This is a case of Nigerians trying to be more westernized than the West.

Out in the West men try as much as possible to have a house wife, because she will take care of her kids properly. Unless they both agree they need money or that she should pursue her career. But by Nigerian logic he should be able to take care of the child and bring the wife money to show that he is important in the Union, while all she has to do is go to work, have drinks after work before coming back to run a finger along surfaces to know if such a man did his duties as a good house husband.

A pregnant woman who can't work due to the stress of pregnancy is not lazy. You won't know this maybe because you've not experienced it.
A nursing mother also can't work because a new born till 2years usually requires 24/7 care. Again you won't know this maybe because you've not experienced it!
When the baby turns 2, a lot of women are pregnant again so the cycle continues until she is done baring kids.

A woman who is raising her family is not lazy and works 24/7. Don't worry you'll experience it.
She must be take care of by her husband UNTIL she is post delivery and nursing.
