Politics › Re: Buhari's Kakistocracy Regime by yarimo(m): 8:24pm On Jan 16, 2020 |
AntiBalaka: According to Wikipedia, a kakistocracy [kækɪ'stɑkrəsi] is a system of government that is run by the worst, least qualified, and/or most unscrupulous citizens.
The word is derived from two Greek words, kakistos (κάκιστος; worst) and kratos (κράτος; rule), with a literal meaning of government by the worst people.
It is however to Buhari's credit that his govt appointees truly reflect his own personality and shortcomings and where merit was once the watch word, mediocrity guided by Buhari's bigotry, nepotism and outright archaic tribal sentients compounded by his own gross stupidity and ignorance are the only guidelines.
Whenever stupid people appointed by the stupid Buhari make stupid utterances to defend their stupidity, I am reminded of what a senior WW2 German officer said about the officers corpse. There are lazy, stupid, diligent and intelligent officers. With officers generally displaying two of these qualities at a time. The majority of officers being lazy and stupid, with intelligent but lazy officers ideal as Staff officers who get to run the show behind a big desk at HQ. Then there is the very rare breed of highly intelligent and diligent crop of officer, whom without them the entire war would have since been lost. And then there are the equally very rare crop of highly stupid and diligent officers who need to be watched for the combination of stupidity and diligence makes them the most dangerous hazard to any army most of all that which they command.
I couldn't agree more. Stupid people are not necessarily stupid because they make stupid decisions or take stupid actions. The reason stupid people are stupid is because they do not realize the danger they pose to others as a result of their stupid actions. Buhari falls perfectly well into the highly diligent stupid crop and most painful about Buhari's stupid is that he is oblivious to his own stupid actions like a snake is immune to its own poison.
In this thread I will detail the mediocre stupid people the stupid Buhari has appointed and how their stupidity like evil, will live well after they vacate from office.
This is Buhari's Kakikoscracy.
Do stick around .

Can you imagine? He could not stop the proscription of IPOB, but he will stop the proscription of Amotokun. Incredible!
He even has one million Igbo men to dash out to this generation of Yorubas. The Igbo blood will be shed for Amotokun. The Yorubas must be rejoicing.
But wait a minute! Don't the Yorubas have one million men of there own?. Many of them have already joined Amotokun. Yet, Nnamdi will send one million Igbo men to die for Amotokun. Who will die for the Igbos? I don't want even one Igbo man to die for non-Igbo cause. So, Nnamdi must be high on something as usual. Op

Politics › Re: FLASHBACK: Seven Nigerian Governors Brought Back By Court Since 1999 by yarimo(m): 4:54pm On Jan 16, 2020 |
Op what of FAYEMI of ekiti state? FAYEMI vs ONI Shehuyinka: BEFORE Tuesday’s ruling by the Supreme Court which invalidated the victory of Emeka Ihedioha as the elected governor of Imo State in the 2019 elections, and pronounced Hope Uzodinma as the governor of the state, five past governors in Nigeria have had to claim their mandates through the court.
Since the return of democracy to Nigeria in 1999, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has struggled to conduct credible polls.
The electoral umpire has conducted six general elections in 20 years and has also had many of those elections upturned by courts as a result of electoral malpractices.
Within those years, a number of governors lost their seats after election petition tribunals and of course the Supreme Court nullified their elections. Consequently, the court has restored mandate of seven governors —two of them in the current dispensation.
The ICIR compiled the list of governors who were the beneficiaries of this kind of court action. These are Rauf Aregbesola, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Adams Oshiomhole, Segun Mimiko, Bello Matawalle and Hope Uzodinma who was until the Supreme Court ruling a runner up in the 2019 elections and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Peter Obi: Twice lucky at Supreme Court
More than any politician in the current democratic experience, Peter Obi has enjoyed the grace of the court to restore his mandate twice as governor of Anambra State.
In 2003, Obi contested in the Anambra State governorship election as a candidate for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party, but his opponent, Chris Ngige of the People’s Democratic Party, was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
He would later endure almost three years of litigation to get his mandate back after Ngige’s victory was overturned by the Court of Appeal on 15 March 2006. Obi became governor of the state on 17 March 2006.
His reign was short-lived when on November 2, 2006 he was impeached by the State House of Assembly after seven months in office and was replaced the next day by Virginia Etiaba, his deputy, making her the first-ever female governor in Nigeria’s history.
Obi successfully challenged his impeachment and was reinstated as the governor on 9 February 2007 by the Court of Appeal sitting in Enugu. Etiaba handed power back to him after the court ruling.
