How did your weekend go? Today is Monday, so let me go straight to the
point.


As we know, the General Elections will come in a bit. The presidential and
the governorship polls will hold on March 28 and April 11 respectively. I'm
quite excited, because at least new leaders will emerge, and give us a
different taste of leadership. After all, variety is the spice of life, is it not?
Well I'm sure some of us may have heard about the senate bill which
provides that an individual can come out for a political position without the
platform of any political party. The bill has been passed, all it requires
now is the signature of the president to be enforced. I think it's good news,
because we Nigerians have over the years, learned to vote for the party,
and not the individual .


This causes unnecessary issues; the political party may be ideal, but the
candidate it presents may not be credible. In this case, who will you vote?
Party Y's presidential candidate might be credible, but its flag bearer at
the governorship level might not be as credible. So because you are an
ardent supporter of Party Y, will you then vote any person it presents?
Well, the answer is yes, I guess. Vote the individual, not the party. It will
go a long way in helping our democracy.


Here are a few tips from yours faithfully as you go to the polling booths:

#1. Keep your phones and devices in your pockets. Do not attempt a selfie,
I promise you those soldiers go slap ya eye, then seize your phone.


#2. Comport yourself as you stand in the queue. It's better to keep your
mouth shut and let your voters' card do the talking. Let every argument
over which candidate is better should end two weeks before the polls.


#3. If you don't have jeans or shorts, this is the right time to go get a pair,
because if run start , you don't want to be behind.


#4. Remember to shut your mouth again, after you've cast your vote and
you're about to leave. Don't, I repeat, don't blab about who you voted for.
Save the jubilation for after the announcement of the results or you might
end up jubilating in ward 4, with your bandaged head on a sling.


#5. Finally, if you finish voting, leave the polling booth. Why? You dey ask
me why ?? Because you cannot 'protect your votes.' Sorry I'm being this
direct, but you should not listen to those politicians who tell you to 'protect
your votes.' Wetin you wan use protect am? Shey ypu be MOPOL? Better
let the security agencies do their job and walk away while you can.

You can still stay around the booth sha, about 5000 feet away; so you can see
the INEC officials count the votes from afar with binoculars.

When Are My Days Off? : If you start to make a list of this type of questions and throw it at the interviewers, you won’t even make it to the stage of submitting your passports and filling the employment, talk less about having your free time. It sends a wrong message across to the interviewer (he/she would think of you as the lazy type). Your focus should rather be to outline the measures you would take to improve the company’s productivity, even if it means working overtime. That’s what your employers expect.


I Left My Ex-company because I was poorly paid: Although this I a good reason to leave a company or organization, this issue should not be explained to the interviewer.

How Much Is My Salary: You are definitely going to get paid for your work, bringing up this issue early, sends a red signal to the interviewer. I advice you wait for this issue to be brought up by the interviewers.

I Don’t Have Much Experience: If you say this, you would be admitting that you are not worth the job. Be confident in yourself, the job you intend to have is going to be an experience, ain’t it?

I Really Need This Job: Do not send a sense of desperation to the interviewers. You should rather make them feel that the job really needs you, for what you are worth, you should get the job.

I applied for medicine in ABU and when their admission list came out my name was nowhere to be found. now I am doing ijmb in ABU,Kabba, Kogi State. I dont know what happened but it just came to my mind to check my admission status again this afternoon. so I checked and saw that I have been offered admission to study agriculture.
I am so confused right now because my people are all advising me to go for the course. apart from that I will do jamb again this year and am also doing ijmb. so I dont really know which decision to make.
