owobokiri:You're free to say all these just as if Dangote is the government! For your information, Dangote is just a private entrepreneur doing his business! He saw a gap in the petroleum value chain and decided to invest and now you are encouraging a union coming to play politics just because he employed people to work for him? Fine, people are free to join union but their intentions to either join or not must be subject to the policies of the organization they work for. He hasn't asked anyone not to join union if they so wish but that same union must be willing to employ them if the company feels threatened by their activities within the refinery. All we should clamour is for the union to pull resources together, establish a refinery and rival Dangote and then practice their unionism freely. Come to think of it, imagine there's no Dangote refinery today! You have obviously forgotten how you queued up at filling stations and prices jacked up arbitrarily wit the narratives of landing costs, increase in dollar rate, war in Gaza, Israel, Russia bla bla bla. They might even say that NEPA took light at the ports and the ships offloading fuel were unable to offload! Abeg, face the government and leave this man alone. Unionism is a right but not a license to disrupt private businesses. If they're so sincere about workers working conditions as they claim, why only refinery? Why not some other sectors too? Let them do it across all sectors, then we will no that they really meant well for the citizens. By then, all of us will even join them. |
But why exactly is Peter Obi's people always heavy on "zone to the south, zone to the south!"? Yet they always claim he's not desperate to be president but knowing that zoning favours them is the condition for wide mobilization! That aside, you're going to join a party that was formed by a group of ambitious people doing everything to ensure they become relevant in the political space and that same party has now been adopted as a viable platform by a political heavyweight, who has been in the race for 5 consecutive times for the same position. What exactly were you expecting? To jettison their own ambition and relinquish the ticket to you on a platter of gold or as what exactly? I expect you people to be smarter than this, honestly. If you ask me, trust me, Obi and his obidients have no business joining the coalition in the first place. But then, who am I to complain or school him on what he sees or what he does? I only wish him whatever he wishes himself. |
Honestly this PBAT is a president with a difference! He recognizes and respect history! Him and Oba Ladoja have come a long way and it's just appropriate he attended and he did! Even his speech was apt 👌 with no drama or exaggerations. He is obviously loved and respected...and whether you like it or not, he remains the president and the 4 + 4 slogan subsists. Our prayers is that the two icons of democracy are granted long years to further deliver the dividend of democracy to their subjects. Long live Oba Rasheed Ladoja Long live President Bola Ahmed Tinubu God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria |
omoredia:We are saying the same thing. Interestingly, it is everyone's responsibility to pay taxes to the government, myself included!. The obodo oyinbo that all of you are clamouring to japa to is built with tax payers money. Till today, children in primary and secondary schools in western countries all get free education, funded by the tax payers' money! even the infrastructure, everything you can think of are bankrolled with the tax payers money. I will also have you know that the students that are funded by Nelfund Student Education Loan are with your tax. So, the earlier you know you are already paying a lot, the better for you ....and unfortunately, nothing can be done about it. It's not only you, it is all of us! |
omoredia:Therefore, you are sad that some people will be opportuned to learn a skill that can help them become independent all because you pay a tax to the government and your tax has, in turn, been used to provide education for its citizens at no cost! SMH |
Kemetian:Thank you for putting these enemies of progress where they truly belong. they never appreciate their own. He should show us the one his state governor provided for them in their village/state. |
Samantha125:They will all be inherited by relatives and brothers! |
Krankhead:Those who supported her only did so out of hatred for Akpabio and the government he represents |
SmartPolician:The same way you people deceived him till you pushed him into biting the finger that fed him to the extent he got suspended, lost six months of his tenure as well as the support of his legislative subordinates. And you only went mute while he alone stuffed the period all alone! You have started again! Now you have suddenly found your voices just because he's lucky to have been reinstated at the end of the suspension period. Well, I'm sure he's learnt his lessons, wiser now and knows his real enemies. |
Wallade:I agree with you where you said DAPPMAN should look into setting up some refinery business of their own. But you see this your stand on Dangote being a capitalist and preventing external influence, I want to believe that you're a stakeholder in the opposition who sees Dangote as a threat! I will approach this issue from an ordinary Nigerian standpoint as we used to think that all of us want this country to move forward and knowing that one of the major issues we have in this country is fuel. Now a refinery has been able to solve that problem and issues are coming up from external unionism. This doesn't make any sense. If they have issues, they should call him to a round table for a reasonable negotiation and not try to dictate to him how to run his own personal business. I would love a situation where DAPPMAN members come together to build a bigger refinery to rival Dangote. He's not the only one given a license to build. |
This protest makes no sense to me! None of you know what informs the decision of the church's governing authorities. It's not for you to complain because you do not have the privilege to choose your pastor. Stay there and worship your God or simply switch if you're not comfortable with the one pastoring the church. It's as simple as that. This protest is not but clout chasing! |
The money has been shared again and your governors and local government chairmen are beneficiaries on behalf of your state and local governments for development, infrastructures and empowerment. Hold them accountable! Hold them tight and ask questions if they're not performing before you come online to talk about what the president have not done. These are your representatives and they've been settled on your behalf! |
i'm already seeing the negative comments of the enemies of progress. and i can only say one thing, which i have always said about this noble project. Unfortunately for them, Tinubu does not need their permission before doing what he has to do. Anybody who is not happy with this project is very free to continue using the old road when it's completed. as for us, we will use the road, we will leave from Lagos by 7am through the is;land and see ourselves in PH at noon. Even when it is tolled, we will pay. Everybody wants to jap simply because they have access to many things, including infrastructure but to build their own, mbanu! they claim it's not necessary, na road them go chop? smh! |
The defense says it all. As a wife and mother who places values on her husband and home, you feel it's okay to stay away from your husband for a long time even when he has invited you many times so you can bond. You give excuses but the man feels the need to fulfill his hormonal and marital needs! Pls tell me what can be more important than your husband's need for attention. I am not supporting the footballer husband for having a side chick but the actions of the wife gave room for that to happen. You were intentionally absent and the bobo found a placeholder to fulfill his sexual thirst. How is that a crime? If the man's defense is anything to go by, then the wife is only whipping sentiment to draw sympathy from the unsuspecting social media users who would want to see her as the victim just because she's a woman! |
Racheal45:😂😂😂😂😂 It's the mentality for me! Now I see why your politicians do what they do. It's simply because the elected are a random sample of the electorates. So, nothing different! |
omoredia:Oh I see, that is the reason the pilots should be licensed to fly commercial planes filled with innocent lives while on kolos, right? Your understanding is quite shallow. You're entitled to your own opinion tho. |
omoredia:This comment lacks common sense! And I don't blame you people, if any of your relatives has ever experienced the consequences of pilots recklessness (God forbid), you would not be saying this! Or imagine that you were among the passengers on that particular plane and then outcome of investigation now reveals that the pilot was drunk at the time, I hope you would commend the pilot for touching down at a quarter to the end of the runway while under the influence of alcohol (risking your life as well as that of your fellow passengers in the process). Air Peace should be made to sanction any of their pilots flying their planes under such circumstances. They're are carrying innocent lives on board. If they can't value their own lives, they should, at least, value the lives of those on board who trusted them with their lives. I hate rubbish. |
This is the kind of news they like to jump on. Wike will not die and nothing bad will happen to him! For those who wish him death, well I don't know what to tell you oo but you will share in whatever you pray for others, whether good or bad. |
opes:Absolutely nothing! The NLC is only interested in truncating peace and nothing more. Imagine the fuel supply sufficiency we have enjoyed in the last two years, they are allergic to peace! If you know you're truly fighting for the people, every sector of the economy , including the private school teachers (some of whom even earn less than 50k monthly) and Lebanese workers must be unionized. This is not healthy at all and federal government should step in and do the needful. |
I already knew she would have a hard time resuming her senatorial duties after her suspension. She shot herself in the foot with the steps she took after she got suspended! Her unauthorized attendance and presentation at the parliamentary summit in the US, her appeal of the court judgement despite her failure to substantiate the sexual harassment allegation against the Senate president and the Facebook post making mockery of the Senate leadership! Now that the matter is in court, all the parties involved may have to maintain the status quo pending the determination of the matter. And what this means is that she automatically spend more days or months outside of the red chamber. In addition, the odds are even against her because according to the information in the public domain, once you are elected a senator and are admitted to the red chamber, there is a handbook you are given containing the rules that guides your conducts in the Senate which she has flouted. I am sure this will be used against her. Even as a lawyer, she should know better. Although she's a lawyer, she will device a way out. |
Honestly this can not be true! I will like those posting this kind of picture of a ward existing anywhere in Nigeria 2025 to stopeet. On the other hand, if it is actually true, which i seriously doubt, then, I just have a few questions. |
MyExpression:But I'm sure you would not wish that for any of your relatives. Pls when someone has done something that's out of place, let's call a spade by it's name. This is completely unacceptable. Is this the dividend of democracy he promised them when they were voting him to represent them at the state level? |
comradee1248:I actually expected this complaint (na bridge we go chop?) so I am not disappointed. My obidient brothers, if it is not something that will put food on their table today then it is not necessary. they are free to eat anything they like actually, but for me, infrastructural development is the way to go. All of you want to go abroad and enjoy their own infrastructure but to build your own you say it is unnecessary all you want is food, forgetting that it is the same infrastructure that will aid your businesses to make the environment conducive for you. Your understanding is something else. |
christopher123:I love your comment bro. Although, the Imo state people are busy claiming that Hope is the worst governor in the history of Imo but my personal visit to the state actually proved them wrong. Then you begin to wonder what his real offense was. It is important that we commend these politicians when they're performing so they will be encouraged to do more and not just downplay their efforts by saying that afterall, they're not doing these projects with their personal money. (That's what some are fond of saying). I love a situation where all these other governors emulate their performing counterparts by also giving their people valuable projects. We have the capacity and the potentials, we can do it, allocations come promptly and are heavy. They are majorly for development, to make life easier for the people and not for keeps. |
happney65:Abeg leave that guy o, they don't celebrate good things. They're so allergic to such |
ElevationD:Tender apology to the Senate president over the petty Facebook post she made |
Well, I think most of these things are just cultural...and nothing really special! As a Yoruba man for instance, I'd rather prefer to eat amala, gbegiri and ewedu than eat akpu, likewise and Igbo man would prefer to eat akpu and ofe nsala than eat tuwo. So, northerners would prefer to eat tuwo shinkafa and wanke than eating amala and gbegiri and ewedu. So, there's nothing bias about it. As for hygiene, I think it's general. Even as a Yoruba man, I will not walk into a dirty amala joint in the name of food. It has nothing to do with tribe. This is just personal. |
Ofunaofu:No one is trying to take her guaranteed constitutional rights away from her. But remember she earned herself another punishment which made the court to order her to tender apologies in two national dailies! That is completely outside her unruly behavior in the Senate that earned her the suspension. So they're two different cases. When she finishes the Senate punishment, she will carry out the public apologies, failure of which the Senate might refuse to allow her resume her legislative duties, and the court, which she could have gone to seek redress has given her a task she refused to do. I wish her the best tho but I'm sure she'll not be willing to apologize. |
Makavelli001:q Don't buy that. Anyone that's offering a service must be willing to prove his/her competence before billing the client Never make any upfront payment to anybody. Tell them that you have the deal, they are offering you a service and it has to be on your terms. Remember you're the one employing them to provide marketing services. Never allow anyone bamboozle you into accepting unfavorable business terms. All the best. |
Oh my God! Imagine that woman with the little boy in the Mediterranean sea! This is wicked and uncalled for. How on earth do you go on a risky journey with a little child! I just hope and pray that they get the needed help in record time before hypothermia sets in. This is very unfortunate. I don't blame the government of their countries, I blame them 💯 % |
seunmsg:Rather than hold their state governors and local government chairmen accountable even after getting the information that they get these allocations in billions on a monthly basis no!, they must keep asking "where's the money going". They keep dreaming that Tinubu will come to their street from Abuja to do stuffs for them. And it will never happen. The earlier we know how and where to channel our questions and requests, the better for all of us. Right now, all the political leaders are keeping quiet because they know that they could no longer sell the narrative of "Abuja has not released money", but we fail to ask questions! |
