BarbaraCharles: Yes, it is called sworn affidavit for age declaration. Can be done at the High Court. You will have to state in one of your paragraphs what happened to your original birth certificate You will need this to apply for the Attestation of birth, it doesnt end at sworn affidavit, if it is for immigration purpose. |

Sucreklint: Good day fam...pls can one use a sworn affidavit in place of birth certificate... Pls help... what u need is Attestation of birth from NPC......Nigeria started issuing NPC birth certificate from 1990/91. People born before then probably have the hospital certificate only. So if u were born before then, the acceptable Nigeria issued evidence of birth is the Attestation of birth from NPC. Sworn affidavit will probably not be accepted. |

[quote author=Vancouver4 post=71752067]Pls my people, what date could be considered as start date for an academic program:
1. Date on school fees receipt 2. Date on Admission letter 3. Date lectures started
Pls help.... [/quote
For me I inputted the date lectures actually started. Then in my school , all lists for admission started coming up from early 2003 till like mid 2003, and we started lectures late 2003, but our matriculation number is actually 2002 , meanwhile in 2002 I was also running a diploma In another school while waiting for my name to come out ...on my transcript there is actually record for year 2002/2003, then they skipped 2003/2004 and continued with 2004/2005,2005/2006,2006/2007 in that order.....
In my profile I filled diploma 2001-2003 and for my BSc 2003-2007, which was when I actually registered and started lectures. |

DawnM024: Hello House,
Silent follower - something i read here made me wonder if i may have misrepresented myself. I was refused visa to Uk some odd 6yrs ago on grounds of insufficient travel funds and asked to submit with sufficient(no refusal stamp). I did that immediately and got Visa 3wks later. I have gone on to obtain 3 additional visas including an active 2 year visa plus 2 other 2year US visa. This was my first attempt at outside ECOWAS travel.
My question is - is there a way to mention this now, though i have no indication on passport and i cant find any email or letter concerning the incidence.
Biometrics done plus MEP and background check says ongoing.
It never occurrred till i read it here yesterday. Please help i am in panic mode.
Thanks alot. Did they return your passport with the refusal letter? Did u have to pay another visa fee the second time? If u answer yes to any of these questions then that was a refusal and it is in their record. They only gave u option to reapply immediately which u did. I'd advise u raise a CSE and mention it and explain it same way u just did here. This issue of not mentioning visa denial is the latest rejection reason which leads to banning people. MY 2 cents tho |

In this case I need advise so as not to misrepresent anything in my application. Thanks everyone. its even better you start your application and then add your wife in february after ur court wedding, cos adding her now will crash your CRS, which means she has to write IELTS and/or provide ECA. I wld say again, start first then include her later even if it is after u have gotten PPR as long as you inform IRCC immediately the court wedding is done. |

amdman: While your testimony is commendable, it raises some red flags.
Your ITA date above is different from the date you previously mentioned (see below).
Following Immitracker, you are the only one in the whole world that has an AOR date of August 11 and after, that has already gotten PPR. While this is remotely possible, it is most improbable because you are applying from Nigeria. Applications from Nigeria (following the trends) usually take a much longer time than yours took, most likely due to the number of verifications that have to be done.
Again, the time-frame between your MEP and PPR is 7 days! Bros...Bros, that is another world record! If you have access to your account to be able to determine your MEP, why did you have to mail your agent to find out the status of your biometrics?
My own conclusion o... is that its either you are not telling the full story, you have a barely hidden motive or that letter you have may be anything, but certainly not PPR. I wonder why people keep picking on this particular testimony, his timeline isn't even the fastest I have seen. The fact is that he has gotten PPR, please congratulate him and move on and pray U also have a short timeline if U wish for it. Like he said he used an agent, if U want to know more U can PM him. Let's stop all this picking. |

Yes, this should give her 2 or more certificates. She can use any evaluating body, any of them shd give her same report...U can read page 1 to see comparisons between the different evaluating bodies...I personally will go with WES. |

One more enquiry pls.
I have accessed the 25% of my RSA which is usually the case after exiting a job without a new one four months after. However I still have well over N4Million balance in my RSA (the statutory savings/deductions while on the job not voluntary savings). Can this in any way contribute to my POF?
Many thanks. Nope, it can't, I guess U can't access the 75% until U r about 50 or 65( can't remember exactly) |

shuddyy: Dearest Brothers & Sisters, I have been reading up this thread from page0; I'm somewhere around page 150 but i kindly need your help with responses to these specific enquiries.
I worked in a bank from 2007 till my disengagement due bankwide staff rationalization of 2016. I rose through the hierarchy up to a Service Manager position. Considering that I'm no more in the employment of this organization can I still claim the 10years I worked with them as years of experience for the EE evaluation? Will the bank provide me a reference letter covering these years of experience with the bank?
After my exit from the bank, I registered a company with Farming business as one of the registered services of the company. We basically operated a poultry farm though I also own and manage some hectares of land for crop farming. Can I also claim these years of experience under the job type skilled trade (supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production NOC codes that start in 82)? If yes this will imply I will be writing a reference letter on behalf of myself. Will that be tenable?
Please advice. Many thanks! Firstly U can claim points with the bank job as long as it job function falls under the NOC 0,A and B and U also did the job within the last 10years, and also if the bank is willing to give U reference letter. 3 years work experience in the last 10years(between 2008-2018) is all U need to claim maximum points for work experience. If U want to go the self employed route, U might not be able to claim up to 3 years since U started the company after 2016. I advise U stimulate Ur CRS with the no of years U have been self employed and see if Ur point is still high. If not, I advise U use Ur bank experience, it will be straightforward. |

Bsbabe: Whether or not she has access to the letter head, I wil advise she writes it on plain paper. Reason being that she is not writing on behalf of the company and as such has no right to use any letter headed paper. It is not an official letter since she is writing it for you in her personal capacity just to confirm what you claim you have done. Please note that a company’s official letter headed paper is to be used for official business only. Ok thanks, noted |

Amica26: Just the law degree without the law school? Yes just the law degree with IQAS will give U equivalent of professionall degree, but with WES U will get equivalent of BSc, also with WES,the maximum U can get if U evaluate the degree alongside law school is 2 or more certificates. So check which will be better for u, points for professional degree or points U get for 2 or more certificates , whichever is enough for u to boost Ur CRS is what U will go for. |

Godisincontrol: Is the supervisor authorized to write the letter using the letterhead in line with the company's policy?
If he/she is not then please use a plain paper and notarize it. Also add supervisor's call card and email from HR stating they can't go out of their generic format.
Cc: @yakay Thanks for this, I have spoken to her and she doesn't have access to the head office letter head, she only has access to the letter head of the present station where she heads (cos each station has a customised letter head for their own correspondence with tax payers). We might just end up doing it on a plain sheet to be on the safe side. |

rosepetraa: Request for a letter of reference from your supervisor. He can use the letterhead of your office to write this. At the end of the day, he is the one that really knows what you do everyday and thus in the best position to give you a letter of reference. The headoffice will only write generic duties expected from officers in your rank and career path. Thanks a lot,I will do that, tho am not sure she will have access to letterhead , but lemme ask first, no harm in trying as they say... |

Please I still need clarification as per job reference. I worked with a government agency. I got posted to the Tax education and enlightenment team, which has various offices across Lagos state...there is a generic job function for everyone posted to that unit and then U also have specific duties U perform in your office as assigned by immediate supervisor. I applied for reference letter and the head office said they will only write the generic job functions, and not include what I do specifically in the office. And this won't help me cos it's really shallow and general. I collected the letter that way tho, but I am not comfortable with it. What do U advice I do? |

AyeMayBe: I haven't gotten PPR yet, but I got my GCMS notes. I claimed 1yr work experience from 23rd July 2016 to 25th March 2018 (40hrs/week). My calculation was simple, 23rd July 2016 to 31st (just to be safe) July 2017 would count as 1year; then August 2017 to March 2018 would be jara. From my notes, the case analyst stated that I claimed 1year experience but summed up my overall experience, based on the dates stated, to 1year and 9months. If you want to be extra careful, maybe go with what others have said. Hope this helps. This obviously shows the VO calculated July2016 to June 2017 as one year, den July 2017 to March 2018 gave 9 months, which is the correct way to calculate and not July 2016 to July 2017( this is more than a year) |

bronze25: Good morning fam. Please I have a little concern with regards to my reference letter.
Firstly, the words 'full time' was not stated in the letter but the number of working hours (40hours/week) was mentioned.
Secondly, I don't know if the date mentioned qualifies for one year (eg 23 March 2017- 11 March 2018).
These two issues have been bothering me. Please I would appreciate your kind advise. Thanks I don't think there is any issue with both points, most full time jobs are 40hrs /week and I have seen lots of ref letters with just that stated. Secondly January 2017 to Dec 2017 is one year and not January2017 to January 2018. |

Amica26: Hello everyone.
I am new to this whole Canada immigration thing. I am about to apply for my ECA. I am a lawyer doing an MBA. I should be rounding up early next year. Do you think that I should wait for the result of my MBA or just go ahead and apply with my degree and law school Certificates? If U evaluate Ur law degree with IQAS U should get an equivalent of professional degree which is also same as what Ur MBA will give U. So U can go ahead with it evaluation with IQAS unless U want to use WES, den U wait for Ur MBA. |

Please do you also have idea about NECO process for WES
Apologies if this question is off Trend
Yes you can use NECO and it seems to be faster according to the testimony gotten here, NECO costs #18500- "17500 for courier and 1k for confirmation of result", go to the NECO office at Ur state of residence. Go with copies of Ur certificate or statement of results, 2 passport photographs ( I can't really remember exactly what I was asked to bring, didn't go further cos I found out I didn't need it anymore) |

Richness1104: My question is if I take a loan from my place of work, Will it affect my getting PPR? I don't think taking a loan will affect Ur PPR, but U have to make allowance for the outstanding repayment amount in Ur POF, which means if Ur POF is 3.5m and U have an outstanding of 500k, it is assumed Ur POF is just 3m , so using this instance it is advised your POF shd be 4m. mannycrown: I and wifey have decided to give this a try having read through with interest how you help one another with guidance here. This is amazing. Keep it up guys. Good job! So she will be principal applicant. We want to start with degree assessments and IELTS. My confusions are these: 1.As a pharmacist will she do assessment for only her degree or WAEC should be assessed too? 2.I'm I going to have my degree assessment too and write IELTS with her? 3.If my WAEC needs to be assessed I remember having a mistake with my day of birth (January 10th instead of January 11th) on my WAEC certificate. What do I do about this pls? 1) Her assessment is to be done by PEBC as a Pharmacist if she wants to continue practice over there. And I don't PEBC will require WAEC. If she doesn't want to go tru the whole PEBC process for now, she can assess with other bodies, like WES shd also give her an equivalent of professional degree. If she is doing the WES option , then she also needs WAEC 2)Good idea, that will help boost Ur CRS 3) WAEC will be assessed if U r using WES, and I guess the mistake won't be a major issue as U can attach an affidavit / birth certificate/ declaration of age , the major issue wld have been if the mistake was in Ur year of birth. On a second thought U can use the ICES option to avoid all the WAEC wahala |

Now I'm even more confused Dan before. U don't need WAEC if U registered before 3rd of August. You have nothing to be worried about. I guess U r looking at the documents required, thats where U saw the WAEC as part of requirements, but I think that was updated for every applicant from Nigeria. I applied before 3rd August and also saw WAEC in my required documents, but after they acknowledged my certificate, my document status started showing " We are awaiting one document, which is transcript from school" .... So Ur focus should be on the document status and not where U r checking now. |

Please, I want to send all my credetials @ once to WES via Hello fax as I hav read here countless times people that used same & also, so I can cut costs. Any idea how much it'll cost in total? i.e. how much in total i'll spend wit WES? I saw ICES would cost 171,000. I'll be sending my GCE, OND & B.Sc Cert (I did D.E hence Y I am sending an ND result). I have my GCE Cert alrdy and ND Transcripts & Cert bt only Transcripts 4 B.Sc. can I go ahead?, should I also just go ahead & attest my GCE result in the High Court or I still need to go to WAEC office? Your feedback would be very appreciated! Thank You.
Any further contributions/guidelines would be very appreciated.... Thanks. the cost for WES shouldn't be more than 100k , that's if it is even up to. Apply, generate ur reference number and send all u have mentioned via hellofax to them. you will still need to go to WAEC and apply for ur GCE transcript/certificate to be sent to WES( WES needs it sent straight from the issuing body) |
