On paper the specs look good for the Z6 youth edition if you can manage without software updates and dev support. You should compare this phone with the Redmi Note 7 pro not the regular Note 7

Screen/Display: Amoled on the A30 beats the IPS on the Note 7

CPU: The Snapdragon 660 is slightly better than the Exynos 7885 on the Samsung

Protection: Both have gorilla glass 5

Build quality: Note7 had gorilla glass 5 front and 5 and can survive heavy falls but it has a semi-plastic frame. A30 has gorilla glass in front and plastic at the back with a metal frame.

Added functions: Note 7 has QR scanner and IR blaster, Samsung has none.

Battery: Samsung may slightly be better.

Camera: Redmi has a better back camera but the A30 has a better selfie cam

Performance: The Note 7 wins especially in the area of gaming and opening apps quickly.

Choose wisely.

I went to YouTube to hear from people who are already using it and what they are saying is,

if you want to download e.g 1GB movie from the Internet on 4G it will take 30-40 minutes but on 5G it will take 5 seconds.

Now the difference here is the timing of the download. On 4G 1gb will be deducted from your plan while on 5G 1GB will be deducted from your plan also.

It's like downloading with 3G and 4G LTE. Same 1GB will be deducted for downloading the same file but the difference is the timing. 3G might take 1r 20min to complete while a proper 4G LTE will take 30-40 minutes to complete. But 5G will take 5 seconds.But all of them will still deduct the same 1GB for downloading the same movie

Both the lenovo Youth edition and the Redmi Note 7 are great smartphone. You will not be making any mistake if you choose any one of them over the other.

However, I would consider popularity because the Redmi Note 7 have established some kind of 'Name' here in Nigeria. They have an office at computer village and there is even a thread here on Nairaland dedicated towards the smartphone.

So if something gets broken in the future you won't be left isolated, because replacement parts will easily be availability as there is a good chance you will come across users who have gone through the same thing and can get help

In all honesty, I don't think you can get a better value for the price of the RN7. I would have gotten one for myself if not that my Lenovo k5 pro is less than 2 months.

As much as a device is reliable, efficient, effective, durable, portable , not bulky, i believe the device is good Nd if the device is economical and not a must for a device to be unecessary expensive before you can conclude that a device is better than the other, so I believe Xiaomi meet all these categories and can be compAre with Samsung.

A30 is good, but not better than RN7, I have played with one, compared both..

I bought the case and protectors on AliExpress.

AMOLED on Samsung budget phones are overrated..
