Politics › Re: Break The Ecowas Into Two by ycat(op): 7:34am On Aug 07, 2023
You are the one not making sense!

It seems you are just lawless at heart.

Ecowas is an organization that is fractured and cannot just die like that since some have put their sweat in it and can still offer some help to people. It also needs to keep to rule of law and dividing it is a way to save it from a total collapse.

Nigeria and other countries deserves to have people with the same mindset at the table just like the military govts countries do. Nigeria is not kicking anyone out but giving everyone a chance rather than let the whole organization die.

Nigeria deserves to be broken too but there's no imminent war or fear of war or serious interest among regions. Breaking ecowas too can lead to breaking Nigeria since coup countries have sympathizers in Nigeria.

Ecowas is not an external problem now that president Tinubu is the chairman, he has to protect it from destruction. President Tinubu won't need to take a knife there to divide it and does not even need to be there for the votes, this is what reps are there for. A 1 hour votes ends it. Lawlessnes should never be allowed.

Just as the coup govts have rights to be with their allies, democratically elected govt need to have their own allies. Are they afraid of being isolated?

If you believe they have done a good job toppling their govts, they should be bold enough to stand together and not lean on democratic govts for support, after all they are soldiers.

Ecowas needs to be cut into 2 or 3 immediately so countries can still work together.

Fejoku:
What you're saying doesn't make sense at all. You haven't dealt with your internal problems yet you want to go and face the external one that isn't really a problem. Nigeria doesn't need to break ECOWAS just to have her way, she can go about it solo afterall, she calls herself a giant. Bear this in mind though; you can't change the minds and opinions of other countries as it pertains to their own beliefs in this situation. It is better you face your Nigeria and divide it for the good of everyone.
Politics › Re: Break The Ecowas Into Two by ycat(op):
These 3 countries have shown that they aren't fit to be in the committee of serious countries so they must be cut loose. They are suspended now if Al Jazeera is right, and must not be allowed back since they have violated the rules and are no longer in good standing. The only thing left is to divide into 2 or 3 if need be to accommodate everyone. No democratically elected president should have anything to do with a military dictator, we are way past that.

Tbh, what these dictator countries do with themselves is not our business, all we need to do is let them be to chart a new front for themselves, we just won't have anything to do with them, and countries like us can come together to do the same.

flokii:
What these smaller countries like Burkina Faso and likes backing Niger republic junta don't know is that they can't do much in isolation against the erstwhile colonial powers like France.. it's got to be a collective thing, a dialogue through established bodies like ECOWAS and AU.

For God sake, what does a thirty something year old Head of State in Burkina Faso know about global politics and balance?.. What chance does he stand against the big guys when they come blazing with guns, bombs and all?.
Politics › Re: Break The Ecowas Into Two by ycat(op):
What unity are you enjoying when some people want soldiers to rule then and we want our soldiers to be on the field?

Ecowas has been violated by these junta countries and it has to be broken into two so every member can choose the side it wants to be.

Breaking Ecowas into two would lead to the dead of the region, the unity all countries enjoy today with not be same again.
Politics › Re: Break The Ecowas Into Two by ycat(op): 6:39am On Aug 07, 2023
To break Nigeria without violence, you will have to be interested, but all of you are holding on to Nigeria due to greed of what you can steal from your neighbors.

Ecowas is fractured and can't be trusted, so it needs to be broken to 2 or what are you afraid of? Breaking ecowas can also help break Nigeria.
Fejoku:
Start by breaking Nigeria first before talking about ECOWAS. Man never settle the gbege wey dey him house na ECOWAS him dey worry himself about.

Another bold face lie!

Ireti is fulani with Yoruba name, just like Bola Shagaya who is igbo but bears Yoruba name.
Shattuck:
now you are saying elupee, but what you forgot to mention is that their senatorial slot was taken by a Yoruba woman, if she were Igbo I know you would have included your tribal hate and propaganda on it too, so shameless
Politics › Re: Joe Abah Cautions Tinubu Against Appointing FCT Indigene As Minister Of FCT by ycat:
Ireti is just a Yoruba in name only, she herself is not a Yoruba.

Her father is fulani, her mother is half fulani and half Yoruba.

Ireti is a fulani, there's no way Buhari would give that slot to a Yoruba.

Yoruba need to watch what is behind names and question it when it's too good to be true. if a Yoruba had gone to her for help and she refused, the story would be "Yoruba don't help each other" without knowing that she's just Yoruba in name only and has just about 12.5% Yoruba blood from one grandmother along the line. There was no way Buhari would leave a fulani and give Fct slot to Yoruba.
LegendHero:
Labor party caused that. Because Abuja people lost their thinking to some ELupee nonsense party, they sold their only senatorial ticket to a non indigene like Ireti.

Now if the constituents need something or their king/older class need something, shey na Ireti a Yoruba woman go provide am for them or na she dey go confide in. Wetin Ireti know about their struggle and problem?

She go just dey collect the constituent money dey use am develop her own state like one other Lagos honorable wey dey always carry constituency project (by selling slot) go Imo state wey be him indigenous state that time.

This is what happens when liberalism crept into a society. They lose their brain.

Yoruba entitlement mentality?

Even you know that Yoruba don't fit in that, if you put igbos there now, it will be a match.

Anyone doing propaganda against president Tinubu is either igbo claiming Yoruba or from another tribe. Real Yoruba don't do propaganda against their own, we take care of our own.

If you really care about people that are suffering, you won't be talking about what happened 10 years ago.

People were against subsidy removal then because oil was $120/barrel. The excess crude account had money and foreign reserve had tens of $billions, the subsidy was like dividends to Nigerians, there was no reason to remove it. Now that all these accounts are empty and this year budget passed by the past administration had no subsidy funds in there, president Tinubu had no choice than to remove it.

You can't mastubate on every news, there's a reason why nothing worked in Nigeria before president Tinubu, all the people given appointments were half baked. President Tinubu is doing all the right thing, you are just mad at everything.

You are either a coward or an anti Tinubu.

President Tinubu is doing what diplomacy entails and cutting the light before sending delegation is part of letting them know he isn't playing. That's what sanctions are all about. Yes sometimes it fails, sometimes it works, one just have to try and keep trying.

President Tinubu must put every sanction under his control on Niger and its allies.

Coup is always a possiblity in a lawless country and every president that knows his onion will prepare and guide against it.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Negotiation Fails, Niger Junta To Recall Ambassador From Nigeria by ycat: 1:48am On Aug 07, 2023
Is planning? He should do it and others should counter the move or even beat him to it.

It's their country and they can do as they wish since they have successfully suppressed the opposition to the coup.

Ecowas should immediately hold a vote to remove Niger and divide the membership into two, so they can see the board clearly and know who is on which side.

This can also be a blessing in disguise for Nigeria, in the sense that, president Tinubu can float the idea of sending 3 to 6 representatives from geopolitical zones of Nigeria since the north is already talking about Niger war is their war, so every region can also join one of the ecowases grin they want and then build on that leading to sovereign conference.

We don't have to be together to be civil, most people are best friends with their parents after they move out and are living on their own. You will be surprised how Yoruba will be igbos best friends when we are in our separate countries or have nothing tying us together except some military and imigration.
Bigboytinz:
The General Abdourahmane Tchiani-led military junta in the Republic of Niger is planning on recalling the Nigerien Ambassador to Nigeria after failing to come to terms with the delegation of the Economic Community of West African States, on the return of democracy in Niger.

The junta is also planning to recall Nigerien Ambassadors to Togo, the United States, and France, as it pushes to evict French and US troops in the country, while declaring an end to all Memorandum of Understanding between France and the Republic of Niger.

Defence sources privy to the ongoing meeting in Niamey, the Niger capital confirmed the development to our correspondent Friday morning.

I'm not reading your trash below.

Chileans can't work in the US without H1-B1 visa for a select professional like Indians or green card/citizenship just like every other national, so they have no unfettered access to the US labor market.

You are so insecure about this arrival in Chile, all I'm hearing from you is image making of Chile, the earlier you tell the truth of what you and your friend are feeling the better for you.

You are the liar trying to make Chile what it's not and sell it to other desperate people like you just to claim you are in a better country than Nigeria, which it's not, Nigeria is better than Chile in every way.

I stand on what I said that Chile is a very poor country and its citizens are trekking along Mexican border. I was shocked that a Nigerian moved there for greener pastures, then I realized some people will move to hell just to say they are "abroad." And yes again, Chile does not have unfettered access to the US labour market, not even Mexico can claim to be, only the US citizens and permanent residents have unfettered access to the US labour market, this is why I asked you what "unfettered access" means to you which you couldn't answer but rather went on a tirade.

Well since you insist I stay on this thread, I'll try to keep you company.

As for the demons you are calling for, you will have them to deal with all your life.

You or your friend has just wasted money on Chile and now want to take the frustration out on commenters, no, ko jo!
Gerrard59:
Show us one case where Chileans were caught trekking along the Mexican border into the United States. How come Chileans do so when the same people enjoy visa-free travel to the US?

https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/immigration/h1b1

All a Chilean needs to do is apply for a job in the US, and gets to move because there are no restrictions since the quotas never get filled. That is a fact. Why is this so difficult for you to accept? Why are you APC lots so despicably dishonest and wicked? Is this what you people live for?

I met a Brazilian and a Venezuelan and asked them about Chile when OP was processing his visa.

They both said Chileans rarely emigrate because they are rich. The Venezuelan girl accused Chileans of being too proud. The Brazilian lad said Chileans rarely associate with other South Americans because they are rich, and even when they emigrate to nearby countries, they move to Argentina and Uruguay. And once they finish what they do, they move back to Chile. He rarely sees Chileans whereas he sees Venezuelans daily. These are fellow South Americans who know better than anyone else on this thread, share the same cultural and racial ties.

Chile is wealthier than Nigeria, even omitting GDP per capita. Nigeria, not Chile, has the highest number of poor people in the world. If you claim it is because of population, Brazil does not have the highest number of poor people in South America.

Posterity would have it that I stood on the right side of history. I can be accused of being rude, but not a liar. As for being rude, I would always be rude to liars and demons! If you don't fight liars, they repeat the lie to the extent it becomes to look like the truth. That is not supposed to be so.

They claim Brazilians climb the fence into the US via Mexico
They said Chileans wash toilets in the US
They claimed only Canada enjoys unfettered access to the US labour market
They claimed that the Chilean passport is not strong
They said Chileans are suffering from economic crises

All have proven to be false. You see? If people should be discouraged from relocating or cautioned when relocating, they should do so without distorting the facts. Anyone who wants to lie should do so in his/her house, not in a public forum. This is not 2003, where any donkey spews mumbo-jumbo and people accept hook, line and sinker.

Who is this FG and what does it do for a living?

Fg is like a property management company, he owns nothing but manages for people. He collects rent and renovates the property, but in Lagos case, he pockets almost all the money and bankrupted the owner.

Other Nigerians won't be the first to invest in a country like the one with Lagos that later split. There are examples of countries that split and we will take a page from how they went about it when the time comes. And unless you invested in Yorubaland for the purpose of taking it over, you know that nothing artificial like Nigeria lasts forever and you invested based on that.

Ibadan is our traditional capital, having one urban capital like Lagos is like a one-eyed man in the land of the blind and it's enough for us right now. You don't even have a tenth of Lagos in your region, now you want Yoruba to have two Lagos.

Ibadan counts but igboland don't and the immigrants in Ibadan compares to the ones in all of entire igboland is the answer to that.
Cooly100:
So in your mind all the investments by the FG and other Nigerians will come to nothing?

Why is Ibadan your western capital not the apple of your eyes?

Igbos land don't count the same why Ibadan dont count as its like everyother place where the FG has no investment.

The capital was move to the central location according to them or according to me for total control.

Lagos was the shining city then and that was why it was moved there and according to the British "the richest and where the money is."
