Elsueno: I am aware of that, what I am asking is wether the dividend goes directly to my bank account like I-invest app or directly to the trading account on apps like chaka etc. I do not want to be filling up forms annually everytime dividends payment are due dividends are paid directly into your bank account. |

emmaodet: Hello bro. Please what books can I read or courses to attend to brush me up on stock trading? Just need your guidance. Is reading a company's financial statement enough as a guide to pick a stock? What do you think about mutual funds? I am also looking towards acquiring some with Stanbic IBTC with average return of 40% per annum. After registering with cscs and a broker, do I just read financial statements and then buy a stock or there are graphs to look at like forex before trading? Do we have a TA and fundamental analysis platform for guidance before picking a trade on Nigeria stock exchange? where did that 40%PA come from? |

OBAGADAFFI: Cscs online account is just for checking, noting more. You can request CSCS statement from your broker anytime. you are right to an extent. what if your broker is selling your stocks without your consent? don't you think he can give you a statement of his choice? give me a cscs statement and i will edit it within 5 minutes for you. do you know how big BGL was and what led to their downfall? i know just a few brokers mess up, but just keep your side safe. it is just 3K per year. let cscs act as a check against your brokers. |

emmanuelewumi: Ask for your Clearing House Number and open a CSCS online account for the monitoring of your investments i think any serious investor should have a cscs online account. brokers can cook anything and send to you as proof of transaction. cscs will give you a true reflection of things. |

All as at 1st January 2023.
Should influence income statement in H1and if the ratio of First Bank is anything to go by i.e N53.667 to N210.16 bill = x3.916 , the maths could be interesting. Let’s see how the maths plays out with Zenith Bank H1 first. How do you reconcile figure of almost X4 when naira only did approx X2? |

One simple investment quote
The time to buy is when there's blood in the streets.
The cheaper you can buy a stock, the higher your margin of safety.
“There will be bear markets about twice every 10 years and recessions twice every 10-12 years but nobody has been able to predict them reliably. So the best thing to do is to buy when shares are thoroughly depressed and that means when other people are selling.” - John Templeton |

emmanuelewumi: The beauty of some of these credit facilities for investment purposes is their flexibility.
Assuming you have an Asset Backed loan of N1 million at 20%, they usually give for 6 months with the option to rollover as long as possible.
The interest for 6 months will be 100k, after paying the interest the investor can rollover, if the investor paid the interest and another 200k out of the principal. The principal sum will be 800k and the interest payable in the next 6 months will be 80k.
Salary earners can opt for the monthly payment option.
I usually do the quarterly and half year payments well done, sir. do you know if morgan gives out such loans? can you kindly list brokers you know that does so? |

Foundationchamp: Hello everyone, I am new here. I have few questions
My Dangote flour mills shares payment has not been made by the registrar. Crescent registrars keeps saying it's until SEC approves it. This has been going on since early last year. What can I do about it
My second question is I have IBTC share i bought during their IPO, I want to sell it but my broker UNEX capital says it not with them since I bought it myself. I collect dividend for it directly in my account. The question is how can I sell the shares I didn't buy through a broker.
Thanks i assume you bought your shares on the floor. what does SEC need to approve if that is the case? |

Time to ditch meristem (they have not paid me my last Zenith bank dividend sef) It is not the responsibility of your broker to pay your dividends. |

ositadima1: Everyone is talking about a global financial crisis. My question is, since it is global, will it start in Nigeria ni? Won't it first manifest in foreign markets before we feel the effects here?
That is how one particular individual is always posting about a generational low. Will this low start with the Nigerian markets ni? I am confused o. Who is afraid of generational low? Let it come. It is even the best time to hammer on the floor. |

Olaide1295: I second this. My UCAP and zenith dividends for the last 2 years. I have not received them.
I chased Meristem, they sent some AfriPrud forms to fill. Its been about 3 months now of back-forth email. I stopped buying more shares in my Meristem since last year. I will just hold those ones I have there. why not contact the registrars directly? fill the forms yourself, get it stamped by your bankers and scan it to their CC email address. it has worked for me many times. |

Opsylo: Please house, I don't understand what's going on with Morgan capital,I wanted to sell one my shares in my portfolio and I couldn't find it in my portfolio,I Ve send mail, make call ,but no response from them since last week,I don't know if any body in the house had experience this before. i always advise all investors to never rely solely on their broker in order to know their stocks position. the shares depository center is the CSCS and for 3K annually, you will get to know the true position of your stocks at any point in time. use it as a check against your broker. your broker can sell your stocks and still indicate the complete opposite on your account. |
