 01, 2015
The people of Kaduna are luckier than the rest of us in Nigeria. If he runs for President on whatever political party's platform, el Rufai will have my support. There are whispers already that he should shoot for the nation's top job next time. I would rather have him than that Tambuwal.
PoliticsSai Buhari’s ‘slow And Steady’ Style Is Detrimental To The Health Of The Nation. by yahrant140(op): 9:03am On Aug 01, 2015
Nasir el-Rufa’i ought to be the President right now.
That is the view of those of us who believe Sai Buhari’s ‘slow and steady’ style is detrimental to the health of the nation (this will be the topic for another post entirely).
He should be the President of Nigeria and not Governor of just Kaduna State.
Unlike Sai Baba, Nasiru hit the ground running. He did not play footsie with the compositionof a cabinet. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, the guy he took over from, had 21 Commissioners. Nasiru not only cut the number to 12, he promptly appointed men and women, who may not necessarily be saints, to man the ministries.
Still in keeping with the policy of cutting costs, he cut his allowance and emoluments by 50%. Yeah, Sai Baba also did that – I know you would remind me.
Then Nasiru completely removed the hands of the state government from sponsorship of pilgrims on Holy Pilgrimages to Mecca/Medina and Jerusalem/Sinai. Compare to Sai Baba who just by fiat approved an exchange rate of N160 to $1 to the pilgrims. According to Dr Michael Egbejumi-David,a Nigerian in London who wrote in Vanguard Newspaper yesterday, ‘...the government will cough up the difference. Last year, about 14000 Christians made the pilgrimage. 76000 Muslims went to Mecca. If we do the Math, the government is going to end up subsidising around a further $68 million or about N13.6billion on top of whatever is already subsidised for these pilgrimages’.
My lawyer friend and university teacher, Prof Leigh Augustine Oluwaseyi put it in a wider perspective when he remarked: ‘Imagine a scenario whereby an 'imaginatively enterprising' state government (aren't they all when it comes to the economics of corruption?) decide to produce a list of ghost-pilgrims with equally long lists of forex requests (at the subsidised PMB rates) meant for both pilgrimages and turning round to dispense the tokens actually requested by the pilgrims and 'pocketing' the rest, which - whether at the beginning, middle or end of the pilgrimage - will be 'unleashed' on the economy for a black-market buy back! The 'good' news is that for now, majority of the states are battling to make sense of the fast turning nightmarish bailout for their workers' owed salary, and may therefore not have the time, nor the money? to indulge in such a game. Bamubamu ni won yo....’.
But there is none of these ‘worries’ for Nasiru and the Kaduna people. No sponsorship. Full stop.
Nasiru would have called the bluff of those disturbing the peace of this administration via the National Assembly. How do I know? Had Nasiru not called their bluff before when some Senators led by the immensely gluttonous Ibrahim Mantu demanded for a bribe of N57million from him so he could be passed fit as Minister in the Obasanjo regime in 2003? Did Nasiru, rather than pay the bribe, not put him and his colleagues on the spot? And did the visibly embarrassed Senate then not pass Nasiru fit to be Minister thereafter?
And talking of calling people’s bluff, did Nasiru not call the bluff of Ahmadu Ali, the powerful PDP Chairman then and demolish his Abuja house?
Imagine this same man now with the awesome powers of the Commander-in-Chief?
I believe we should just pray for Sai Baba for God to give him strength that a septuagenarian does not normally possess so he could at least help us catch a lot of thieves and recover all the loots just as David recovered his things and those of his followers from the Amalekites. If that is all Sai Baba does till 2019, I’ll give him a pass mark. I do not expect anything more.
Then, in 2019, we should all contrive to organise a befitting Pull-Out Parade for him from Aso Rock and the Army (Babangida and his band of soldiers of fortune denied him that on August 27, 1985).
In conclusion, I want to go with William Shakespeare here who said:
“Better three hours too soon, than one minute too late”
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Have a rewarding August, everyone!

Politics1 DOLLAR = 1 NAIRA: Buhari Approves An Exchange Rate Of N160 To $1 by yahrant140(op): 6:48pm On Jul 31, 2015
I DIDN’T vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in the last election, though I know that Nigeria needed change. I just disagreed with the change agent due to reasons I have explained in various write-ups in the lead up to the election. I didn’t vote for Jonathan either; the PDP as was constituted and operated just wasn’t a Party I could even consider for anything. In the end, I voted for one of the lesser known Parties.
But Buhari it is. The majority vote will always prevail and that is respected here without any equivocation. So we move on.
As we move on however, it is becoming a struggle not to be uncomfortable in the way things have unfolded and in the way they are playing out. Some of the reservations expressed by some of us are now rearing their ugly heads. Contrary to his inauguration speech, and contrary to reasonable, logical expectations, Buhari hasn’t put a fully functional government in place. This is already the end of July.
As we say around here, nothing spoil. The only harm I saw were incompetent governors (who are unable to manage quite sizable resources) dancing around the President, taking advantage, and getting off easy. The mound of flip flops and reversal of official pronouncements have only meant a slight loss of face; nothing major.
However, I began to panic when I read a news report that Buhari has approved an exchange rate of N160 to $1 for Christian pilgrims. This report was publicised widely and with plenty of fanfare.
To me, it is another indication that the President sorely needs all the help he can get. He needs technical advisers and a seasoned cabinet like a fish needs water.
But the President has already and unwittingly set up his eventual Ministers for failure. They can’t win. Expectations are just too high now. Ministers would still have to be Nigerians, working in Nigeria. The current perception is that Buhari is searching for the best of the very best – folks with no blemishes at all but blessed with superpowers. Optimal performance bothering on miracles would be expected from these Ministers and other appointed government functionaries. How could anyone go into a job like that? It is unrealistic and quite unfair.
All the same, I am becoming increasingly convinced that the President created this governance lacuna in order for him to have unfettered, unchallenged (dictatorial, if you will) shot at managing the country for a while before Ministers, Advisers and other technical and legal people are brought in and begin to rein-in some of his more impulsive and autocratic tendencies.
It seems to me that Buhari wants to get in a few military-style diktats, strong-arm a few people before settling down to normal democratic governance. Because, so far, the only things on the table are hunting down people, dire innuendos and promises of persecution.
As has been whispered all along, the President has finally confirmed that he intends to probe just Jonathan’s government. It is only that government that is corrupt in Nigeria’s recent history. Obasanjo is living large. The bribes from the Halliburton scandal are the major stakeholders in Nigeria’s present day change project. Even the scions of Abacha are running loose, obscenely flaunting stolen wealth. No problem with that. No investigations. Now tell me; how are certain sections of this country supposed to feel? Does this not seem like the start of marginalisationand dehumanisation of the usual suspects all over again?

Health7 Good Reasons Why You Must Take Corn Pap. by yahrant140(op):
It may surprise you to know that corn pap, which is locally called Ogi, Akamu, or Agidi has the following health benefits.
1- Corn pap is 100% natural, as it has no additives or artificial content.
2- Its high potassium content and no sodium makes it a perfect food for people with high blood pressure.
3- The water content in corn pap helps to supply the daily water requirement. That is why the nursing mothers take it to help the easy flow of breast milk.
4- Corn pap is easy to digest because it has fine texture.
5- It is good for breakfast, because its texture makes it exert little stress on the digestive system.
6- It is a perfect food for athletes and footballers.
7- It retains more nutrients, because it does not undergo long processing.
Start your day with a combination of corn pap and Akara (beans cake )or moin -moin (beans pudding ).Also if you are health conscious, prepare to take your corn pap with honey and not with white sugar.

• When driving in fog, reduce your speed and turn on your headlights.
• Think about how far they can see and how long it will take you to stop.
• Keep an eye on your speedometer.
• Make sure that you can be seen.
• Turn on your fog lights, and make sure your high beams aren't turned on by accident.
• High beams direct light up into the fog, makes it difficult for you to see.
• Low beams direct light down onto the road, help other drivers to see you.
• Headlights are the only part of your vehicle that oncoming drivers can see at a distance.
• Don't stop in the middle of a roadway.
• If you can't continue, pull well onto the shoulder, getting your vehicle completely off the road.
• Whatever you do, don't turn off your headlights in heavy fog, even if they interfere with your forward visibility a little.

I have been trying to disbelieve the obvious Realit-y(-ies) ever since the much hyped 'Change' forced itself in like Tsunami. This 'tour de force', as it unfolds daily (going by the uneventful melodramas we daily see, almost everywhere), was not envisaged by the APC, particlarly many roving 'tsotsis' who had no political ideologies to help move our dear Nigeria an inch forward. The party (of 'iru wa ogiri wa') appear to have a common GOAL (the ruling party must be voted out at all cost!) but without VISION. They made it all-comers affairs -an infertile assemblage of miscellaneous Cro-Magnon men- to arrive at the needed population (statistics). There were no concrete agreements as to who gets what, where and how... Now, the 'ship' is too full to guarantee its stability, in the face of a tide and every passenger on board appears to have an idea of the Nautical mile. I pray it berths safely at the shore, amen.
Really, should one be so surprised? I don't think so!
If God helped GEJ to catch up later, at the nascent -"too slow"- stage of his dispensation, God will help the gentle old GMB.
May the Lord bless our country Nigeria.
