Guy, i was fortunate to meet one who i think is sincere. I bought an asus mini from him in january and it has not given me problem since then. I still enjoy my 5hours battery life. given your definition, i must say they exist but are not free to interact with the living (friend or foe). They are too preoccupied with their their translated state -good or bad- than to start pursuing people. We do not have scriptures to show that they do. All we have are people's 'experiences' which if true are perpetrated by familiar spirits.

First i have to ask you to clarify what you mean by ghost: does it mean just spirits (such as demons and angels) or souls of dead men?

The bible makes us they both exist. Only that the former are free to 'walk around' while the latter are confined to either heaven or hell at death-until they pick up their immortal bodies after rapture or white throne judgement respectively. It was this body that Jesus had at ressurection.

The jews just like most oriental religions believe in the existence of disenbodied biengs which Jesus did not deny their existence in his explanation. Remember the same thing happened when he walked on water and the desciples thought he was a ghost and he did not rebuke them for believing in ghosts but for their fear of ghosts.

Secondly, in the case of samuel: what nicromansers do is to acess the familiar spirit (demon) that walked with the dead and has all the information about him. It is this demon that speaks with their voice and give accurate information about them. But in the case of samuel, what the witch of endor saw was actually the real person hence her terrific cry that it had to be saul because what she was seeing was not one of her usual 'customers'.

Finally, the HOly Spirit is also called Holy Ghost in some scriptures. So if you believe He exists, then you have to believe that ghosts exist.

if you are a believer, God has forgiven you. But the concern should be what prompted you to do it in the first place. You need to understand that God loves you and will not withold anyting from you. If you are not getting what your heart desires, He is not the one at fault. Maybe He is trying to get you to look in a direction while you are looking at another.

John the baptist was only a 'type' of elijah. The scripture you quoted actually means 'one with the spirit or anointing of elijah' this simply means the aunction on the two men were alike in a lot of ways.

However, they are two different human beings. I believe whem we get to heaven we will see the two of them.

Another analogy can be found in the two witnesses mentioned inthe book of revelation. The two of them are called 'moses and elijah' of course we know from the story of the rich man and lazarus that the dead cannot preach to the living. So theologians believe they are two human beings with the annointing of moses and elijah respectively.

Thirdly, on the mountain of transfiguration, there was moses and elijah, moses representing the law and elijah representing the prophets. These two are a type of the two major way though which God has spoken to mankind. So they are two different poeple.

First of all it is pertinent to state that the death in the verse is not physical but spiritual that is; eternal separation from God. I will take it from the angle of the sins that leads to death. These can be grouped into two

1) not believing in Jesus; this is the sin that the HOly spirit reproves the world of this primarily concerns the unbeliever.

2) the second is rejecting Jesus after being saved. This is talked about in heb 6:5. This includes blasphaming the Holy Spirit which can only be done by someone who is mature in the faith.

All other sins i believe do not lead to death because they have been atoned for.

The article does not say she still does those things neither does it say that she approves them. She was just talking about the things she did before coming to GOd and that she accepts responsibility for them.

Frankly speaking, i don't understand why these gay people and proponents are trying so hard to push their vice down people's throat. Why make so much effort to validate it if there is nothing wrong with it? For all i care nobody will spend so much time and money to prove the rightness of heterosexual marriage and having kids.

The truth is that God loves men irrespective of their sins but that doesn't mean he approves a sinful lifestyle.

As thorpido stated, the emphasis of the parable is not the fact that the servant is dishonest 'cos the bible already called him that. The emphasis or lesson is the fact that instead of his usual way of using the perishable (money) to buy the perishable (things for himself to enjot) he learnt how to use the perishable (money) to purchase the imperishable (relathionships).

What Jesus was illustrating is that the lowest use of money is to buy things while the highest use is to transform lifes. The reward of the fomer is instant gratification whilw the reward for the latter is will entend even till eternity.

Abraham's bosom doesn't literally mean his chest. its just like saying Abraham's dome, palace or corner. i believe this does not mean all of heaven(at the time) but the location where Lazarus was.

as for those who think the story of the rich man and Lazarus was a parable, i suggest you go and read the passage again.

1) paradise before Jesus resurrected was under the earth. that is why when Saul called on Samuel at the house of the witch of endor the bible says 'Samuel came up'. also, Ephesians makes us understand that Jesus descended to hell before going up to heaven. He went to 'liberate' the people there and took them to heaven. that is why Matthew's account of the resurrection says the saints that were dead were seen on the streets of Jerusalem before they went to heaven. Paul confirms this when He said 'i knew a man who was caught up to the third heaven' the next verse he called the same place paradise. so that is how Abraham's bosom is now in heaven (above).

AGAINST
