Macaroni's mother is igbo. Children born of igbo mothers don't and can't defend Yoruba. I suspect Falz's mother too is not Yoruba, though her name is Funmi. I've searched places where a home town is usually mentioned for a public figure and can't find any for her, her husband's hometown of Ilawe Ekiti is what keeps coming up in some cases, I wonder why! They said it was a thing back in the days for people to take up Yoruba names for economic advantage. If you ask Yoruba about where Bola Shagaya is from, at least 95% Yoruba will say she's Yoruba but she's igbo married to Shagaya from Kwara. It took me forever to crack her home town.
